Stopover on a bike tour. Beautifully located on Blausteinsee. Good cold beer on tap. As a snack we had a bread basket with herb butter and aioli. Enough as a snack for 2 people, very tasty. Slightly understaffed in terms of staff, you have to be patient. Still happy again.

Nice place, but a bit expensive. I ordered bruccheta there, which consisted of 4 slices of baguette (I know this dish with toasted slices of bread). The only thing that mattered to me was the beautiful view and the friendly service .

2nd attempt this summer. The view of the lake is actually the only thing that's great. When there is a private party like yesterday, it is difficult to combat the noise level. But that would be acceptable if the service staff didn't make it so clear that the other guests seemed to be a nuisance. Rarely have I experienced such incompetent and, above all, rude staff. The first time, like yesterday. Apparently the operator doesn't care, he has no competition 🤷‍♀️It's a shame, lake or not, not a third time.

Canteen food at restaurant prices! The schnitzels were not seasoned and consisted more of breading than meat, the Caesar salad had nothing to do with the one on the menu, but was just a mayo mush. The only thing that really matters is the prices.

Good ambience, very nice service. I can't complain about the food itself. My favorite dish there so far is the Bolognese pizza.

We were there for breakfast, unfortunately many people plundered the buffet, so it took a while until something was refilled. But the operator can't help that. It was delicious. Gladly again.

We recently moved back to Eschweiler after 37 years. Our son, who lives in Eschweiler, invited us to the Seehaus. What can I say. I was overwhelmed by the restaurant and the super beautiful surroundings. Likewise the food. There were five of us and we all enjoyed everything very much. Because I'm in a wheelchair, I often have to go home after dinner because most restaurants don't have a disabled toilet. But everything is different here. Very clean and nice toilet facilities including disabled toilets. So we spent a good 4 hours there with good food and delicious drinks. And I know I will always come back here.

A nice restaurant with a beautiful view! We got there at 2 p.m. At 2:15 p.m. we were noticed and we were able to order food and drinks. We got our drinks at 2:25 p.m. Dinner at 2:35 p.m. We had currywurst with fries. I can understand that if there is a lot to do, the waiting time can take a little longer. But we observed that the area where we sat was unfortunately somewhat neglected. Waiters went around and looked to see if anyone else needed something, but more in a different area. We always had to get the waiters' attention first. It took several attempts. Even when we wanted to pay, we had to ask a second waiter to do it. This may also explain, among other things, the slightly longer waiting time. Guests who came after us and were seated in the other area were also served first. We sat right at the large entrance area. The currywurst with fries was super delicious! Really excellent! A good portion with lots of sauce. It's been a long time since I've had such good currywurst with fries. We were thrilled. For dessert we ordered 2 scoops of ice cream with cream. But unfortunately I have to say, I personally didn't like them. I hardly eat ice cream. If so, then only fresh and homemade. This ice cream tasted like it came from a discount store and I don't like them. My girlfriend tasted the difference too. We also wondered why I got a cone with the ice cream, but my girlfriend didn't. Unfortunately, the croissant didn't taste fresh either. You could tell that it must have been lying around openly for a long time. Unfortunately I couldn't finish the dessert. Of course I would like to eat there again and try something else on the menu. Just no more ice cream. And sit in the other area so that we might get more attention. The prices were reasonable and not excessive. I've now read other reviews that are a year or more old, where guests have also been annoyed about the long waiting times and the fact that you have to keep up with the staff. The operator wrote “Exception”. Oh well. Unfortunately, over a year later nothing has changed. But everyone deserves a second chance and I'm looking forward to the next time.

I really can't recommend anyone to eat here. We were there and wanted to fortify ourselves when the hip hop festival took place. Service is not only rude, unfriendly but also sloppy and extremely slow. We had been sitting at the table for more than 30 minutes before the service staff offered us drinks, even though we drew attention to ourselves several times. We ordered 2 mushroom cream schnitzels with fries and mayo. After about an hour (in the meantime, guests who arrived later and then disappeared before us because they were simply ignored) the dishes arrived, unfortunately without mayonnaise, which I ordered immediately, as long as it didn't take another hour before they were delivered to me is. I was assured it would be quick. After a good 10 minutes I asked whether the mayo still needed to be mixed. I ordered the bill while I was eating because I could imagine it would take another while... The fact is, I won't get lost there again.

First a cappuccino and a piece of cake at Seehaus 53 and then a walk around the lake. The place is nice with a view over the lake, but the waiter was quite grumpy. Too bad if you don't enjoy your work...

Actually discovered the Blausteinsee by chance on the way to Stolberg (near Aachen). An exemplary concept of how a former opencast mine can be turned into a local recreation center. From the lake house with panoramic windows and large outdoor terrace you have a relaxed all-round view of the lake pavilion, small jetty and mini beach for windsurfers/SUP to start.

Nice location with event room. I have invited Eschweiler dentists to these rooms for further training several times. We were always satisfied!

Took a break here during a walk. Coffee and cake/cake were excellent.

An area where you can do some exercise, hiking, swimming and looking at the scenery. The restaurant nearby is clean with friendly staff and good food.☺️

The location on the lake is positive, with a great view of it. When we arrived it was very quiet on the terrace. We sat down with our friends, they got their food, we were ignored. After 20 minutes we had to speak to the waitress to express our drink request. If we had been alone, we would have gone to another location. The drinks were brought, but we didn't have to worry; within the next few hours we were no longer bothered by any service staff. In order to settle the bill, we had to speak to someone aggressively again, we expressed our displeasure directly, but it didn't interest us in any way. Conclusion, take everything for a picnic at the lake!

Catastrophe when it comes to service. Dirty tables that aren't cleared and something only happens when you talk to the staff about it. Orders are only taken when spoken to and if you then have to wait over 30 minutes for just 2 drinks, nothing further needs to be said. You have to wait a long time to get the bill, let alone pay it.

Four of us were here today for the breakfast buffet. Everything was great! We were able to get into the restaurant before the buffet started and choose a great table! The staff was super friendly; We were immediately offered drinks and coffee! The food was then very tasty! It was constantly being replenished! Price-performance is great! We would be happy to come back and can recommend the restaurant without reservation! Class👍

Very poorly organized, there are enough staff running around... we had 3 waiters who wanted to take the order, the first one took the order incorrectly, the other waiter brought instead of a coffee and a latte, the two brought coffee 🙈 I also observed that they were eating too was served incorrectly by the other guests…. The ambience is super nice..!!!! And the calculation was also in our favor...that means too little was done...

The waiter treated us very well, but the salad tasted very bad and the coca Cola didn't have gas, everything seemed old.

The party is a mega event. Cocktails like water. DJs (4) just don't have it and can't create a mood. The highlight is “Macarena”... And I pay over €20 entry fee for that. Every amateur party has more to offer.

We were with three families for Easter breakfast on Easter Sunday. Unfortunately disappointing. It starts with setting the tables, with the lack of Easter decorations to the really loveless breakfast buffet - it runs like a common thread through the whole thing. Easter Sunday and there was a cup on a table in front of every chair. That was all. Desolate. It couldn't have been nicer and more inviting with a placemat on top, a breakfast set and some Easter table decorations. The breakfast buffet is a bit nicely decorated and maybe there is also a fruit salad or some fresh fruit. The guest is happy to pay a little more for breakfast for this “more”. Above all, he feels much better and is happy to come back. But it was just a boring, emotionless breakfast like you get every day in a canteen.

A cozy place with a wonderful ambience right on the lake. The staff is a bit overwhelmed due to the large number of guests but is always friendly. I think the staff might need to be increased a bit, especially when the weather is nice. The food is OK, but not exceptional. Unfortunately, the beer waffles offered are disproportionate to the price. However, the view for it is absolutely beautiful. There are enough parking spaces, including for motorcyclists. You can definitely stay here and enjoy a little. We spoke to other guests who also confirmed to us that the food was okay but not very good. There should definitely be a little improvement here, but otherwise it is recommended.

I ordered a schnitzel with a spicy cream sauce and fries mayo. The meat of the schnitzel was so thin that the sides of the card were thicker. The fries were ok. Despite repeated requests, the mayonnaise was served when the fries were 75% eaten. A pity. Price-performance underground. The meal +2 cyclists around €23

The food and menu are somewhat OK, but nothing more, It's nice to sit both inside and outside is the only positive thing you can say about this restaurant. I'm not quick to complain about the staff and I have Understanding of mistakes, but the local service is one Disaster, several waiters either don't show up at all Look or ignore the guest persistently, you almost have to begging to be served. If someone then shows mercy, he/she is at best disinterested, but rather annoyed to unfriendly, everything takes a very long time or comes wrong and in blobs. Same struggle when paying... The serving robot used at times was the one by far most pleasant operation. After having the same experience several times We were allowed to have it after a long break due to a lack of alternatives tried again; Nothing has changed, quite the opposite! The next time we go for a walk by the lake, we'll take it a thermos flask and a sandwich.

We were recommended pizza which was absolutely disgusting. Sponge in fat and cheese and it certainly wasn't fresh either. The view is of course beautiful, and the Kölsch is also very tasty. But the operating robot needs new programming.

Wir haben es für eine Weihnachtsfeier gebucht. Das Essen war sehr lecker aber das Fleisch war leider recht schnell leer. Kellner dort sind sehr nett aber bringen kein Getränke nur Theke. Für 75€ pro Person nicht günstig.

Toller Ausblick über den Blausteinsee. Gute Küche, die auch kreativ kann. Der gebackene Ziegenkäse auf Gnocchi war einfach klasse.

Das Frühstück war gut. Für durchschnittlich 15euro pro Person im guten Mittelfeld. Die Auswahl war zufrieden stellend. Auch wenn ich mir persönlich eine bessere Auswahl an Wurst und Käse gewünscht hätte. Ein Gang zum Metzger würde da sicherlich nicht schaden. Alles in allem war es trotzdem ein leckeres und entspanntes Frühstück 😉

Der Service verheerend nach mehrmaligen Nachfragen nach Getränken kam niemand auch keine Nachfragen ob alles ok ist. Kein nochmaliger Besuch

Wir waren als Gäste auf einer Hochzeit dabei. Das Essen war durchschnittlich, also weder besonders lecker, noch schlecht. Jedoch waren einige Speisen nur lauwarm bzw. fast kalt. Beim Nachschub der Speisen wurde der Schweinekrustenbraten durch Leberkäse, der völlig kalt gewesen ist, und mit der warmen Bratensoße übergossen wurde, ersetzt. Bei Hochzeiten und Geburtstagen sind nur Getränkepauschalen buchbar. Leider lief der Nachschub der Getränke nur sehr schleppend und der Apperol Spritz war nach einhelliger Meinung aller, die ihn bestellt hatten, äußerst wässrig und schmeckte gar nicht. Eine Empfehlung für ein großes Event würden wir daher leider nicht aussprechen.

Diese Lokalität ist am Blausteinsee. Ein riesen Urlaubsparadies mit See, viel Wald und Wege für Fahrrad,🚴‍♂️ Joggen, 🏃Spazierengehen mit Hund 🐕, Wassersport. Dann ein tolles Restaurant und Kaffee mit Aussenbereich und Innenbereich. Dann ist an jedem Mittwoch von 13.30 - 17.30 Tanzen. Tolle Musik 🎶 guter Kaffee ☕ und Kuchen 🎂🥮 und man kann auch herzhaftes Essen. Es lohnt sich Tanzen zu gehe und auch sonst dort einzukehren. Uns hat es wieder gefallen und das Tanzbein geschwungen. 💃🕺

Sehr leckeres Buffet gehabt. Die Menge war auf jeden Fall genügend, der Service flott und freundlich. Es gibt beim Seehaus 53 einfach nichts zu meckern. Direkt neben dem Restaurant ist ein Spielplatz und man hat einen schönen Ausblick auf den See.

Wir sind sehr gerne dort . Nette Atmosphäre, schönes Ambiente. Die Zeit verfliegt da einfach.

Musste selbst um Service bitten. Die sind zu dritt immer wieder an uns vorbei gelaufen. Vorspeise kommt vor den Getränken. Auf die Hauptspeise musste dann wieder gewartet werden. Getränke nach bestellen ist dann quasi auch ins Wasser gefallen. Über 2 Stunden für ein Brotkorb und ein schnitzel oder einmal Brusceta und ein Schnitzel zu verzehren ist zu lange. Die dritte Person hat nur eine Pizza. Und die ist auch noch überteuert. Alles in allem. Sehr schöne Lage aber nicht zu empfehlen.

Wir fahren seit Jahren dort hin, sind aber mittlerweile sehr enttäuscht. Frühstücksbrunch ist doppelt so teuer geworden und wenn man dann an der Reihe ist ,ist alles leer .Mit dem Auffüllen kommen sie nicht nach und wenn man nachfragt werden sie pampig. Cola 0,4 L kostet 5 Euro . Die Rechnung ist nicht aufgelistet ,nur auf Nachfrage ( also keinen Überblick). Was mich aber total nervt ist der Service , es ist super wenn nachgefragt wird ob noch alles in Ordnung ist , aber wenn es so häufig ist ( gefühlt alle 2 Minuten) ,das wir uns schon einen Spaß daraus gemacht haben , dann nervt es irgendwann gewaltig und man fühlt sich echt bedrängt . Frühstücken werden wir dort nicht mehr . Schade für das Ambiente.

It is a great place for family gatherings and reunions. We where there with 14 people and service was great as well as the food. There is plenty of room for any size party, including outdoor seating. The menu items are Italian cuisine oriented and the prices range from €13 to €28. The portions are plentiful for the prices. I would definitely recommend visiting.

Personal leider nicht so freundlich und nicht aufmerksam. 30 min auf Getränke gewartet und mittlerweile schon über 30 min aufs Essen Leider kann ich das seehaus in der Hinsicht nicht empfehlen.

Ich war enttäuscht. Service wohl nicht gut eingearbeitet. Mussten fragen ob wir nach fast 20 minuten mal eine Bestellung aufgegeben könnten. Die Vorspeise, Brotkorb und Brusceta, waren ok. Nachdem dieses fast aufgegessen war, kamen dann auch mal die Getränke. Die schnitzel sind nicht berauschend aber essbar. Pizza etwas überteuert. Im großen und ganzen. Ich werde es nicht weiter empfehlen und auch nicht mehr dort einkehren.

Ich habe Pommes Frites und kalten Tee probiert. Toller Ort zum Entspannen und Durchatmen am See

Wir haben im Juni unsere hovz dort gefeiert. Das Essen war großartig. Der Service einfach nur erste Sahne. Man erkundigte sich immer nach unserem Wohlbefinden und war immer freundlich. Auch von Lieferanten für z. B Blumen bekamen wir ein positives Feedback über den freundlichen Service und Umgang. Wir wurden im voraus top beraten und jeder Wunsch erfüllt. Für uns jederzeit wieder gerne!

Kann leider noch nichts zum Essen sagen weil wir nur Getränke auf der Terrasse hatten, der Service ist allerdings sehr aufmerksam und freundlich

Wir haben mit 26 Personen dort eine tolle Hochzeit gefeiert. Service, Speisen, Getränke und die Möglichkeiten der Tagesgestaltung dort waren einwandfrei und absolut empfehlenswert.

Ich war zum ersten Mal hier. Alle waren sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend. Das Essen war reichlich und es wurde auf Extrawünsche eingegangen. Es finden Vetanstaltungen wie der Tanztreff dort statt. Sehr schöne Gelegenheit mal wieder Tanzen zu können. Datenbank gab es ebenso, wie überwiegend Discofox. Man konnte sich auch Lieder wünschen. Der DJ kannte viele mit Namen. Ich war recht jung für das Publikum zur Veranstaltung. Um Restaurant gab es alle Altersklassen es gibt eine Terrasse. Toller Blick auf den See.
