Serways Raststätte Lappwald in Helmstedt

Good rest area, somewhat outdated, everything clean. The toilets are easily accessible for severely disabled people via a hidden elevator. Sanitary facilities well maintained and clean.

The rest area is clearly showing its age. It definitely needs a renovation. Food offering very limited.

Super nice staff. And surprisingly delicious vegan falafel box. Gladly again.

The sign for the broken coffee machine is still there today. You don't need to take any new pictures, everything stays the same. There are only 2 weeks in between. Close the store and find another job.

Since it was not possible to take exit 64 Alleringsleben on September 11th due to a construction site, even though the signs had not been deactivated 5 km beforehand, we continued on to the Lappwald rest stop. Here, both the gas station and toilet facilities were not in operation without prior notice on the motorway. What idiots send drivers to a rest stop that isn't open???

The staff makes a great effort, even if they are clearly understaffed. The waiting time is sometimes shorter than in other McDonald's branches where there are more employees.

A truly exciting rest stop and the 5th that we have stopped at within the last hour as all the previous ones were in an even more dismal condition. Nothing works, the trash can is burning and strong-smelling smoke is taking over the entire rest area. No one cares, not even after being asked twice to put it out. Never seen such a slow McDonalds. Just WOW.

I stopped by to take a shower and was pleasantly surprised by the cleanliness of the shower. Kudos for the maintenance.

Can you take a break on a long journey?

The rest area is a bit confusing. We were looking for a McDonald's to grab breakfast on the way back from a concert. Unfortunately, the McDonald's there is very small, which is why they don't offer breakfast. Since the actual rest stop is at the other end of the area, we decided to just order burgers. Unfortunately, not all burgers are available there due to the size of the restaurant. However, the employees are very friendly and helpful.

Men's sanitary facility was really very unclean, I don't have any pictures but it was very dirty, as the forest would have been more hygienic, the shower was okay but I got athlete's foot and no, it didn't come from somewhere else

The toilets were ok. The service was subpar. Coffee crashed-iced was no longer available, “ingredients were not delivered.” But the same thing with ice cubes worked. They were probably just too lazy to clean the machine. Fries and schnitzel “were closed”. Sunday afternoon in holiday traffic. Skilled labor shortages and cost pressures are getting worse...

Lots of rubbish in the area, toilets (men's) only one urinal in use. Overall quite dingy.

Generally clean rest area. However, it seems really strange when the toilet cleaner is on duty cursing and complaining the whole time.

Worst McDonalds i ever had, long service time, burgers looked like been punched couple times before serving.

Well, it was around 2 p.m. and we actually wanted to eat something You shouldn't believe it, 1 bockwurst for 4 people. We warmed up 3 more in the microwave, but I think they would have tasted better cold. In addition, the service was all alone, although nice, just doesn't work

The restaurant is only partially operational. McDonald's and Coffee Fellows are in operation. The toilet is clean, but smells very much of chlorine.

Toilets were clean, quality of the refreshments was good, outdoor seating was OK. Overall the location feels a bit dated. The restaurant seems to be used as a regular stop for travel buses, so it can be busy at times.

We are very disappointed. In Berlin the bagel is freshly prepared. Toast the bagel first and then fresh lettuce, cucumber and tomatoes on top. What you get here is the last filth... Finished with lettuce and roasted cucumber... Completely dry and disgusting... Complaint not accepted!!! Save your money.

First of all: the toilets are clean. You pay 1 euro per person (as of July 7, 2024) to use the toilet and receive a voucher that you can use for shopping or consumption on site. Only one voucher is valid per product. This means that all products are overpriced by at least one euro. 😂 But no problem. After all, you can do your business in a civilized manner. I just noticed that the place inside and outside the building was completely filthy. So unless you absolutely have to go to the toilet, I don't recommend this rest stop to anyone. The staff was also very annoyed because every customer wants to exchange all Serways vouchers for one product and this is not allowed according to the terms and conditions. Corresponding notices for this fact will be ignored. I didn't see it either because the notice was half-hidden. Poor employees. Devaluation from 3 to 1 stars: The cooling system failed. There are also products such as milk on the shelf here that need to be permanently cooled and were all warm. A no-go!!!

We were just there as a group (06/02/24, 8:30 p.m.) It was half past eight and the McDonald's employees were already tired because there was so much demand. When I arrived at the terminal, the cashier came and put a chain behind me and said: "You're the last one, after that it's time for work!" When the employee noticed that more and more customers were coming in, he immediately locked all the doors, even though there were still customers waiting for their food outside. After we received our order and checked it, we were immediately asked to leave. It was now five to nine, after which the side door was completely closed, even though there were still customers downstairs in the toilet. Aside from the staff not being very friendly, none of our eight drinks were carbonated. We couldn't complain anymore. The cleanliness left something to be desired both outside and inside. The toilets were also a complete disaster, especially since the customers also pay money for them. If I could, I wouldn't give a star at all.

One star is already too many!!! That was the last hole! Opening times only until 9 p.m. and the employees close at half past 9!!! Super unfriendly, were insulted. Incredibly dirty whether outside or inside. Not to mention the toilets. At 8:00 p.m. there was no coffee or anything. The serways employee had already counted the cash register. One customer is thrown a snickers with the slogan for a little hunger. This in a perverse tone. Told other customers too. With the golden M it wasn't any better - you were bumped into. Last order must be placed at 8:35 p.m.! Then everything will be sealed off. After that, people were trapped. An employee from M then happily helped himself to the fries (keep fries warm) or shoveled everything in. AWESOME!

Just a rest stop, unfortunately the building is a bit "worn". McD was ok, toilets good.

Serways coupons are NOT accepted by other toilet facilities! Not even from the same day! This shows the dubious machinations of Germany's largest illegal operation (antitrust violation). This system was created here in an absolute gray area using all possible tricks. Dont eat that!

I was at the rest stop yesterday at 8:45 p.m. and lo and behold, it was already closed (opening times 7:00 a.m. - 9:00 p.m. according to the notice)🤔 The employees were already cleaning and the lights were completely turned off just 5 minutes later. That's called customer service 😤

Totally ok. Toilets clean. Coffee is always delicious when you stop there.

We were just at the McDonalds at the rest stop with a school group. The staff at the checkout were unfriendly and annoyed and some of the food was oversalted. With all understanding for the workload: It had nothing to do with customer friendliness, especially if you think you have to critically note that there wouldn't have been so many trips when you were at school. Such a shame after a 5 hour bus ride.

A clean place. Prices quite high.

Typical highway gas station. Divided into sectors. Gas station, shop, restaurant. 3 positions for TIR sets 6 parking spaces for passenger cars. There is a parking lot for trucks next to it. Fuel prices are high.

Good toilet services, shower in the restaurant space where there is also a MC Donald's!!! shower 4 euros and toilet for 1 euro!!!

I only took a short break in the car here and didn't see much of the rest area, but so far everything was OK

The rest area is a bit old. It is difficult to get to the toilet with a walker. Impossible with a wheelchair. Therefore two points deducted.

Chic rest stop. There is even a small McDonald's branch there. All the employees are very nice and accommodating. Rooms are very large, with lots of space and everything is very clean.

A bit dirty but everything you need there for a normal price

Bratwurst/Currywurst is the worst I've eaten in years. This is not because of the staff, but because of the poor quality of the sausage. The curry sauce is also too sweet... Simply not edible! Toilets are clean and in order, and you also get the full amount back as a voucher.

Toilets were unkempt, full trash cans and there was a lot of paper on the floor, the bockwurst was only lukewarm and tasteless

Now, at 8:50 p.m., I'm standing in the pouring rain in front of the rest stop, which is supposedly open 24 hours a day, with LOCKED DOORS!?!?!? Not even the side door is open which would allow access to the Sani "fair" toilets, which are subject to a charge. This is absolutely disgraceful and that given the unscrupulously high prices the customers otherwise get so much fuel and rest. Addendum: I've just walked about 1km in absolute darkness, all the lanterns are out, up to the gas station so that I can go to the toilet at Sani "fair" for a fee, soaked in the rain.

So disappointed, it was very sad what had become of the otherwise always full rest stop after the fall of the Wall.

A motorway service station like any other.

The building consists of three catering outlets. Little MC Donald, no full menu. But served warm. Cafe with hot and cold drinks and sandwiches. Good coffee and plant milk to choose from. Unfortunately, the hot food buffet was closed. Small playground, toilets.

It was still closed at 8am so I couldn't shower or go to the toilet very disappointing.

Good thing there's McDonald's there! Otherwise there was nothing nice to eat

I am completely satisfied with the parking and the service of the Serways network, a great clean shower for 4 euros and a toilet for 1 euro, delicious food in the restaurant and a good attitude of the employees (very nice)! There is free access to the water tap at the second column at the gas station. Thank you to those people , which make this world a little bit better.

A typical restaurant on the highway. Average selection of dishes, but if you're hungry, you'll always find something.

Gibt schönere Raststätten. Wollte erst etwas zu essen kaufen, sah aber nicht so gut aus. Lange warmgehalten, viel zu teuer

Parking jak wiele innych w Niemczech, ten dodatkowo jest nie oświetlony.

Sauberkeit lässt zu wünschen übrig Toiletten modern aber schmutzig

Wir wollten nur auf Toilette , Füllstoffe wollten wir nicht zu uns nehmen , es ist für jeden etwas da . Wer es mag okay

Die Toiletten müssten mal mehr sauber gemacht werden, auch beim wickelraum war es nicht grad angenehm, mit Kleinkind etwas zu unsauber.

Auf den Weg zur Nordsee ist die Raststätte ständiger Halt. Bin immer wieder zufrieden hier. Macht weiter so.

McD wie immer, aber extrem wenig Sitzgelegenheiten. Besser nur mitnehmen.

Die Raststätte hat einen McDonalds Schalter und einen, der Brötchen und Snacks anbietet. Ab einer bestimmten Zeit werden hier auch Fast Food Gerichte verkauft. Das war aber um 12:15 Uhr noch nicht der Fall, weshalb ich beim Mäces ein Smart Menü am Bestellautomaten geordert habe. Das Essen vom Mäces trifft leider nicht meinen Geschmack. Während ich auf das Essen gewartet habe machte dann auch das Restaurant auf. Da ich vom Mäces nicht satt war, habe ich da noch eine Frikadelle für 4,99 Euro gekauft. Die war lecker. Ansonsten gibt es eine saubere, moderne Toilette und eine große Auswakl an Getränken.

Schade , war sehr enttäuscht . Die Ladestation mit rotem Absperrband außer Gefecht gesetzt, keine Info auf eine Nachfrage am Tankshop. Ob wir so den Trend für E Mobilität hinbekommen?

Klein aber fein.! Sitzmöglichkeiten drinnen und draußen. Toiletten waren sauber ,super hygienisch und neu. Die ganze Anlage ob drinnen oder draußen war sauber.

Saubere Raststätte mit MC Donalds, Shop und zusätzlichem Servicebereich mit belegten Brötchen etc. Sehr große Auswahl an Kaffeespezialitäten.

Sehr niedriges Niveau, ebenso wie das Angbot. Es gibt bessere Raststätten

Es gibt wesentlich schlimmere Rastplätze.

Super nette Bedienung. Leider war das Veggimenü alle - zum Glück gabs was beim ansässigen Mc Donalds. Schön, dass es einen Außen- und einen Innenspielplatz gibt, auch wenn beide recht klein sind.
