Shamrock Irish Bar & Restaurant in Dresden

If you like the classic Irish pumps, this is your place. I liked a lot the atmosphere, the service, the TV showing football while drinking beer. I didn't try the food.

We had a wonderful time once again. We had the lamb shepherd's mince covered with cheese, and a fish and chips. Delicious ! Really very very good. There is plenty to choose from on the menu! And special mention for their whiskey. They have a 4-page menu of mainly Irish whiskey, but also a significant choice of Scottish whiskey which is my preference. The atmosphere was great! Typical Irish pub. The typical decor too, I really liked. I felt very good. Very comfortable. Very cool server too. Establishment where you absolutely must go!!

Good atmosphere, selection of draft beers and good food. If you don't want to eat, that's not an issue, just go in and enjoy a few good ales, great.

Service was great and the atmosphere too. However, I find it a bit too expensive. 7€ for a Guinness, I wouldn't pay that even in Munich.

I went here twice for lunch as part of my Dresden vacation. Both times the staff was very friendly and hard at work. The ambience is exactly to my taste, the prices are reasonable and the food was delicious!

Quaint restaurant, furnished like a pub. Very good food and delicious beer. A variety of whiskeys are also offered here. You should reserve a table to be sure of getting a seat.

It was extremely stuffy in the bar, so a few of us had to turn back straight away. Because you weren't allowed to sit outside after 10 p.m., we had no other option than to go inside. Something should definitely be done about the ventilation and typical drinks like Irish Flag should also be known and not a "Huh, what?" Evoke when asked.

Everything was fine. The food is very delicious, the Guinness beer is the best in the world and the service is very nice, precise, accurate and fast! I can highly recommend it.

We were there for lunch with a large group of men and the waitress was probably having a bad day. The food and drink is very good, the atmosphere outside on the street is not that great. It should be much better inside in the evening.

A nice bar. I went to watch F1. I ordered hot chocolate. The television was on, but there was no sound. When I asked if they could turn up the sound, they said "unfortunately there is no sound". But then another waiter turned up the volume himself. I didn't understand why he said that to me. There was no problem, but we had to watch the beginning of the race silently. Hot chocolate was very nice. It cost around 4 euros.

Unfortunately our visit wasn't as nice as expected. We chose this restaurant because of the mostly good reviews. My wife had a small casserole and I had the Garlic Rump Steak. After dinner we should go to the Boulevard Theater. Already on the way there I had cramps in my stomach. When the performance was just 5 minutes old, I had to leave the venue suddenly. Severe stomach cramps, sweats and nausea caused my circulation to collapse. After half an hour on the toilet with diarrhea and vomiting, the color slowly came back to my face. Thanks to the employees at the Boulevard Theater who took great care of me. We then went back to the hotel with weak knees. Since I had no further complaints afterward, it could only have been because of the food in this restaurant. This was definitely the last visit for us…

Seasoned meat was made with canned mushrooms, small meat with cartilage and small pieces of bone, hardly seasoned and with a pudding-like roux, plus an approx. 1 cm thick layer of gratinated cheese, which was very difficult to enjoy. I only ate the cheese layer and returned the rest. The service man's comment: "That's how they like it and eat it like that here." As is almost always the guest's fault...

Old Shamrock was cozier. Still worth a visit.

Very good food, delicious cider, also different types of beer, with lots of seating on the street (when the weather is good) and of course inside, there even with football TVs (e.g. for the Champignons League). Right in the center of Dresden, always worth a visit.

Delicious irish stew! That's nice they have beer testers, so you can try three of different beers.

Really good Irish pub centrally located. You always somehow get a seat and there is an extensive menu. I tried the mix of Pilsner and Guinness there for the first time. I can't recommend it, but I definitely recommend the store. You can also sit outside and the toilet has a drain ;)

An atmospheric place with football curiosities...

We like going to the pub. Good food and drinks menu. There is live music on the weekend and you can also watch sports. Staff is nice. On weekends it is better to make a reservation in the evening as the pub is very popular. There is also a children's menu for the little ones.

Shown when you search for sports bars in Dresden. But you certainly can't say that. Bundesliga conference was shown, but without sound. After that, the 6:30 p.m. game wasn't shown at all, probably because of the band, who couldn't be seen anywhere. And even if it was running at midday without sound, it could have been done with a tape. Location is good and maybe a really cool bar but not if you want to watch football

Cozy location. At least outside. Because that's where I sat in today's very nice weather. The staff super friendly. The beer and food came very quickly. Unfortunately the burger was very dry. Little sauce, the patty was rubbery and the bun was very dry and brittle. There was no dressing on the side salad. The potatoes were great. All in all, very, very unfortunate.

Outside you are initially ignored, then things go relatively normally.

Authentic London pub atmosphere

Delicious food 🤤, especially the citizens and the typical Irish dishes are recommended. Due to the authentic atmosphere 😍 and very good service, the only thing missing is the sea air and the Irish language 🏝

Burgers and fish & chips were delicious. Full and loud. Beer tasted delicious but cocktails weren't special!

Unfortunately I have to make deductions for the food. I think schnitzel TK molded schnitzel is a real shame at 23 euros. But the staff and the atmosphere made up for it. Cocktails but very tasty.

Very authentic Irish pub that is in no way inferior to the pubs in Dublin! Were very enthusiastic about the atmosphere. I have no idea if there is live music played here in the evenings, but that would be the icing on the cake. Food was delicious and beer was cold. I would like to come back again when I am nearby. The staff was super attentive!

Maybe normal in an Irish pub, but the live music was extremely loud. You couldn't have a conversation. So it was just a beer.

We stopped off here for a quick drink one afternoon, sitting out the front watching the world go by. The inside is a great looking bar and goes back a long way, would be nice in the evenings.

A bit expensive but very nice ambience and unusual beer.

Highly recommend eating burgers and Hope House

Irish pub is actually always good. But this one was great because of the size and decoration. Sat here to watch the European Championships. The service was enthusiastic and friendly. The beers were delivered quickly, so we had a nice evening. It is possible to create your own small tasting, where you can choose 3 beers from a specific list.

I liked going to Shamrock, nice atmosphere and delicious food up to a certain point, but if you order a schnitzel with spicy meat for 23 Eus and then don't get full because it's also become smaller, everything used to be a rip-off of the guest 👎. Sorry

Location is great, service is very friendly, then it's very far from the truth, the food is more like underground, the fish is covered in a thick coat of fat and forgotten in the deep fryer, the "fries" were underground, the taste is pure fat on the palate, but that's not the case Third-class fasfood is a feast. Plus a completely exorbitant price. An absolute no-go restaurant!!! Really not recommended.

Fish and chips - absolutely awful. Fish tasted of mould. Shame as the service was good.

Fish and chips was bang on like the last time I was there. Shame they don't serve mushy peas and tartar sauce with it to really cap it off perfectly. Oh well, hopefully the owner will read this and have a think about it 😁

I dont know how about the food but the dark beers are excellent, rich in flavor, and smooth. The staff is friendly and helpful. It's a perfect spot to relax with friends and enjoy a good drink.

It was delicious. We had fish and chips and a stew. Unfortunately it took almost an hour for the food to arrive.

Great location. We were there spontaneously. Even though it was packed, a cool guy got us a little place. The food my husband had (fish & chips) wasn't that great (we got a small compensation) the cottage pie was great. Otherwise I felt like I was transported back to Dublin: typical pub with live music. We wanted to go there again on St. Patrick's Day. But it's so popular that it was even more crowded. And again they wanted to find us a place. But then it was too full for me.

Nice pub and great for watching football. Prices are a bit high but that is also due to the location. With a pitcher you can sometimes save less than a euro compared to ordering the same amount individually.

Not the best Guinness of my life, although it’s not very clear why people drink Guinness in Germany. I still don’t understand why a singer/musician should perform during a broadcast of a Euro match (or why football should be shown during a musician’s performance): one obviously interferes with the other.

I think it's a shame that the catering industry has to resort to offering public viewing everywhere to attract guests. But otherwise I thought it was okay to sit outside. Unfortunately, I wasn't that happy with my meal. I had fish & chips which was okay in itself but the dish lacked pizzazz. The batter was completely tasteless and too much, it was extremely heavy after batter and you could hardly taste the fish. In terms of spice, it was too bland, whereas my partner's curry was very tasty. Overall, a fresh tartar sauce is probably missing here with the fish & chips. Otherwise it was very pleasant to sit there.

Irish pub or sports bar? I, who have already been to Ireland and been to many Irish pubs in Switzerland and Bawü, have to say that I was extremely negative about the fact that there were 10000000 monitors and screens hanging in the pub and broadcasting football very loudly, which was very unpleasant, and I prefer music Would have had for a better ambience. I also found the prices for the food to be too high and not appropriate as it was not of excellent organic quality. Another negative thing that was noticed was that the staff was extremely unfriendly.

The pub is in a convenient location just off the main road making it easily accessible. Unfortunately, the service is only mediocre, which somewhat spoils the overall impression. You can tell that there is potential for improvement here, but some areas need to be improved in order to offer a truly convincing experience. Overall, an average visit, but one that certainly leaves room for improvement.

I had really good German food over here. Look at the 'Sommer special' and take a warmen apfelstrudel as dessert. Furthermore, service was really good and while I alone was, I could take a table for 4 and when I left to the toilet, they put an 'reserviert' at the table. A good extra: price is good and you can watch football over here. Inside and outside.

Would not recomend to anyone. Weve been waiting for exactly 40 minutes to get the order. Then we realized that the staff does not even care about us. The worst experience we had in Dresden. DO NOT GO THERE. ugh!!!!!!!!🤢🤮

Good pub in a great location. Good service and atmosphere.

Waited 18 (!) minutes on a Sunday until a waitress in the outside area finally took pity on us. Up until then, your colleague had ignored us several times. Was it because of her long hair that she didn't see us? Our polite request to clean the stuck table was responded to with a slightly damp wipe over it. Result after drying is zero. At least the beer and KiBa were delicious, even if in the end it turned out that the outside of the beer glass was also dirty with dried traces of beer. It's a shame, Irish pubs are always worth a visit. Here, however, the overall impression was one of complete disappointment.

Expensive, and bad service. We were moved to a different table (which was fine), but then they brought our order to the wrong table, and complained to us about this. Service was also slow in general. Reply to the response from the owner: You asked us to change tables, so I didn't think we had to inform your waitress of the table change. We were also sitting right next to the original table, and if we had seen her with our drinks, we would have told her. If she actually tried to deliver the drinks, but wasn't able to see us sitting 1 meter to the left, then that's not our fault. She never even saw us we had to call for her attention when we eventually did see her, to ask about our order. So yes, let's get this correct. You made a mistake. It happens. Try to learn from it instead of blaming your customers.

The pub is very popular. The beer is delicious. The food too. The price is reasonable. The service is good. Worth a visit.

Would have liked to eat something and drink a Guinness. Unfortunately we didn't get a seat, even though there was a table available. Unfortunately this table was not covered. When we asked politely, the staff told us that they didn't have time to clean this table. Service desert Germany. Hence 0 stars Really sad Unfortunately

The bar was good but the food was only okay. There was a lot of smokers outside so if you get disturbed by it it's better to sit inside.

The two of us were sitting inside on a Tuesday evening in June 2024. Nice, rustic, “typically” Irish pub. I haven't been to an Irish pub for a while, but I find the beer prices here at just under 5 euros for 0.3 liters of Guinness etc. to be extremely borderline. If you don't want to drink a lot, but just want to enjoy one or two beers, you're in good hands here. We only studied the menu, but the even higher prices here put us off eating.
