A nice, cozy, large place. The background music was songs from the 80s, 90s, and 2000s. A real treat for us. The food was delicious. They have a variety of menus. Friendly, hardworking, and efficient service. In short, a nice place for a casual bite to eat. The price-quality ratio is excellent.

The food was delicious, but the service was terrible. It started when we asked for fries but they weren't brought to us. Despite pointing out that they hadn't arrived, they were still charged for them when the bill came. Absolutely outrageous. I also had a BonBon voucher and had asked the waiter beforehand if I could still use it. When we paid, he said it wasn't possible. After repeatedly asking if there was someone who knew about it, like the manager, he tried again, and it worked. He tried to make me feel like it couldn't be done without even attempting anything. Complete incompetence. As I said, the food was great; the atmosphere was good, but the service was lacking. Luckily, we checked the bill again at the end and got the €5 refunded for the fries.

Sissi and Franz have a very nice atmosphere, the food is superb, and the Freiherr von Wien and Joseph Burgers are excellent. The music is fantastic and instantly puts you in a good mood.

Unfriendly staff. The board the food was served on was broken and didn't move while cutting the burger. The wooden board also had cracks. Because of the damaged board, everything wobbled while cutting, and all the untouched fries ended up on the floor. We told the waiter we'd like a new board so the burger wouldn't end up on the floor. He said "it's part of the concept," but we simply said we'd like a new board because the one was obviously damaged, and maybe some fresh fries too. We got a new board, and lo and behold, everything worked perfectly. However, we still didn't get a fresh portion of fries and had to pay for the ones that ended up on the floor because of the damaged board. Completely uncustomer-oriented. We won't be going back to this place. What a shame…

Very friendly staff. The atmosphere and the music were lovely. You feel right at home here. The food was delicious; I had the Don Pomm and the Kaiserschmarrn, and my companion had the Kasspätzle. Highly recommended! If I ever travel to Hanover again, I will definitely consider visiting this establishment again!

The customer is treated like a supplicant here. We turned right around and left after just a few minutes. But apparently, there are people who enjoy being supplicants in restaurants.

We shared a portion of Käsespätzle here, and I've never been so disappointed in my life. The Käsespätzle tasted like the cheapest butter cheese and came with soggy fried onions, which kind of ruined my evening, as they were more like microwaved pasta with cheese. The only positive was the homemade iced tea, but that's not why I go to a restaurant.

A very cozy, alpine-style restaurant with a fantastic quality and quantity of different dishes, mainly burgers, schnitzel, and the like. The burgers are super delicious, the fries could be crispier, but overall a well-deserved 5 stars.

We were very disappointed. We ordered cocktails – they tasted absolutely terrible. We asked for them to be remade, but they were even worse than before. Totally unbalanced, as if everything had just been thrown together. No enjoyment, and the service was not good. We definitely won't be back.

I visited this restaurant with my girlfriend on my birthday. Unfortunately, the service was characterized by a level of arrogance and unfriendliness that is hard to beat. Upon arrival, we had to wait in the entrance area for several minutes without anyone attending to us. Although a waiter had clearly noticed us, he preferred to go to the kitchen rather than seat us. When I asked if there were any window seats available upstairs, I received a simple, curt reply: "Reserved." Only later, after checking the website, did I realize that the upstairs area had numerous seats – apparently, we were deliberately lied to. When I subsequently asked which drinks were included in the lunch menu, the waiter simply reached for the menu and pointed to the relevant page without a word, instead of offering any friendly information. After I placed my order for a burger, side dish, and drink, he again pointed out in a harsh tone that the lunch menu only included detox water and lemonade. Only after I pointed out that I didn't want a lunch menu at all did he proceed with the order. The only positive thing to note was the speed of preparation of the food. Unfortunately, the quality of the food itself lived up to the criticisms already expressed in other reviews: inferior ingredients at inflated prices. Throughout our entire stay, we were largely ignored by the waiter. He regularly checked with neighboring tables to see if everything was okay, but he paid us no further attention – except for the moment when we asked for the bill. The most serious incident, however, occurred after paying: After I had paid the bill without complaint but without a tip, the waiter loudly commented at the bar on the guests' tipping habits, including ours, and announced the amounts clearly for everyone present to hear. I have never experienced such behavior in any other restaurant. My conclusion: I strongly do not recommend visiting this restaurant. Anyone who values ​​friendly, respectful, and professional service should avoid this restaurant—especially if it's a special occasion like a birthday.

Disappointing food and poor quality The fries with pulled pork were of very poor quality: The meat was dry, stringy, and burnt in places, the sauce was very burnt, and charred fried onions lay underneath. The dish was also visually unappealing. The visual aspect is definitely not something you can eat, and it gives the impression that quality and health safety are not a major consideration. There was also a sharp-edged piece of bone in the food and other charred items (see photos - no longer identifiable). I could only eat a few fries and returned the rest. The veal schnitzel was also disappointing – very small, irregularly shaped, heavily curled, and significantly too fatty. For €24, the price-performance ratio is not justified. The server responded to my feedback without apology, pointing out that they were just buying the food. However, responsibility for what is served to the guest should lie with the kitchen. Afterward, we noticed that another guest had also returned the pulled pork. Unfortunately, I was still charged the full amount for the dish. A restaurant that values ​​quality and customer satisfaction should take such feedback seriously, draw conclusions, and assume responsibility. Unfortunately, that wasn't the case here.

I can't recommend this place. Unless you just go there to take in the ambience, which is really nice and cozy. The food itself is overpriced considering the portions are stingy. I ordered the veal Wiener schnitzel. It was small, extremely dry, and overcooked. The edges of the schnitzel were so hard and dried out. A very tough piece of shoe sole. The worst schnitzel I've ever eaten. A veal schnitzel should be tender and soft. The fries come in a cardboard bag on the plate, which looks more appropriate for a fast food chain. All for 25 euros, which any street food stand could do better. My wife ordered cheese spaetzle. She said they were delicious. But the portion was the size of a small cup of coffee. Never again.

Service is good. On the street. The entrance area with hot air blower is also charming. In terms of price, I think it is expensive but not comparable to others. Since I have not checked any other options nearby. Rice options not available.

This was my first time at Sissi and Franz's, and I'll definitely go back! I've eaten a lot of burgers, but my special burger menu with sweet potato and truffle mayo... mmmm, delicious! I'd eat that burger again and again... that's rare! The burger was also incredibly delicious! High-quality, rich red meat from Irish Angus beef! 11/10. The service is great, everything is clean, and even though there were 11 of us, we all had our food within 10-15 minutes!!! Warm and delicious. Thank you! Thank you! 🤍

We were greeted and shown to a table, but then no service came for more than 20 minutes. Other tables near us were also left unattended, even though the place wasn't very busy.

I really feel sorry for the owner for giving such a review, but a business rises and falls with its staff. Unfortunately, we were unlucky. The waiter was actually friendly, but then he apparently didn't understand the order and almost shouted at us afterwards. Since we were there for a birthday dinner with seven people, I didn't want to spoil the mood. But calling myself a liar doesn't fit with my understanding. The food and everything else may have been great, but it's a shame.

Everything was fine, mayo tasted like battery

Last time there. Very bad service. We went there again as a family with our 4-year-old boy. The service is sometimes good, sometimes not so good. But never as disastrous as yesterday. Upon entering, we asked where we could sit. "Anywhere" was the answer, so we sat in a "hut." Our son was tired and dozed off comfortably, while we chose our dishes. Then a waiter came and said we couldn't sit there because it was reserved. We replied that the previous statement had been "anywhere" and there was no sign on the table. It didn't matter, but this table was reserved. We had to leave and were moved. Afterward, other guests arrived, looked around and decided where they wanted to sit, and decided on "our hut." They were served. I asked the group if they had reservations because, upon entering, they seemed undecided about where to sit. They didn't have a reservation either, but suddenly it didn't seem to be a problem anymore. We spoke to the waiter again, who assured us that we had a reservation and could show it. It would be in two hours... Sorry, but that's just not acceptable. We used to enjoy visiting Sissi and Franz from time to time, and I even organized our company team event there (with four-figure sales). However, this incident has now caused us to steer clear of the place and won't recommend it anymore.

Horrible You sit there for 15 minutes and no one comes to take your order. Even though the store was only 1/5 full and the only server was standing in the doorway.

The food is consistently delicious. It's appetizingly presented, and the prices are fair. There's a special menu for children with puzzles and coloring activities. The service is very good. The atmosphere is consistently friendly. "Sissi and Franz" is definitely worth a visit!

The only good thing here is the staff. €13 for a crappy burger, €7 for run-of-the-mill fries that any air fryer could do better. And to top it all off, the condition of the dishes is terrible. The fries are served in RUSTY POTS?! Seriously?! And that wasn't just the case with my fries. Once, never again.

We were there for the first time yesterday. The ambiance looked very nice. We had a table straight away. The drinks came quickly. After that, no one came to take our food order. We sat there stupidly for 30-40 minutes. No food, no order. They stood by every table and told us that no one had come. Sorry, that was a disgrace. We left.

The waiter was absolutely unfriendly. We wanted to try out the restaurant's NeoTaste. I told him before ordering and activated it in front of him. But afterward, he somehow couldn't remember and thinks we're trying to scam him. He'd rather eat somewhere else.

Unfortunately, they're often severely understaffed, and the citizens are only average. Waiting times can sometimes be as much as an hour when it's busy.

The staff was very friendly, which was the only positive thing. The food was inedible. The burger meat was poor quality – it tasted so strongly of barnyard meat on all of our burgers. I had to take it out of the burger. The vanilla shake, despite all the hype surrounding it, simply tasted of nothing. The sodas were also so-so. Absolutely not worth the money.

A beautifully designed burger joint with an Alpine hut design, with good burgers and all the trimmings. Homemade fries and sauces, delicious salads and bowls, all at reasonable prices and in generous portions. The service was a bit slow for us; at least the drinks outside took a while to arrive, but still in plenty of time before the food. The outside area was quite busy, by the way; even though you're practically sitting right on the street, behind glass of course, it's cozy and not too loud. There was nothing to complain about as far as the food goes: the burger was good but nothing exceptional, and the bowl was fresh and crispy with a few unusual ideas.

My girlfriend and I have been coming here twice a year since 2019, and we always have a great afternoon. No matter which burger we've had, we've never been disappointed. The service is very friendly and attentive, but not intrusive, so you can have a quiet chat. It's great in the winter with the fireplace in the room, and in the summer you can sit outside. We'd love to come back! 😊

It looked nice inside, but the music was way too loud, and they couldn't turn it down even when we asked. We had to wait a long time to be served. The selection is large, but it's more of a burger restaurant.

The coffee was tasteless, the five cards on the table were confusing, and the service was friendly but slow, with drinks coming out too infrequently. Oat milk was available, hence the 2 stars. The carpets on the benches outside were not clean.

I've been there about five times now. I'm very satisfied. The atmosphere is very inviting and comfortable. I can't fault the service either. Very friendly, and you never feel like you're being forgotten. I think the food there is very good. I've had several bowls, which were very tasty and the portions were perfect. I've also had a burger with pulled pork there, which was also very good and I really enjoyed it. The sodas there also have a wide selection and are very delicious. I can definitely recommend it.

Interestingly designed restaurant with delicious food and friendly service. Since I'm not a burger fan, I find the skinny burgers interesting because I could experience the delicious flavor without having to fight with that "tower." 😅 And the dessert, the white chocolate soufflé, was so incredibly delicious. 100 points for that. The only downside... you can't even finish a milkshake after a burger. 😉 We'll have to try that next time. 😊

Burgers, cocktails and May evening – they just go well together here. We were there around 7:30 p.m. and were able to sit outside when the weather was nice. The food was delicious – everyone had a burger and a side dish. The side dishes cost extra, but there is a deal: burger of your choice plus a fixed surcharge, but the side dish and cocktail are included. We paid 45 euros for two people - a fair price for a restaurant visit. The service was very friendly and attentive. The only downside: it took about 20 minutes for the order to be taken. Still a pleasant evening with good food and a relaxed atmosphere.

The drinks and food were delivered quickly, but the dessert took quite a long time, so long that we wanted to ask for the bill.

Arrived and immediately the waiter felt rude and annoyed at our presence. He messed up the drink order and tried to blame us. 2 of our food dishes didn't arrive till 15-20 mins after everybody else's (after we pointed it out). Ketchup was pressured and exploded out as soon as I opened it and it went all on my clothes. Food was bland, overpriced and unseasoned. Cocktails were okay but strong.

We spontaneously went there for lunch today, can only recommend the restaurant, great food, very nice service. Would go there again and again.

Unfortunately, we couldn't say anything about the food. We sat outside in the sun for 10 minutes until the waiter came and complimented us. The table is reserved, we should sit in the shade. There was no "reserved" sign anywhere and therefore not visible to us. With an extremely arrogant manner he wished us a nice evening. It's unbelievable how they let loose on customers.

My girlfriend and I had chosen a nice sunny table for four people; our husbands were to join us later. After a short while the waiter came and said the table had already been reserved, but there was no indication anywhere that this was the case. We should choose another table, we didn't like them because they were in the shade. The website explicitly states that reservations outside are not possible. The table was then occupied by a group who had arrived shortly before. It was probably believed that more sales could be generated here. We then left the restaurant, the way customers are treated here is not good at all. We looked for a nice restaurant on the Leine "Stadtmauer" which was a nice evening in a really great restaurant with nice service

We were over 20 people and had reserved in advance by email. Everything worked smoothly and the food was delicious. There was a diverse selection of vegetarian dishes

The food is fast food so unfortunately I can't recommend it. Also expensive for something like that.

The attention from a waiter was really unpleasant, we were prohibited from drinking water from a separate place and they required us to keep the container, they gave us raw food as well as cold, the only good thing is the drinks because the rest was really unpleasant, I recommend not coming if you want to have a good time

❗️The meal was quite good, but it took almost an hour. And you can't order tap water. I mean, it's tap water!! If you just stupidly want to get the maximum profit out of people's pockets and offer a 0.75l bottle of seltzer water for 8€❗️ (which costs 0.80-1€ per bottle in wholesale for commercial customers), in my opinion you only deserve 2 stars :)

I've been to Sissi & Franz several times and am always impressed. The food is very tasty and if you ask for changes, they are implemented well. I've never had to wait long for my food and I'm always full afterwards. I will definitely come again.

Was here for the third time and tasted really good again! The atmosphere is very inviting and decorated in keeping with the Sissi & Franz theme. The names of the dishes also fit well. You feel very comfortable in the store! The burgers are very, very tasty. This time I tested the bowl and it was completely convincing. The waitresses were always friendly too. Gladly again!
