Atmosphere of the usual system restaurant, quite expensive and the food was mostly cold. The braised vegetable pot was - unlike the picture on the menu - not even half full. That was nothing at all

The food is authentic and delicious - from Wiener Schnitzel to apple strudel, everything here tastes like a short vacation in Austria. The service is attentive and warm, you feel well looked after. A clear recommendation for fans of Austrian cuisine or anyone who simply wants to eat well!

Sat outside. Blankets and radiant heaters. Top. Top food at a reasonable price. Recommended.

Actually a nice place, but if you think that there is Austrian cuisine there you will be disappointed, there are mainly burgers, with burger buns or bread or without anything, very tasty though. But based on the name you will be disappointed if you were hoping for something different

It was clear to me that the patties were not fresh - with good meat and a successful mix of other ingredients, sauces, etc., this can certainly lead to a delicious burger. Unfortunately that wasn't the case with my burger: "Charlemagne" with a double patty and bacon was basically okay: bacon crispy, bun fluffy, sauce could have been more and not so random. The patties, on the other hand, were a disaster: far too firm and dry! Texture like a wooden board. Someone here didn't do a good job preparing it before freezing.

Very great restaurant, we always like to come back. Delicious burgers, great Sissi and Franz concept can be found throughout the store. Finally a restaurant that serves delicious non-alcoholic drinks. I have the strawberry lemonade every time, it's an absolute pleasure. The milkshakes and ice cream sundaes are also very generously portioned, so you shouldn't make the mistake of ordering both together for one person😂 Calories and sugar bomb is not a suitable expression at all...

We passed Sissi and Franz by chance and spontaneously got a table. The ambience is definitely special and it was very cozy. The food came so quickly and was incredibly tasty. We had salad, burgers and children's meals. Absolute recommendation!

After waiting half an hour (it was during the week and there were few guests), I unfortunately dropped my tea, which costs €4.45. After I asked for hot water, he rudely said that it wasn't possible! Unbelievable! I never expected to get a new drink from a spritzer, cola or anything else, but this was about hot water! Sad for such a nice restaurant but I will never come back.

Incredibly bad service. The lady behind the counter simply refused to speak to me, even though she at least spoke some English. She always just pointed to the back, where someone was supposed to come. After a while a waiter appeared. I asked if I could charge my phone. He fought back violently. Well, that's a shame. I then asked if I could sit in one of the booths as there was a lot available and he wanted to place me in the middle. 5 more times (FIVE) he said violently that he couldn't charge my phone. I had buried that hope long ago! He disappeared and I was unsure whether I was allowed to sit there or not... When he came back, there was no complaint about my seat, I ordered straight away. After ten minutes he came back to take my order! I said that I had already ordered. He even repeated the order! That was too colorful for me. Why keep me waiting so long? No no. They should do their stuff on their own. Never again!

Very good food for an okay price. The waitresses are always very friendly and accommodating. The only drawback is that the music is usually a little too loud for our taste. Nevertheless, we always enjoy coming back on every trip (through) Hanover.

Luckily, both dishes we chose were incredibly tasty. We took “Franz” and “Bowl Pompej” and ate every last piece. However, the “Aperol Spritz” cocktail wasn’t that good and didn’t suit us. Maybe we'll try something different next time.

Had dinner here again after a shopping trip. First of all, the staff is very, very friendly. The interiors are beautifully designed, but the food and drinks on offer are also very tasty. We would love to come back.

I recently visited this restaurant and unfortunately the experience was less than convincing. Let's start with the food: it was average at best and not particularly tasteful. However, what was really disappointing was the service. At first it was difficult to even place an order because no service staff showed up. The store was max. 1/3 full. Our drinks were switched several times and beer was spilled all over the table. This can of course happen and is not a problem. But the way the situation was handled was disappointing. There was no apology or attempt to make up for the mishap. We also had to ask for cloths to dry our things (cell phone, bag, chair…). In addition, the drinks prices are sometimes completely exorbitant. €6.45 for a small (0.25ml?) lemonade (full of ice) is pretty cheeky. All in all a frustrating visit. I wouldn't recommend it, at least not for this price and with such poor service.

Actually delicious food and I actually wanted to come back, but when paying by card the waiter told me a higher amount than was on the bill, which I specifically asked for. Honestly, that's a disgrace. I would actually have liked to have asked for my tip back with so much audacity. So always ask for the bill or avoid the store if you don't want to get ripped off.

Hello friends. We were there about 3 weeks ago. Until now, for me, burgers were, quite simply, burgers. On another trip to Hanover we passed by "Sissi and Franz". Looked a bit rustic. Stable, completely robust wooden benches and tables. We became curious. So we sat outside. I myself had a burger with meat and fries. Unfortunately, I completely forgot to take photos of our food. Were real eye-catchers! The fries even had the skin on, which gave the fries a special taste. The burgers were prepared with fresh lettuce, onions, cucumber and a great sauce. Absolutely delicious. The staff was also very friendly. Although our contact person had problems with the German language, we were able to communicate with English and "hands and feet". All in all, a real gain for my work as a Google guide. It was a visit that was really worth it. We would definitely like to come back. Then we try other burgers. “Schlimmer geht’s nicht!” Der Besuch in diesem Restaurant war eine absolute Katastrophe von Anfang bis Ende. Zuerst mussten wir eine Ewigkeit warten, bis sich überhaupt jemand von der Bedienung bemühte, zu uns zu kommen. Doch das war leider nur der Anfang eines Desasters. Als ich mich leicht zu meinem Hund bücken wollte, kippte die Sitzbank plötzlich zur Seite! Ich landete unsanft auf dem Boden, mein Bier wurde verschüttet und das Kerzenglas zerbrach in lauter Scherben. Anstatt uns zu helfen, ignorierten die Bedienungen das Ganze komplett. Nur eine freundliche Frau aus dem Restaurant half mir auf die Beine. Die Mitarbeiter? Kein Finger wurde gerührt. Statt einer Entschuldigung wurden wir unfreundlich von der Seite angefahren, wir sollen einfach sitzen bleiben – obwohl der Tisch nass war und überall Scherben lagen. Erst als ich erklärte, dass mein Hund sich an den Scherben verletzen könnte, durften wir widerwillig an einen anderen Tisch wechseln. Zu allem Überfluss wurde mein verschüttetes Bier nicht ersetzt. Niemand fragte nach meinem Befinden, geschweige denn entschuldigte sich. Die männlichen Kellner sprachen kaum Deutsch, was die Kommunikation zusätzlich erschwerte. Das Essen? Der absolute Tiefpunkt. Der Burger war geschmacklos, das Fleisch schmeckte wie aufgetaute Massenware, und das Brötchen war am Ende komplett matschig. Ganz ehrlich: Der schlechteste Burger, den ich je gegessen habe. Und als Krönung war das Bier lauwarm, als es endlich ankam. Fazit: Unfreundlicher Service, katastrophale Hygiene und schlechtes Essen – nie wieder! Spart euch den Ärger und geht woanders hin. Dieses Restaurant sollte sich schämen.

“It couldn’t be worse!” The visit to this restaurant was an absolute disaster from start to finish. At first we had to wait an eternity before anyone from the wait staff even made an effort to come to us. But unfortunately that was just the beginning of a disaster. When I wanted to bend down slightly to my dog, the bench suddenly tipped to the side! I landed unceremoniously on the floor, my beer was spilled and the candle glass shattered into shards. Instead of helping us, the waitresses completely ignored the whole thing. Only a friendly woman from the restaurant helped me to my feet. The employees? Not a finger was lifted. Instead of an apology, we were rudely approached from the side and told to just stay seated - even though the table was wet and there were broken pieces everywhere. Only when I explained that my dog ​​could hurt himself on the shards were we reluctantly allowed to move to another table. To make matters worse, my spilled beer wasn't replaced. Nobody asked how I was, let alone apologized. The male waiters hardly spoke any German, which made communication even more difficult. The food? The absolute lowest point. The burger was tasteless, the meat tasted like it had been defrosted, and the bun ended up completely soggy. Honestly: the worst burger I've ever eaten. And to top it off, the beer was lukewarm when it finally arrived. Conclusion: Unfriendly service, catastrophic hygiene and bad food – never again! Save yourself the trouble and go somewhere else. This restaurant should be ashamed of itself.

The food was good but the service was bad. We waited almost 45 minutes for our drinks. When we ordered the main courses, we asked the waiter whether the Kaiserschmarrn needed a long cooking time. If so, we wanted to order beforehand, but we were told no. And in the end it took 30-40 minutes!! So it's a total flop for us.

Nice restaurant in downtown Hanover near the market hall. Nice ambience with lots of wood and typical mountain decoration. The menu has a lot to offer...even burgers without a bun, i.e. low carb. Also great shakes or homemade lemonades. We enjoyed it!

The ambience is mediocre, the staff is unfriendly and brings the wrong food. When you comment that it's not the burger you want, you get complained about. The highlight is that the wrong burger is also cold. Not recommended!!!

The restaurant is worth a visit. It finally offers healthy food. The food is low carb and just right for my pregnant wife. She enjoyed the burger and her blood sugar barely rose. Finally something pleasant for my wife during her pregnancy. Please keep it up. I can only recommend this restaurant!

Very clean!!! 5 stars for that. Service was quick and friendly. The food is ok, we were happy about specialties from Austria :) Dessert was also delicious. Above all, the prices are realistic. There were four of us and we paid a total of 124 euros...wow! Nowadays it is very cheap. Ambiance is great! We took lots of photos :)

Were there today, the waiter came quickly to take the order. About 1 minute later we found an evening offer with a cocktail and fries and wanted to rebook. Unfortunately it wasn't possible and it was rejected quite rudely without any explanation. There were very few tables occupied apart from us (approx. 2 tables) we would have had time to mention that - even if we hadn't ordered any cocktails... we would have drunk these additionally if we had changed our order, so the restaurant would have taken in more and a tip would certainly have been given too flowed! It culminated in us being recommended to go somewhere else; there were enough stores if we saw that as bad service. It will probably be like this next time! It's a shame that they didn't just tell us in a friendly way, unfortunately it's not possible, the cash register doesn't allow it or something like that. A "you could have looked before" with about 10 drinks and menus in total - I found it quite cheeky... (especially when the order was taken so quickly - albeit by a different waiter). Food was quick and OK - skinny burger, very little side dish, so I expected more!

We had reserved a table. We were shown to the table. Cards and drinks came quickly and were delicious. We had to wait a long time for the food. Food was brought back and forth. A plate was brought to the table. 2 on another.etc.my son got it first and since our food wasn't in sight, he reluctantly started eating after a few minutes. Fortunately. My husband had to wait another 25 minutes and I had to wait 40 minutes. Then it was the wrong fries. So we went back again. The food was delicious, but the food around was disastrous. If you eat together, you want to eat together and could work through the tables one after the other and not like that. When we were finished we were told how to put off a new table. It would take a little longer. They left and we probably would have done the same if we had been told about it. At least we'll never go there again. Really very disappointing

This restaurant really offers nothing outstanding, below average. The music inside is way too loud. Our burgers were okay, but nothing more. There are much better ones in Hanover. The fries (medium portion) were completely overpriced at almost seven euros. The lemonade (more than half "crushed ice", the rest strawberry syrup mixed with water) also costs almost seven euros. The worst: The service really needs improvement! Some of the staff could only barely communicate in English and didn't understand any German. But that's not a bad thing, after all Hanover is a cosmopolitan, multicultural city. But if the waiter gets a tip of at least 4.20 euros for a bill of 25.80 euros, but doesn't even say thank you, let alone show any reaction, I find that abysmal! Conclusion: There are significantly better restaurants in Hanover's city center. On a Saturday afternoon they were all packed, only "Sissi and Franz" was half empty. There must be some reason for that.

Went there for lunch today and chose the lunch menu twice. So a burger and a choice of fries or salad. Then when ordering, I briefly changed my mind to 2x fries, which the service staff, who understood and spoke German very poorly, didn't understand. Lunch included a soft drink, which one of us didn't want and instead ordered a juice spritzer = extra cost. The bill surprised us because the one soft drink was not taken, the burger and fries were charged separately at the normal price because it was no longer a lunch menu!!! So he gave the landlord money and paid even more as a punishment. The second service person behind the counter responded to our complaint in a very unfriendly manner. Since it was a rehearsal dinner for a team event, we immediately looked for another restaurant for the event after the meal. We won't go there with our 16 colleagues!!!

I've been living in Hanover for almost 4 years and can someone tell me why I've never been here before?? Very unique atmosphere with the small rooms/seating areas. The names and the dishes were also great.. the waiter was also accommodating in his natural way.. I or we would like to come back...

I had been to the Sissi and Franz for the rifle parade. It was raining heavily that day and thank God you could stop at the café where you could relax. I had delicious cake New York Cheesecake, with coffee and was very satisfied with the ambience, food and service from the staff. I was really very satisfied. Thank you.

Today we had dinner at Sissi and Franz. My 5 stars refer to the restaurant and the food. The restaurant is super clean and you can see how much passion goes into it. The shop is creatively decorated and when you visit it for the first time you have to smile. The price of the food is also friendly. The service was terrible today. Long waiting times, food was forgotten, waiting again (apology came!), no smile... that could definitely be better.

The cheese spaetzle is really a disgrace. Demanding a full 8 euros for a goods value of less than one euro is simply brazen and ripping off the customer. This mini pot wasn't nearly half full, and the supposedly freshly made fried onions were an absolute joke. Completely dried out, and three in number. That was definitely the last time I would eat there.

Hello everyone, it's been a long time since I wrote a recession. Today it's about Sissi and Franz in Hanover. First of all, the location is mega rustic like in Austria. Very friendly staff. The food was absolutely great. Tested the Angus Burger Ferdinand, Skinny Burger, chili fries and a bowl of Pompeli. Great generous portions and damn tasty. We'll definitely be back. Between the many other burger shops that have already set up shop in Hanover, we wanted to give 'Sissi and Franz' a chance. The atmosphere is nice and appealing. Overall, the staff seems mostly nice, but our waiter was rude and unhelpful when asked. He really made you feel that your own presence was unwanted. The burger menu reads well at first, but the burgers are quite small and the taste can be improved. Unfortunately, the prices set are far too high for that. The latter can also be said of the drinks. Unfortunately, despite the nice location and ambience, this burger joint isn't convincing and we won't be coming back.

The food is very good, the drinks are a bit too fancy in my opinion, but ok. Unfortunately the music is very loud and some songs are louder than the rest.

Service was really nice and the fries were outstanding, but the burgers really were a let-down. The vegetarian variant I got had a dry patty and the goat's cream cheese was just a little dollop in the middle of the bun. Really did not enjoy the burger, my partner was also less then satisfied with her meat based burger. I also had a Gin Sour, which was alright, but nothing to write home about. There are better burger alternatives close by, but if you do choose to eat here, definitely get the fries.

A solid burger restaurant in the city center. The Joseph Burger is good and I like the taste much better than the Lindenblatt Burger because of the spicy sauces! Also very tasty are the crispy Pomm Sissi with the truffle mayo, which surprised us with its good seasoning! The Pomm Chilli were okay, but I've also had better chilli cheese fries. Sissi und Franz also has very fast and friendly service with plenty of space even for larger groups.

Probably the last visit. Had the Eugenie Burger. Overall very strange taste. Individual components are no better. The parmesan chip was really forgettable. Club plastic with a strange taste. The sweet potato fries were so boring. They really tasted like air with chip fat. The taste opposite was similar. Some of the service couldn't speak German but they knew the menu. Efforts to call service were exhausting.

A friend and I went for burgers yesterday. I actually come from Cuxhaven and was there for the first time. We just wanted to have a good time and celebrate something after seeing each other for a long time. When we came in there were a lot of seats available and it was pretty empty inside. First we sat in a very pleasant corner where we had some peace and quiet. But we were then sent away again because they said that it was supposedly reserved. But there was no sign or anything. Then we stood there for about 5 minutes because we weren't assigned a seat. (Could have reserved somewhere else) Nobody came. We then asked ourselves why we couldn't sit there, for example where (where we were sitting before) Nobody knew why we couldn't sit there and nobody shared a seat with us. The gentleman who had assigned us the seat came back and, unfortunately, we had to sit right next to a couple even though all the seats were free. Then we just did it and didn't discuss it any further. I think it was really stupid for the couple because we were all sitting together in such a small corner. I also emphasize again that it was very empty and everything was free. ALL EVENING NO ONE CAME TO THE PLACE WHERE WE SAT BEFORE. That makes you feel very stupid. But I wouldn't go there anymore because there are simply better stores in Hanover with better staff.

Nice place to eat something tasty,but portions for example like burgers we took,come without fries,just the burgers..also we waited for about an hour just for the fries we ordered.Also we sit in a table at the begging,and the waiter came to take our order,and after 5 mins told us the table was booked.The staff was friendly just felt a little weird there.

I would go there again for drinks, maybe. **Cons:** - The burgers: The patty is very thin, served well done even though I asked for medium well, and I'm pretty sure it's frozen (hence why it's served well done). For this price, I would expect a fresh patty. - The lettuce wasn't fresh and tasted quite bad. - The cheese was cold. - I disliked it so much that I left the whole dish on the table and left without eating it. One positive note is that the sweet potato chips were very good, but for this price and from a burger place, I expected more. **Summary:** A nice place for drinks, but as a burger place, there are better alternatives around.

Average citizen who was pretty dry in my opinion. OK for the price but there are definitely people in the surrounding area that are miles better. Fries were good. The outdoor area is very pleasantly furnished for sitting and net.
