Shinko - Sushi & Asian Fusion Bonn in Bonn

Most of the sushi was delicious—except for the bits where the fish was still frozen (!). But it was completely unacceptable that we had to wait about 1.5 hours for our main course. If we hadn't already received our appetizers, we would have left! We also waited a long time for our drinks; some were even forgotten altogether. Takeout orders were clearly given priority over those for dine-in customers. I will not be eating here again.

A very nice restaurant, lovingly decorated. The service was incredibly friendly and attentive. The food was truly excellent, and the quality was outstanding. A thoroughly enjoyable evening with a fantastic meal. Thank you so much, we'll definitely be back.

The sushi was frozen for too long and really doesn't taste good for the price. We specifically asked for more soy sauce, but instead we received two small packets for 40 large sushi rolls…

Delicious, always a pleasure. Real quality food, always very fresh and crisp. Gluten-free dishes are also available at no extra charge. The service is very attentive and friendly. The restaurant is a real asset to Kessenich, both for dining in and for takeout. Reservations are recommended for the evening. In summer, you can also sit comfortably outside on the quiet street. In winter, the outdoor area could be a bit cleaner, better maintained, and more inviting. 😉 All in all, a hidden gem among Bonn's restaurants, offering healthy, delicious, and easily digestible food at an acceptable price and in a pleasant atmosphere.

Positive: The soups (miso and salmon) were good. The fried ebi were also good, as was the slightly spicy cocktail sauce. Negative: The bowl was served with cold rice and smothered in cheap sesame sauce that tasted like it came from an Asian supermarket. The service wasn't exactly friendly or attentive—the staff seemed rather grumpy. The ambiance felt uninviting, more like an upscale fast-food joint than a restaurant.

I ordered sushi – two, three, four rolls, I don't remember exactly – for a total of €40. I ordered through Uber Eats. After two hours, the order still hadn't arrived. When I inquired, they referred me back to Uber Eats. They claimed the order was delivered after an hour. I don't know why it takes an hour for three rolls, but whatever. I have no idea where it was sent from; they had no proof or anything, and they didn't even call. My address was correct: street, house number, postal code, even the floor I live on. I had my mobile number and email address on file for inquiries. The Uber Eats driver's name was Mousa. Please never tip him again or order through him. I have no idea why they have to rip off customers like this.

A cozy restaurant tucked in Kessenich. They serve warm freshly cooked meals. I highly suggest trying out their coconut curry and The place only accepts cash payments so plan in advance.

Great sushi. But with a delivery charge of €6, I expect delivery to be almost on time.

First of all, maybe you should rethink the concept, because for me it's not really fusion cuisine, more Asian cuisine where food from different Asian countries is offered. It was delicious, although a few things could be improved, for example the ripeness of the ingredients. For that price, the mangos should be ripe and sweet. The chicken should be fried for less time at a higher heat so that it is aromatic on the outside and tender on the inside. The avocado should also be riper and creamier. The sauces were delicious. I will definitely come back and revise my review.

There were three of us here. The music was very loud at first, but they turned it down later. The food was delicious, and there are a few options without sushi and fish. Please chill the drinks more or use ice cubes. Otherwise, great!

I find 15€ for a starter portion quite expensive... There is no salmon because salmon has become so expensive... Vegetarians should please go somewhere else and not to a sushi restaurant, vegans too, I don't go to a vegan restaurant and complain that there is no steak. Staff with respiratory illnesses don't belong in the restaurant, they should go home

We were pleasantly surprised by the filling in the sushi, which was quite generous. Often there's more rice than filling—not the case here. As a thank you for our order, we received a small surprise. We will order again. Thank you very much! One small note: there are some vegetarian dishes—expanding the menu to include vegan options would be great.

The first impression is good. Very friendly service. As stated, what was ordered was ready and ready to be picked up in 15 minutes. We had maki rolls with salmon and peppers. That was very tasty. The restaurant offers a good ambience and invites you to eat there. Unfortunately there are too few parking spaces. It is therefore advisable to take the train. It also looks modest for pickup. If you come by car, you'll need some nerve to find a parking space. But parking here shouldn't have any influence on the quality of the restaurant.

Wir kommen aus Godesberg zu Shinko seit es das Restaurant gibt. Nigiri, Rolls, Suppen sind die besten, die es in Bonn gibt, wir haben in 13 Jahren einiges ausprobiert. Seit der Renovierung ist es auch sehr schön hier und das Personal ist super freundlich. Absolute Empfehlung, wir freuen uns aufs nächste mal.

Wir hatten in dem kleinen Restaurant einen sehr schönen Abend mit dem Vorspeisenteller für 2 und einem sehr gutem und leckeren gemischten Susi-Menüplatte für 2 Personen. Dazu erfrischende hausgemachte Limonade. Das Sushi war sehr lecker, frisch und schön zubereitet. Der Service war freundlich und aufmerksam. Das Lokal bietet auch Mittagstisch an und hat auch im Sommer rein paar Tische draußen. Es liegt verkehrsgünstig in der Burbacher Straße in Bonn-Kessenich, nah an Einkaufsmöglichkeiten und nah an der Straßenbahnstation Pützstraße. Definitiv eine Bereicherung für Kessenich und wir kommen gerne wieder.

We came quite spontaneously during one weekend, waited quite long for the food, but when the sushi plate was there, every minute we waited paid off! It’s THE best sushi I’ve had around Bonn. It’s so fresh and tasty, portion is enough for two person. Would recommend to everyone I know!

In itself a very small, fine restaurant. Unfortunately, something went wrong during our visit and we had to wait a long time for food, which unfortunately was hardly communicated by the service. Still 4 stars and certainly worth a visit. Definitely try the mackerel, a real treat!!

Visually, we all really liked the food, but none of us were impressed by the taste. Personally, I thought the mango salad was the best. When the bill came, everyone in our group agreed: We won't pay another visit to Shinko because it was really a lot of money for average food. Great service, very accommodating. The two of us ordered the largest menu - the waiter warned us that it might be too much... he was right. It was delicious and really very creative and lovingly designed. A small deduction in the B grade was the room temperature, which was for It was a bit too cold for our taste (at our table by the window). All in all, absolutely recommended!

Since it opened, we have enjoyed eating at the restaurant and bringing the food home with us.

Friendly welcome when we arrived. Someone wrote that the restaurant had a cozy atmosphere. But I do not share that opinion, the Christmas lights helped with that. The food itself was not bad but also not good. The miso soup was ok and I would give it 4/5. The main course was mediocre (photos) compared to the price you pay for it. The maki sushi are the same as other restaurants but the larger dishes could be a bit cheaper in my opinion. That is why it gets 3 stars.

Ich finde das Essen gut. Die Preise haben nach einer Renovierung deutlich angezogen. Ein Glas Rotwein - es gibt nur eine Sorte - aus Italien 7,50. Das ist kein Schnäppchen aber noch ok. Preise für Sushi sind ok. Bei unserem ersten Besuch wurden wir kurz vor 22.00 Uhr rauskomplimentiert. Unser Nebentisch hatte gemütlich gegessen, da war auch mit viel Bitten kein kleines Absackergetränk mehr drin und so wurde ohne Vorwarnung die Rechnung serviert. Gut, beim zweiten Mal waren wir ja dann gewarnt und wussten, hier wird schon in der Woche um 22.00 geschlossen und man bekommt auch nicht kurz vorher Bescheid gesagt, wie woanders üblich. Gestern waren wir wieder da. Wieder einmal gähnende Leere trotz gutem Essen und guter Lage. Wir wollten dann kurz vor 21.30 direkt nach dem Essen ein zweites Getränk haben. Das wurde auch aufgenommen und uns dann verwehrt mit dem Hinweis, man schließe ja jetzt. Beim Rausgehen überprüfte ich die Öffnungszeiten. Sie sind bei 22.00 Uhr geblieben. Nach Rückfrage hieß es, es regne ja und daher schließe man früher. Also Kunden möchten die da offensichtlich nicht haben. Daher: Wenn ich schnell was essen will, gehe ich zum Imbiss, ansonsten zu einem Restaurant, wo ich mich willkommen fühle und nicht abgefertigt werde wie in einer schlechten Kantine.

The best sushi in Bonn (unless you want it to be a Michelin restaurant!) You get the best quality sashimi and not just the “standard” salmon/tuna makis, but really fantastic hamachi, unagi and hotategai! My husband and I enjoy coming here and ordering from time to time.

Had the vegetarian ramen. Unfortunately, the (meat) broth really wasn't my thing, it had an indefinable, strangely sour taste that I still had in my mouth half an hour after eating. The sushi is probably better, but I was disappointed with the ramen.

We had bowls, they were visually very appealing and tasty, the ambience was also very nice, but I have to deduct a lot for the service... No one asked if it tasted good, no one asked if they wanted anything else and even paying was difficult ... we would have to wait 15 minutes to hand over our money... 0 points and definitely not a cent tip, even though I come from the catering industry and always give something... very, very sad, but that wasn't possible .

Discovered by chance and loved it. There were three of us and we ordered 3 different dishes. Everything was very tasty and attractively presented. The staff is friendly, the atmosphere is pleasant. The only thing that is difficult is finding a parking space. We'll be back!

Sushi in a true Japanese atmosphere

We had actually ordered through Lieferando, but the delivery service couldn't provide a driver for an hour :-( and I then had to pick up the food on site. But it was worth it: super nice team, great atmosphere and really great sushi at home. Great restaurant, happy to be there next time ;-).

We went to Shinko's for the first time on a Saturday evening. We reserved a table, which was a good decision because the restaurant was busy. The service was attentive and generally okay. You should definitely bring some time with you as the dishes are all freshly prepared. The quality, appearance and taste of the food is exceptional, it's worth the wait. Shinko has to be one, if not the best sushi shop in Bonn and the surrounding area.

The food was really amazing, we both ordered ramen! In addition to take-away sushi. The ramen is very large and will definitely fill everyone up! Great waitress and a super nice place!!
