We ate there tonight for my husband and daughter's birthday. Both the food and the service were excellent. Very friendly, attentive, and helpful staff. We will definitely be back. 😀

We ate there yesterday and were absolutely thrilled. The food was of the highest quality, the selection left nothing to be desired. The friendliness of the staff was second to none. The speed with which the food and drinks arrived was also perfect. Most importantly, it was the best meal we've had in a restaurant this year. Without exception, everything was prepared to perfection and tasted outstanding. We also particularly liked the drinks selection. There were not only Spanish wines, but also, for example, an extremely good German Pinot Gris. At the end, the staff member was kind enough to bring us the bottle of Pinot Gris so we could take a photo of it and order the wine online for home. The greeting and farewell were also very warm. We truly felt like welcome guests there and can highly recommend the restaurant.

Guys, I'll keep this short: The other steakhouses in Leverkusen can pack up! You'll have to spend €3 more, but it's totally worth it! Enjoy your check-up!

A very nice restaurant with very friendly and attentive service! There's a good selection of food and drinks here, everything is deliciously prepared, and customizations are no problem. Everything is clean and wheelchair accessible. Reservations are recommended, as it's (understandably) quite busy even on weekdays.

I discovered this steakhouse two years ago and have been there at least once a week since then. It's not just the quality of the food, which is a class above all the others in the area, but also the owner, his wife, and their two sons who ensure a great evening!

The restaurant is very tastefully decorated inside and out. Very modern and authentic. The service was excellent. Very friendly and accommodating. The menu is extensive and offers plenty of variety. The food was outstanding. The steak costs a euro more here, but it's definitely worth it. Unfortunately, Castro Carne is quite easy to miss from the outside. So keep your eyes open.

We only ate tapas. The taste was good/ok but it didn't justify the price. Unfortunately some of it was fried to death (pulpo) which made it like rubber. Very nice service and nice ambience

The hosts are extremely friendly and accommodating. The food was good, especially of course recommended, any kind of steak and meat dishes. We ate and drank well and ended up with 75 euros per person. I found the price a bit hefty, like the steaks there. But if you bring the necessary change, you can spend a lovely evening here.

Ambiance is quite cozy, but not quite my thing. the rest is an A+ with an asterisk. The food was great, really world class. And I don't even need to start with the employees, every 2-3 minutes someone came and asked if everything was okay or if they needed anything else. Every single one was extremely nice, I would like to give the service even more stars… all in all a great shop!

Came to this restaurant by absolute chance. We were warmly welcomed at the entrance. The occupancy meant we got a large table. Friendly waitresses who kept asking attentively if there was anything they could do. Absolutely top! The map is extensive and absolutely authentic. As an expert on Spain, I can say that everything that is traditionally found in Spain can be found here. That's exactly how a restaurant should be. The dishes we ordered were authentic and very tasty. If there was too much food, the rest is packed up. An evening vacation on the Mediterranean! Highly recommended!

Great atmosphere, all staff super friendly. No endless waiting for drinks and a large selection. However, the star deduction is for the following reasons. Not so bad for some, but I welcome some individuality here. Each steak is already sprinkled with salt and pepper - unfortunately this doesn't suit everyone's taste and can quickly "ruin" the meal - I would also prefer better quality salt. There was also a dollop of salsa on every plate, which could easily be left out and declared as an addition somewhere. The meat itself was on point - not everyone can do that and I really have to praise it. Nevertheless, the experience would have been better if the above points had not occurred.

We met part of the family (13 people) here and were all very satisfied. Everything between meat, fish and vegetarian dishes was ordered and everyone really enjoyed their food! Everyone was very happy with the friendly staff and the cozy atmosphere! Prices for each meal were also right! We will definitely come here again!

What a wonderful evening it was!!! The food was incredibly tasty (grilled salmon with crab sauce, fresh vegetables), the glasses of sangria were one better than the next - and I've already tried many different sangrias. With liqueurs and all the trimmings, in the end it was a bill that the evening was absolutely more than worth. I'll be back and I'm already looking forward to it. Thank you very, very much for this wonderful, enjoyable evening with my dear friend.

We had a very tasty meal and were served in a friendly and professional manner. Unfortunately, this is no longer always the case elsewhere. The only downside was that it was very cold in the restaurant, at least in the porch where our table was, especially on the floor. The heating in the form of a few heat radiators on the ceiling is simply unsuitable.

Have been there several times and are always thrilled with the dishes that are served there. Delicious from the starter to the dessert.

From today on we have a new favorite Spaniard. We're there for the first time today. Very friendly staff and boss. The food was wonderful and of very good quality. The restaurant is comfortably furnished and the acoustics are great. You can have a good time even though it was well attended. The reason for this is that sound absorbers are installed. Recommended Spanish restaurant! The food is of good quality and tastes very tasty. You can really let off steam on the menu - from tapas to meat and fish dishes. As is often the case, the dishes are 1-2 euros too expensive across the board; But it's worth it and the price seems to correspond to the "normal rate". The service is great and extremely attentive. You sit comfortably. Only the location, which is quite dark, is a bit critical.

There are restaurants that, in addition to their food, offer and "serve" a very special character and thus ambience - Castro Carne is one such restaurant. We were there last night and I was actually prepared for a meal, a beer and maybe a dessert - i.e. order, eat and go home to the sofa... well things went differently... We were greeted very friendly by the staff and brought to our table. After the first beer and wine, the food was ordered. Bread with aioli and olives was served as an "accompaniment" - extremely delicious, crispy bread. The food was fantastic and of extremely good quality. What surprised me personally at the beginning were the pictures on the walls (restaurant & washrooms) that show film & entertainment greats from "bygone days" - but I like that sort of thing. Ultimately, I think I understand why these pictures are hanging there... Greats like Al Pacino, Ornella Mutti or Sophia Loren as well as Sean Connery embody decency, etiquette and so on - all of this was reflected in the staff at all times... The evening ended up being longer than planned and I enjoyed every minute there. The restaurant has a good price/performance ratio, and if you want a friendly, attentive and completely professional staff as well as fantastic food in a great atmosphere, you should visit Castro Carne.

The taste of the food is 8.6/10, the atmosphere is pleasant, and it's completely okay for the price. Service a 9.2/10. We'd love to come back and test again :)

All in all we had a perfect evening at Castro Carne. The combination of excellent food, first class service and a beautiful ambience makes this restaurant a real gem. Today I tested the Tomahawk Steak. What can I say, it was the best steak I've ever eaten. Instead of the stated 1000 gr. it had 1400 gr., which suited me very well 😁. But unfortunately I managed it myself and could have feasted even further. So tender, grilled to perfection medium and the roasted flavors were perfectly brought to their peak. I will definitely order this again and can only recommend it to everyone 😋😋😋

Too many frozen products for my taste!

Leider war das Wetter schlecht, so daß wir drinnen sitzen mußten. Das Ambiente ist etwas rustikal. Der Service ist sehr freundlich, aufmerksam und schnell. Das Essen war sehr gut (wir haben beide Polpo mit Spinat gegessen) - meinem Begleiter war es etwas zu wenig, für mich war es ok. Insgesamt war es ein angenehmer Abend und wir werden sicherlich mal wiederkommen.

A very cozy location. The food was of the best quality, very tasty and reasonably priced. Very friendly and attentive staff, we would be happy to come back. The journey was worth it. Unfortunately there are no on-site parking spaces. For now you can still sit on the outside terrace but a renovation is underway.

We (6 people) ate at Castro Carne for the first time on Good Friday and were completely thrilled. First of all, I got a table at relatively short notice (4 days) and was able to change this reservation a day later. We were greeted very friendly by the boss and the employees, shown to the table and even jackets were brought to the cloakroom for us. Well, we got the menu and were only asked 5 minutes later what we would like to drink (usually the question always comes up: “Do you already know what you want to drink?”). Since I already have some experience at steak restaurants, I went really excited. The menu simply amazed us, it all sounded very tasty but we were skeptical about whether we would really be full. We chose a large starter platter and various main courses, as well as a large platter with various desserts. The food came very promptly and we were all completely thrilled, all we could hear was hmming and ohhhing at the table and how delicious it was. Unfortunately we didn't manage to do everything and the leftovers were packed up for us without any questions. Conclusion: Ambiance, service, food all 5 ⭐️ plus. Thank you very much for this lovely evening, we would love to come back.

We ate here with the family several times and found out that the owner had changed. That was extremely good for the restaurant. We were served very friendly and very attentively. My wife had the fillet on a skewer. 380g. Incredibly tasty and tender. These people know their stuff. Price-wise it was ok. The meat was worth every penny. We will be back. Next time we'll also try out the lavish fish selection or surf and turf. The meat was mega. Many thanks to the Castro Carne team. And thanks to the boss for the nightcap. Six of us ate at the Castro Carne restaurant. The salmon fillet was very delicate and delicious. The medium rump steak was still slightly bloody, but not raw. For dessert there was vanilla ice cream with a delicious chocolate sauce. The ambience The staff was also extremely friendly and helpful. So overall everything was perfect.

Ein Spanier in Leverkusen der klasse Tapas hat und auch ne gute Steaks was will man mehr eigentlich nichts. Dazu freundlich Personal was schnell die Dinge liefert. Vorab Oliven und Aioli vom Haus. Mir persönlich hat der Schinken mit am besten gefallen wobei die Tapas besonders der Ziegenkäse einfach fabelhaft ist dazu danach das Rinderfilet.

Sehr leckeres Essen und nettes, aufmerksames Servicepersonal. Wir wurden freundlich begrüßt. Die Online-Reservierung am Abend zuvor hat bestens funktioniert. Lediglich die Stühle und Tische haben uns von der Bequemlichkeit nicht so zugesagt. Wir hatten einen Tisch in der Mitte und dort gibt es ein festes Tischbein, bei dem man die Beine nicht ausstrecken konnte. Hat dem tollen Essen und einem schönen Abend aber nicht geschadet ;-) Wir kommen gerne wieder.
