Steakhaus Rustika in Nettetal

This was my second visit to Steakhouse Rustica – and I wasn't disappointed either time. The steak was excellent, the service was great, and we were completely satisfied. Highly recommended, we'll definitely be back!

We went to Rustika again with six people. To be honest, the food was okay, but not great. We were disappointed with the waiter. Very unfriendly. Not a smile on his face. It felt like he was trying too hard. We had noticed this on our previous visit as well. We didn't feel comfortable.

It's always perfect there. The food tastes delicious every time. It's also ready quickly, no long waits. The staff is very friendly and always helpful. In the summer, it's wonderful to eat in the summer garden—highly recommended!

The food is fine, but the portions are actually a bit too large. The large part of the restaurant is attractively decorated, but there's a lot of noise. It was difficult to hear each other clearly. The service isn't very friendly, as we've noticed before. They walk around as if they don't really enjoy their work. We also noticed that there seems to be a distinction between who gets a drink on the house after paying. When we commented on this, they pretended not to understand us. Rustika was good for this one, but from now on, we'll be back to our usual restaurants.

Very tasty food, but at the end the waiter said we could only pay with a Maestro card. No MasterCard? No Visa? Please offer other payment options!

The food is good, tasty and affordable

The ambiance and the food were excellent. However, we found the service staff to be very cold and unfriendly. Even though the entire meal, from starters to main courses and desserts, was very good, we sorely missed the warm service, which can sometimes be a bit of a smile. We rather felt that the way they treated guests seemed condescending and arrogant.

It looks cozy. The staff was friendly and I was served quickly. The food was excellent: fries with a schnitzel and mayonnaise. The salad was free.

We come here regulary and the food is amazing. They always make a special plate for us for 4 people. The staff is also great. A favorite for us.

We had a voucher, so we went there for dinner... We got a table for two on a Sunday afternoon... The staff wasn't particularly friendly... The food was okay, edible... but not particularly tasty! Even the dessert (vanilla ice cream with hot chocolate) was ruined by the wrongly prepared chocolates. The atmosphere is nice and clean! We'll gladly refrain from another visit...

Never before have we experienced such rudeness. The food was good, that's for sure. After our meal, we wanted to pay, and the waiter said he'd be back shortly, but he still hadn't arrived after fifteen minutes. So we walked up to pay. But we were scolded and told to stay at the table until the waiter arrived. It was outrageous, never having experienced such rudeness before, and right in the middle of other guests. I walked out, and my wife went back and stood waiting at a table where new guests had already been seated. We waited another 10 minutes, and the other guests even told us to leave and not pay. We will never, ever go back here again. This level of rudeness is beyond words. I will never, ever recommend this restaurant to anyone; even one star is too much.

Terrible service. I'd be mortified to treat customers like that if it were my business. Simply antisocial. It shouldn't matter if it's busy or not, but you can't be so antisocial with customers that you think what's going on here. We'll never go there again, although I don't think the owner cares.

They make a lot of effort despite the huge crowds. The food is good. I had the liver, which was really good with the bacon. I'd go back.

Nothing special. The food was okay. But they definitely love cheese. There was way too much of it everywhere. The service was okay. It was busy, yes. But waiting 20 minutes to order a drink is unacceptable. And waiting 10 minutes for a coffee in a nearly empty restaurant just before closing time is unacceptable, too. The atmosphere is great. Our Dutch neighbors seem to love the place too. It was okay, but I probably won't be going back.

Shame! Service is really great, let's start with that! 3 hard-working and very friendly young men. But a chef who ruins a beautiful piece of steak 3 times. I find that really sad. And then to get a big mouth from the owner. I find that really unnecessary. I think his ego was hurt and he can't handle criticism very well. In the end, I'm not the one who ruined the dish. But the one who prepared it. And he should have vented his anger on that person. And not on me and a friend of mine. I had ordered the "most expensive" piece of steak (compared to Dutch restaurants this was cheap by the way). When my dish arrived it looked beautifully presented. Nicely seared on all sides. A beautiful presentation. I ALWAYS order my steak rare at every restaurant where I order it from the menu (normally I order tournedos, this didn't have rustica. At least that's not how it was on the menu, but it may have been the same cut, different name). I also always cut my steak in the middle to feel the core temperature. I did this with Rustika. That's how I found out that the core temperature was much too low (refrigerator temperature!!). And therefore not cooked properly, which was reassured by the chef. I reported this to the staff. I got an apology and they took the plate away. The second time the staff came back with the same piece of meat (no problem at all in my eyes if it was good). Unfortunately my steak was cooked so far that it was almost well done. This was not what I had ordered. And if it had been medium rare. I wouldn't have made a point of it either. Even though I preferred rare. But because it was cooked so well I asked to take the plate back to the kitchen. They would make a new one for me. Again apologies from the staff. My friend had finished her food in the meantime. The conversation topic wasn't really very pleasant like that. Eating out together was a disappointment because of the whole situation, which was a shame. I was served the plate for the 3rd time. Again, it looked beautiful. Neatly seared. Nice crispy brown layer. After cutting it open, it turned out to have an even colder core temperature than the first steak. Then I kindly asked if they could take the food with them. I didn't need to eat anymore. He asked if I wanted to take it home. I was completely perplexed by that. Why would I want to take home my food that I didn't take a bite of. If it's not good. If it's unsafe to eat. Because the core temperature was really not higher than 9 degrees! I asked them to feel the inside myself. But they didn't want to do that. Rare should have a core temperature of 45-50 degrees to kill certain bacteria. The plate was taken away again. I indicated that I regretted it but didn't want to pay for my dish. Suddenly the owner walked up and stood in front of our table with a passive aggressive attitude. In a clumsy way he asked what the problem was. According to the owner it was my fault. And not the cooking skills of his chef. Fine, opinions clearly differ on that. But to use his attitude towards 2 female guests goes too far for me. I found it very disrespectful. We were no longer welcome, the owner said angrily. That was perfectly fine, I was not planning on coming back either. Not necessarily because of the dish. But because of the attitude and tone the owner used towards me. I am not served by this. And I have never experienced this before in any restaurant. Fortunately I have never had this experience before. And I have never had to send a plate back in a restaurant before. We paid for our drinks and my girlfriend's dish and left very disappointed. What a shame! The 2 stars for the atmosphere are because of the beautiful decoration outside the restaurant and the nice seating! Service gets 5 stars in my opinion. 3 super friendly young men!

Had a lovely meal and the food was good. If you didn't eat enough here, it's really your own fault, because there was no shortage of food. What beautiful dishes are served, even though it's a decent portion. Thanks for your good service. The icing on the cake after a fun day.

Good food, but the dishes are more like Greek than Serbian cuisine. Plenty of parking spaces in front of the restaurant. Despite the nice weather and Sunday, there was no need to make a reservation. There were plenty of free tables outside and an empty room inside. The food was OK, but nothing special stood out at all. Friendly service. Payment by card or cash possible.

Once again a delicious meal. The beer [the erdingers] could be served a bit colder. Especially now that the weather is getting warmer. Otherwise everything was good again!!

Married for 40 years, you think you're going to have a nice meal with the whole family and grandchildren, they forget my husband's soup, they're actually done with the main course and are waiting for the dessert menu, they come with the bill, 1 word, scandalous, I say I want to pay and they want to bring the dessert menu, takes 15 minutes. Well no thank you, please pay!!! Sad, we were just shown the door!!!

Very busy Serbian restaurant with an extensive menu. On a Monday evening it was already packed with staff who did their best to serve all tables but couldn't. The kitchen was also overloaded, which resulted in longer waiting times. The food was tasty and affordable. Worth repeating.

Fantastic service. They didn't have a place inside, but they did have a place outside and pillows and blankets were immediately arranged so that we could still have a bite to eat. And we took home whatever we couldn't eat. Very good and the food was very tasty too, and a lot of it

We haven't eaten at Rustica for a while now because the Pirate Spit has been taken off the menu! On Sunday we were delighted that the pirate skewer was available again, of course now at a higher price, which has now become standard in the catering industry! Unfortunately, flambéing the skewers at the table is no longer offered, which we found to be a shame as this was a small highlight! Then we found it very strange that people had to pay extra for the mayonnaise, like in a chip shop. We hope this trend of additional rip-offs won't catch on everywhere! The result of the higher prices is reduced in our circle of friends by eating out less and cooking for themselves more often and then inviting friends over. The food itself was delivered very quickly, of good quality and was very plentiful!

What a great restaurant this is! Very friendly and hard weekend staff with a bit of humor. It is nicely decorated, not too trendy, but still 'familial and atmospheric'. Enough choice on the menu and all for a very affordable price.

I had my table in the annex. Personally, I don't find it comfortable there. It's very loud and you feel like you're in a train station. The service is excellent and the food is delicious as always.

The food was absolutely first class and the service was simply outstanding - attentive, friendly and always with a smile. Me and my friend chose the grill plate, which completely convinced us. The meat was perfectly cooked, wonderfully juicy and seasoned to perfection. Our wives had the Cordon Blue and the Paprika Schnitzel, and they also loved it - such tender meat and served with wonderful side dishes! The grand finale was a fantastic dessert: tiramisu, apple strudel with vanilla ice cream, ice cream with hot raspberries and ice cream with hot chocolate. Each one was a delight for the senses - especially the apple strudel, which was wonderfully warm and aromatic. The ambience at Rustika is cozy and inviting, perfect for enjoying a relaxing evening. Great! Me and my wife with our 9-month-old child had the pleasure of being a guest at Steakhaus Rustika. The restaurant is child-friendly and helpful, even though we didn't have a reservation, they found a comfortable table for us. Restaurant staff speaking English - so I confirm the status of an international restaurant in this respect ☺️. The decor and atmosphere of the restaurant are very nice. We liked the food very much. You can pay by card and cash. We had no problem with parking. No cons. Access is very easy. The photo shows one of the ordered dishes: Steak Teller. We will definitely come back here with our son.

The service was great. The food came to the table quickly. The staff is very friendly! The food was good. In the past there was always a bargain at the end, unfortunately not this time. Too bad!

This steakhouse is a clear A! From the service to the food. The impression is rounded off by the fantastic ambience. I recommend the fillet steak for a taste explosion.

The restaurant has a kitschy interior interspersed with beautiful murals. There are enough seats to serve many people at the same time, but that also makes it extremely busy. Despite the crowds, the service was very fast, but not very friendly or welcoming. The main course even arrived while the starters were still on the table. The menu mainly consists of German and Yugoslavian cuisine. We ordered the carpaccio and prawns as a starter. The prawns were very tasty with plenty of bread. The carpaccio was served too thick and too wet, which was disappointing. The sirloin steak did not have much flavor and sauce was missing. The apple strudel for dessert was very tasty. Fine for once, but not worth repeating.

Het restaurant heeft een kitscherig interieur afgewisseld met mooie muurschilderingen. Er zijn genoeg zitplekken om veel mensen tegelijk te kunnen bedienen, maar daardoor is het ook ontzettend druk. Ondanks de drukte was de bediening erg snel, maar niet erg vriendelijk of gastvrij. Het hoofdgerecht kwam zelfs al terwijl de voorgerechten nog op tafel stonden. We bestelden als voorgerecht de carpaccio en gamba's. De gamba's waren erg lekker met genoeg brood erbij. De carpaccio was te dik en te nat geserveerd, die viel tegen. De entrecote had niet veel smaak en er miste saus. De apfelstrudel als dessert was dan wel weer erg lekker. Prima voor een keertje, maar niet voor herhaling vatbaar.

Rustika is no longer what it used to be. The grill plate, meat was lukewarm and not grilled well and the cordon bleu didn't taste particularly good either and was only moderately warm. In short, it was a disappointment to eat there. Years ago you could eat well there. You probably get a lot for your money. But I would rather have less but quality. Service etc. was very good. 2 stars only because of the less good food.

Please note that the new white bank cards from Rabobank are not accepted here. Here they still live in prehistoric times. They also didn't bother to keep the food warm when we had to go to pay. We've been getting food here for years, but we'll go somewhere else next time. And they don't care at all about the appearance they show!!

Actually only meat dishes with a German/Yugoslavian base: a lot of meat for not a lot of money. The service is very fast and you won't be without a drink for long, people pay close attention but without being pushy. An absolute breath of fresh air compared to the Dutch catering industry.

Now I know why I haven't been here for over 15 years. Food was ok, tasted pretty good. Nothing special, just ok. Dessert tasteless. Food prices are good, but almost €6 for a glass of wine is disproportionate in my opinion. Service and handling really very poor. Unfriendly, very long wait, maybe waved 10 times for something to drink, real drama. People who came in after us were helped earlier, etc. In the future we will drive around this restaurant again. Many better addresses in this segment.

Far too expensive for far too little and clumsy, rude manager without feeling and decency! Children are seen as difficult and paying is torture waiting until you weigh an ounce. Never coming here again...due to lack of humanity. Very unfortunate because the appearance of this tent is promising...however, it is too much of a money machine...oh yes and just like Digibeets below, I was also sick the next day with intestinal problems!

We've eaten here x times. The quality is always consistently very good 👍🏻 When you sit in the winter garden, the ambience is perfect. In the old wing... it's just old 😉 Service is always very friendly and accommodating. Tip: You should make a reservation because it is often full 😉

Looking for a grill house on a Saturday evening, well this was highly recommended. Delicious food, friendly staff, tasty and not too expensive. We would go back here again in a heartbeat. There was room without a reservation even though it was well attended.

Good food, essentially based on Balkan cuisine, at reasonable prices. Unfortunately, the vegetable toppings are bland and not well seasoned. Simply boiled with some bland sauce is no longer up to date. Vegetarians can also find a dish on the memory card. The service is very good. Prices have recently been increased but are still within reasonable limits. Unfortunately, the rooms are very noisy, which means you often have to unintentionally listen to the conversations of the other tables.

Nice atmosphere, very friendly and attentive staff. Unfortunately the food couldn't quite keep up. The rump steak tasted completely burnt and the pepper sauce was very bitter. Unfortunately it's just below average... it's a shame. But I'm giving Rustika another chance because the staff was so nice.

A very nice ambience, especially in summer, lovingly designed. Fits. Toilet very clean. We had beef fillet with fried potatoes and liver as a dish. Both extremely good, the price is reasonable. Overall, a very good, not too large menu, so there is something for everyone. Service is also top, paying is quick. Additional costs are OK, 2 people, €28 each with this quality there is nothing to complain about. I'll definitely take the 30 minute drive again.
