Ich wollte draußen einen Kaffee trinken. Draußen wurde aber nicht bedient, weil es ja evtl. regnen könnte. Auf meine Frage, ob ich meinen Kaffee selbst mit raus nehmen kann, wurde dies verneint. Sehr mies

Wir wurden schnell und freundlich bedient. Das Essen hat uns gut geschmeckt. Das Café Restaurant liegt direkt am Domplatz.

War mit geschäftlichen Besuch dort, wieder eine hervorragende Küche, aktuell super Spargelkarte. Portionsgröße sehr gut.

Nachdem es uns beim ersten Besuch trotz des eher gehobenen Preisniveaus wirklich gut gefallen hat, waren wir heute leider enttäuscht. Schon zu Beginn mussten wir ungewöhnlich lange warten, bis wir überhaupt bedient wurden, während andere Gäste deutlich schneller berücksichtigt wurden. Die Servicekraft wirkte insgesamt sehr überfordert. Der Salat war an den Rändern bereits deutlich welk, geschmacklich jedoch noch in Ordnung. Die Currywurst hingegen hatte einen merkwürdigen Nachgeschmack und war zudem viel zu stark mit Currysauce überladen, was leider auch die Pommes beeinträchtigt hat. Insgesamt stimmt für uns hier das Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis nicht mehr – insbesondere bei einem Preis von 15,95 € hätten wir deutlich mehr erwartet.

Schade! Als Zugezogene zeige ich stolz meinen Freunden und Bekannten die schöne Altstadt von Halberstadt. So auch heute. Um 11 Uhr wollten wir zu viert einen Kaffee draußen auf der Terrasse trinken. Aussage der Chefin: Draußen erst ab 14 Uhr. Keine Ausnahme! Wir wollten die Frühlingssonne genießen und dafür hatte man auch Verständnis. Auf dem Rückweg um ca. 12:30 Uhr konnten und mussten wir allerdings sehen, dass alle Plätze draußen besetzt waren. Warum ist man so stur sein? In einer Stadt, die nicht jeder als Ausflugsziel auf dem Schirm hat, sollten sich die Gastronomen über jeden Touri freuen. Als Bewohnerin der Stadt habe ich vorher auch schon die schlechte Laune der Bedienung gespürt. Heute wollte ich dem Café noch eine Chance geben. Tja! Das Team Löper bleibt also für mich das Café no 1 auf der Liste.

Tolles Ambiente, sehr schöne Lage und nette Bedienung!!

Reichhaltiges Angebot an Torten und Kuchen, alles selbst gebacken und vorzüglich. Das Speisenangebot ist zwar nicht sehr umfangreich, aber dafür hervorragend zubereitet und sehr schmackhaft. Es gibt Tagesgerichte, sehr gut zuvereitet, preislich super. Einziges Manko: Öffnungszeiten. Abends ist leider zu.

Auf dem Rückweg aus dem Harz spontan einen Kaffee trinken wollen , unfreundlicher Empfang ob wir denn reserviert hätten , nein natürlich nicht sind auf der Durchreise( drin waren viele Tische frei ) Naja , dann eben nicht 🤷🏻‍♀️ zur Krönung mussten unsere Kinder dann auch noch jeder 1€ fürs Klo zahlen , kein Tschüss kein nichts !! Haben ein anderes nettes Café gefunden , HIER NIE WIEDER, schade

Cordon Bleu, Bismarckheringe, Mandarine-Joghurt-Quark Torte, koffeinfreier Kaffee, alles sehr lecker, zügig und sehr freundlich serviert, vielen Dank! Sauberes, nett eingerichtetes Lokal, klare Empfehlung!

Wir haben dieses Restaurant im vorbeigehen gefunden und weil wir hungrig waren sind wir eingekehrt. Wir haben es nicht bereut. Das Essen war von der Vorspeise bis zum Espresso wunderbar, und vor allem frisch zubereitet. Der Service war unaufdringlich zuvorkommend und professionell. Beim nächsten Besuch in Halberstadt kommen wir wieder.

Nein das geht absolut nicht, jetzt zum zweiten Mal geschehen. Bei einem Ausflug im Harz machen wir auf der Heimfahrt einen Umweg über das Café um im schönen Ambiente einen leckeren Café und Kuchen zu genießen. Gestern 15:51 DIALOG mit frustrierte Mitarbeiterin “wir schließen jetzt” Wir “nur einen schnellen Cafe es ist doch bis 18:00 offen und wir haben extra einen Umweg gemacht” “Nein wir hatten seit 6 Stunden keine Kunden” Beim letzten Mal baten wir darum den Cafe draußen in der Abendsonne zu genießen auch eine Stunde vor Schliesszeit. Vielleicht liegt es daran, dass sie keine Kunden haben? Wohl denn, unsere Empfehlung Rösterei Café Löper

Wir sind um 14:00 spontan reingestolpert und wurden gleich freundlich empfangen. Wir hatten Matjes mit Bratkartoffeln und Salat - war sehr lecker. Das Ambiente ist schön und der Service sehr freundlich.

We stopped here for the first time after visiting the cathedral. The staff was very attentive and the food was excellent and delicious. If we are ever in the area again, we would gladly eat here again.

We stopped here today (for the first time) for a cappuccino. The cake in the display case looked so tempting, so we each ordered a slice of cherry crumble cake. What can I say? We were thrilled. Delicious and absolutely fresh. It's baked on-site, we asked. We'll definitely be back.

We tried the recommendation of the day: a salad cellar with two different sausages, a local specialty. Very friendly service, the food arrived quickly, and it tasted delicious. This is a great place to unwind after a tour of the cathedral treasury.

A lovely ambiance and cozy decor make for a relaxing stay. A selection of cakes, ice cream, and other food is available. The service is very attentive. A very nice place.

I would have liked to write something substantive. However, it didn't happen because, despite our reservation (confirmed in writing via email), we found ourselves in front of closed doors on July 18, 2025. A note on the door announced that they wouldn't reopen for a few days. The disappointment was immense, and we had to find a last-minute replacement for our 86-year-old mother's birthday dinner.

Super friendly staff! Delicious 3-course lunch special for €22…

Lunch at this charming restaurant was a real highlight. The food was delicious and prepared with great attention to detail. The service was exceptionally warm and attentive, and we were particularly impressed by the child-friendliness. We would definitely be back!

In and of itself, a beautiful venue with a small outdoor area. The cakes and the dishes brought to the other guests all looked appealing and delicious. However, during our relatively short coffee break yesterday, we noticed that the older waiter had a different understanding of hygiene than our expectations of a professional restaurant. During our approximately 30-minute stay, he wiped the sweat from his forehead with his bare right hand, then rubbed it dry with both hands. He licked his fingers, including his right hand, to place napkins on the small silver serving trays, and he also used the blue cleaning cloth (for the tables) in both hands. All without washing his hands even once in between, but unfortunately, he also repeatedly picked up spoons, the unwrapped cubes of brown sugar, and even the small amaretti biscuits to place on the trays as an accompaniment to the drinks. In our opinion, the most disgusting hygiene failure he committed was when, while clearing up after an English-speaking group of visitors from the next room, he put the supposedly unused sugar cubes back into the sugar cube glass on the drinks pass. It didn't look like an oversight, but rather a habit. As far as I know, food items that have been passed through the pass cannot be taken back and under no circumstances reprocessed. How would the employee know whether the guests also touched the small side dishes? Even with pre-packaged goods, this is a difficult issue. Those in charge definitely need to provide extensive training in this area.

wir waren als paar mit hund das erste mal dort und waren über das essen wirklich begeistert. kein wunder, dass das lokal von slow food empfohlen wird. das omelett mit kartoffeln und gemüse war sehr köstlich. ganz frisch zubereitet sah es auch bestens aus und hat uns hervorragend geschmeckt. der preis war mit 18,50 höher als in anderen lokalen, aber jeden cent wert. die bedienung war in ordnung und wir mussten nicht lange auf getränke und essen warten. einziges manko des lokals: mit hund darf man nur draußen sitzen. sehr, sehr schade, denn wir würden gerne auch zu anderen jahreszeiten dort einkehren.

When the sun shines in the afternoon, there is hardly a nicer place for coffee and cake... We were here after visiting the cathedral and were able to sit on the small terrace in the wonderful sunshine and look out over the cathedral square. Delicious coffee with milk, fine tea and delicious cakes will make you forget time.

Am Rande des wunderschönen Domplatzes in Halberstedt gibt es dieses nette Restaurant/Café. Da wir einen Hund dabei hatten, mussten wir auf der sonnigen Terrasse Platz nehmen. Die Speisekarte ist klein, bietet saisonale und regionale Speisen. Außerdem sehr leckere Kuchen. Mein Partner wählt Matjes mit Bratkartoffeln, ich hatte das tägliche Pastagericht mit Blattspinat und Zander.

A very nice restaurant with a beautiful location on Halberstätter Domplatz. The restaurant is beautifully decorated inside. The food was very tasty and the service was also very nice. In addition, the prices of the food are also completely appropriate. In conclusion, highly recommended.

An excellent restaurant in a great location on Halberstadt Cathedral Square. The classic German dishes are refined with a French or Mediterranean touch and therefore stand out from those of other cuisines. The ambience is very pleasant in a traditional style and the staff is extremely attentive. Definitely worth a visit.

We stopped there looking for something to cool off and were able to eat ice cream outside in the shade. The taste is good but unfortunately there are a lot of ice crystals in it, there is room for improvement.

...it's my first time in Halberstadt and I'm immediately impressed by the gastronomy! Nice and attentive service, the cuisine with a clear signature and the ambience is simply magical! In my opinion, the “Stephanus” is an absolute MUST if Halberstadt is on your itinerary. Enjoy it while you're here!

We were there for lunch and later again for coffee. We enjoyed it very much and the staff was very friendly. We can't say anything negative, on the contrary we can highly recommend this restaurant and cafe.

Beautiful place! We were lucky and got a table outside on the small terrace. The lovely service lady gave us a menu very quickly and was really super nice even though the tables were full! Our drinks were well chilled, beer and Bionade were served with glasses. Bionade in particular is usually only available with straw. Thank you for that! Our dishes were great, there's really NOTHING to complain about! The surroundings are very beautiful and connect the sights together. We can really recommend taking a nice break there and will definitely come back…. :)

A cozy, lovingly furnished café with very friendly, attentive staff. Everything fits together here and the house specialty (potato salad with cucumber and two types of Halberstädter sausages) is an absolute poem. It was so great that we were here two days in a row; and were recognized by the staff on the second day. We will come back. ☺️

Were here for the first time today and were very satisfied. We had the currywurst with fries and our daughter had a schnitzel with fries. The meal was excellent. And the service was super friendly. If we're in the area again, we'll be happy to come back.

Great lunch experience. Cuisine: German dishes and pasta of the day. I had the pork schnitzel with kohlrabi and peas. Plus boiled potatoes. A poem!👍🏻 The service is great - the staff is humorous and humane. The cakes are also highly recommended. In terms of price and quality there is nothing to complain about. The building on Cathedral Square is very attractive (see photo). There are even seats in front of the building. If anything, the only SMALL complaint is that the furnishings (tables/chairs) aren't that great. But in the end 5 stars because everything else outweighs everything else. Keep it up and greetings

Die regionale Beschaffung ist durch die kurze und saisonal geprägte Karte absolut authentisch. Die Gerichte harmonieren auch am feinen Gaumen und zeugen von frischen Zutaten und Geschick in der Zubereitung. Der Service war sehr aufmerksam, auch separate Wünsche wurden bei der Bestellung direkt mit aufgenommen und zur vollständigen Zufriedenheit sehr zuverlässig umgesetzt. Absolute Empfehlung, das Essen von der kleinen feinen Karte war super lecker, ganz freundliche Bedienung und ein tolles Ambiente direkt am Dom. Die Auswahl an Kuchen und Torten ist klasse. Die Preise sind angemessen, rundum hat einfach alles gestimmt .

Das Essen ist absolute Spitze und die Bedienung ist total nett - und das immer wieder. Wir waren in diesem Jahr mit einer großen 12-Personengruppe zu Gast und alle waren begeistert. Kurz vor Küchenschluss konnten wir noch was bestellen. Die Bedienung war sehr freundlich und das Essen hat fantastisch geschmeckt. Entenleber in Wein gebraten, dazu Katoffel-Kürbis-Stampf, geschmort Zwiebeln und Apfelspalten! Selten so etwas leckeres gegessen.

Wir waren schon mal hier und es war wieder schön. Das Wetter war toll, die Bedienung war sehr nett und freundlich. Der Kaffee war auch gut. Kuchen wird hier selbst gebacken, den kann man nur empfehlen. Wir kommen gerne wieder. Auch für Hunde gibt es eine Portion Wasser.

Das Lokal hatte bei unserem Besuch eine sehr angenehme und ruhige Atmosphäre. Die Bedienungen waren sehr aufmerksam und freundlich und unser Essen sehr schmackhaft.
