I've been getting recommendations to visit this restaurant for years. My friend wanted to celebrate her 50th birthday there in a small group of 6 people. Full of joy that I can finally enjoy the recommendations... I had the worst experience I have ever had in the catering industry there. We had a table that was against a rustic wall with an oversized door. Great atmosphere, I thought. The waitress was initially stressed, unfriendly and impatient. I didn't let that put me off. Everyone has a bad day sometimes. When the food came and I was just tasting it, a waitress from outside ripped open the door and left it open. Seen like this, I was sitting on the threshold in the middle of the open door. Apart from the fact that I suddenly had an incredible number of other guests breathing down my neck because this was the entrance to the beer garden, this draft immediately cooled down the food. It was so uncomfortable for me and my girlfriend to sit on that train. I deliberately chose the side of the wall because I feel uncomfortable with so much happening behind me and my dog ​​was lying next to me and didn't bother anyone. I thought that couldn't be serious, the disaster was that I had eaten half of my already cold food and was then asked that my dog ​​had to leave because the conditions now meant that this door had to be used for business in the beer garden. So as a guest I had to sit somewhere else with my food, but there was no other free or unreserved table. I then sat down at the very corner and continued eating on the edge at another table. Because even without the dog, the passage would have been so narrow that the conditions would have been just a few centimeters past me the entire time. I sat exactly where you had to sit, so I didn't sit at the front. To disturb a table in the middle of a meal and a guest so I have to take my plate and continue eating somewhere else... in my opinion it couldn't be worse. We would also have liked to have dessert, coffee and wanted to be together comfortably. We were all very stressed and disappointed and, apart from the whole catastrophe, we didn't have the feeling that anyone was trying to make us stay and feel good. My girlfriend paid and the gentleman who came, I tried to talk to him. Because finally the birthday dinner and the mood was so messed up that when he asked if everything was okay, I said no. I described the whole experience to him. He just looked somewhere else, he was already telling me that it was stupid, but more like this condition wasn't going to be long anyway, and it wasn't coming either. The incident happened a month ago. I thought about giving such a bad review here for a long time, and now I've decided to do so. Please move THIS table somewhere else so that no other guest has to experience this.

The food and selection is very good and plentiful, be sure to reserve otherwise 90% of the time you will be turned away because it is full. Service is a bit distant, you have to deal with it. It doesn't bother me. The ambience needs to be dusted off a bit, otherwise I have no complaints

I used to be really excited. Unfortunately the last visit was very disappointing. The service has deteriorated considerably. We didn't get a high chair for my son or children's cutlery. Not even on request. Unfortunately, the food was also very poor. It was okay, nothing more. One of the service people was in such a bad mood and was walking around grumpy. It's a shame, it used to be a great restaurant.

Actually, yes actually, we wanted to do a circular tour that starts at the Kappis sports field. But the more than delicious smell and the great menu... We had the Caesar plate (26) and the Sorba fillet (82). Mega tasty, perfectly seasoned and a large portion. Brilliant. (see pictures) Very attentive and extremely nice team. RECOMMENDATION. ABSOLUTELY. Lovely again!

Delicious food and a great terrace.

Today I was there for the first time with my partner. We were warmly welcomed by the staff and were lucky that there was a place available for us despite high demand. The service was first class and really quick. The food was delivered quickly and is highly recommended. I have rarely found such a good Greek place to eat. I can only warmly recommend a visit here. I'll come over for dinner more often if I have the chance!

Top service, very good food, quiet location. Staff very friendly, requests for changes to food orders are implemented without any problems. You are always treated courteously. At peak meal time you can't do it without a reservation. Of course there's also the obligatory ouzo on the house afterwards. Great beer garden in summer. The whole thing can only be recommended. Since March 2022, the beer garden has been covered with a slatted pergola and can be closed when it rains, making it possible to stay even when the weather is not great. The price has now gone up a bit, but is still cheaper than some other restaurants in the area.

For us the best Greek restaurant in the area! The starter “Saganaki” is especially excellent. Very friendly waitresses and a nice rooster that runs freely through the restaurant. We really enjoy coming here.

Super nice location The Kappishäuser “Zum Hahn” restaurant is located in a quiet, idyllic setting. The building itself is welcoming and cozy, with a lovely beer garden under chestnut trees. The rooster The free-roaming rooster “Vasily” is a real attraction in the restaurant. He is tame and friendly and enjoys being petted by guests. It is an experience for children to watch and play with the rooster. Best Greek food The menu offers a wide range of Greek dishes, all freshly prepared with attention to detail. The souvlaki, the gyros and the various grilled meat dishes are particularly recommended. Super lovely staff The staff is very friendly and attentive. They take time for the guests and are happy to answer any questions. Just visit again All in all, the Kappishäuser “Zum Hahn” restaurant is a great restaurant that I can recommend to anyone who enjoys good Greek food and a cozy atmosphere. Nice restaurant with rustic decor! Large selection of different Greek dishes. There is also an alternative for vegetarians. The portions are very extensive. The staff is super accommodating. One of the highlights were the two desserts.

Hello folks... So... the food is absolutely great Fresh, juicy and endlessly delicious. But.....the service terror is indescribably terrible. It's okay to come to the table and ask for what's right, but what's too much is just too much. I constantly had the hairs on the back of my neck standing up because I didn't feel well. Sorry, but that's my opinion.

Leute, volle Punktzahl! Wir waren mega begeistert vom Gyros genauso wie vom Delphi-Teller und dem dazugehörigen Salat. Auch alles andere, was aus der Küche an die Tische getragen wurde, war ein optischer Burner. Unbedingt vorher reservieren.

Toll eingerichtet und das essen war sehr gut. Gyros zart und gut gekürzt. Kann ich nur empfehlen.

Beim betreten des Lokales riecht es sehr stark nach Rauch, was daran liegt , dass das Personal im Eingangsbereich raucht, was nicht wirklich einladend wirkt, das Lokal ist sehr rustikal und für ein griechisches Lokal sehr unpassend dekoriert, darüber hinhaus ist diese Deko sehr verstaubt. Im Gastraum läuft ein Hahn, dieses arme Tier hat nichts in einem Gastraum zu suchen. Es gibt in den Sanitärräumen keinen Wickeltisch und auch keine Speisekarte mit Kindergerichten, Kinderfreundlich ist anders. Zu der Qualität des Essens, muss man sagen , dass es nicht sonderlich gut war, essen teils verkocht und extrem fad , der Reis erinnert an einen Expressreis aus der Mikrowelle, dass einzige was geschmeckt hat, war der Orangenkuchen mit Vanilieeis, was lobenswert hervorgehoben werden muss, die Getränke waren gut und die Mitarbeiterinnen freundlich und auf zack, der Mann mit den langen grauen Haaren vermutlich der Chef ist leider nicht sehr freundlich. Ich werde diesem Lokal keinen weiteren Besuch abstatten .

Wir waren heute dort. Das Lokal ist in die Jahre gekommen, die Dekoration mit den ausgestopften Tieren die mit eine dicken Staubschicht überzogen ist sehr rustikal. Das Gyros war gut, die Pommes total trocken und viel zu lange frittiert. Einer unsere Gruppe hatte den vegetarischen Teller, die Aubergienen aus dem Backofen waren ein undefinierbares Mus. Irritiert waren wir auch über eine Mandarine die auf dem Teller des Rumpsteak lag. Der dazugehörige Reis hat geschmeckt wie ein fertiger Tütenreis, ebenso lagen doch tatsächlich 2 Wildekartoffeln auf dem Teller. Was uns extrem negativ aufgefallen ist war der im Gastraum rumlaufende Hahn, der Federn und Exkramente im Lokal verloren hat. Das empfand ich als störend und sehr unhygienisch. Im Eingangsbereich stinkt es extrem nach Rauch. Der Chef der Herr mit den langen Haare ist sehr unfreundlich. Der andere mit den tatowiert Armen ist noch unfreundlich und arogant. Ich werde auf keinen Fall wieder kommen.

In unserem Umkreis von 65 km kein so gutes griechisches Restaurant gefunden. Essen sehr lecker, Personal sehr nett und aufmerksam. Ein Hahn im Restaurant sieht man auch nicht überall. Einzigste Anmerkung: Bietet sich auch Mal ein Stifado an, das ist so extrem lecker.

Einfach nur hervorragend!!!kann ich warmes Herzens empfehlen. Das ganze Team ist super freundlich,man fühlt sich sehr wohl.Essen ist mehr als perfekt:) allerdings auch Mal unter der Woche ist empfehlenswert im Voraus einen Tisch zu reservieren:) Lieblingsgrieche

Lecker Essen zu vor kommendes Personal

Super leckeres Essen, Bedienung fast schon zu aufmerksam. Aber gut. Es läuft ein Huhn durchs Lokal, stört nicht, nur als Tip falls man mit Hund hin möchte. Alles in allem komme ich gerne wieder

Als alleinige Person wurde ich mit den Worten begrüßt, dass das Lokal ausgebucht wäre und ich nur ja ca. 45 Minuten Zeit hätte. Nun ja, mehr hätte ich auch nicht gebraucht, denn nach 10 Minuten stand meine Bestellung schon vor mir. Das Essen war ganz okay, warm und reichlich. Die Dekoration und das ganze Haus sind etwas gediegen. Ebenso wie der Hahn der im Lokal herumläuft.

Essen war gut, war aber schon besser. Hat leider etwas nachgelassen. Portionen waren sehr reichlich, Preise waren in Ordnung. Das Brot zum Salat war leider nicht frisch. Salatsoße hat stark nach Conviniece geschmeckt. Saganaki war vermutlich auch Fertigprodukt. War früher hausgemacht. Service ist ausbaufähig. Es gab keine feste Servicekraft für unseren Tisch. Personal ist aber sehr nett. Der Biergarten war neu gemacht, sehr schön.
