Hopelessly overwhelmed staff, they don't understand the concept, they have to turn to guests. Wait, wait, wait... for warmed up soup. The second star for the beautiful ambience.

Great 'hut' with Bavarian flair. Everything was developed and furnished with a lot of love and taste. A feast for the eyes indoors and outdoors! Extensive, varied terrace and beer garden area. Invites you to linger and enjoy. Even if it's just for a wheat beer ;) Inside, furs on the comfortable chairs and armchairs as well as a fireplace give the house a special flair. The climb on foot is also worth seeing and experiencing... Even if you drive up by car. Addition: The cherry almond cake (with vanilla pudding) is the burner 👌🏼 .. Add a delicious cappuccino and life is fine 😎

Beautifully located mountain hut, good selection of food and drinks, the only drawback is that there is a lot going on, the service can't keep up with self-service and there were no menus available... Still very cozy and beautiful. We'll be back.

@Daniel Bekemeier. I was in the dairy farm myself with my family (three children and a dog). The only guests who were shouting that day were you, your wife and your child. Not only that, you even asked other guests to leave the Sennhütte immediately and to give the Sennhütte a bad rating. What kind of behavior is this! Mutual respect and caution are considered a basic right for everyone. Once they had left, all the other guests were able to enjoy the harmony of the Sennhütte.

There are large pieces of cake, nice service and a great ambience. Clean toilets, the atmosphere is very inviting, inside and outside. Nice to linger while hiking, there is also free parking.

A hike from Bad Pyrmont to the Sennhütte is highly recommended. The hut is hip and rustic. You have to stay there and enjoy. A joy!

We were thrown out with a crying baby. Our 15 week old son cried during our stay. Unfortunately, my wife couldn't get up immediately and calm the little one down because she was looking after our dogs at the table. Plus we would have lost our table if she had walked out. I had been waiting in line to order for 20 minutes at that time, so I couldn't take the baby or dogs from her. Then a woman behind the counter yelled at my wife that we should leave the store because the little one was too loud. She “couldn’t concentrate with the crying baby.” At this point he had been crying for about three (!!!) minutes. As we left the store, she loudly advised us in front of all the guests that she had also raised two children and then we just had to move around a bit. Especially since my wife, when she doesn't have to hold two dogs at the table, is the first to do everything to calm the little one. Of course, it makes you uncomfortable when your child screams in the company of other people and you naturally try to stop it immediately, so the exposure and lecturing in front of the other guests was absolutely unnecessary, invasive and toxic. The behavior is outrageous and we can therefore only advise anyone with children to avoid this shop. I think it is extremely questionable to treat children and parents in this way in our society. A society or person who is unable to endure 3 minutes of baby crying has big problems. In my opinion, someone who has such an attitude should not work in an industry that is based on customer friendliness and hospitality. My wife is now standing outside the car and is close to tears. Other guests also left when they noticed this action and told us in the parking lot that something like that from the hostess was completely wrong.

What an amazing place! We were there for a delicious South Tyrolean breakfast. A great selection of treats, just like you're on vacation. A reservation is necessary for this. The outdoor area invites you to linger after a beautiful hike in the area around the Sennhütte. The selection of cakes is also great. Current information can be found on Instagram, for example, about opening times and promotions. A visit is definitely recommended 👍

The journey is an adventure. It took us three tries until we found the border route. The restaurant is clean inside, as are the toilets. We had spinach dumplings and goulash stew. The spinach dumplings were very tasty, the goulash stew was okay, the Bavarian roll that came with it was sticky and probably not from today. But the most annoying thing was the waiting time of over 50 minutes. All in all we paid €32.60 including a small amount of water and 0.5l of beer.

Self-service 😏. Soup and cake ok. Small menu. Excursion destination for hikers and motorcyclists. Long drive, narrow road (one-way street) through fields and forest. Was an experience.

Wir waren echt begeistert von dieser Super-Küche mitten im Wald. Die Speisen waren einzigartig köstlich und mit viel Liebe zum Detail gekocht. Hier gab es kein TK, sondern es war alles aus eigener Produktion frisch zubereitet und auf den Punkt gegart. Sowohl die Spinatknödel als auch die Bergknödel waren fluffig und lecker (wie in Südtirol) Das Fleisch war butterzart und einzigartig lecker. Ganz großes Kino! Wir waren zweimal zum Mittagessen. Auch der Frühstücksbrunch überzeugte mit selbstzubereiteten Salaten, Marmeladen und südtiroler Schmankerl (Tolle Käse- und Schinkenauswahl). Dass es sich um eine Selbstbedienungslokal handelt war überraschend. Wahrscheinlich eine Personalfrage in heutiger Zeit. Aber so wurden auch die Preise moderat gehalten. Insofern störte dies nicht. Wir danken den Wirtsleuten für diese kulinarischen Höhepunkte. Alles Gute und bleiben Sie gesund. Wir wünschen immer zufriedene Gäste, die Ihre Mühen zhu schätzen wissen. Wonderful location. I have never seen a “hiking hut” like this before, so fancy and carefully designed. In my opinion, it's a real feel-good place with lots of details that make you want to linger there. There are a variety of different seating and relaxation areas. Everything seems very high quality and well thought out. I ate cake, it was excellent. The breakfast buffet offered that day looked excellent. The staff was friendly and approachable. I don't think it could be better.

Retreat on July 13, 24 Four of us took a break here during a hike. Saturday around 1:30 p.m. there wasn't much going on. We sat comfortably outside and ate an excellent goulash soup. We were also served a really good, thick slice of bread. Recommended! It's a shame we couldn't eat some of the tempting cakes too. The sanitary facilities were also great.

Wir haben zu viert während einer Wanderung hier Rast gemacht. Samstag gegen 13:30 Uhr war nicht viel los. Wir haben gemütlich draußen gesessen und eine ausgezeichnete Gulaschsuppe gegessen. Dazu wurde uns eine richtig gute und dicke Brotscheibe gereicht. Empfehlenswert! Schade, dass wir nicht auch noch etwas von den verlockenden Torten essen konnten. Auch die sanitären Anlagen waren top.

Shortly before 12 p.m. you are sent away because you have to take a break to clean up. Accordingly, it was a very friendly ejection without any indication of the time. Money is made too well here and you no longer need it 😉

The beautiful little hike from Bad Pyrmont to the Sennhütte is rewarded with a great ambience in this excursion restaurant. During the week there are little things like sausages and cakes, for example, and there is a barbecue there at the weekend. However, you shouldn't get there too late, as the grilled food sells out relatively quickly. It's best to check the opening times beforehand. Unfortunately it was closed Mon-Wed, the other days it was open from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.

I can't use the food because we only had drinks. But the ambience is unbeatable. Unfortunately you have to get your own drinks.

A beautiful place. Everyone who visits Bad Pyrmont has to come here. I can recommend walking, driving by car is also a good experience.

We were there on Sunday lunchtime after a hike. The ambience is beautiful, but apart from a bratwurst grill there was nothing to eat, not even a snack plate or anything similar. Apparently there are no menus, and there are no prices on the cakes, as stated only from 1 p.m. I would have liked to know when you could come to this restaurant for regular meals, I was told rather rudely that the breakfast buffet was now being cleaned up and I should have asked from 1 p.m. or looked on the Internet. So after 1 p.m. nothing except bratwurst and I can't figure out which days the restaurant is open. It all looked so idyllic, but for me it's not a restaurant in the usual sense. More like a film set. If you're looking forward to a delicious lunch or a snack here, you've unfortunately lost out. And a non-existent menu, not even a drinks menu, is a no go. Oh, there was still a sign hanging there, already thinking about Christmas, what about it???? If everything had been communicated in a friendly manner, it would be okay, but today's visit leaves a bad aftertaste. At the neighboring table outside, as we were having a drink, I heard people say that this would have been a real restaurant a few years ago. But probably not anymore. What a shame.

We were here for breakfast on Sunday. The buffet was really very varied and also very lovingly prepared and it tasted delicious. After breakfast we stayed outside next to the alpine hut and had a drink or two. The outdoor area is very lovingly designed and maintained and simply invites you to linger. A really recommended place to relax. Please be sure to receive it.

Great restaurant, it's always worth going there or spending time outside in the garden. On Sundays the breakfast buffet is excellent.

We were guests in the Sennhütte for the first time on July 27th, 2024. Our lunch consisted of the goulash stew, the spinach dumplings and the mountaineer steak. All dishes were super tasty, a real culinary delight!!! 10 out of 10! We are already looking forward to the next visit.

Very nice little place to stay and eat delicious food. Very nice boss and service. The in-house mascot is also very sweet 😍 (Bernese mountain dog) Unfortunately there is a 1 star deduction because there is no service at the table for personnel reasons.

I can only judge the ambience and it's really good. I was unlucky that the dairyman's hut was closed. I hadn't googled it before. I can only report on my visits in October 2022. I was very satisfied with that.

Wonderful restaurant in a great location in the forest. It's not just the ambience that's worth the full 5 stars! Both service and cuisine are really perfect. What was created here is really great. A very clear recommendation from my side. If you visit Bad Pyrmont, you should definitely take a hike here. Despite the (really acceptable) waiting times due to the high number of guests (which actually only speaks for itself😉), it's worth the visit. I also think it's great that holidays etc. are always announced well in advance on the website and on social media, just great! Best regards to the Sennhütte team

The Sennhütte is a nice excursion destination. The outdoor area has plenty of seating. The interior has a nice ambience. Exclusively self-service, therefore only 3 points for the service. During the week there is only cake, no warm food. The cake was delicious.

It was very nice here, the food was very tasty. The dive bar tower is also great.

On a sunny Sunday today it was of course very full in the hut. A really fantastic location and also lovingly furnished in a modern and cozy way! A wonderful view and a beautiful outdoor terrace. Actually the best conditions! Nowadays, it is well known that many restaurateurs are suffering from a lack of staff, but then I may only be able to open part of the café in order to at least adequately serve the guests there. The self-service isn't the problem, even if it's not nice (you actually just want to rest and be served after the hike...), nobody paid us any attention when we came in, despite a reservation! Apart from a board at the entrance, there are no menus in the restaurant - by 2 p.m. there was almost no hearty food left and everything was sold out. The gooseberry cake could not be refilled because, according to the waiter, there was no time to get another one. The whole loving atmosphere was completely destroyed by a lack of service/warmth! A pity!

Die Sennhütte in Bad Pyrmont bietet ein wundervolles Erlebnis für alle Sinne. Hoch oben gelegen, punktet das Restaurant mit einer atemberaubenden Aussicht und einer gemütlichen Atmosphäre. Der hausgemachte Kuchen ist ein absolutes Highlight, besonders die blaubeerkuchen ist ein Muss. Der Kaffee ist hervorragend und das Personal freundlich und aufmerksam. Die idyllische Lage und die kulinarischen Köstlichkeiten machen die Sennhütte zu einem perfekten Ziel für einen entspannten Ausflug.

What a beautiful place in the middle of the forest on top of the hills. Great as a starting point for various walks in these woods. Self-service restaurant where you can also come with your dog. Outside on a bench, a delicious cup of German coffee with a bretzel😋. Unfortunately, bad weather arrived. So we will definitely come back again to try out the hiking and the wild gulash. We did our desired walk a day later. Beautiful route, only the last part was quite difficult. But as a reward we ate gulasheintopf and a delicious beer.

Too crowded, even in rainy weather. After 2 minutes the employee said we should please order. There is no half of the card. Everything too expensive. Self-service. Potato wedges only in combination with beef fillet, even though they are on the menu individually.

We went to the restaurant today for a piece of cake and a drink. Very nicely decorated and the cake was delicious. There is also a nice outdoor area. But unfortunately the owner is so unfriendly that we won't come back a second time. Ordering and payment takes place at the counter. During our stay, the owners' large (but very sweet and calm) dog ran around the restaurant. At the next table, a guest said that he would like to pay, but didn't dare go to the counter because he was afraid of the dog. The owner just said harshly “he doesn’t do anything” and that was the end of the matter for her. After the other guests left, only our table was occupied by 8 people. We were talking at room volume and laughing when the owner snorted at us to please be quieter because she couldn't understand anything on the phone. The phone was wireless, so she could have gone into the next room instead of complaining to her guests. There were no smiles both when greeting us and when saying goodbye. You can also see from the owners' responses to negative reviews here that they are not very friendly... Edit: All right, after the answer to my review I'll correct it from 2 stars to 1 star. How cheeky can you be as a restaurateur? As I said, we were the only guests in the store and didn't have to address anyone. Accordingly, we weren't unusually loud. Maybe you're confusing us because when we left you were standing at a table right next to the exit and not in the next room.

Wir waren an einem Nachmittag für Kuchen und Kaffee hier. Soweit alles okay, auch das Ambiente. Das ganze wird aber überschattet von einer Unfreundlichkeit des Besitzer-Ehepaares, was ich so in der Gastronomie noch nie erlebt habe. Wir werden nie wieder kommen und auch jedem davon abraten.

The second time we asked, the chef was so annoyed by the question that he said we wouldn't get anything anymore. Incomprehensible! This is not the way to treat guests, even if there is a lot to do.

We were there for the breakfast buffet. The location is fantastically beautiful with the outside area, the inside area is also very nice. The staff was very friendly. We were a little disappointed with the breakfast buffet. No croissants, no sausages/fried bacon, no fish/salmon, etc. We found that disappointing for the price and don't know that. But what was offered was delicious. We'd love to come back.

The Sennhütte gave us the full impression of a hut in Tyrol. The furnishings have style and look very cozy. Our lunch was the trio of dumplings. A taste explosion that I have never experienced in South Tyrol. I'd love to come back. Keep it up.

First time there...never again! Serve yourself...if a "draft beer" costs €5.20...not that expensive in Rome, Paris etc..and order it yourself and pay straight away...embarrassing!!!
