Schweiger Brauhaus in Markt Schwaben

We visited the Schweiger Brauhaus in Markt Schwaben for a birthday dinner and were completely thrilled. The atmosphere is cozy and inviting, ideal for a festive get-together. The food was excellent - the dishes were prepared with a lot of love and tasted delicious. The service was also attentive and friendly. A great experience that we would like to repeat!

On a recent trip from Canada, I had the pleasure of visiting a charming pub in Germany just before heading back home, and it was truly a delightful experience. As soon as I walked in, I was greeted by the warm and welcoming atmosphere that immediately set the tone for a great meal. The beer selection was top-notch, with a range of local brews that perfectly complemented the hearty dishes they serve. I opted for a classic pasta and salad dish. The pasta was a good home felt Mac and cheese. and it did not disappoint—authentic flavors and generous portions that left me more than enough. What truly made the experience memorable was the friendly staff, who made me feel at home despite being so far away. If you’re traveling through Germany, this pub is a must-visit for anyone wanting to experience authentic German cuisine with a cozy, welcoming vibe. Five stars, hands down!

Good home cooking in a cozy environment. The Bräustüberl offers everything that characterizes this type of restaurant: good cuisine and excellent beer. A total of five varieties are offered. There are also three special beers, such as “Somnium”, a dark Doppelbock with almost 20% original wort. They are also good as a souvenir. The roast pork was as it should be. The crispy crust, which has a juicy edge of fat, is actually only available in Franconian "Schäufala"! A balanced mix of wood and copper was used for the furnishings, which was mainly used on the counter. The prices are appropriately priced according to the “metropolitan region” to which Markt Schwaben belongs. But we'd love to come back!

Not recommended, very unfriendly staff. We were not allowed to eat inside or outside because of our work clothes. Without words… We won't be coming back!

The have a huge variety of beers and the beers are amazing. They seem to be a popular place in Markt Schwaben as they also have an English menu online. The food is good - traditional + burgers. There are vegetarian options. I had vegan fleischpflanzerl (frikadellen) with potato salad. They tasted quite good. However I got only two frikadellen and a huge amount of potato salad. It does make you full, however I would prefer one more frikadellen and a bit less of potato salad. They also have quite good coffee. However the apfelstrudel was not good and it did not seem fresh. The filling inside it seemed a bit old. But overall nice place and I will come there again to try other beers .

We chose the salad plate with goat cheese and raspberry dressing and had 2 almost full plates returned. Apparently it doesn't care whether it tastes good or not. No reaction from the kitchen. But we don't recommend it either.

Taste good, service good, once the wrong spaetzle was brought instead of dumplings, changing the side dish 1eur extra without informing you about it in advance is not okay, the roast pork crust was unfortunately fried too crispy, the crust was already detached from fat when it was served and was not edible, that's a lot better. As with many restaurants, prices have risen enormously since last year. The arguments are far-fetched. The result will be a restaurant dying and hopefully affordable prices again

We were just sitting together and thinking about where we had such a good meal after the beautiful zoo. Thank God for Google Maps and we found it quickly thanks to the in-house brewery. The food was very tasty and the atmosphere was great. The service was also very good and we got a great seat even though we hadn't made a reservation. We cannot understand the negative reviews. We'd love to come back.

Visit: Monday, June 24, 2024 evening (without reservation) On this holiday day, we had previously been traveling in Munich and on the way back to Erding by train/bus we wanted to visit a restaurant that wasn't so overcrowded with tourists due to the European Football Championships taking place at the time. It was our luck that the actual train was completely overcrowded and we boarded a follow-up train whose next stop was “Markt Schwaben”. In such a short time we decided to visit the Schweiger Brauhaus to have dinner there. The Schweiger Brauhaus has a tradition in Markt Schwaben that goes back over 80 years and was opened in 1934. After various owners over the years, the current landlord has been the owner of the local brewery since 2013. The interior of the brewery is furnished with dark wood and this looks unique compared to other breweries we know. There is also a beer garden, under the trees, with a view of the private brewery's brewing kettles. After being greeted by the staff, we were first asked whether we wanted to sit outside or inside and we chose inside, as there was a lot of reservation outside. An order: > Cola wheat 0.5l for €4.90 > Radler Naturally Cloudy 0.5l for €4.50 > Russ'n Half 0.5l for €4.60 > Tafelspitz broth with semolina dumplings for €7.50 > Tender pork fillet medallions on cream mushrooms with homemade spaetzle made from fresh farm eggs for €21.50 > Homemade cheese spaetzle with fried onions and a small side salad for €16.50 > Small, colorful salad variation with house-style dressing for €6.50 When bringing the food to the table, the waitress swapped the side dish or small colorful salad and gave it to the wrong person. She then noticed this and corrected her mistake - but it shouldn't happen like that. The food was good so far, the fried onions were homemade and cooked together, the overall visit was good and we were able to continue our journey well satisfied.

Es war unser Glück, dass der eigentliche Zug, komplett überfüllt war und wir in einen Nachfolgezug eingestiegen waren, welcher als nächster Halt "Markt Schwaben" hatte. In der Kürze der Zeit haben wir uns dann entschieden, das Schweiger Brauhaus einmal zu besuchen, um dort zu speisen. Das Schweiger Brauhaus hat eine über 80-jährige Tradition in Markt Schwaben und wurde 1934 eröffnet. Nach verschiedenen Inhabern in den Jahren, ist seit 2013 der jetzige Wirt im hiesigen Brauhaus Inhaber. Im Innern des Brauhauses ist dieses mit dunklem Holz eingerichtet und dieses wirkt einzigartig, gegenüber anderen Brauhäusern, wie man sie kennt. Ebenso ist ein Biergarten vorhanden, unter Bäumen, mit Blick auf die Braukessel der Privatbrauerei. Nach der Begrüßung durch das Personal, wurden wir zunächst gefragt, ob wir draußen oder drinnen sitzen wollten und wir uns für drinnen entschieden hatten, da draußen, sehr viel reserviert war. Bestellung: > Cola Weizen 0,5l für 4,90 € > Radler Naturtrüb 0,5l für 4,50 € > Russ'n Halbe 0,5l für 4,60 € > Tafelspitzbrühe mit Grießnockerl für 7,50 € > Zarte Schweinefiletmedaillons auf Rahmschwammerl mit hausgemachten Spätzle aus frischen Bauerneiern für 21,50 € > Hausgemachte Käsespätzle mit Röstzwiebeln und kleinem Beilagensalat für 16,50 € > Kleine bunte Salatvariation mit Dressing nach Art des Hauses für 6,50 € Die Servicekraft hat beim Bringen der Speisen an den Tisch, den Beilagen- bzw. den kleinen bunten Salat vertauscht und der falschen Person zunächst hingestellt. Dies ist ihr dann in Folge noch aufgefallen und sie hat ihren Fehler korrigiert - sollte aber so nicht passieren. Das Essen war soweit gut, die Röstzwiebeln waren selbstgemacht und zusammengefasst, war der Gesamtbesuch gut und wir konnten unsere Reise gut gesättigt fortsetzen.

My go to food stop in Markt Schwaben.

We were at the brewery on a holiday. Everything looks harmonious, well-kept and clean inside and out. The room concept is bright and well thought out, the furnishings are modern, but still suitable for a brewery. The food was tasty, although a bit more expensive. As can be seen from the other reviews, fair wages seem to be paid here, which just costs more. If this is the case, you can understand the prices better. What's particularly positive is that the food here is always warm! The beer was delicious, as was the food. There is only praise here! The meat was medium fried as requested, the schnitzel was not out of the deep fryer and the apple strudel was simply perfect. The service also made an effort, but unfortunately it was a bit understaffed and therefore visibly stressed. Overall, however, the positive impression outweighs the negatives and I will definitely come here more often.

Six of us went to the beer garden for a quick lunch. Very nicely located and easily accessible. Super nice and fast service. Everyone was happy with the food (from schnitzel to white sausage). Recommended for repetition with a longer duration.

Cozy, beautiful and, despite the adjacent street, quiet beer garden with a view of the brewing kettles. Small but sufficient playground to keep your children busy. Friendly and competent service. Fast and with a maximum waiting time of 10-15 minutes for the excellent and delicious food, even with many guests. You can tell that the team is well trained and coordinated with one another. Even in stressful situations, the team doesn't notice it. Unfortunately, due to inflation and the higher purchase prices, the price of the food has increased slightly, but it is absolutely within the range. The portions can be selected as small or normal. In my opinion, the way it is served is the same way I would put it on my plate at home, appetizing and without a lot of frills. For the little guests, after a successful “star search” on the children's menu, there is even a little surprise from the treasure chest. You can tell that the kitchen has a connection to the food, processes it to the best possible result and puts its heart into it. In summary, one can say that the company is worth a visit at any time and, especially in summer, you can indulge your cravings in the beer garden until you get kicked out. Families large and small, young and old will feel at home here. We are regular customers and have never been disappointed

Unfortunately the food wasn't good at all. Dessert tasted rancid, was underbaked and there was mold on the fruit. But the main course was excellent as always.

After initial problems with the reservation, it ultimately went really well. Despite the reservation confirmation from Quandoo, they couldn't find my reservation when I asked. Accordingly, the promised callback to clarify the menu did not initially materialize. At first we thought that was weak. But then they took care of the “matter” and confirmed the reservation again. The call back to put together the menu came promptly. So we went last weekend and weren't disappointed in any respect: very nice staff, great atmosphere and delicious food. The guests were consistently satisfied. The bus was allowed to park on the property, which made the drivers very happy. We'll definitely celebrate here again. Thanks for a few great hours.

Unfortunately, you're always sitting here like you're in a cage and it's very noisy (of course, they want to earn money somehow). Unfortunately, it's not quite the right place for cozy conversations. However, the kitchen and staff are great!

We were there as a group. A reservation could easily be moved forward. Food and drinks were super tasty and huge portions. You could even have the rest packed up. The service was very nice and quick. We definitely recommend you.

Get a place to eat at short notice without pre-ordering in the brewery restaurant, right next to the brewery. The waiter was initially very accommodating. I ordered a beer and a breaded pork schnitzel with fries. I think it's nice that you can order a small portion of almost every dish. I ordered the small portion and was really full. What a large portion looks like... The fries were a bit hard, but still acceptable. The schnitzel was excellent. The service was no longer such a hit, the waiter didn't inquire about any further requests and the items weren't cleared away; the empty plate sat on the table for what felt like an eternity. The counter was clean, the beer (0.5 l —> 4.30 EUR was tasty, as was the food. The toilets weren't that clean. Paper towels on the floor, etc. That could be better, but maybe it's because of Shrove Tuesday.

We won't go there anymore. Steamed dumplings are super miserable, very solid, sticky consistency, you can hardly chew them.

Eine Reise nach München hatte mich nun endlich auch mal ins Schweiger gebracht - der Abstecher hat sich gelohnt! Es ist typisch bayrisch - zu Mittag am Sonntag kommt die Familie mit Hund und Kegel. Alle Tische reserviert und innerhalb von 30 min. alles voll! Kleine, überschaubare Karte mit den wichtigsten Peaks - Suppe vorweg, Hauptgang mit Fleisch und wer´s dann noch schafft, einen Nachtisch. ich gebe zu - ich wollte, aber ich konnte einfach nicht mehr. Das was ich bekommen habe war lecker, grossportioniert, preislich einfach Topp... leider nicht in meiner Gegend, sonst wäre dies definitiv einer meiner Highlights - DANKE dafür!

Sehr gute Atmosphäre für ein gutes Bier! Ich bewerte nun die Biere, weil ich den Brauereigasthof schon einige Jahre nicht mehr besucht habe. Eine meiner absoluten Lieblingsbrauereien - Handwerkskunst des Bierbrauens auf sehr hohem Niveau. Ich empfehle es jedem, der es noch nicht probiert hat! Hopfen und Malz, Gott erhalt´s!!!

Die negativen Bewertungen können wir absolut nicht nachvollziehen. Wir besuchten das Brauhaus zwischen den Feiertagen ohne vorherige Reservierung. Trotz eines vollen und reservierten Brauhauses hat sich der Kellner aller größte Mühe gegeben, einen Tisch für uns zu organisieren. Die Hauptspeisen, dass Dessert und die Getränke wurden sehr schnell serviert und schmeckten super lecker. Der Service war rund um perfekt. Der Kellner war sehr freundlich und aufmerksam. Wir kommen gerne wieder und können das Brauhaus absolut empfehlen.
