Ein echter Geheimtipp! Das Shawarma schmeckt einfach fantastisch – saftig, perfekt gewürzt und mit frischen Zutaten zubereitet. Auch die Falafel und die Saucen sind richtig lecker. Der Service ist super freundlich, man wird herzlich empfangen und fühlt sich sofort wohl. Das Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis ist top. Für mich ganz klar einer der besten Shawarma-Imbisse – ich komme immer wieder gerne. Absolute Empfehlung!

Das beste Shawarma in Götti, ganz sicher! War schon oft dort und wurde nie enttäuscht! Sehr leckerer Hummus, Fleisch und gute Zutaten ❤️

Ich komme eigentlich regelmäßig hierher und war bisher immer sehr zufrieden. Das Essen ist super lecker und die Mitarbeiter sind normalerweise immer freundlich und herzlich. Leider hatte ich heute, am 26.06.2026 nach dem Deutschland-Spiel, eine sehr enttäuschende Erfahrung. Nur weil ich darum gebeten habe, keine Gurken auf meiner Shawarma-Rolle zu haben, wurde ich respektlos und unfreundlich behandelt. So ein Verhalten gegenüber einem Kunden ist absolut nicht in Ordnung und hat mich wirklich überrascht. Ich hoffe, dass es sich dabei nur um einen Einzelfall gehandelt hat, denn das Essen ist nach wie vor sehr gut. Trotzdem sollte ein respektvoller Umgang mit den Kunden selbstverständlich sein.

Hallo, als wir den Laden betreten haben, wurden wir sehr unfreundlich empfangen. Der Mitarbeiter wirkte, als hätte er überhaupt keine Lust zu arbeiten. Wir haben Schawarma bestellt, wurden aber nicht einmal gefragt, wie wir es haben möchten. Während wir gesprochen haben, stellte er das Radio lauter, was auf uns sehr respektlos und arrogant wirkte. Auch die Zubereitung des Essens machte keinen guten Eindruck. Der Salat war teilweise braun und sah nicht mehr frisch aus. Das Schawarma selbst schmeckte bitter und war kaum essbar. Mein Mann musste sich kurze Zeit nach dem Essen sogar übergeben, obwohl wir die Mahlzeit nicht einmal aufgegessen haben. Am Ende mussten wir das Essen wegwerfen. Die vielen positiven Bewertungen können wir leider nicht nachvollziehen. Für uns war das eine sehr enttäuschende Erfahrung und wir werden nicht wiederkommen. Leider keine Empfehlung.

Leider war das Hähnchen-Shawarma ungenießbar und der Verkäufer unfreundlich. Dafür gibt es nicht mal einen Stern.

Vor Kurzem bin ich nach Hause gekommen, nachdem ich hier eine Shawarma mit doppelt Fleisch und doppelter Soße gegessen hatte. Und was ist passiert? Mir wurde plötzlich eiskalt, ich bekam Fieber, und dieses Fieber hielt fast sechs Tage am Stück an. Von Durchfall, Bauchschmerzen und dem ganzen Rest will ich gar nicht erst anfangen. Ich sage nicht, dass es hier nicht schmeckt – im Gegenteil, es schmeckt gut. Ich habe hier schon oft gegessen, zwar nicht ständig, aber immer mal wieder. Außerdem ist es nicht gerade günstig. Achtet aber darauf, wie mit den Lebensmitteln umgegangen wird. Schaut genau hin, ob dieselbe Person erst Geld annimmt und Wechselgeld herausgibt und danach direkt das Fleisch mit den Händen anfasst. Leute, so etwas kann jedem passieren. Euch allen einen schönen Tag!

Seit Ich gestern abend im Laden war und mir einen Shawarma arabi Teller zum mitnehmen bestellt habe geht es mir so schlecht wie noch nie! Ich hab höchstwahrscheinlich eine LEBENSMITTEL VERGIFTUNG durch das ALTE FLEISCH welches BENUTZT WURDE. Einfach ekelhaft!!!!!

Leider sehr enttäuschend. Wir mussten 45 Minuten auf eine Shawarmarolle und eine Falafelrolle warten. Allgemein sehr konzeptlos, keine Ausschilderung das man nur mit Bargeld zahlen kann und ohne das man in irgendeiner form bescheid gesagt bekommt oder gefragt wird was überhaupt an Salat etc. drauf soll. Das Essen war in Ordnung jedoch das ganze nicht wert. Nicht empfehlenswert.

Ich bin echt enttäuscht gewesen bei meinem letzen Besuch. Wenn man sich überlegt wie klein inzwischen diese Rolle ist für ganze 6.50€. Die Größe erinnert eher an einen cigar Börek als an einen shawarma. Die Füllmenge hat stark abgenommen und besteht zum Großteil aus Toum. Es schmeckt, aber ich finde es schon sehr frech ein shawarma anzubieten der zur Hälfte aus arabischen Brot besteht. Wenn man das mit grüner Libanon vergleicht wo man für 4.50€ einen deutlich größeren shawarma bekommt, verstehe ich nicht wie dieser Laden so beliebt sein kann. Schade das hier wegen Profit gier die Produktqualität abnimmt.

Was will man erwarten? Das Hähnchen war zu dick & trocken... Die Zubereitung ohne ÖL auf dem Grill! Und der Typ vergisst schnell was man möchte & bestellt hst... also alles falsch gemacht was man bei einem einfachen Arabi machen kann.......

Leckeres Essen zu guten Preisen, mit diversen vegetarischen und veganen Optionen. 👍🏻

Ich war in diesem arabischen Shawarma-Restaurant und war leider sehr enttäuscht. Das ohnehin dünne libanesische Brot wurde sogar noch halbiert, sodass es am Ende extrem dünn wie Papier war und für eine hungrige Person kaum ausreicht. Für diesen Shawarma habe ich 6,50 € bezahlt, was für diese kleine Portion wirklich übertrieben ist. Außerdem habe ich gebeten, ein kleines Stück Aubergine hinzuzufügen. Das Stück war jedoch sehr dünn geschnitten – so dünn, dass man fast durchsehen konnte – und es wirkte trocken und alt. Trotzdem wurden dafür zusätzlich 2 € berechnet. Ehrlich gesagt finde ich das nicht fair gegenüber den Kunden. Ein so kleines Stück Aubergine, das im Einkauf nur ein paar Cent kostet, für 2 € zu verkaufen, ist übertrieben. Bitte arbeitet ehrlicher und gebt den Kunden eine angemessene Portion für ihr Geld.

Wir haben über Uber Eats bestellt und nach etwa 35 Minuten unsere Lieferung erhalten. Leider fehlte eine Pizza. Nach einem Anruf im Restaurant wurde mir zugesichert, dass man mich innerhalb von fünf Minuten zurückrufen würde, um die Angelegenheit zu klären. Ein Rückruf erfolgte jedoch nicht. Ebenso wurde weder die fehlende Pizza nachgeliefert noch der entsprechende Betrag erstattet.

Ich war mal auf der Suche nach Shawarma, die so ähnlich wie bei meiner Heimat (Ukraine) wäre.. weil ich kein Fan von Döner bin... Und ich muss sagen es war nicht so groß wie bei uns aber richtig lecker! Wir haben noch dazu ein bisschen Pommes rein gefragt und es war sooo köstlich! Würde bestimmt empfehlen!

I was there the day before yesterday with two friends for a quick snack. The place itself isn't bad (small and cozy, fair prices, and the food was fine), BUT it's a complete mystery to me why we had to wait almost 25 minutes for our three blinds. Yes, sure, it was a bit busy, but on the one hand, one of the employees behind the counter seemed a bit overwhelmed, while on the other hand, his boss was apparently standing right next to him and... well, he seemed perfectly stable. He didn't seem to lift a finger during the entire time we were waiting around. I don't know about that. I used to work in the restaurant industry myself, and when it was busy, everyone was usually running around like crazy. Here, they're much more relaxed. Some of the regulars seem to be familiar with this routine; they bring books to read.

A little disappointed, good shawarma but really small and not very filling

I can't think of the right words to express how delicious the shawarma here is. It's also quite affordable, making it more worthwhile than any other restaurant in Göttingen 👍🏻

The best vegan doner kebab in town!

1. Caution to all vegans/vegetarians/allergic sufferers: The staff wears the same gloves for all work processes. They are never changed. Meat is placed on the food by hand and immediately reached into the side dish containers with the same hand. Tongs are needed for that! 2. Unfortunately, you can't pay by card. 3. The falafel roll and vegan roll were still quite tasty. But there are definitely better ones in Göttingen.

One of my favorite spots here in Göttingen! The fresh and delicious shawarma here at Shawarma Loca is among the best I've ever tasted. Tender and always fresh meat, friendly service, all ingredients and salads prepared fresh daily, and for a shawarma price of €6.50, you really can't beat it. The amount of chicken per roll is excellent. See picture. With the house-made pickles, garlic dip, and a dash of pomegranate syrup, it creates the perfect combination of one of the most delicious traditional dishes. I'm always happy to come here and highly recommend it – especially to non-meat food lovers! Thanks to falafel, halloumi, and the unique seitan skewer, every visitor will truly get their money's worth.

Very tasty We ordered two vegan dumplings and they were so delicious. The food was beautifully presented with extra hummus and vegetables on the plate. €6 per vegan dumpling and a Fritz lemonade.

Expired ayran, an hour's wait, no one even told us it might take a while, no one was ahead of us. Disaster.

I tried the vegan sandwich with seitan "meat" there – an absolute insider tip if you're not into meat. Very tasty, and the price/performance ratio is good. The new store design also puts the restaurant in the best possible light. I'd be happy to go back.

Great experience, the guys are very friendly and professional. Multiple gestures from them reflected their professionalism, for example, I saw them switching the Shawarma Rod to a new one, even though the old one was not 100% finished, but because many Shawarma enthusiasts know that the end of the rod always tastes stiffer and duller. So I was surprised to see them switching it up instead of skimming it until the end, even though they could have easily done the latter. If anything, I just wish the service time is a little bit faster, we waited ca. 20 minutes, but it's okay, it was a weekend.

After several kebabs with different sauces at different times and within about three weeks, I can only say you're my new go-to place for well-cooked meat in a flatbread. 👍 No matter when I was there, the meat was always freshly cut from the spit. Yes, dear "quick-quick students," you do have to wait a bit here, but it's worth it. The guys are all friendly and relaxed. I like that. What makes me very happy is that they finally have sumak here! Go to any other shop where you usually buy kebabs and ask for it. 😉 For me, currently one of the best kebabs in Göttingen. Small update: I've had Pizza Mista at Shawarma Loca a few times now. I can also recommend the pizza here. Sure, it's not a stone-baked pizza like the Italians, but I still like it. The crust is crispy, the dough is tasty, and passes the pizza slice test. Nothing bends downwards because the bottom is too soft from grease and other ingredients. That's how it should be. 👍 Best regards

I'm completely thrilled. Everything is perfectly seasoned, looks delicious, and IS EXTREMELY DELICIOUS. The food is worth every cent (I had the Makali Box and the vegan roll). The rice, potatoes, and eggplant were perfect. Simply amazing🔥🔥🔥🔥

I've been enjoying the vegan options here for years. The falafel roll never disappoints and is delicious :) However, the vegan seitan is really a tragedy because the deep fryer makes it crispy, just greasy :( It would be fabulous if the vegan kebab were grilled on a skewer!

Last year it was probably the best shop for a quick but good meal in Göttingen. However, a lot has changed in 2025. I completely understand that the kebab price was only increased to €6, but the additional reduction in size of the kebab really disappoints me. Previously, the kebab was lovingly refined with pomegranate seeds, rocket and other "special features", but now it is simply a below-average kebab. (No individual experience) I also think the apparent abolition of pizza day is a shame. €6 for a pizza of your choice was of course very reasonable, but this price could have simply been increased a little or the frequency of the offer day could have been reduced. Overall, I'm just very disappointed with the changes and have to say that I probably won't eat here again.

Food was ordered from uber eats, an hour late, I was waved off on the phone and told “Yes, yes, 5 more minutes”. When the food arrived it was cold.

I've been waiting for my food for almost 2 hours. I called an unbelievable 11 times Nobody answers!! What a shop!! If the Lord is right at the door, I won't accept anything. That's a disgrace - especially when you call and no one has answered for ages

People are so nice and food is so good! Update: New guy is extremely rude and unprofessional. Ordered vegan döner, got a wrap instead. Threw a tantrum when I told him it's not what I ordered. Threw the food in the garbage in front of me and made a scene. My boyfriend came 4 hours to visit me and this döner is usually a highlight of Göttingen, however this man ruined my experience. Won't be coming back for a while.

Very tasty, prices ok, lots of vegan choices.

The paradisiacal snack bar offers great little falafel dumplings, which I, as a critic, really enjoyed. I had a taste explosion, and a much bigger explosion a few hours later in my bathroom. The parts are huge, but unfortunately the small local doesn't have a toilet, which is why I had to damage my own toilet. However, a visit is recommended!

I’m sure it’s the best Shawarma in town! Everything was delicious and well-made. The quantity was very generous, the staff even offered us a falafel while waiting our order. Prices are also very reasonable (11€ for the shawarma meal appears im my photo).

I was there for the first time today and will definitely be back. My pizza was fantastic. To the point, perfect sharpness. The mood/atmosphere was extremely good. Extremely friendly team. If you want a kebab that has been drowned in sauce and has a thin strip of meat inside, this is the place for you. impertinence. Probably only rated so well because of all the eco-students who think that your dead-fried falafel covered in sauce is healthy. Never again.

Authentic snack bar with fast and very friendly service. By far the best kebab in Göttingen; the only one where you don't feel uncomfortable afterwards. Plus the cheapest!

I love this kebab. The seller is from Schwobalendlä or Heilbronn and reminds me of my homeland. The service is so polite and courteous I really enjoy coming here. I won't visit any other kebab in Göttingen again.

We waited 3 hours for our food. No one answered the phone in the store, so we couldn't even cancel the order. When the pizza arrived, one was wrong and another wasn't quite cooked. We would like our money back!

The best and most delicious food and wonderful service

Unfortunately I can only rate the food as I wasn't there myself. The shawarma was very tasty and the kids box was also very nice for small children. It definitely wasn't the last time!

We love going to shawarma often, but unfortunately neither the rolls nor the boxes have been filled to any extent for some time now. Today we had 3 half-full halloumi boxes and 2 very little filled rolls. Unfortunately, the last orders and pickups were all similar when it came to the dishes mentioned. It would be nice if they filled you up again like you did a year ago. Otherwise everyone is always very nice and warm. We therefore very much hope that this downward trend does not continue. :(

By far one of the best oriental restaurants I know and the best in Göttingen! The food is incredibly tasty and has that certain something extra. :) The staff is always very friendly and there is a little something free with every visit.

Ordered at 1:30 a.m. and delivered in 25 minutes and the food was a 10/10. It arrived super fresh and steaming hot when we opened the pizza boxes and the delivery service was super nice despite the time

Falafel is amazing! Shawarma wraps are really great as well. very limited seating, but that's kind of expected. Service is really really friendly. For example one time there was quite a lot of wait for shawarma because the spit was being set up; and they made and gave away freshly fried falafels to the waiting people.

It has little or nothing to do with shawarma, normal chicken like any other kebab shop around the corner. The taste was pretty much like that, you could eat it but I wouldn't buy it again. If it's shawarma, there's only one shop and it's in Hildesheim at Mr. Delicious, which sells original shawarma and other Arabic specialties. The store makes a rather unclean impression if you look at the floor and ceiling walls.

Nice little snack bar with super tasty and quick dishes. Everything is freshly prepared on site. I particularly liked the pizza and its super thin base and loose edges. The prices are not only pleasantly low, but there are also discounts from time to time. The whole thing is then wonderfully rounded off by the cozy atmosphere and the extremely friendly staff.
