We were last here in 2018 and now we're heading there specifically. To our delight, this restaurant has survived the coronavirus madness and the resulting decline in restaurants. Excellent service, excellent food, and a quaint atmosphere. All in all, another successful visit. Very busy despite the location outside of Eisenberg. Quality always prevails. Keep it up!

We wanted to stop here for dinner while passing through. We checked the internet beforehand; it was open until 9 p.m., and the kitchen closes at 8:30 p.m. Several unsuccessful calls between 6:15 and 7 p.m. So we spontaneously made a 30-minute detour, only to be told that the kitchen closes at 7:50 p.m. I'm putting this down to the widespread staff shortage, and also the fact that no one answers the phone. I give credit to the nice lady for checking with the kitchen for us and then giving us alternative suggestions. I called them, and they didn't serve hot food at 7:55 p.m. either. Conclusion: Drive to Eisenberg earlier or avoid it altogether. The atmosphere in the fireplace room made a very good impression, and it was well attended, surely a sign of good quality. Perhaps we'll try again.

A rustic, down-to-earth, and extremely cozy restaurant nestled in the middle of the forest between sports fields. A place like from days long gone, yet never forgotten!!! Here, the world seems to still be in order. A true dream of interior design, with a touch of hunting culture. You can embark on a culinary journey from the nostalgia of the past and relive old childhood memories. This ingenious package guarantees you a successful and convivial dinner, coupled with a hangover the next day. That is, of course, if you haven't renounced the nourishing beer. 😉🍺

Since the only way to eat there is by pre-ordering, and this can only be done by phone at the number provided, which is either busy or no one answers, it's now impossible to stop by. What a shame 👋 I tried to make a reservation again after a long time. I spent two days dialing my fingers raw - no luck. For me, that's finally over.

Unfortunately, we were kept waiting at the entrance. Unfortunately, we weren't even worth a quick visit. There was space because other guests were coming towards us. Then we left. Since we didn't get to eat, I can't comment on that.

The interior of this restaurant is top-notch, the service at the table was friendly, unfortunately no consideration was given to guests inside, people were talking loudly to their grandpa on the phone, arguing with the chef and complaining about dirty glasses, all of this happened very loudly and did not make a good impression. The food was lukewarm, the meat was not cooked through and the mushrooms were frozen, unfortunately not what I expected. The pesto pasta was only made with garlic and parsley, a far cry from pesto, all in all not worth it for us as we drove for an hour. I had expected much more from this evening.

We've been to the Kaminstube twice, and everything was great both times. Excellent service, our drinks arrived super quickly, and the food is so delicious. Everything is freshly prepared and, as I said, absolutely delicious, and at a reasonable price. Highly recommended.

A truly quaintly decorated restaurant with excellent cuisine! From the outside, you wouldn't guess how big the restaurant really is, but it still has a cozy, rustic feel. We ate here as part of a larger group on Whitsun Sunday. From taking our drink orders, ordering our food, and serving us, even during the meal, the staff were friendly and professional. Everything tasted delicious. I can't remember the last time we ate so well. Highly recommended.

We stopped for a quick dinner to get a German experience away from the highway on our way to Italy. It was a great break for traveling and it was a perfect combination of local atmosphere and good food. The restaurant is next to the local football team’s stadium which is really strange in an awesome way. Will make it a tradition when road tripping!

We happened upon this wonderful restaurant on a whim while passing through. However, we were very lucky and the very friendly staff were able to offer us a table, as it was really busy. (So it's best to make a reservation!) Super friendly staff and the food was truly amazing! We immediately felt welcome. If we're ever passing through again, it's definitely worth a visit.

I'll start with the ambiance 🥰why only 3 stars 🌟. I don't want to write something wrong ✍️, but I think the furs were still on the benches for a while even in summer (or )? Am I wrong... and it's not there anymore. 🥰 The food is so my style, and I also think the many animals are cute. I know not everyone likes it... but okay. This restaurant is my personal favorite, everything is very cozy, especially in winter. There is a warming fire and great food. I had duck breast with red cabbage and dumplings. The dish couldn't be topped in terms of perfection. The red cabbage was a poem, as was the preparation of the duck breast and the dumplings. Thank you for still getting such great home-made food here. The drinks menu also leaves nothing to be desired. You even get Bavarian beer. You're great.

We didn't have a reservation and were rudely sent away even though the store was completely empty. Of course we couldn't try the food but the staff was very, very unfriendly!!

Very tasty food in a special atmosphere

Actually, I don't want to advertise here until every last person discovers this gem of German hospitality. Because anyone who still has something to complain about after visiting the fireplace room can no longer be helped. The Kaminstube is actually three guest rooms in a rustic and very attractive ambience (in the middle of the forest between two sports fields). When the fireplace is sizzling away (which, by the way, is in all three rooms), it can hardly be more beautiful. We sat down at 3:00 p.m. as there were still enough free tables. In the evening the whole thing looked completely different: there were no more free tables available. So be sure to reserve! Between 2 p.m. and 5 p.m. there is only a small menu, but you shouldn't let that put you off: the selection is still large enough. The service was very friendly and quick, with a good price-performance ratio. When we left the place we already knew that we had to come back. Thank you very much for the experience!

We also liked the senior portion offering. We give five stars to our extremely nice, friendly and competent service. That's hard to beat. Children are welcome and have their wishes fulfilled. At the end of 2024, we had lunch with our employees in Schortental to mark the end of the year. Of course we had reserved and ordered a 3-course menu. It was fantastic, the food was delicious, the service was extremely friendly and accommodating. This was a perfect end to the year for us and we would like to take this opportunity to thank you very much. Two tiny comments - contacting us and making arrangements was a bit difficult for us as we had to wait a long time for an offer, hence the 4 stars for service. And the many draped animals are appropriate for this location, but they urgently need cleaning/dedusting. Some of it looks very unpleasant, hence the point deduction. But overall recommended.

We visited for the second time this year (in the summer and on December 26th). Unfortunately, our experience was repeated: there was no vegetarian dish to be found on the menu. When I asked, I was again rudely rejected. I wasn't offered a solution for something vegetarian either - apparently the service staff didn't care whether I got something to eat. I then ate fries. Disappointing. -.-

The restaurant is located a little outside Eisenberg, but is very easy to reach. When you enter you are immediately overwhelmed by the rustic ambience, natural wood, fur... Simply rustic and cozy. The service was good, the employees were friendly and attentive. The food was ok. The grill plate was a bit intensely salted and the roast game was unfortunately too dry. Overall we felt comfortable, even if the restaurant was perhaps a bit overloaded in terms of decoration.

Great restaurant with a great hut atmosphere. Cozy and warm even in winter thanks to the fireplace in the dining room. Very nice staff and a menu with a great selection. We can highly recommend the duck and the bread sticks. There's no long wait for the food, but you should make a reservation even during the week. The path from the parking lot to the restaurant is not lit in the dark. The quality of the food was above average - we will definitely be back!

We were there today (the 2nd of Advent) with 2 children and 2 friends... The young waitress with the butterflies on her neck was very friendly and accommodating... We felt very taken care of... let's come to dinner... It was excellent and very tasty (thanks and greetings to the kitchen), I have rarely eaten so well👍 Now about the restaurants... you see them from the outside and when you walk through the door you are in a completely different time, we were very impressed and the ambience was simply beautiful and was in harmony with the food. We will definitely recommend it and come back ourselves

I can absolutely recommend this restaurant. A restaurant with a great atmosphere (very quaint), extremely tasty food and very friendly service. You should reserve a table in advance. The journey is a bit adventurous. In addition, the free parking lot is on the forest floor and is currently covered by fallen leaves, making it unclear where you can and cannot park. You shouldn't let this or the short walk past a dilapidated club house and football pitch put you off, because when you arrive at the restaurant you feel like you're in a cozy ski hut. This place has something magical and invites you to linger.

Successful surprise! Located somewhat out of the way and not visible from the outside, we had one of the best family meals here. The furnishings are reminiscent of an Alpine hut and are particularly atmospheric in autumn/winter. The menu has something to offer for everyone. Prices are fair, the food was consistently very good and not overpriced. Competent service - thank you and gladly again.
