Sissi und Franz in Hannover

Burgers, cocktails, and a May evening – these two things go together perfectly here. We arrived around 7:30 p.m. and were able to sit outside in the beautiful weather. The food was delicious – everyone had a burger and a side. Sides cost extra, but there's a special offer: any burger plus a fixed surcharge, and you get a side and a cocktail included. We paid €45 for two people – a fair price for a restaurant visit. The service was very friendly and attentive. The only downside: it took about 20 minutes to take our order. Still, it was a pleasant evening with good food and a relaxed atmosphere.

The drinks and food were delivered quickly, but the dessert took quite a long time, so long that we wanted to ask for the bill.

Arrived and immediately the waiter felt rude and annoyed at our presence. He messed up the drink order and tried to blame us. 2 of our food dishes didn't arrive till 15-20 mins after everybody else's (after we pointed it out). Ketchup was pressured and exploded out as soon as I opened it and it went all on my clothes. Food was bland, overpriced and unseasoned. Cocktails were okay but strong.

We spontaneously went there for lunch today, can only recommend the restaurant, great food, very nice service. Would go there again and again.

Food was good, service was very nice & attentive

My girlfriend and I had chosen a nice sunny table for four people; our husbands were to join us later. After a short while the waiter came and said the table had already been reserved, but there was no indication anywhere that this was the case. We should choose another table, we didn't like them because they were in the shade. The website explicitly states that reservations outside are not possible. The table was then occupied by a group who had arrived shortly before. It was probably believed that more sales could be generated here. We then left the restaurant, the way customers are treated here is not good at all. We looked for a nice restaurant on the Leine "Stadtmauer" which was a nice evening in a really great restaurant with nice service

Unfortunately, we couldn't say anything about the food. We sat outside in the sun for 10 minutes until the waiter came and complimented us. The table is reserved, we should sit in the shade. There was no "reserved" sign anywhere and therefore not visible to us. With an extremely arrogant manner he wished us a nice evening. It's unbelievable how they let loose on customers.

We were over 20 people and had reserved in advance by email. Everything worked smoothly and the food was delicious. There was a diverse selection of vegetarian dishes

The food is fast food so unfortunately I can't recommend it. Also expensive for something like that.

The attention from a waiter was really unpleasant, we were prohibited from drinking water from a separate place and they required us to keep the container, they gave us raw food as well as cold, the only good thing is the drinks because the rest was really unpleasant, I recommend not coming if you want to have a good time

❗️The meal was quite good, but it took almost an hour. And you can't order tap water. I mean, it's tap water!! If you just stupidly want to get the maximum profit out of people's pockets and offer a 0.75l bottle of seltzer water for 8€❗️ (which costs 0.80-1€ per bottle in wholesale for commercial customers), in my opinion you only deserve 2 stars :)

The Schnitzel Sissi comes ready-breaded from the freezer. Not recommended.

I've been to Sissi & Franz several times and am always impressed. The food is very tasty and if you ask for changes, they are implemented well. I've never had to wait long for my food and I'm always full afterwards. I will definitely come again.

The waiter was very unfriendly to us and unfortunately couldn't speak clearly enough. Thanks to him we won't be coming anymore. But the food was very tasty

Was here for the third time and tasted really good again! The atmosphere is very inviting and decorated in keeping with the Sissi & Franz theme. The names of the dishes also fit well. You feel very comfortable in the store! The burgers are very, very tasty. This time I tested the bowl and it was completely convincing. The waitresses were always friendly too. Gladly again!

The food came quickly. The cutlery was clean. The stains should be polished away. I thought the food was completely fine.

After a hike on the red thread through Hanover, I had a burger at Sissi and Franz. I chose the cheeseburger with fries and a drink from the lunch menu. Super tasty. Any time. I can highly recommend it. The service staff was also very nice and friendly.

Scary experience! Unfriendly and unprofessional staff. Inedible food and drinks. The ingredients and products used are absolutely low-budget and you can taste it. Almost no space on the tables. Just like at the neighboring table. You feel cooped up and uncomfortable. The focus is obviously on being able to get as many guests through as possible at once. Unfortunately, savings are being made at every turn. You can't even use the word "quality" in a sentence here, even if you wanted to, because it doesn't exist at all. More appearance than reality. Once and never again!!!

What a bad service! We just wanted to go there for lunch, the weather is fine so we would like to sit outside. We wait and after 5 minutes a lady tells us from a distance that her colleague is coming soon. After another 10 minutes, we were just about to get up when the colleague came out to us “chewing”. And be the first to say that there is no service outside! We replied how a guest could know that, it wasn't written there. His answer: there are no sauces outside 😂😂😂 Then we decided to leave. It's a shame for the restaurant because it actually makes a good first impression. In the end, a lot depends on the staff!

4.5 out of 5 stars. The food is fantastic! The store itself is very descriptive and cozy. Unfortunately, the cocktails were nothing at all and the service staff either couldn't fulfill special requests due to language barriers or looked rather unfriendly when serving. Anyone who can see past that is well served here.

I ordered an Elizabeth burger, they gave me a big misunderstanding in the form of a mess of ingredients. It was impossible to eat like a burger, you had to eat it with a fork like a salad, and yet it didn't taste good at all. I must say that for the rest the restaurant is good enough to relax and meet

The service was very unfriendly and arrogant! The food, Käsespätzle and Kaiserschmarrn, were both very greasy and had nothing to do with the originals! The portion served is only a third compared to the advertising. After two bites, we paid and left the restaurant! The service is A1, and the ambience also seems very unusual with the “huts” in which you can sit. The food was also served quickly. The burgers were great, they are creations that you can't find anywhere else. What couldn't be missed was an Almdudler and that's when the Austrian feeling arose. We'll be back.

Were there for the first time yesterday. Food was delicious. Service bad. Too loud, misinformation. We were told that you could also order a salad with the burger and the drink. When we asked if it was free, we were told yes. Then the waiter pointed to the salad row where we each ordered a salad with meat. Great surprise when the bill came, over €80 for 2 people. When we asked, the waiter didn't understand anything and had to refer someone else who then explained to us that they weren't included. We didn't even finish the salads because there were too many. Something like that has never happened to me before, then dear Hans in luck. You'll get a much cheaper price on the menu. For a restaurant called Sissi and Franz, I would definitely have expected German-speaking staff.

August 29, 2024. We sat outside and enjoyed the food. I had grilled vegetables and sweet potato fries, while my friend went for cheese spaetzle and a huge ice cream dessert. While we ate, a short rain shower brought a pleasant cooling after the hot day. I was there barefoot and wasn't thrown out. Very good! :)

I had a great visit to Sissi and Franz 😀! The food was really tasty and exceeded my expectations. I particularly noticed the friendly staff 😙, who were always helpful and courteous. The pleasant atmosphere rounded off the experience perfectly. I can only recommend a visit!

Somehow we expected more but everything was okay, but when the waiter asked if we would like another dessert, we said we'd see... well, we chose something and spent 30 minutes trying to get the waiter to come to us again. Very good and authentic tavern, mountain and Alpine cuisine in a rustic atmosphere. We enjoy coming here and always feel comfortable. Friendly and very attentive employees create a feeling of 'home'. Various types of draft beer complement the food as well as the rest of the drinks menu. All of this at very fair prices. A must for a break in the mountains.

Better go eat Jim Block Burger! If you go here without high expectations, at least you won't be disappointed. So bring the card, there's a large selection that no one needs. Instead of concentrating on the essentials and offering a maximum of 5 burgers, here you have 2 sides of burgers on the menu. Quantity instead of quality is very important here 👍🏻 Patty without seasoning, the rest is a lower average burger. Fries completely without salt or similar, the chilli cheese sauce is visually reminiscent of 3-day-old scrambled eggs, the consistency is also disgustingly crumbly and a matter for the trash can. So I ate the part of the old potato sticks from the bottom that weren't stuck together by the hard and cold cheese-like mass and there weren't many... The service only understood 50% German of what you wanted and ordered. But he tried to make an effort. If you like the kitschy decor, well... there won't be a second visit.

The "Viennese" schnitzel has nothing to do with Vienna...just oily and machine-breaded, the service is unfriendly

We reserved a table for 14 people three months in advance. When we arrived we were offered several individual tables. When we said that we would like to sit together, we were told in a rude manner that we could also book an extra room for €150 an hour. We ended up leaving. We definitely won't go here again.

The waitress could come outside more often. We like to sit outside there... Watch people and cars 😜 Addition from 11/30/24: Potato Rösti with Zurich veal slices. That was nothing.....disgusting fibrous meat....2 tiny pieces with very bad thin sauce. For over 20 euros.... We will never eat there again. Drinking and watching people/cars is good there, but we probably won't eat again

We were in Hanover for a few days and came across this great restaurant by chance. So the food is super tasty, a great ambience and a very friendly staff. We were always on time because I think if you want to go there in the evening you should book a table in advance. And because we liked it so much, we went there twice.

The Sissi und Franz restaurant scores with a beautiful and cozy atmosphere that invites you to linger. However, from a culinary point of view it was not convincing. The menu predominantly offers burgers, which are interchangeable in terms of taste and are often prepared better elsewhere. Even the fries you were hoping for turned out to be pretty average. In terms of price, the restaurant is in the upper range, for example at €4.50 for a cola, which seems quite high. Overall, the restaurant is okay to visit, but anyone who places particular emphasis on outstanding food will be disappointed.

It's always worth coming back here

The burgers taste surprisingly good. But the service left a lot to be desired. We constantly had to go downstairs and order a waiter because no one came up or didn't look or hear. But they were friendly, hence 1 star more.

You can sit outside here and watch. There are heaters outside. We were there twice in quick succession and unfortunately found that you wait a little longer for service if you sit outside. The drinks (mulled wine and cocktails) are good. We ordered the Rösti with sliced ​​veal. Unfortunately not recommended. The Rösti was a large potato pancake. Unfortunately, we had read a lot of bad reviews on various portals before the visit and so we went to Sissi and Franz with a strange feeling. We were pleasantly surprised, the staff was very friendly, we didn't wait long for the orders, the food was delicious, price- Performance fits. There were 10 of us and everyone enjoyed it.

for me it's the best place with burgers in hannover. i usually eat chickenburgers and the carolina one is a masterpiece, no other cheeseburger i ate in my life can compare to that one. my boyfriend eats regular burgers and always praises the large selection, which includes various combinations and he was never disappointed. fries and drinks are also delicious. the interior is cozy and the staff is very nice. i highly recommend 🍔🍟⭐

We found the restaurant quite by accident, so we visited it. The interior literally tempted me and I have to admit that it was really great food! The service was very accommodating, the food was express quickly from ordering on the table (I suppose at that time there was less workload just before 16⁰⁰+-) The environment of the restaurant is very pleasant, the food is great and the prices correspond to absolutely everything. I will be happy to stop here again.

The food is authentic and delicious - from Wiener Schnitzel to apple strudel, everything here tastes like a short vacation in Austria. The service is attentive and warm, you feel well looked after. It was clear to me that the patties were not fresh - with good meat and a successful mix of other ingredients, sauces, etc., this can certainly lead to a delicious burger. Unfortunately that wasn't the case with my burger: "Charlemagne" with a double patty and bacon was basically okay: bacon crispy, bun fluffy, sauce could have been more and not so random. The patties, on the other hand, were a disaster: far too firm and dry! Texture like a wooden board. Someone here didn't do a good job preparing it before freezing.

Sissi and Franz were part of every visit to Hanover. Unfortunately, history. The service is beyond bad. Cappuccino just lukewarm. It was then exchanged after a complaint, but without a word of regret. Without a smile. Simply turned off. Plus 3.75 euros per cup?? No, we won't be coming back

Very great restaurant, we always like to come back. Delicious burgers, great Sissi and Franz concept can be found throughout the store. Finally a restaurant that serves delicious non-alcoholic drinks. I have the strawberry lemonade every time, it's an absolute pleasure. The milkshakes and ice cream sundaes are also very generously portioned, so you shouldn't make the mistake of ordering both together for one person😂 Calories and sugar bomb is not a suitable expression at all...

Incredibly bad service. The lady behind the counter simply refused to speak to me, even though she at least spoke some English. She always just pointed to the back, where someone was supposed to come. After a while a waiter appeared. I asked if I could charge my phone. He fought back violently. Well, that's a shame. I then asked if I could sit in one of the booths as there was a lot available and he wanted to place me in the middle. 5 more times (FIVE) he said violently that he couldn't charge my phone. I had buried that hope long ago! He disappeared and I was unsure whether I was allowed to sit there or not... When he came back, there was no complaint about my seat, I ordered straight away. After ten minutes he came back to take my order! I said that I had already ordered. He even repeated the order! That was too colorful for me. Why keep me waiting so long? No no. They should do their stuff on their own. Never again!

After waiting half an hour (it was during the week and there were few guests), I unfortunately dropped my tea, which costs €4.45. After I asked for hot water, he rudely said that it wasn't possible! Unbelievable! I never expected to get a new drink from a spritzer, cola or anything else, but this was about hot water! Sad for such a nice restaurant but I will never come back.

Very good food for an okay price. The waitresses are always very friendly and accommodating. The only drawback is that the music is usually a little too loud for our taste. Nevertheless, we always enjoy coming back on every trip (through) Hanover.

Luckily, both dishes we chose were incredibly tasty. We took “Franz” and “Bowl Pompej” and ate every last piece. However, the “Aperol Spritz” cocktail wasn’t that good and didn’t suit us. Maybe we'll try something different next time.
