Sportheim in Berching

We were passing through and happened to end up in the old town beer garden for the wine festival. We were ❤️welcomed and despite registering in advance we still got a place. The live band was simply great, as was the food we ordered. Homemade and delicious. We couldn't resist buying the band a schnapps and there was a quick song of thanks at our table. Many thanks to the couple and the friendly service staff for a successful evening.

This hotel has very nice, newly furnished rooms. Everything was top-notch. However, there's no elevator, which wasn't a problem for us. The food is very good. One drawback was that there's no way to darken the room because the bathroom window can't be darkened and the bathroom door is made of glass. The reception and restaurant opening hours aren't ideal.

We were there about half an hour before the reserved time, all tables were occupied but the service took care of it immediately, a table that was ready was immediately cleared and we were able to sit down. Food and drinks are Bavarian home cooking but very tasty and LARGE portions. The bad reviews here are not appropriate. Oh yes... and the “Schlemmerblock” accepted. 😎
