SeeTerrassen in Schieder-Schwalenberg

During a bike tour we ordered a pizza to take away from the Seeterrassen restaurant. While we waited, we sat at a table away from the seated guests. After 3 minutes we were spoken to in a very unfriendly manner, telling us that we were sitting in the cordoned off seats and that we might attract other guests to occupy these seats. The free places were blocked because there is currently no staff to accommodate these potential guests. This statement was spoken aloud from a great distance. One or two guests probably noticed this too. We then waited at the bike rack with the children. Then we received our pizza and headed towards the public bench. When we opened the pizza box we found a mini salami pizza (approx. 20-24 cm) for €11. With this experience it was our last visit to the Seeterrassen restaurant. I like to spend my hard-earned money where I am treated as a guest and the value for money is right.👍

Dinner was very good... coffee in the afternoon, so-so... the cakes are frozen goods, which isn't necessarily bad, but it's too expensive

As locals, we have been eating here for many years. Even though the rooms are in need of renovation and the ambience can really be improved, the food has really impressed us so far. At the moment, however, the austerity measures are clearly noticeable. The pizzas have become significantly smaller. For me they have become really small. In other pizzerias they would be described as small and not normal, let alone large. If you're very hungry, you won't be full. At home I went to the fridge again... The proportion of sheep's cheese in the Atlantico pizza has decreased significantly. This was different a while ago. There are significant savings here. Still tastes good. However, things have moved a lot away from the excellent level. The service is still very friendly and accommodating. Due to the quality and quantity of the food, we will consider alternatives more frequently in the future. It's a shame that the trend is so negative

Pizza seems to have shrunk but tastes okay. Price not justified at all. Except for one nice young lady, very unfriendly staff. Not recommended

It's always beautiful here. First take a walk along Schiedersee or through the castle park and then stop off at the lakeside terraces. We have had a delicious meal here every time. A trip here is always worth it.

Delicious apple strudel ever...

We were there for our annual dinner. The food was again a complete disaster. The taste of the meat is indefinable. Side dishes too salty or cheap conservative goods

We took a walk around the lake and stopped there for coffee. It is a very cozy atmosphere even in autumn. We ordered waffles and apple strudel, both were delicious and fresh. The price/performance ratio was good and the staff was very nice and friendly. We were certainly not there for the last time.

Unfortunately prices are utopian. There's nothing like that even in the city. A tiny side salad €7.4, a potato with quark €14..?!? Unfortunately not justified and not worth supporting

I had the classic steak. The meat itself was really great. I found the side dishes very weak. For a steak plate at 35 euros and 1.50 euros extra for the fried potatoes instead of the fries, extremely flimsy and thick fried potatoes that I didn't finish either. The salad was OK. The steak is probably weighed to the milligram and looks more like 180 grams than 220 grams. I left hungry. Service was nice.

After walking around the lake, we ended the evening here. My girlfriend had the pasta with rocket and walnuts and was thrilled. I had pizza. And what can I say? It was the best pizza of my life. I've been to Italy and a few Italian restaurants here and none come close to the taste experience! Super nice service. Beer was delicious. Tip top. The lighting was a bit too dark for my taste, but otherwise everything was great.

Stopped there for coffee and cake on a motorcycle tour. Service was very polite and attentive. Apple strudel is a dream. Prices completely ok. The toilets are a bit old. Otherwise everything was great

A pity! All tables are occupied and part of the area is cordoned off. When I asked whether the area could be opened because all tables were occupied, I received an unfriendly and annoyed “No.” We would see that the area was closed.” The operator turned around and she was gone. A pity! Too bad!

Very courteous service, children and dogs welcome. Friendly conversations, very tasty tarts, cakes, cappuccinos. I now ate something there more often and everything was very tasty!

The restaurant is really beautifully located by the lake. What we didn't like was that the food was overpriced. For a schnitzel with mushrooms and a mini salad bowl without any side dishes for 14.90 euros. The price would be acceptable with side dishes. The service is friendly but you are ignored. Conclusion, highly recommended for walking around the lake. We'd love to come back for a drink.

Service took place after repeated requests, the decoration is full of spiders. Food: Redfish was pangarius, tomato soup was vegetables, pizza was cheap cheese. Expensive on top of that.

(Edit! 2023, 2024) The price-performance ratio is no longer suitable!! over €5 for a large coke!? The usual apple strudel has shrunk to a minimum - of course at the same price... That's where it ends for us. Delicious pizzas that unfortunately get smaller (almost from time to time)! What's going on there? This used to be much better and also cheaper. Pizza with chanterelles?! There were 4 pieces on it. Lots of salad for that. The service is (with a few exceptions) nice and friendly... The boss, on the other hand, stubbornly walks past his guests... he can or must still work on his friendliness... That's where we come from your predecessors and your beginnings Used to better... Has already worn off! Unfortunately Even a while later, the same thing happened with the shrinking pizzas. Other guests have now noticed this too. And (shortly to the owner's answer:) no one has to say "Hello" to a guest in person! But when you walk past or come in you should get at least one “Hello” out of it.

Very nice restaurant, wonderfully located directly on Lake Schiedersee. Ate schnitzel there and were thrilled with the quality! The service was very friendly and we liked the atmosphere too. An all-round successful evening in a great restaurant. We recommend! Thank you very much 😊👍

Never again!!! After receiving zero attention for 15-20 minutes, we left again. We had pre-booked a table. When we arrived we were just told that the table was at the front. No welcome, no card, no drinks. Even though everything inside was empty and not everything outside was occupied, we were simply ignored. There were enough staff and they always walked past our table, but just looked stupid. Totally unmotivated and incompetent. We then left. Luckily there is the Anno 1700 in Schwalenberg, where we were warmly welcomed, had delicious food and a lovely evening. Thanks Anno!!!

We only had one drink each, but the service was very good. The dog also received a bowl of water without asking. The large parking lot nearby for the Schiedersee recreation area means that the lake terrace is very well attended. It is advisable to reserve a table.

Visited on June 30, 2024 with 10 people. Nice restaurant with a large covered terrace and quite a few seats. Great ambience by the lake. Friendly staff. Very good cuisine. Reasonable prices. Whether salad, schnitzel, steak, fish or one of the many pizzas, everything was really tasty. We had a great early evening. Attention, closes at 9 p.m.… Clear recommendation, would love to come back.

Everything was fine, only the toilet was very, very dirty

Been here again after 10 years, the two older ladies with their home-style German cuisine were no longer there. Were disappointed with the Italian, the green area was also a disaster, Don't come back

Nicely located restaurant, unfortunately no food available at this time! Okay, then just ate some ice cream! Service very quick and attentive!! A break on site is worth it! Next time we'll eat there later!!

The Seeterrassen is idyllically situated on the river bank and offers a quiet, relaxing atmosphere. The water views are gorgeous and the decor is cozy and inviting. The service was excellent and quick. The staff was friendly and attentive. The food and drinks were of excellent quality. A wonderful place for a break – highly recommended!

We've eaten there a few times now, twice in the evening and once in the afternoon. The staff was very friendly and quick, the food was very tasty and plentiful whether in the afternoon or evening. Can only be recommended. Keep it up

We were here on 5/18/24. We decided on a pizza. This was swimming in sauce, which was very unappetizing, the base was not baked through, the middle was even raw and the taste was simply a disaster. We both let over half go back, with the friendly comment that it was not edible. We had to pay the full price and they didn't even come close to accommodating us. Not recommended at all!!!

I wanted to spend a nice evening with my mother for her 60th birthday at Seeterrassen. I called ahead, reserved a table, asked if I could bring my Pomeranian with me and everything went well over the phone. But today the bitter truth came, we were greeted unfriendly, we were initially denied the table outside that we had been promised on the phone and then, after ordering our food, we were asked to ask our dog to please stay on our lap where he was was also the whole time. We continued to take this to heart, the dog was very nice and we waited for our food. Like a bolt from the blue, the innkeeper came and complained to me in a completely unfriendly way, saying that I probably wasn't listening and the dog was back on the table and should get off the table immediately, which wasn't the case at all and all the guests did We noticed the unfriendly tone and immediately lost our appetite...luckily we found a customer-friendly restaurant somewhere else where our dog was also warmly welcomed.

No recommendations!! Unfriendly staff and the boss misbehaved completely and started arguing terribly with the guests. Better eat somewhere else! -1 star

We went there on our motorbike to eat pizza on May 10, 2024. The pizzas were very tasty and fairly priced. The service team was very attentive and super nice. Worth 5 stars for us on this day...

Great location, we sat on the terrace right by the lake. Attentive service, unfortunately the food was just average. We ate schnitzel with asparagus, the asparagus was a little too hard and the schnitzel was clearly a finished product. The price was a bit too high for that.

We were there yesterday and sat inside. The atmosphere is simple but cozy. The service is quick and friendly. The selection is good, the prices are reasonable to slightly higher. The food was OK and tasty but nothing special. It's a shame that the schnitzel wasn't freshly breaded but clearly came out of the package.

A very nice restaurant. Even before we got to the door we were asked for a reservation because it was fully booked. Luckily we had reserved a table. Nice ambience, the menu embedded in wooden panels, I thought it was a great idea. The staff was very friendly and attentive, just as you would expect. The quality of the food was very good, but you're happy to pay a euro more for it. In short: my full recommendation, gladly again.

We were there outside of "kitchen hours", so we can't say anything about the food. Everything was clean and the staff was very nice, attentive and really took care of the guests! We were there with a dog and the waitress brought us a bowl of fresh water for the dog without being asked before we even ordered anything. It was really a nice break, walking around the Schiedersee! We'll be back, and next time we'll try the food too! Excellent! Keep it up!

Nice little restaurant with a beer terrace - here you can sit down after a joyride and have something to drink and eat. Please note! On Sunday afternoons there was only coffee and cake, even though it smelled strongly of fried food and we were hungry for something hearty.

Landed here for the first time...at coffee time. The offer was very good and the cake slices were worth the money. Very tasty and a really good size. The coffee was hot... which isn't the norm these days either. Together with the friendly service, an all-round successful coffee stop. We'd love to come back

Pizza isn't the tastiest. Staff especially the gentleman is not very friendly and arrogant and acts as if he is just working. We won't go there anymore. The advantage of the store is the great location, otherwise he would probably already be knocked out

Wie immer 1a und einen Besuch wert

Nachdem ich zur Kaffeezeit erst beim zweiten Versuch ein schönen Tisch zu zweit bekommen habe haben wir den Spätnachmittag bis in den Abend genossen. Der Kaffee und Kuchen hat uns gut geschmeckt und wir haben uns entschieden noch zum Abendessen die Kohlkarte zu testen. Sehr nettes Personal und gutes Essen, gerne wieder.
