A particularly beautiful restaurant and surroundings - everything. Especially the outside terrace with the view. Since it was self-service, I can only say that the service was very friendly.

Retreat on July 13, 24 Four of us took a break here during a hike. Saturday around 1:30 p.m. there wasn't much going on. We sat comfortably outside and ate an excellent goulash soup. We were also served a really good, thick slice of bread. Recommended! It's a shame we couldn't eat some of the tempting cakes too. The sanitary facilities were also great.

Wir haben zu viert während einer Wanderung hier Rast gemacht. Samstag gegen 13:30 Uhr war nicht viel los. Wir haben gemütlich draußen gesessen und eine ausgezeichnete Gulaschsuppe gegessen. Dazu wurde uns eine richtig gute und dicke Brotscheibe gereicht. Empfehlenswert! Schade, dass wir nicht auch noch etwas von den verlockenden Torten essen konnten. Auch die sanitären Anlagen waren top.

Shortly before 12 p.m. you are sent away because you have to take a break to clean up. Accordingly, it was a very friendly ejection without any indication of the time. Money is made too well here and you no longer need it 😉

The beautiful little hike from Bad Pyrmont to the Sennhütte is rewarded with a great ambience in this excursion restaurant. During the week there are little things like sausages and cakes, for example, and there is a barbecue there at the weekend. However, you shouldn't get there too late, as the grilled food sells out relatively quickly. It's best to check the opening times beforehand. Unfortunately it was closed Mon-Wed, the other days it was open from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.

I can't use the food because we only had drinks. But the ambience is unbeatable. Unfortunately you have to get your own drinks.

A beautiful place. Everyone who visits Bad Pyrmont has to come here. I can recommend walking, driving by car is also a good experience.

We were there on Sunday lunchtime after a hike. The ambience is beautiful, but apart from a bratwurst grill there was nothing to eat, not even a snack plate or anything similar. Apparently there are no menus, and there are no prices on the cakes, as stated only from 1 p.m. I would have liked to know when you could come to this restaurant for regular meals, I was told rather rudely that the breakfast buffet was now being cleaned up and I should have asked from 1 p.m. or looked on the Internet. So after 1 p.m. nothing except bratwurst and I can't figure out which days the restaurant is open. It all looked so idyllic, but for me it's not a restaurant in the usual sense. More like a film set. If you're looking forward to a delicious lunch or a snack here, you've unfortunately lost out. And a non-existent menu, not even a drinks menu, is a no go. Oh, there was still a sign hanging there, already thinking about Christmas, what about it???? If everything had been communicated in a friendly manner, it would be okay, but today's visit leaves a bad aftertaste. At the neighboring table outside, as we were having a drink, I heard people say that this would have been a real restaurant a few years ago. But probably not anymore. What a shame.

We were here for breakfast on Sunday. The buffet was really very varied and also very lovingly prepared and it tasted delicious. After breakfast we stayed outside next to the alpine hut and had a drink or two. The outdoor area is very lovingly designed and maintained and simply invites you to linger. A really recommended place to relax. Please be sure to receive it.

We were guests in the Sennhütte for the first time on July 27th, 2024. Our lunch consisted of the goulash stew, the spinach dumplings and the mountaineer steak. All dishes were super tasty, a real culinary delight!!! 10 out of 10! We are already looking forward to the next visit.

Great restaurant, it's always worth going there or spending time outside in the garden. On Sundays the breakfast buffet is excellent.

Very nice little place to stay and eat delicious food. Very nice boss and service. The in-house mascot is also very sweet 😍 (Bernese mountain dog) Unfortunately there is a 1 star deduction because there is no service at the table for personnel reasons.

I can only judge the ambience and it's really good. I was unlucky that the dairyman's hut was closed. I hadn't googled it before. I can only report on my visits in October 2022. I was very satisfied with that.

Wonderful restaurant in a great location in the forest. It's not just the ambience that's worth the full 5 stars! Both service and cuisine are really perfect. What was created here is really great. A very clear recommendation from my side. If you visit Bad Pyrmont, you should definitely take a hike here. Despite the (really acceptable) waiting times due to the high number of guests (which actually only speaks for itself😉), it's worth the visit. I also think it's great that holidays etc. are always announced well in advance on the website and on social media, just great! Best regards to the Sennhütte team

The Sennhütte is a nice excursion destination. The outdoor area has plenty of seating. The interior has a nice ambience. Exclusively self-service, therefore only 3 points for the service. During the week there is only cake, no warm food. The cake was delicious.

Die Sennhütte in Bad Pyrmont bietet ein wundervolles Erlebnis für alle Sinne. Hoch oben gelegen, punktet das Restaurant mit einer atemberaubenden Aussicht und einer gemütlichen Atmosphäre. Der hausgemachte Kuchen ist ein absolutes Highlight, besonders die blaubeerkuchen ist ein Muss. Der Kaffee ist hervorragend und das Personal freundlich und aufmerksam. Die idyllische Lage und die kulinarischen Köstlichkeiten machen die Sennhütte zu einem perfekten Ziel für einen entspannten Ausflug.

On a sunny Sunday today it was of course very full in the hut. A really fantastic location and also lovingly furnished in a modern and cozy way! A wonderful view and a beautiful outdoor terrace. Actually the best conditions! Nowadays, it is well known that many restaurateurs are suffering from a lack of staff, but then I may only be able to open part of the café in order to at least adequately serve the guests there. The self-service isn't the problem, even if it's not nice (you actually just want to rest and be served after the hike...), nobody paid us any attention when we came in, despite a reservation! Apart from a board at the entrance, there are no menus in the restaurant - by 2 p.m. there was almost no hearty food left and everything was sold out. The gooseberry cake could not be refilled because, according to the waiter, there was no time to get another one. The whole loving atmosphere was completely destroyed by a lack of service/warmth! A pity!

What a beautiful place in the middle of the forest on top of the hills. Great as a starting point for various walks in these woods. Self-service restaurant where you can also come with your dog. Outside on a bench, a delicious cup of German coffee with a bretzel😋. Unfortunately, bad weather arrived. So we will definitely come back again to try out the hiking and the wild gulash. We did our desired walk a day later. Beautiful route, only the last part was quite difficult. But as a reward we ate gulasheintopf and a delicious beer.

Too crowded, even in rainy weather. After 2 minutes the employee said we should please order. There is no half of the card. Everything too expensive. Self-service. Potato wedges only in combination with beef fillet, even though they are on the menu individually.

Wir waren an einem Nachmittag für Kuchen und Kaffee hier. Soweit alles okay, auch das Ambiente. Das ganze wird aber überschattet von einer Unfreundlichkeit des Besitzer-Ehepaares, was ich so in der Gastronomie noch nie erlebt habe. Wir werden nie wieder kommen und auch jedem davon abraten.

We went to the restaurant today for a piece of cake and a drink. Very nicely decorated and the cake was delicious. There is also a nice outdoor area. But unfortunately the owner is so unfriendly that we won't come back a second time. Ordering and payment takes place at the counter. During our stay, the owners' large (but very sweet and calm) dog ran around the restaurant. At the next table, a guest said that he would like to pay, but didn't dare go to the counter because he was afraid of the dog. The owner just said harshly “he doesn’t do anything” and that was the end of the matter for her. After the other guests left, only our table was occupied by 8 people. We were talking at room volume and laughing when the owner snorted at us to please be quieter because she couldn't understand anything on the phone. The phone was wireless, so she could have gone into the next room instead of complaining to her guests. There were no smiles both when greeting us and when saying goodbye. You can also see from the owners' responses to negative reviews here that they are not very friendly... Edit: All right, after the answer to my review I'll correct it from 2 stars to 1 star. How cheeky can you be as a restaurateur? As I said, we were the only guests in the store and didn't have to address anyone. Accordingly, we weren't unusually loud. Maybe you're confusing us because when we left you were standing at a table right next to the exit and not in the next room.

Unfortunately I can't say anything about the food. We ordered goulash soup, which we had to wait 50 minutes for, even though it was ready on the stove. The second time we asked, the chef was so annoyed by the question that he said we wouldn't get anything anymore. Incomprehensible! This is not the way to treat guests, even if there is a lot to do.

We were there for the breakfast buffet. The location is fantastically beautiful with the outside area, the inside area is also very nice. The staff was very friendly. We were a little disappointed with the breakfast buffet. No croissants, no sausages/fried bacon, no fish/salmon, etc. We found that disappointing for the price and don't know that. But what was offered was delicious. We'd love to come back.

First time there...never again! Serve yourself...if a "draft beer" costs €5.20...not that expensive in Rome, Paris etc..and order it yourself and pay straight away...embarrassing!!!

A highlight on our trip through Bad Pyrmont and to the Spelunkenturm, then stopping off at the beautiful Sennhütte. We had great sunny weather and were able to sit outside. Here you can enjoy delicious cakes in a rustic atmosphere. The staff is very friendly, unfortunately only self-service.

First of all: the breakfast was okay, sausage and cheese were of good quality. I personally don't think baked rolls are that great, but it's a matter of taste... It didn't blow us away and we weren't the only ones in our group. But now the actual reason for our criticism! We had to pay €25 for breakfast for our son (10 years old) because the “children’s quota” had already been used up!!! To explain: we were a large group (approx. 30 people) and of course we had reserved. We were informed in advance that if you cancel at short notice (i.e. one day in advance), you still have to pay €25! It's not fair either! And children over 12 have to pay the full price for breakfast, which is also incomprehensible, no child eats enough breakfast to justify the price. Apparently we had mentioned one child too few when making our reservation and since my husband and I were the last to pay, we had to fork out €75 for the three of us! An absolute disgrace!!! You were supposed to accommodate the guest, but they insisted that the full price had to be charged! Truly incredible! We definitely won't go back! Anyone who treats guests like this should be ashamed of themselves!

We were there for brunch. Quality of food good, but the boss could also work in a pub: uncharming, rude, rolls her eyes when you ask for a seat. He also likes to ignore the guests. Dirty dishes are only cleared away once, 45 minutes before brunch is officially over. The plate is pulled out from under your nose while you eat. Oh yes: if you want to have the full selection of dishes, you have to be among the first 15 people. Nothing more will be added. What's gone is gone! And if someone wants toasted bread, they simply have to pull the plug out of the electronic fireplace/fire and laboriously plug in the one for the toaster. But then replace it again. If you forget it, you'll get in trouble with the boss... With the real time limit of 10 a.m. - approx. 11:15 a.m. (including extreme traffic jams when queuing with customers who already know that no food will be refilled), you have to think about whether you should pay €25 for brunch and €4 for one If you want to spend a double espresso, the view is certainly nice.

Ambiance is great. However, the rest absolutely not. The staff is rude and arrogant. Apparently they don't rely on customers.

We are totally thrilled. The best breakfast buffet in a long time. Whether ham, cheese, jam or cheese, everything is of very good quality. Bread and rolls are also absolutely delicious, fresh fruit, yoghurt, juices and endless coffee. The ambience is a dream, so lovingly and comfortably furnished! My suggestion for improvement would be to only put one more plate on the table and a small table drop.

Völlig überteuerter Brunch für 45!! Euro p.P. + Getränke. Knapp 100 Euro für 2 Personen für einen Brunch !! Vorab konnte kein Preis gegannt werden, aber das ist einfach nur unverschämt. Damit hätte man nicht gerechnet. Einmal und nie wieder. Einzelne Abrechnung im Kassensystem nicht möglich, nur als Gruppe, die reserviert hat, zu zahlen - unflexibel. Insgesamt überteuert und abgehoben. Ein Lächeln kann manchmal nicht schaden. Da nützt auch das tolle Ambiente nichts.

Nach drei Wochen Reha in Bad Pyrmont und vier mal zu Besuch in der Sennhütte muss ich auch mal eine Bewertung abgeben. Zunächst mal kann ich die schlechten Bewertungen gar nicht verstehen. Wer sich über lange Wartezeit beschwert, sollte nach MCs gehen. Ich war wirklich sehr gerne Gast bei euch. Das Restaurant ist gemütlich eingerichtet. Das Personal war immer nett. Ich habe gerne etwas länger auf das Essen gewartet, denn es hat sich definitiv gelohnt.

Ein schöner Ort zum Pausieren, leckere Kuchenauswahl. Bedienung war sehr nett.

Anlässlich einer Geburtstagsfeier hatten wir mal wieder in einer wunderschön weihnachtlich geschmückten Sennhütte ein tolles Frühstück. Spezialitäten aus Tirol und Südtirol machten das Frühstück wieder zu einem Erlebnis. Ein kleiner Extrawunsch wurde mir auch noch erfüllt. Einfach nur Suuuuper.

Reservierung zum Frühstücken hat reibungslos funktioniert. Die „Gastgeber“ sind unfassbar freundlich. Hat alles ohne Ausnahme bestens geschmeckt. Zwischendurch kann ich zum Kaffee Kuchen essen die Sennhütte nur empfehlen. Jederzeit gerne wieder!!

Beim 2ten Anlauf nach einer ausgedehnten Wanderung war erfolgreich, das Lokal war wieder offen! 2 Wochen zuvor stand oben an der Tür, dass Betriebsurlaub ist, das kann man auch besser kommunizieren, nicht jeder Gast fährt mit dem Auto vor. Schwamm drüber, passiert halt. Das Lokal ist 1A saniert und sehr geschmackvoll eingerichtet. Die Wirtsleute machten einen kernigen und freundlichen Eindruck, der Service war professionell. Da wir nachmittags dort waren, gönnten wir uns den umwerfend leckeren Kuchen mit Kaffee und genossen die letzten Sonnenstrahlen im Garten. Drinnen war das Lokal brechend voll und für meinen Geschmack etwas zu laut, aber es herrschte gute Stimmung, das sagt ja eigentlich schon Alles! Wir sind sehr zufrieden zurück gewandert, Adresse gemerkt!

Bin noch nie so begeistert von einer "HÜTTE" gewesen. Für eine Wanderung eine fabelhafte Belohnung. Diese sollte sich niemand entgehen lassen sollen. Und das Essen, mir fehlen die Worte. Ein Traum. Tipp noch, würde mit Platz 1. Bei mein Lokal dein Lokal ausgezeichnet.

Diese urige Hütte hatte leider zu, so dass wir zu einer Öffnungszeit wieder kommen werden. Der Platz mit den ganzen Sitzmöglichkeiten sieht schon mal sehr einladend aus.

Sehr leckeres Frühstück vom Buffet am Sonntag. Großartige Auswahl an Brot, Brötchen, Wurst und Käse, tolle Joghurts und Quarkspeisen, schöne Toppings. Alles in wunderschönem Ambiente und mit ganz herzlicher Betreuung. Empfehlung!

Wir waren mal wieder zum frühstücken in der Sennhütte, einfach super. Alles so liebevoll und appetitlich hergerichtet. Höchste Qualität an Speck und Käsesorten aus Tirol. Wir danken für einen wundervollen Frühstücksvormittag.

Absolute Empfehlung! Herzliche Menschen, sehr leckeres und qualitativ hochwertiges Essen, gemütliche Atmosphäre - sowohl im Innen- als auch im Außenbereich. Wir waren an zwei aufeinanderfolgenden Tagen dort, um den großen Kuchenstücken ausreichend Platz bieten zu können. 😋 Haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt und finden, etwas Wartezeit und die minimale Eigenleistung lohnen sich sehr!

Die Hütte ist optisch wirklich schön, der Kuchen sieht auch toll aus. Leider ist der Service sehr ruppig und auch nicht zuvorkommend und das obwohl man sich schon selber anstellen muss und lediglich am Tisch serviert wird. Der Gulascheintopf war lecker, aber hatte kaum Einlage aus Rind, dafür allerlei Speck, der in ein richtiges Gulasch eigentlich nicht gehört. Insgesamt ist noch Luft nach oben, was ein gemütliches Gefühl (was den Service betrifft) angeht.

Sehr schön eingerichtetes Cafe/Restaurant mit kleiner, feiner Karte und großer besonderer Kuchenauswahl. Leider waren wir von den vegetarischen Knödeln so satt, dass wir keinen Kuchen mehr geschafft haben. Wir müssen also wieder kommen. Der Service wurde aufgrund Personalmangels auf eine Art von Selbstbedienung umgestellt.

Sehr schöne Berghütte mit super Außenanlage!!! Mehrere unterschiedliche Sitzgelegenheiten, Liegen und eine Terrasse. Kuchen ist sehr lecker. Leider sind die Öffnungszeiten nicht so optimal. Selbstbedienung, aber das finde ich nicht schlimm! Sehr sehr schön!

Ein sehr schöner Ort man kann da gut essen auch draußen sitzen wenn es warm ist und nicht regnet drin ist es auch sehr gemütlich kann ich nur empfehlen
