Very good, tasty food. We are more than satisfied and can wholeheartedly recommend the restaurant.

The food tastes nothing special. For the price, you'd expect freshness and more. The sauces are just like the package, and that's it. €10 an hour for a bowling alley is fine. But another €10 for 30 minutes? A rip-off. €5 would have done the trick. I'd rather invest my money elsewhere, where they still offer quality for the price. They have a bar, but they close the restaurant at 10 p.m., which makes sense.

The beer garden outside is simply fantastic, with large, old trees providing lovely shade, especially in hot weather. The food is very good, the quantity is just right, and the service is very friendly. 👍😊

We stopped there during our bike tour and received a friendly and courteous welcome. Our dog immediately got his own water bowl, and we received excellent service. Everything was truly wonderful, and the food was excellent. A well-deserved recommendation from me.

As always, delicious food. The staff and atmosphere were excellent. The daily specials were very extensive and delicious. The waffles were also excellent. We're always happy to come back.

Waited 2 hours for food and then got a stupid answer

We were thoroughly impressed by the Schützenheide restaurant in Bergkamen. The ambiance is appealing and stylishly modernized – a successful blend of coziness and contemporary design. We ate in the beer garden, which offers a very pleasant, relaxed atmosphere. Our main courses were all a delight: A grilled platter with beef fillet, pork fillet, chicken fillet, rump steak, and delicious bacon-wrapped beans, truly worthy of their name – finished with real bacon and fine onions. Each piece of meat was perfectly cooked, juicy, and flavorful. A gourmet schnitzel topped with broccoli, ham, and cheese – hearty, filling, and very tasty. A chicken burger with a delicate Dijon sauce – juicy, harmoniously seasoned, and made with fresh ingredients. The portions were generous and filling. We were particularly impressed by the fries: nicely crispy and golden brown on the outside, pleasantly soft on the inside – exactly as you'd expect. The staff was extremely attentive, friendly, and accommodating. A particularly nice touch: our dogs were given fresh water immediately – without even asking. The Schützenheide's prices are absolutely fair for the quality offered, the generous portions, and the great service. In conclusion: A place we would gladly return to – both for the food and the friendly service. A definite recommendation!

We had reserved a table at 6:45 p.m. and didn't receive our food until around 8:45 p.m. Unfortunately, during the entire wait, we weren't given a reason for the delay or even offered an apology. The wait of over two hours was simply unreasonable and seriously spoiled the evening. On the positive side, I can say that the food tasted good. However, for us, the disappointment with the process and the lack of communication outweighed everything.

Unfortunately the food was only lukewarm, the broccoli was too salty, the steak was overcooked and cold so that not even the herb butter that was served with it had melted... the salad was specially ordered without corn because of an allergy, but there was still corn in the salad. The server wanted to bring a new one straight away, but I refused... sorry but I was suspicious... and then I didn't get charged for the salad either... all in all we won't be eating there again. I wouldn't recommend it either.

YUM!!!! We had dinner there to try out the new management, we were pleasantly impressed. Started with the garlic shrimp appetizer, then I had a Gorgonzola filet steak with pasta. My husband had the beef tips in pepper mushroom cream sauce with rostis. The sauce was incredible! Service was very friendly and attentive. Definitely going back again! Love the new style in the bar area!

The Schützenheide is worth a visit!!!! Excellent food 🤤 We had Argentinian beef fillet tips, a Smutjes fish platter, and warm apple rings... Service was friendly, competent, and unobtrusive. I'd love to come back!!!!!

We had lunch, three courses for €12.50. Very tasty, portions were generous, and the atmosphere was great.

I ate there yesterday. And I sat outside. The Röstitaler (10/10) were extremely tasty 😋 . The spinach schnitzel (8/10) was delicious. But unfortunately, the spinach schnitzel wasn't hot 🔥 enough. Hence only 4 stars 🌟 . I had Vita Malz to drink. But you can't go wrong with that anyway.

We were there with eight people in June when the weather was nice. But the table wasn't reserved in the beer garden; they don't do that. A large schnitzel menu, and then a tasteless frozen schnitzel. Tasteless and a no-go for a restaurant. Service was understaffed, and drinks took 30 minutes to arrive. The steaks were good, apparently. For us, the experience wasn't positive.

We were there with 40 people for the funeral service. The reservation was for 12:00 p.m., but after a long wait and guests pushing and shoving, the appetizer arrived around 1:30 p.m. The wait was far too long, and some guests left the place in impatience. There was a lack of cutlery and napkins; we had to beg for everything. In any case, that was the last time we ate there.

We had a lovely outdoor seating here today and had a very good meal. The menu is very varied, with something for everyone. The staff is very friendly; we'll definitely be back.

Great beer garden. We stopped by for dinner on June 17, 2025, at short notice. She had the Braumeister schnitzel and I had fish. Even though it wasn't full, my companion got the wrong schnitzel. The price/performance ratio wasn't good. I threw away my fish right away at home. We won't be going here again.

Full of anticipation, three of us went to dinner. All three women ate a salad: two with salmon and one with asparagus. Unfortunately, I have to say that the salads were a real joke for the price. The salads were unimaginative and poorly prepared; the green part might have come from a bag, you had to hunt for tomatoes and cucumbers because there were so few of them, and the dressing also seemed to have been bought ready-made, and at €20.50, the price was completely exorbitant.

Unfortunately I have to take back my 5 star review because a week later we experienced total chaos when we went bowling with 8 people and then had a meal. Despite the digital ordering app, it worked more than moderately, both with drinks and food. With the well-filled restaurant, the service and kitchen were completely overwhelmed. In addition, the prices on the card did not match the prices in the app, which resulted in price differences. The numbers in front of the dishes were sometimes assigned twice, so that the wrong dishes were served. Our table was reserved, but not free and although the orders were placed about an hour in advance, the waiting time was about 3/4 hour. The service staff often ran around haphazardly or talked in the kitchen. My dish was not complete according to the menu, the vegetables were missing and the price/performance ratio was not satisfactory. Conclusion: with the gastronomic understanding of a fast food restaurant, it will be difficult to run a restaurant of this size, especially if the beer garden and events are added in the summer. >>> We were there for dinner with two people on Sunday evening to test the restaurant after a long time and now under new management. We celebrated “Dance into May” there with the group Burning Heart with an entrance fee of €15. We think €3 for a 0.2 glass of beer or €4.50 for a 0.33 mix is ​​already excessive 👎. Bratwurst and kebab have been completely avoided. The service was okay so far. Going to party is no longer possible

After initial problems, which have now largely been solved, I can describe the food as excellent again. It is tasty and the quantity is absolutely sufficient. The service still has room for improvement but you can definitely tell that work is being done on it. The typical German food is absolutely great. After initially being reluctant to try Lebanese cuisine, I am now a real fan of it. The dishes are very, very tasty and sometimes quite cleverly prepared and the desserts are in a class of their own (be sure to try them, they are a taste highlight). I can really only recommend going there and just trying something out. Of course not everyone will like it, but I'm absolutely thrilled.

Das Essen war sehr lecker und der Service sehr freundlich. Super ist der Spielplatz vor der Tür. Einen Punkt abzug gibt es nur weil der Spielturm ein bisschen reperarurbedürftig ist.

Wir hatten Cordon Bleu und Schnitzel. Beides war frisch zubereitet und sehr lecker. Draußen ist ein Biergarten, bei schönem Wetter top. Service war aufmerksam und freundlich. Gerne wieder 😃

Das war am 17.6 eine super Veranstaltung in der Schützenheide ! Das Service Personal war freundlich aufmerksam und immer präsent. Das Essen war wie immer einfach nur gut, es hat uns Allen sehr gut geschmeckt. Wir kommen gerne wieder !!

Das Essen war super nur wenn man mit sechs sieben Mann Essen geht dann trinken bestellt was man sich das selber merken muss was wer getrunken hat ist bei sieben Leuten ein bisschen schwer über den Abend deswegen sollte man das lieber auf einem Deckel schreiben ansonsten war es ein sehr schöner Abend mit gutem Essen. Meine Schwester war begeistert, wir Steak Esser hatten keine Probleme. Das Essen war super, wir kommen gerne wieder.

Schönes Restaurant mit Kegelbahnen und großen Biergarten. Die angeboten Speisen schmeckten gut und das Preis-/Leistungsverhältnis ist OK. Ein Salat Buffet ist bei allen Gerichten inklusive. Die Räumlichkeiten eignen sich Feiern aller Art. An Wochenenden sollte man reservieren. Parkmöglichkeiten sind am Lokal vorhanden.
