Waren gesternabend zum Essen im Haus Mersmann und waren toll enttäuscht lange aufs Essen gewartet und wir sollten den Tisch um 19.30 verlassen weil der Tisch dann wieder vergeben wäre Sie haben aber die anderen Gäste an einen anderen Tisch gesetzt beim bezahlen sagte eine Bedienung zu uns wir hätten länger sitzen bleiben können es hat uns aber vorher keiner gesagt. Ob wir noch mal die Gaststätte besuchen seht in frage.

Einfach super,toller Service.Leckeres Essen. Alle Gerichte wurden zeitgleich und extrem heiß zum Tisch gebracht. Außergewöhnlich.

Ich war im Haus Meßmann essen und bin rundum begeistert. Das Essen war wirklich sehr lecker und qualitativ hochwertig. Die Preise sind absolut fair und nicht zu teuer für das, was man bekommt. Besonders angenehm fand ich die Atmosphäre – es ist nicht zu laut, sodass man sich entspannt unterhalten kann. Insgesamt herrscht dort eine perfekte, gemütliche Stimmung. Klare Empfehlung – ich komme gerne wieder!

Ich kann die guten Bewertungen hier nicht verstehen. Einheitssosse und Standardgeschmack für ein Kantinenessen sehr gut aber nicht für den Preis. Aber das schlimmste war die Bedienung. Frech, unfreundlich und unverschämt. Dorthin werde ich nie wieder gehen.

Nur vom schönen Teller kann man nicht essen! Zu teuer, nicht wirklich Handmade und einheitsSosse. War mal soooo was von besser vor ganz langer Zeit. Fett ist zwar ein Geschmacksträger ABBA nicht der Geschmack. Ihr habt stark nachgelassen. Schnitzeltage für 19 €?? Ich kenn sie noch für unter 10€ und das ist nicht 10 Jahre her. Wollt ihr uns v………en?

We ate at Haus Mersmann on a Friday evening. It was very crowded, and there was also a private party in another room. The service was very friendly, but the wait times were abysmal. They apologized several times for the long wait, always blaming it on the private party. We waited a full two hours for our food, which is simply unacceptable. They could have at least warned us about it at the beginning. However, the food itself was truly excellent! I would come back again because of the friendly service and the delicious food, and I hope the wait times aren't so long next time and that this was just an exception. If so, I would give it five stars!

It was constantly refilled. Definitely stop there!

The food was delicious. Unfortunately, the side room isn't quite as cozy as the main dining room. Unfortunately, we didn't have a reservation; probably all the other tables were taken. The service was great, nice, and friendly. I'll be back 🙂

After my initial disappointment (during the pandemic) and my previous comments here, I have to revise my opinion. The issues I raised, such as the cleanliness of the dining area, the long wait, and the fact that the meat was cold and overcooked on two occasions, are no longer present. Apparently, it was just a temporary setback due to the pandemic. We were very satisfied last time. Delicious, hot, and clean. Things have definitely improved, and that deserves a star rating.

Good food, friendly staff, and one of the few authentic German restaurants still around – something that's unfortunately rare these days. We always had good food and excellent service. You can put together your own salad at the salad bar.

The food was great and the atmosphere was incredibly friendly. Unfortunately, we had to wait two hours for our schnitzels. Still worth a visit.

Delicious. 👍👌😊 The restaurant is located a little outside of Unna, but is easy to reach. You can relax on the outdoor terrace. The restaurant itself is decorated in a country-style style. We recommend: Homemade schnitzel from the pan! The side dish is served separately in a small bowl, and you can choose your own salad from the buffet.

We rediscovered this traditional restaurant for ourselves. Runs there! Thanks to the relaxed, "familiar" nature of the team, the more typical village characteristics of the location and the rural location, you feel like you're reminded of beautiful, old (almost forgotten) restaurant times.

We always enjoy eating at Mersmann. Anyone who likes home-style cooking is in good hands there. The ambience is not to my taste, very rustic, country inn. Only a few vegetarian dishes, but available. The service is great, the employees are very friendly and the parking lot is right next door.

The best German home cooking, also for vegetarians, in a rustic atmosphere. It's been decades since I've seen a 10 DMark note in a frame on the wall. Very attentive and super nice service, delicious food with a wide selection. Always my pleasure.

We happened to be here because our regular restaurant no longer had room for us. Beautifully located in nature with a view of fields. Very rural. Parking spaces right next to the building. The rear guest room is very modern, friendly and inviting. The menu mainly includes meat dishes with schnitzel, fillet and sirloin in various variations. Prices are mostly around €20 and up. I had a breaded schnitzel with hollandaise, camembert and cranberries gratinated in a cast iron pan. Plus fried potatoes and salad from the buffet. The composition was very tasty and the food stayed warm for a long time thanks to the pan. The service was nice and it was very comfortable to sit there. I can definitely recommend it.

We were there with eight people. The restaurant is comfortably furnished in a country atmosphere. There are also sufficient parking spaces available. We were warmly welcomed and had a free choice of table. Now about the food: Everything that was ordered was great and simply delicious. Good value for money. The above description is correct as far as the inferiority of the food is concerned. Only the shutters were very salty. There were also frozen vegetables and not fresh vegetables. When I checked the bill I realized that I had paid €3 more per meal for 18 people. I then sought a clarification discussion with you. Her reasoning was as Julia described. However, they (owner) asked me in the clarification meeting to leave and go to another restaurant in the future. (Since I had already paid)! You can't expect a good rating after all and that doesn't solve any conflicts. Unfortunately I didn't have anything in writing, otherwise I would have sued them. But for just over €50, going to the lawyer is too strenuous for me. But they must have a great need for it. Best regards

I would like to share our extremely disappointing experience at Restaurant Mersmann. We originally registered a group of around 20 people. Three people canceled several days in advance, which we immediately communicated to the restaurant. A fixed price was also agreed days in advance. However, on the day of settlement, the owner demanded significantly more money than originally agreed. When asked, he explained that he had to recalculate the price because the groceries had already been purchased before the cancellation. However, it should be noted that the buffet consisted entirely of low-quality food - croquettes, frozen vegetables and similar fare that you would not expect from a restaurant of this type. In addition, the staff was extremely unfriendly and unwilling to reach an agreement. I strongly advise against celebrations in the premises of this restaurant. There was no music playing, so we were forced to bring our own jukebox. There was also an unbearable smell of gas. The food took an unusually long time to arrive, and the drinks, such as apple spritzer, were obviously diluted with water and therefore not original. The difference between vegetarian and vegan food was also not known, which is unthinkable in gastronomy in 2024. All in all, our visit to the Mersmann restaurant was a big disappointment and is absolutely not recommended.

Wir waren schon sehr oft bei Mersmann und waren mit dem Essen immer zufrieden, die Bedienung ist sehr freundlich und geht auf jeden Wunsch ein. Was auch sehr schön ist, für größere Wandergruppen kann man auch Mittags in der Woche Termine machen. Wir kommen wieder und freuen uns darauf.

Unser neues Stammlokal. Die Besitzer sind unglaublich freundlich und hilfsbereit. Man kann seinen Hund NICHT MEHR mitnehmen, es gibt eine Salatbar, ebenso wie einen Tresen und das Damen WC ist mit Pflegeprodukten voll ausgestattet. Das Ambiente ist angenehm und das Essen schmeckt immer. Man fühlt sich einfach willkommen und verbringt gerne einen schönen Abend dort👍.

Dienstags ist Schnitzeltag und es war sehr gut besucht. Kleines Salatbüffet ist vorhanden. Die Preise sind noch ok nur leider haben ja die meisten Restaurants die Weinpreise stark erhöht.

Das Essen war klasse, die Portionen mehr als ausreichend und die Bedienungen sehr aufmerksam und nett.

Wir waren heute mit den Mädels dort. Ein toller Abend mit leckerem Essen und gutem Service. Unsere Tochter (6 Jahre) war auch dabei. Es wurde direkt auf sie eingegangen. Da kommt man doch sehr gerne wieder.

Leckeres Essen aus einer vielseitigen Speisekarte. Gemütlich eingerichtet. Es gibt ein Salatbuffet. Der Raum mit der Kegelbahn hat den Style der 60er Jahre und riecht ein wenig nach Zigarettenqualm, die Bahn ist o.k. Die Mitarbeiter/ -innen sind sehr freundlich.
