The service and food were good, and everything tasted good. We'll be back next time we visit.

Honest food with good service, and the price is completely reasonable. I had schnitzel with fries and a beer. Afterwards, I was full and happy because it was simply delicious.

We had Schäuferla and Bohnakern. Unfortunately, it was obvious that nothing was homemade here, nor was anyone familiar with Franconian cuisine. The dumplings were ready-made dough. Not homemade. Sauce from a package. The sauce with the Bohnakern was completely unsuitable. Sweet and tasted of orange. When I pointed this out to the waiter, he responded with, "I don't know what that's supposed to taste like." The Schäuferla and the dumplings with sauce were generally good – even if they were just mixed together – but you can get better and cheaper elsewhere. The service was excellent. The drinks arrived quickly. Requests were accommodated.

Soup is rich, on the salty side if you don't like too much salt. Well roasted meat, crispy on the outside soft on the inside. Would definitely come here again. Das Schmeckt Gut!

According to the website, hot food is served all day. Unfortunately, this isn't true. The website is therefore not up to date. We couldn't eat there.

Das Stadtlokal war mal richtig gut,aber seid Betreiberwechsel ein einziges Desater,Hatten eine Familienfeier es war nichts vorbereitet auf den Kaffee und Getränke musste man ewig warten..dann der Knaller Dreckige Kaffetassen jeder hat sich geekelt und als Krönung gab es seid über 4 Wochen abgelaufene Kaffemilch!!! Nach Beschwerden wurde dann andere gebracht keine entschuldigung Nichts ! Wir mussten Trotzdem den vollen Preis Saalmiete bezahlen..ich möchte dann erst gar nicht wissen wie es in der Küche zugeht einfach nur eklich,waren das erste und letzte mal da ...Also unser Fazit Finger weg von dem Lokal Nicht zu empfehlen.

Portions are super small, like for kids. Service is like 2 working days. So be patient. Taste of the food is good. Place is in the city center, very well located. Beers are okay.

Waren sehr kurzfristig mit 12 Leuten eingekehrt. Überhaupt kein Problem, Speisen wurden zügig serviert und waren sehr lecker.

We were there for lunch. Very nice waiter and good service. The drinks came within less than 2 minutes and the food was freshly prepared. We both ate Schäufela with dumplings. It was really very good and the portions were generous! Price-performance is great here

Wir waren hier mit Freunden und fanden die Atmosphäre einem urigen Lokal angemessen. Es ist klein, etwas eng, etwas laut, typische Wirzshausküche, schon traditionell. Die Preise fanden wir ok. Hier ist fehl am Platz, wer Hochküche erwartet, trotzdem hätten wir uns vegetarische Alternativen zu den Käsespätzle gewünscht und der Service hätte das eine oder andere Getränk bei mehr Aufmerksamkeit mehr verkauft.

The restaurant has a traditional and rustic design. The service was very friendly and accommodating. The food is really delicious. I had a chicken salad. The portion and preparation of the salad are good. The prices for the food are fair.

Ate trout and bean seeds yesterday. Neither is Franconian and not recommended.

The telephone order to pick up food went great. The food was ready on time and very warm - it was still warm even after 10 minutes of transporting it home. The taste of the dishes we ordered was very good.

Never again! We had made reservations for a Christmas party. When we arrived, our chairperson was informed that there were only 24 seats available instead of the 30 reserved. We should just slide together a little. A contemplative Christmas party was not possible. During the prologue of the Christmas angel, an employee stacked cups extremely loudly. In addition, the music volume was only reduced upon request. In addition, the noise level from the other guests was so high that the speakers could not be heard. We had to end the celebration early after a little over 2 hours. The prices are also sometimes completely exorbitant.

I was excited to visit the restaurant. And it was one of the only restaurants opened near the hotel that I was going to be staying at that evening. I knew I would be a little bit late, but I’d called ahead of time to ask him how long the kitchen open today my plan was to order something and pick it up. A woman and told me that the kitchen 9 PM. I informed Apple to order something before they closed and then to come pick it up as a to go order. She said that would be fine and not the problem. I started getting closer to 9pm, I want to place my order please probably about 25 minutes before the kitchen would have been officially closed. The woman answered the telephone. Kitchen had already closed, though she had stated quite clearly that they would close at 9. This left me without any options for ordering food at night in Forchheim. Terrible experience and cannot recommend at all! Their excuse was that they weren’t that busy… so thanks for lying lady. Will never be ordering at your restaurant.

Were there with a larger group. Most people didn't get up really full, but it tasted good. The next room didn't have the nicest atmosphere, but the waitresses were very friendly and quick.

It was very interesting, everything was done at the highest level. Interesting recipes and a very good presentation of the dishes. A very nicely decorated inn. The staff is friendly and attentive. We had Bean Crane (very tasty) and Grillplatte (salad and vegetables were good, the meat was clearly overcooked). In addition, no dish has small portions. However, if you look at the beans, you can see that it would definitely work.

Overall, it was a good experience. Only one of the dishes was a bit too salty, but I'm starting to think that it's common for dishes to be salty in German restaurants. 😅 Good to mention that they didn't have small portions for children.

I ordered a schnitzel with chanterelles for €21 and got food poisoning. Hopefully the waiters were amateurs, otherwise I can't explain how this work rate and performance came about. They always tried hard, but it definitely wasn't good.

Actually great but my sauce was a bit very salty, even though I like salty it was too much. Schnitzel tastes good but reminds a bit of chewing gum. The rest was very tasty.

Very nice Lokas to sit outside. It's better to just order something to drink, unfortunately the food was really bad. The fried pancakes were almost inedible, the fat must have been old. Otherwise there were also some finished products on the plate. Everything in the restaurant smelled terrible of grease. It's a shame, the place is in a great location and nice but the rest is a no go.

While searching for a restaurant with typical Franconian cuisine via Google, we came across the city restaurant... what can I say, very attentive and friendly service, very nice ambience and, last but not least, tasty and typically Franconian food. Absolutely nothing to complain about

We passed by here by chance and the traditional Franconian lunch menu caught us. A shady place at 32° on the edge of the FuZo, you could sit for about forever. The food was very tasty and came pretty quickly with beer from the city, you can't present your homeland better. The service, a young guy, always courteous and careful - that's how gastronomy works 👍🏻 Can only be recommended!

Wasn't there for a long time. Now probably firmly in Indian hands. The asparagus soup was incredibly sweet. A complaint was made, but with the same result. The Schäuferla was mediocre. Only one beer on tap. The others were poured from the bottle into the glass. Overall communication was a bit awkward due to language deficits. There are a striking number of Indian restaurants throughout the city. What's going on there?

Ob Suppen oder die formidablen Schnitzel mit wunderbar krosser Panade. Ob der hausgemachte Kartoffelsalat oder der Beilagensalat, alles knackig frisch und selbst für fränkische Verhältnisse riesig. Sehr aufmerksamer, freundlicher Servie. Traditionelles Ambiente. Wir sind regeplatzt hatten einen schöne Ecktisch und ein perfektes traditionelles Essen. Gutes Essen und immer ein freundliches Lächeln, besser geht's nicht. Ach ja, die Preise sind eher im unteren BEreich.

The homepage looks promising and inviting. The rustic ambience on site also invites you to linger. The service was friendly and attentive. Unfortunately the food was catastrophic. The asparagus cream soup tasted like semolina porridge, which is far too sweet. The Schäuferle lacked any typical taste, including visually. The cordon bleu with hunter's sauce could have easily passed for carp visually. Here too there was no trace of a typical Cordon Bleu taste. The only thing that really tasted good were the fries and the side salad. The three of us paid €90. At €20 the meal would have been well paid for. Given the very ambitious pricing of the city restaurant, the quality simply has to be better!

Local was taken over by Indians. Make the best Schäufele in Forchheim. Was very surprised. Always visit again

The ambience of the city pub in the, I would say, “main” restaurant is worth seeing. Lots of great and worth reading sayings on the benches. The service, two young men, did a great job. Only when it came to the food (I had Schäufele, Schäuferle, Schäuferla, Schäufala, depending on how it was spelled) my ideas were a little different. I've had this several times with a really nice "bubbly" crust. There was also a good, tasty beer. All in all - good.

The restaurant is rustically furnished and very cozy. A reservation was made for us even though we only called half an hour in advance. There is also the option to reserve online (I would definitely recommend). The service is very nice. There is a selection of different “tavern dishes”. We were there twice on vacation and we enjoyed it very much. Would go back at any time. :)

The food here is extremely delicious and the hospitality is the best in Bavaria. The restaurant is more than 100 years old and the tradition still continues with the delicious food and hospitality. 100% recommended for everyone!

Ich bin aufgrund der guten Bewertungen hier essen gegangen und habe leider nur auf die Punkte geschaut. Wenn es möglich wäre, hätte ich 0 Punkte gegeben. Das Essen war innerhalb von 5 min auf dem Tisch. Der Kartoffelsalat aus dem Eimer - vom Geschmack her von Homann (schön süß), das Cordon Bleu aus der Tiefkühle. Leider nichts hausgemacht und trotzdem werden fast 17€ aufgerufen. Echt schade.

Nice restaurant, schnitzel and Schäuferla are ok, I had an onion roast for 19.90 which wasn't good. The service is hard, I got the wrong beer twice, the full salt bowl is cleared away and the empty one remains...

We had a Schäufele with red cabbage. The meat was lean, juicy and tender. Delicious! The crust was outstanding. Rarely have I eaten such good meat. The sauce was perfectly seasoned. The portion was large and worth every penny. The service was also very friendly, courteous and quick. Top restaurant that we are happy to recommend.
