I can't understand the good reviews here. The sauce was generic and the taste was standard for cafeteria food—very good, but not worth the price. But the worst part was the service. Rude, unfriendly, and insolent. I'll never go there again.

You can't eat from a pretty plate! Too expensive, not really handmade, and the sauce is generic. It used to be so much better a long time ago. Fat is a flavor carrier, sure, but it's not the flavor itself. You've really gone downhill. Schnitzel days for €19?? I remember them being under €10, and that wasn't even 10 years ago. Are you trying to rip us off?

We ate at Haus Mersmann on a Friday evening. It was very crowded, and there was also a private party in another room. The service was very friendly, but the wait times were abysmal. They apologized several times for the long wait, always blaming it on the private party. We waited a full two hours for our food, which is simply unacceptable. They could have at least warned us about it at the beginning. However, the food itself was truly excellent! I would come back again because of the friendly service and the delicious food, and I hope the wait times aren't so long next time and that this was just an exception. If so, I would give it five stars!

The food was delicious. Unfortunately, the side room isn't quite as cozy as the main dining room. Unfortunately, we didn't have a reservation; probably all the other tables were taken. The service was great, nice, and friendly. I'll be back 🙂

After my initial disappointment (during the pandemic) and my previous comments here, I have to revise my opinion. The issues I raised, such as the cleanliness of the dining area, the long wait, and the fact that the meat was cold and overcooked on two occasions, are no longer present. Apparently, it was just a temporary setback due to the pandemic. We were very satisfied last time. Delicious, hot, and clean. Things have definitely improved, and that deserves a star rating.

We always enjoy eating at Mersmann. Anyone who likes home-style cooking is in good hands there. The ambience is not to my taste, very rustic, country inn. Only a few vegetarian dishes, but available. The service is great, the employees are very friendly and the parking lot is right next door.

The best German home cooking, also for vegetarians, in a rustic atmosphere. It's been decades since I've seen a 10 DMark note in a frame on the wall. Very attentive and super nice service, delicious food with a wide selection. Always my pleasure.

We happened to be here because our regular restaurant no longer had room for us. Beautifully located in nature with a view of fields. Very rural. Parking spaces right next to the building. The rear guest room is very modern, friendly and inviting. The menu mainly includes meat dishes with schnitzel, fillet and sirloin in various variations. Prices are mostly around €20 and up. I had a breaded schnitzel with hollandaise, camembert and cranberries gratinated in a cast iron pan. Plus fried potatoes and salad from the buffet. The composition was very tasty and the food stayed warm for a long time thanks to the pan. The service was nice and it was very comfortable to sit there. I can definitely recommend it.

The above description is correct as far as the inferiority of the food is concerned. Only the shutters were very salty. There were also frozen vegetables and not fresh vegetables. When I checked the bill I realized that I had paid €3 more per meal for 18 people. I then sought a clarification discussion with you. Her reasoning was as Julia described. However, they (owner) asked me in the clarification meeting to leave and go to another restaurant in the future. (Since I had already paid)! You can't expect a good rating after all and that doesn't solve any conflicts. Unfortunately I didn't have anything in writing, otherwise I would have sued them. But for just over €50, going to the lawyer is too strenuous for me. But they must have a great need for it. Best regards

I would like to share our extremely disappointing experience at Restaurant Mersmann. We originally registered a group of around 20 people. Three people canceled several days in advance, which we immediately communicated to the restaurant. A fixed price was also agreed days in advance. However, on the day of settlement, the owner demanded significantly more money than originally agreed. When asked, he explained that he had to recalculate the price because the groceries had already been purchased before the cancellation. However, it should be noted that the buffet consisted entirely of low-quality food - croquettes, frozen vegetables and similar fare that you would not expect from a restaurant of this type. In addition, the staff was extremely unfriendly and unwilling to reach an agreement. I strongly advise against celebrations in the premises of this restaurant. There was no music playing, so we were forced to bring our own jukebox. There was also an unbearable smell of gas. The food took an unusually long time to arrive, and the drinks, such as apple spritzer, were obviously diluted with water and therefore not original. The difference between vegetarian and vegan food was also not known, which is unthinkable in gastronomy in 2024. All in all, our visit to the Mersmann restaurant was a big disappointment and is absolutely not recommended.

Wir waren schon sehr oft bei Mersmann und waren mit dem Essen immer zufrieden, die Bedienung ist sehr freundlich und geht auf jeden Wunsch ein. Was auch sehr schön ist, für größere Wandergruppen kann man auch Mittags in der Woche Termine machen. Wir kommen wieder und freuen uns darauf.

Unser neues Stammlokal. Die Besitzer sind unglaublich freundlich und hilfsbereit. Man kann seinen Hund NICHT MEHR mitnehmen, es gibt eine Salatbar, ebenso wie einen Tresen und das Damen WC ist mit Pflegeprodukten voll ausgestattet. Das Ambiente ist angenehm und das Essen schmeckt immer. Man fühlt sich einfach willkommen und verbringt gerne einen schönen Abend dort👍.

Dienstags ist Schnitzeltag und es war sehr gut besucht. Kleines Salatbüffet ist vorhanden. Die Preise sind noch ok nur leider haben ja die meisten Restaurants die Weinpreise stark erhöht.

Das Essen war klasse, die Portionen mehr als ausreichend und die Bedienungen sehr aufmerksam und nett.

Wir waren heute mit den Mädels dort. Ein toller Abend mit leckerem Essen und gutem Service. Unsere Tochter (6 Jahre) war auch dabei. Es wurde direkt auf sie eingegangen. Da kommt man doch sehr gerne wieder.

Der Veggieburger ist leider (noch) nicht zu empfehlen. Das Patty erinnert sehr stark an den MC Donalds VegBurger. Wirklich sehr schade, wo doch solche Pattys leicht und einfach selber hergestellt werden können. Für einen Koch - ein Klacks.

Schnitzel waren etwas Zäh und eine Freundin hat ewig lang auf ihre Suppe gewartet und alle hatten ihr Essen schon Suppe zum Schluss

Das Lokal selbst könnte mal eine Modernisierung weg vom "bewährten" gutbürgerlichen Interieur vertragen. Die Parksituation ist etwas schwierig, da für das gut besuchte Lokal zu wenig Parkplätze vorhanden sind. Das spricht ja prinzipiell für die Küche. Die Küche selbst bietet solide Schnitzel - angenehm unpaniert - zu einem sehr guten Preis-Leistungsverhältnis. Bezogen auf das Segment insgesamt sehr gute Alltagsoption.
