Food ABSOLUTELY disgusting, I haven't had anything that bad in a long time. Burger completely dry with fatty meat as well as the chilli cheese fries. The cheese was completely hard and terrible. Not recommended at all!

Hygiene urgently needs to be checked: employee is outside with drinks and trash cans, and then puts the cucumbers on the burger with the same black gloves 3 minutes later. Of course, without washing your hands in between. Taste ok, but no power.

Crazy, but it was my first stop when revisiting Berlin from Chicago. I dream about the smashburgers here, especially the onion one. The best!! Get extra pickles. 😋😋😋

Never eat there, don't do that to yourself, burgers totally dry, super incompetent staff and extreme waiting times with moderate occupancy. I waited 30 minutes for 2 burgers. People who ordered after me finished their food before I had mine. After repeated requests, my burger still wasn't ready. Never here again.

Unfortunately no! Everything looks better than it is and at the first bite it becomes clear, good decoration but poor technique. Quality of the ingredients is also poor for the prices, I didn't want to finish my burger. Go to Goldies if you want divine smash burgers! (Sorry to the shop but it's clear that the place is only there to make money instead of good food or let alone an honest snack) ✌️

I ordered a fried onion chili burger. What I got was anything but chili burgers! A carelessly crumpled up thing. When I pointed out to the employee that the burger wasn't what I ordered, I was very rudely replied with "ONLY jalapenos are missing." Then my burger was brutally torn apart and missing jalapenos were thrown in without spreading them on the burger. Then crumpled it up again so that half of the meat fell out again during packaging. You can see it clearly in the photo. You also have to be able to salt! Burger was oversalted in places or completely missing salt. My colleague's entire burger was without salt. My colleague's cheese slices were simply stuffed in at the end without having the chance to melt. What if they were stuck between a bun and cold jalapenos with a slice of cucumber and not on the meat when grilled like a real smash burger. All in all, just an expensive failure! And so that those responsible are held accountable, my visit was on October 23rd, 2024 at around 6:30 p.m. You can easily see who was on shift.

I can't understand the positive reviews. Some flattened minced meat in a bun that was way too soft. The rest has the taste and consistency of liquid soap. The entry-level model is available for 6.50. Can you save...

If you like a completely overpriced, fat-dripping "lattice" of minced meat, with a little bun that's way too soft, a hint of cucumber, tomato and onions, this is the place for you. The biggest thing about the €6.50 mini burger was the paper it was wrapped in. Not recommended at all in terms of taste and price. I have no idea where all the very good reviews come from.

Small snack bar that makes very good burgers and also has (somewhat) reasonable prices, considering Berlin and the location on Wittenberg Platz. A very good place to have on hand and as a quick snack at lunch or evening. Will definitely come back again.

I spontaneously stopped by and ordered an Onion Smash Burger. It took a little longer for the burger to be ready. The burger had the typical crunch of a smash burger, was juicy and tasty. I'd love to come back for a quick snack

Not a place I would again, specially not as a tourist after our experience last night. We ordered 2 burgers and 2 fries, and the (Indian/pakistani) man reused some fries with our fresh fries. I made it very clear for him that I saw it; and that was not an honest act. But he didn’t care at all, and tried to tell me that’s normal. Anyways, he ended up using old fries with fresh fries, and I can only wonder how they potentially do the same with other leftovers or meats/ingredients. It killed our experience and the burger was not even as good as exercise

Order here online, but did not pay attention, so I order at the establisment at the other side of the city. The helped me either way without charging me extra and had my order ready in no time. Great service and good food!

Big city atmosphere and great food 🫶🏻 I was in Berlin for a few days and my hotel was within walking distance of this inconspicuous shop in the middle of the traffic island. I tried something one evening and then I ate there every day after the Dämpelhof concerts. When I'm in Berlin I will definitely come back here.

An amazing burger , somehow making a burger feel and taste like a clean meal while looking like everything you want!!! Patty's were juicy but not oily balanced well with the house sauce that was super tasty . Service was great and friendly can't wait to come back!!

My American compatriots, this is as good or better than smashburgers in the US. It used to hurt my heart to admit that other countries could do hamburgers as well as America, but I've accepted that they can. Great burger here. Decent fries. Food was ready super quickly (2 burgers + fries) and was also super tasty, even though it was quite busy! Actually a must if you're in Berlin :)

If you're in the mood for super good burgers, this is where you go. Always got my food quickly, no matter when I was there or when I ordered. The food was always great and completely filling. I always recommend it!

It’s “all right”. I mean, the buttermilk chicken sandwich is for sure the best thing on the menu. Their smash burger lacks the grease, which is one of the most important components of any authentic American smash burger. A good smash burger should have good beef & some fat, so the patty is juicy. The smash burger in this place is dry and they try to make up for it with ketchup, mustard, pickles & onions, but it doesn’t do the trick. The 90’s rap playlist is dope, though. I like the atmosphere. I just wish they put more emphasis on the quality of their smash burger since they claim to be one of the only authentic American joints in Berlin. Unfortunately, they are not. I say this as someone who has been enjoying smash burgers since I was a child. 3/5 at best!

Was there for the first time and was not disappointed. Classic SmashBurger with, in my opinion, a top Brioche Bun that fits perfectly. Ordering went really quickly, even though there was a lot going on. Only the ambience seems a bit shabby and old, but it doesn't matter at all in terms of taste

Chicken burger was good even though it was a little expensive compared to the portion, and probably for anyone that will order it, they should ask them to cook it more.

How can the burgers be so different? Thursday: Crispy, juicy, very well seasoned. People are full of praise. Good process. Short waiting time. Monday: dry old bun, unseasoned patty, bone dry, no sauce - almost disgusting. 30 minutes waiting time. “Forgot” half the order. Unfortunately that was nothing. Is it the chefs or the days of the week? Or both? There are WORLDS between July 11th, 2024 and July 15th, 2024. What are you doing?

Wow, that was nothing, now I wanted to try the highly praised burger and it was a failure. Staff unfriendly and not exactly motivated. Tables dirty even though there was nothing going on. The burger tasted like nothing and the burger bun was completely soggy. And that for 6.50 euros.

You need to work on your friendliness a bit. The lady in particular is extremely unfriendly and, when asked, slaps ketchup over the burger and her hand because I asked why there is no ketchup on the burger. Very solid and good. What sets a smashburger apart. Interesting that some others rate this very poorly...

If you want a smash burger while shopping (e.g. in KaDeWe next door), you can grab it here without hesitation. Why always go to celebrated stores with higher prices and longer waiting times? Here you can quickly eat a solid smash burger, nothing more and nothing less. You won't find a better one for the price nearby within walking distance. Otherwise update will follow.

Unfortunately it's totally gone. Chicken burger raw on the inside and burnt on the outside. They couldn't help me on the phone either. A pity! That was my last order.

Totally missed out and won't come back again. Overpriced for what you get! Then go to Goldies. Music is the only good thing.

I was there today with my boys and I have to say that my burger tasted very good. The burger had a typical Smasburger character with a delicious crust. The size of the burger was surprisingly generous for the price and I was definitely full too. I've gotten less for more money at other Smashburger stores. In summary, the burger was very tasty and worth recommending.

We ordered 4 burgers, all of which were raw and therefore inedible. When I told the worker, he brought new burgers that were much lighter and not well cooked, which I found to be very rude. I can't recommend this place to anyone, I'd rather go to Goldie's smash burgers Kurfürstendamm is only a 5-minute walk from this disgusting shop, so as I said, if you don't want to regret eating the most disgusting burger in the world, you'd better go to goldies instead of smash by Kapitalburger, this name especially attracts the capital because dirt, how can you possibly eat raw food Serve meat

Unfortunately, the burger was very greasy, difficult to grip, the meat had no taste, the patty wasn't crunchy, the cheese stuck everywhere in your mouth. The bread was delicious and the service was nice.

The chicken was unseasoned and didn't taste like anything. Brioche bun was limp. The only thing that gave the sandwich any flavor was the sauce and mainly the pickles. Staff is friendly

The hamburger was terrible, the bread was wet, the only decent thing was the rest of the meat, everything was very bad, the tomato sauce they put on it was like enough for 10 hamburgers, it was too much, and the cucumber 🥴 was more cucumber than coffee, it was very fast but I didn't like the quality, thank you

This is a small shop located near Kadewe Department Store. You can enjoy delicious burgers at a reasonable price.

Very disappointing! Buns are too big for a single patty, so you need to get 2 patties. Meat quality is really bad and had a very rancid aftertaste. They are using too much ketchup in their burger buns, you barley taste the meat. The gherkins had barley any flavour, you could have just added fresh cucumber. The only redeeming things about the pace are the buns and the speed.
