I had the Thai curry and was generally dissatisfied with the portion size (very small, even with the starter and dessert), the rice-to-curry ratio (very little curry), and the lack of seasoning. Plus, everything is relatively expensive, which doesn't make things any better. But the dog statues on the tables are quite cute.

Everything was good: food, service, and ambiance. However, there are points deducted in all areas because it's not perfect: the menu is varied and constantly changes, but there are always a few classics. Unfortunately, our Viennese veal schnitzel with potato salad was extremely small for the high price, and you couldn't really call it potato salad; it was very mushy and tasted more like mashed potatoes. Nevertheless, everything tasted good. The fish was well prepared, but there was far too much mashed potato on the plate. The service was friendly, but unfortunately not always up to scratch. There is still room to improve that. Ambience: Cozy, but the seating is quite cramped inside and it's extremely stuffy, especially in the small room at the back.

A perfect business lunch in a fantastic location… attentive service, the food is of very high quality, and everything is fresh – I'll definitely come here again with my husband. The outdoor area is fantastic. I felt very comfortable.

Booked on the basis of others‘ reviews and we were not disappointed. Food was absolutely delicious. Our table was right beside a large group who unfortunately encroached on our space somewhat. But the charming staff, who offered us a complementary dessert, turned what would have been a negative into an absolute positive. 10/10 for customer service. Recommended.

A wonderful restaurant in a charming corner of the south of the city. For years, it's been our first choice when it comes to celebrating a special occasion or simply enjoying a pleasant evening. The place is inviting, the staff extremely friendly and welcoming – you immediately feel at home. The cuisine is sophisticated: from the appetizers to the desserts, you'll always experience a delicious surprise. I particularly appreciate the weekday lunch menu – a little break with good food at a fair price. I still remember the spaghetti with shrimp, which transported me straight back to Italy. Highly recommended and a reliable address.

Schumann's has an excellent menu with absolutely reasonable value for money. In my opinion, there are few restaurants that offer such creative dishes with correspondingly high-quality ingredients at such reasonable prices. Furthermore, the atmosphere is light and pleasant, both in summer and in autumn and winter, when the outdoor area develops a very special charm thanks to the very cozy tents. The owner is on site every day and oversees the service, which has a very positive effect. The other staff are also always friendly and attentive. For these reasons, Schumann's is one of my favorite restaurants in Bonn.

The price-performance ratio is unfortunately truly abysmal. The boring Caesar salad for €17 consisted only of lettuce and dressing. They omitted the obligatory Parmesan cheese, but instead included two stalks (!). (I've only ever seen something like that at McDonald's.) The even bigger hit, however, was a very mediocre scallop ceviche for €27, which consisted of just TWO clams. I've rarely felt so ripped off.

What a stroke of luck! Near our hotel, we found this wonderful restaurant with a varied menu and unusual daily specials. Among other dishes, they served grilled swordfish with delicious side dishes. For dessert, a lemon square with berry ragout and ice cream – both a feast for the eyes! The positive taste experience and the extremely attentive service, which came across as friendly and unpretentious, made our visit to the restaurant a highlight. We highly recommend "Schumann's" and will definitely return on our next visit to Bonn. Many thanks to the team!

A fantastic, very varied menu. There are also daily specials. The Basque beef fillet with chanterelle mushrooms and the grilled swordfish were perfect. Excellent value for money. We'd be happy to come back.

Schumann's is a year-round favorite for us. The food is always excellent, the service top-notch, and you can sit either in the beautiful garden or in the lovingly designed interior, which always offers a special ambiance with seasonal decorations. We come back regularly and always enjoy it.

I got lucky that the other place was closed. I found Schumanns by chance, but couldn't be happier. Very nice and secluded little oasis of a garden. Friendly and attentive staff. Food came almost suspiciously fast, but the quality was top notch, so only positive. Happy to try and raise the average rating from 4,8. 😁

Excellent service from Mo. We'd love to come back, and the beef fillet with fregola sarda was excellent and cooked to perfection. The food is in no way inferior to the service at Sacheb. A must-try for a delicious meal!

Great place. Beautiful outdoor area under a huge parasol. Attentive, competent, and super friendly service. The food was really good. The kitchen is amazing. We had prawns for starters, Thai curry, and the cauliflower with pistachio hummus and a large, crisp salad. We always enjoy coming back to Schuhmann's from Cologne. Highly recommended.

We spontaneously stopped by Schumann's for lunch. We had our newborn with us. We immediately felt welcomed when we were told, "Why don't you sit there? It's the most comfortable place with the baby." The food (cannelloni and fried fish) was delicious and served quickly. The cappuccino was really good, and the apple pie was fresh and delicious. The service (by the owners) was very attentive, despite the busy tables. We'd love to come back!

Used to be one of my favorite restaurants. Great food, very attentive service! Unfortunately, the portions seem to be getting smaller and more expensive lately, and the service has also deteriorated. I hope they don't rest on their laurels at the Südstadt location and return to a better value. The food is still excellent, but I was shocked by the small portions recently and was almost ashamed of my recommendation. Let's do it again like it was a year ago, because Schumann's is one of the best and most comfortable restaurants in Bonn!

Auch der Fisch war auf den Punkt gebraten. Alles in allem eine eindeutige Empfehlung. Die Inhaberin des Restaurant's hatte auch noch Zeit für nette Worte.

Really great restaurant in the middle of Bonn's Südstadt. The chef is really good and can cook!!! In addition to the “normal” menu, there is also a daily changing lunch menu with a very good price-performance ratio and super nice and competent restaurateurs… what more could you want!
