The guys there didnt allow us(2 african guys) to sit on thier chairs outside to eat after buying. They explain it is a law.🤔

In my opinion, this is the best kebab shop in the area. I've known this place since it was quite small. Now you can sit inside and eat other Turkish dishes. The kebab is made with steak, which everyone should be aware of. But as I said, for me, it's the best in the Cologne-Bonn region.

I've eaten there several times now. So far, I haven't had any complaints about the taste of the meat from Ambiente.

We tried the regular beef doner and the one with roasted vegetables, both delicious. Friendly service, and you can sit outside in nice weather.

Yesterday I was there for the first time with my colleague, who has been there several times before. I'm generally very critical when it comes to food and restaurants, but here I have to honestly say that everything was perfect, from the doner kebab to the salad, etc. The atmosphere was great, the staff and manager were very friendly and accommodating, and above all, they place great importance on cleanliness and hygiene. The meat is world-class. A 10 out of 10 for me.

On a recommendation from Wetzlar, I drove all the way to Bonn – combined with a short stroll through the city – just to try this kebab. And what can I say: It was absolutely the right decision! You have to put up with long waits, but it's worth it. A kebab just like you'd find in Turkey, made with layered meat, and not the kind you'd find in Germany with minced meat. Top-notch.

"PommKäsedöner" simply means "fries with cheese on top?" It's totally misleading to use the word kebab here, and the waiter was so unfriendly and rude, too. The kebab is okay, but for that price, I can get two better kebabs in Neukölln.

The food was okay. You can pay by card, but nowhere does it say that this is only possible for orders over €10, which unfortunately only became clear after the order was complete. It would be nice if they could simply put up a note to indicate this.

We were just there; the service was very attentive, and we were seated right away. The meat, as Holle already mentioned, is truly unique. It was very tasty and definitely the best doner meat in Germany. The tomato sauce at the Iskender is particularly worth mentioning; it was simply perfect.

It's very popular because this restaurant is the only one that sells real beef, and I personally like it better than any other kebab! Very nice decor and a large outdoor area where you can dine comfortably and relatively quietly! You should take your time at lunchtime, because, as already mentioned, the restaurant is very busy!

I was a bit hyped for a change based on the reviews. What can I say, I was once again punished with disappointment. The quality, freshness and ingredients were all very high quality. The price of €10 with extra grilled vegetables (which were tasty and worth the extra €0.50/€1) for a food store right next to the train station is OK. Doner inflation, in other words. Now I come to the core of my disappointment. People argue about whether or not to use doner sauce; if it's good then you don't need any of the bells and whistles. For me there was too little sauce, the cocktail was average, spicy but not hot. It was my first time ordering, next time I would order extra. I know that it can quickly lead to drowning, especially with takeaway as it will most likely soak through. On the other hand, the doner was well balanced, amount of sauce, level of spiciness, just run-of-the-mill so that everyone gets their fill. But despite the good quality/preparation of the meat, there was either too little (the quantity was actually proportionally good) or simply too dry/dehydrated to be enjoyed as juicy enough without sauce. My opinion. I think the name "Beef Doner" is correct and that's what I expected, but where has the "Doner Taste" gone? If I want steak, I eat a steak with salad and bread. Because it's wrapped and shaped, it's a doner and not just a steak sandwich. Maybe years of chemical exposure to doner kebabs have spoiled my taste, but I missed the typical doner punch. As an objective product, however, it's actually top notch. That's just how it is with expectations, and then they aren't met.

I've eaten many doner kebabs in my life—including in Berlin—but when it comes to beef or veal doner, none comes close to this one. I regularly drive here with colleagues from Cologne, just for this doner.

We went to Sefa Beef Döner today. The food was delicious and the service was very friendly. I highly recommend it.

Yesterday, six of us and a toddler (1 year old) ate there – and it was fantastic all around. The food was really good, but what impressed us most was the service. Our child received a portion of meat immediately after ordering, before our food even arrived. This meant he could eat in peace, while we adults received our food about ten minutes later. High chairs were also available, of course. We felt very comfortable and would absolutely recommend the restaurant to any family with a toddler.

The doner kebab at Sefa Beef tasted amazing; the meat was juicy, well-seasoned, and freshly prepared. The bread and vegetables were also excellent! A particularly nice touch: At the end, they served a hot çay on the house—very hospitable and rounded off the meal perfectly. I'll be back!

We didn't know about the hype surrounding this place beforehand, so we walked past it, hungry, and stopped in. The service was more than average for a "kebab shop," and the food was fantastic! The hype is well-deserved, and there's nothing to complain about!

I'd actually give it 4 stars because the beef doner didn't really impress me. It was good, but not outstanding. Contrary to what the name suggests, the chicken was the best I've ever eaten. Really fresh, well-seasoned. But more on that in a moment. We ordered a chicken platter, a beef kebab, and a chicken doner kebab. A total of 3 drinks for €36 for everything is good value for the location. The location has a lot to offer, including outdoor seating. A little further on is the market, and even children have fun in the small "mini playground." So, the ambiance is 5/5. The staff's service kept coming by, and despite moderate activity, they were always there to greet you by shouting or raising their hand. Now for the food. I didn't try the "beef doner" with vegetables and cheese, as advertised. However, I still thought it was good. ... I would give the beef doner a solid 7/10, or more like 3/5. The meat wasn't great, I found the bread a bit dry, and above all, I think they were really stingy with the meat. Here, I would at least offer more meat for an extra charge. The chicken doner had a similarly light topping, but the chicken was above average. I can't really describe it, but it was also superbly seasoned and not too salty or overly spicy; it was simply top-notch. I'm giving it 10/10 stars because it was really great for me, who rarely eats chicken doner. The doner plate, on the other hand, had a lot of meat in my opinion, and it came with fries. The fries were also very tasty, so the plate gets 9/10 stars. Well, all in all, I was very disappointed with the beef doner, as it was rather average for me. However, the shop still deserves 5 stars because it's probably going to be my top 10 kebab shop in Cologne/Bonn, and I'll even drive 30 minutes there just to eat a kebab. And precisely because the atmosphere is really great; you can sit and eat there comfortably. What they've done is fantastic. Another addendum: I really think they're cutting costs a lot these days on meat and even fries. A meal with kebab, fries, and a 0.2L drink now costs €15, and then you get a tiny bowl of fries with it. That's really pathetic. I don't think it's fair anymore, and it's not value for money either.

Their döner was good. Their lahmacun was very bad. We went as a family and there was a baby stroller. They didn't want to sit us at the table in the front.

Was there last weekend for the first and last time! No cheese or roasted vegetables in the durum, and then they charged 50 cents more than advertised...and the meat was overseasoned, too.

Enjoying a doner was an essential part of my vacation in Germany, but I was rather disappointed by this one. The sandwiches themselves were rather meager and our meal cost us a lot even without fries. English communication with staff was not easy.

For me personally, the kebab steak plate was quite dry and very fatty. The starters, however, were tasty and the service was extremely friendly. However, I will try again because everyone deserves a second chance.

We wanted to eat kebab there because it is said to be one of the best kebab shops in Bonn. Unfortunately we had to wait 20 minutes before we could order due to the rush. You weren't allowed to sit down either, as there was a separate queue for that. For Dürüm kebab you would have had to wait another 10 minutes, as this supposedly took longer. Unfortunately the kebab tasted like any other or worse. Paying €10 for that is crazy. I would definitely not recommend it. It's better to go to a normal kebab shop, it's much more relaxed and tasty and sometimes only costs half as much.

The kebab was really something delicious. A friend convinced me to go here with him and I definitely didn't regret it. The kebab was filling and looked extremely tasty. It tasted incredibly delicious, the meat was high quality and the bread was homemade. The tzatziki was also homemade as were all the other sauces. The atmosphere of the kebab shop was particularly elegant and you felt welcome. I can only recommend it, this is definitely the best kebab shop in Bonn and probably even in the surrounding area.

I eat beef kebab regularly at Sefa and am very satisfied every time. The kebab is really, really tasty, fresh, well seasoned and simply great in taste! The ambience is also great: you can sit comfortably both inside and outside. The staff is friendly and accommodating. A small negative point is that the selection is a bit limited, but what is there is actually really good. I always enjoy coming back!

Delicious kebab, but in my opinion it doesn't live up to the hype. The meat is super tasty but nothing extraordinary.

Really taken off, me and a friend were there and he wasn't that hungry, wanted to try it and wanted to share a kebab. When we asked if they could cut it in half, you could tell straight away that they were angry. Then he said “funny”: “we don’t have a bread knife,” which wasn’t funny at all, just unpleasant. When he prepared the kebab, he didn't put any sauce in it, which we only noticed later because he didn't even ask. We were unsure whether there was sauce in it and my colleague insisted on asking again and then he boldly lied to us and said that he had put sauce in it. When we wanted to sit outside because it was raining (we were the only ones), an employee came to us and sent us away with the reason: we had ordered take-away and were not allowed to sit on the chairs and otherwise we would have to pay €1 more? While he was saying that, he pulled out a small black water gun and aimed it at us??? Very rude and aloof.

The kebab was absolutely top, fresh, tasty and perfectly seasoned! I would particularly like to highlight the service: super friendly, attentive and fast. You can immediately tell that people work here with passion. I'll definitely come back, clear recommendation!

Paying customers are not allowed, food is not permitted in the restaurant and there are hardly any free seats on the terrace, even though the restaurant was half empty. I suspect that he reserved the seats for his favorite friends instead of treating everyone equally. To be honest, I will never go out to eat again - an example of how a certain clientele stands out when it earns a few euros.
