We were looking for authentic German cuisine! We can only agree with the positive reviews here. Friendly and fast service in a lovely neighborhood atmosphere. The highlight was the super juicy chicken breast fillet with spaetzle. A definite recommendation. See you next time!

Este lugar realmente tiene todo el paquete. Un ambiente cálido y acogedor, un servicio genuinamente amable y deliciosa comida que se siente tradicional y refrescantemente moderna. El personal fue fantástico desde el principio - que rápidamente y amablemente ajustaron nuestra reserva, explicó el menú con claridad, y atendió las peticiones especiales con una sonrisa y un buen sentido del humor. El menú ofrece platos alemanes clásicos con un toque más vegetariano - amigable, que escuchamos que es una nueva dirección bajo los propietarios actuales. Todo lo que probamos estaba muy bien preparado y lleno de sabor. Y justo cuando pensamos que no podía mejorar, nuestro camarero se sentó al piano y nos invitó a una pequeña actuación musical, una encantadora sorpresa que hizo que la noche fuera inolvidable. Este restaurante es un hallazgo raro: auténtico, generoso y lleno de personalidad. Muy recomendable!

Thank you for the nice welcome. Four of us came, were seated and served by friendly service. The food was delicious, although I found the Cordon Bleu for $24 a bit small given its size😁. The currywurst was missing a little salt, but that's complaining at a high level. Thank you very much and we'll be happy to come back

There used to be more tinsel!! I've eaten here many times but haven't eaten here for 1.5 years. Now tried it again and well, the food was still tasty but it used to be a little better. The mushrooms on my plate were half cold and my cask soda was no longer carbonated. Service disappointed me a bit. The waiter asked if we wanted something more to drink and turned around at the same moment; we couldn't think that quickly. When the food came we were "reprimanded" not to put our arms on the table so that he would have room to put the food on. Maybe it was meant to be funny, but it wasn't. At the end, tips were actively requested when we paid at the counter, something like that is not nice. My 93-year-old grandma looked at the turrets for a while and was promptly yelled at by the waiter from a distance not to touch anything. The service experience used to be nicer and more heartfelt, which is a shame because the store is otherwise really nice.

We had dinner. Making the reservation was easy. When we got inside, a blond and energetic lady escorted us to our table. We where with three persons, one eight year old. We ordered nice cold Berlin beers from the tap. And our daughter had an apple juice. For dinner we ordered flamkuche, 1/4 goose and beef with spatzle. All came quickly and hot. We also had a big salat. All was good. We enjoyed the German food. And it wasn’t expensive.

There were five of us in the restaurant and we felt completely at home. The food was really tasty and varied - each of us found something that we really liked. We particularly liked the friendly service, which made the evening even more enjoyable. We had a relaxing and lovely evening and will definitely be back!

The Schöneberger WeltLaterne is a quaint Berlin pub, similar to the small Weltlanterne in 10709 Berlin in Wilmersdorf. It's just that you can eat a little better here. There are not only meatballs, tarte flambée and currywurst like in the small Wild Laterne in Wilmersdorf, but also Berlin home cooking such as beef roulades, knuckle, knuckle of pork, veal liver Berlin style etc. The dessert offering is also very good: red groats, mousse au chocolat Kaiserschmarrn, apple fritters etc. The kitchen is therefore highly recommended. Beer selection is also very large. We had the Berliner Landbier, 04 for €4.80, the liver is also highly recommended for around €21 and the young pork roast for €20. We were there with our friend Christoph, who is a gifted piano player and entertained us and the guests on the piano there. The atmosphere was great The live piano playing created a wonderful atmosphere. The people suddenly became happy. It wasn't very crowded that Friday evening, and yet we stayed until 12:40. The atmosphere made it easy!!! We got into conversation with other guests and it was a successful, happy evening.

You have to like the ambience, it's a journey back in time to the 80s. The food is typically German (hock of pork, roulades, dumplings, etc.) with a modern twist. The service was super nice and accommodating.

Wir gingen in das Restaurant rein und wurden von einer älteren, mürrischen Dame Empfangen und hatten dann schon keinen Appetit mehr. Aus Höflichkeit setzten wir uns trotzdem hin. Der Laden wirkt sehr eng und die Luft ist auch sehr stickig. Als wir die Rinderroulade bestellen wollten sagte man uns sie sei aus und der Koch hätte ALLEE anderen Sachen vorbereitet. Trotz alle dessen mussten wir 1h auf unser Schnitzel warten. Das Schnitzel war Stellenweise Verbrannt und die Bratkartoffel waren so dick das sie noch roh waren innen. Daraufhin haben wir schnell aufgegessen und wollten so schnell wie möglich aus dem Restaurant raus. Auf Trinkgeld und Auf Wiedersehen gab es keine Resktion von der Wirtin. Zusammengefasst werden wir diesen Laden nie wieder betreten!

Wir hatten für 23 Personen reserviert und es war alles für uns vorbereitet. Das Lokal besticht mit seiner Einrichtung welch irgendwie aus der Zeit gefallen zu sein scheint. Das Essen war gut und das Personal fast durchgängig sehr freundlich einer der Kellner erschien etwas überengagiert. Alles n allem aber eine Empfehlung. Das Preis- Leistungsverhältnis stimmt und wir werden wieder kommen. Nur eine Anmerkung zum Essen muss sein. Das angepriesen Gemüse der Saison war tiefkühlgemüse. Das sollte in Gaststätten aus unsere Sicht nicht vorkommen.

Very rustic Berlin pub, very tasty food, good beer, we sat outside but the interior is second to none. Absolutely unique. We were among a lot of “regulars” from the immediate neighborhood. Any time again - we felt very comfortable and ate very well.

Als Gruppe wurden wir zügig aber auch „rigide“ bedient. Nett, dass auf Extrawünsche eingegangen wurde. Allen schmeckten die -mehr oder weniger- Berliner Spezialitäten: Leckerer Salat mit knusprig panierter Hähnchenbrust, Buletten, Rouladen, Haxe …. aber auch Vegetarisches. Preis-Leistungsverhältnis stimmt hier noch.

Oh, it was powerful! The portion is huge and we couldn't finish it, so we took the rest with us, we couldn't leave it as it is incredibly delicious! The atmosphere of the establishment is perfect for this establishment and helps to enjoy and soak up this vibe. We had a pleasant conversation with the service staff, she politely answered our questions and gave advice on food and drinks))

Pretty restaurant with a unique interior. Unfortunately the quality of the food was poor: the pork was over cooked and dry whereas the Berliner bollette was over cooked and over crispy. The beer could have been colder. On a positive note, the side salad was good. This was meant to be our typical German dinner… big disappointment.

Very well located restaurant near the very beautiful Victoria Luise Platz. The atmosphere in the restaurant is a bit rustic, but that also makes it very cozy. You can also sit outside on nice days. The service was not bland, but very friendly and accommodating. The food is typically German and hearty. It was good and the price-performance ratio is still right.

Llevamos años viniendo cuando llegamos a Berlín. Nos decepcionó la comida de este viaje. Pero no a la altura de sus estándares habituales. Realmente no los restaurantes tienen la culpa, pero estábamos sentados fuera y teníamos dos personas empezar a fumar cerca de nosotros, así que no nos quedamos por el desierto y café. Vi a otro grupo irse también debido al tabaquismo.

Non sono nemmeno arrivata ad assaggiare il cibo. Il cameriere era così odioso che avrei preferito mangiare un panino al mc. Scostumato e non parlava nemmeno una parola di inglese.

I can really recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for Berlin cuisine in a cozy and rustic setting. A great atmosphere. And despite the many guests, it's not too loud. The service was very friendly. The drinks and food came quicker than expected. I ordered the Berliner Boulette, which was really large and homemade. There was also apple red cabbage and boiled potatoes. The taste is really very, very good. And the portions are large, so everyone should be satisfied. The prices are perfectly fine. I didn't think it was too high. And: It is advisable to reserve a table online.

The two owners were very courteous, the potato and tomato soups were good - the paprika goulash and the pork were excellent. we spent around 60 euros between us. Very abundant dishes

Very kind and funny owner and waitress, telling stories from old days in Germany As german speaking dane I always am treated very kindly when visiting Germany I like germans very much and they like danes also, I believe I ordered an ok schnitzel, it was good, but my dughter ordered a sellery steak which was just excellent! Have you never been to the Schöneberg Weltlanterne? Well it's time to go. If you go on a Friday, get ready to eat tasty German food, enjoy a live singer and if you're lucky, the owner of the place will sing and perform for the diners and you'll love it. The menu is in German and English, prices for main dishes start at 12 euros... I'll be back for sure and I'll bring some friends!

Was there with colleagues for the Christmas party. We only chose the store because it was near a bowling alley. Was pretty full. Horribly bad music. Waited almost two hours for pre-ordered food. Waitress was absolutely overwhelmed with everything. My meal: "Schnitzel cordon bleu" was a piece of pork with cheese in it, the size of a woman's fist...without ham. The taste was ok... the others said the dishes were inedible... There really isn't more than one star...

The menu includes SUPER German specialties!!! The service is GREAT! They should only teach the cook to read the orders correctly, because he obviously has "little problems" with that 😀 But the service tried very hard to "fix" everything!! Good recommendation for a harmonious & culinary evening

Das Ambiente dieses Lokals ist schon etwas besonderes, was man vom Essen nicht behaupten kann. Die Kalbsleber war bielleicht einmaldurch heißes Wasser gezogen worden, völlig lappig. Der "warme Apfelstrudel" war noch halb gefroren, die Mousse au Chocalat hatte das selbe Schicksal. Die Bedienung war ok. Der zugewisene Platz am Fenster war kalt und zugig. Einen zweiten Besuch wird es von uns nicht mehr geben.

Bestellung Getränke: Was haben Sie für Bier? Habe keine Zeit für Beratung. Lesen Sie die Karte.... Frage/Anmerkung: Nach einer (!) Stunde Wartezeit wären wir nun bereit für das Essen, Antwort: Sie sehen doch wir sind voll... Wir haben uns dann dafür entschuldigt, dass wir dort Gast waren. Speisen sind viel und riesig, aber mit viel Liebe aus der Dose/Tüte befreit. Bezahlvorgang hat dann noch 20 Minuten gedauert. Mein Tipp: Geht woanders hin!

Wir haben Gans bestellt für 32,50 Euro. Gans zäh, Rotkohl angedickt (nie so schlecht gegessen) Soße geschmacklos. Klöße aus der Tüte. Wir waren sehr enttäuscht und werde nicht wiederkommen.

Leider nicht wie erwartet.Es war rappelvoll und extrem laut.(Vorweihnachtszeit).Die zwei Kellner waren etwas überfordert und das Essen (Jungschweinebraten) ist mir nicht bekommen.Durch Personalmangel passiert sowas leider .

Samstagstreff in der weltlaterne. Gemütlich aber zu eng!! Fürs Essen punktabzug da kartoffelpürree aus der Tüte das hab ich schon 30jahre nicht erlebt;-( Die Chefin völlig planlos , das Essen kam wild durcheinander und Vorspeisen und Hauptgänge zusammen. Preis/Leistung stimmt hier überhaupt nicht. Und kleiner Tip: Bitte die Teller mal richtig spülen;-( wenn man als Gast nach unten fasst (hui) Ein weiteres No-Go ist den Kellner vor den Gästen runter zu machen. Wo bleibt der Respekt!! Ich habe selten so ein heilloses durcheinander erlebt.

I would not recommend this place to tourists. The waiter was rude and impatient, and not in the least welcoming. The service was poor - I felt completely ignored - and the food was mediocre. When I came here a couple of years before, which I did several times, it was much better, perhaps the ownership has changed.

Essen 1 Stern: Ich hatte die Klopse Königsberger Art für ca 19€. Erhalten habe ich 2 Klopse mit einem Durchmesser von ca 3 cm und etwas Kartoffelbrei. Preis-Leistung sehr ungenügend. Wir hatten auch das Cordon-Bleu (was ebenfalls sehr klein war) - hier waren die Bratkartoffeln kalt. Service 4 Sterne: Nettes Personal. Auf unsere Reklamation mit den kalten Bratkartoffeln wurde eingegangen. Leider waren sie nach erneutem erhitzen nicht wirklich wärmer. Ambiente 5 Sterne: Liebevolle Atmosphäre im urigen Design.

Sehr beliebte Kneipe mit sehr leckeren Speisen. Auf Wünsche wird eingegangen. Man sollte unbedingt einen Tisch reservieren.

We have waited quite long for the food which was then really good.

Beate deutsche Küche seit Jahren. Alles, aber auch wirklich jedes Gericht und dirme jeweiligen Zutaten, Beilagen waren perfekt. Die Haxe von hochwertigem Schwein (das schmeckt man) perfekt gegart, innen saftig, rosa, aber durch, die Kriluste knackig, aber essbar, nicht wie sonst oft, mehr Kautschuk als Kruste; selbstgemachte Bratheringe, super, Sauerkrau, Rotkehlchen, frisch aus dem Topf, Konsistenz und Knackigkeit zugleich. Der Service sehr, sehr freundlich,.Obwohl wir als nicht deutsche Touristen erkennbar waren. Und dann, die musikalische Begleitung: Zille at its best. Toller Ort. Allein eine Reise wert.

Macht weiter so es schmeckt immer gut hier das Personal ist immer freundlich wenn ich in Berlin bin dann versuche ich am mittwoch zu kommen um die riesen kohlrolade zu essen sie schmeckt ausgezeichnet wie bei Mutters zu hause 👍

Leider hat die Küche gegenüber den letzten Jahren etwas nachgelassen. Der Spruch " Der Jungschweinkrustenbraten hat bei uns keine Kruste mehr" wird mir allerdings in keiner guten Erinnerung bleiben. In den letzten zehn Jahren habe ich die Gaststätte immer wieder gerne empfohlen und war in den vergangenen Jahren eigentlich nie enttäuscht... Trotzdem ist es noch immer ein interessantes Ambiente...

Super nette Bedienung...der Kellner sieht aus wie TV Mälzer.freundliche Bedienung,gemütliches Ambiente und tolles Essen zu gutem Preis.Wir waren zufrieden und kommen wieder.

Wir hatten einen stimmungsvollen Abend in uriger Altberliner Atmosphäre und authentischen leckeren Speisen. Besonders toll die superknusprige Schweinshaxe, aussen legendär knusprig und innen gleichermaßen saftig und zart. Dazu klasse Kölsch und fränkisches Dunkelbier sowie sehr guten roten Sizilianer. Wir haben den Abend auch wegen der besonders netten Betreuung durch die Dame im Service sehr genossen.

Auch wenn wir das 1. Mal dort waren, fühlten wir uns sofort wohl. Das Essen war schmackhaft. Es passt einfach alles!!!

Das Essen und die Getränke sind gut, lecker und normal preisig. Bedienung ist flink und nett. Wir kommen wieder.

Das wirklich urige und gemütliche Restaurant lädt zum längeren Verweilen ein. Besonders das Essen war richtig gute Hausmannskost. Ich glaube dort hatte ich eines der besten Schnitzel mit Bratkartoffeln. Richtig knusprig und trotz deftigem Essen hatte ich alles gut vertragen. Die Bedienung ist freundlich, humorvoll und kann sogar Spagat. Im Sommer sitzt man gemütlich vor dem Lokal oder bei weit geöffneten Fenster auch direkt im Lokal und hat eine schöne Zeit. Kleiner Hinweis, die Preise auf der Website sind nicht mehr so ganz aktuell. Also nicht wundern, wenn das Schnitzel dann ein paar Euro mehr kostet. Es war es aber wert.

Wir waren gestern hier zum ersten Mal, aber ganz sicher nicht zum letzten Mal!!! Das Essen war sehr lecker, die Portionen angenehm groß, eine feine Auswahl der deutschen Küche. Die Preise auf der Karte stimmen allerdings nicht mit den Preisen im Internet überein, das müsste mal aktualisiert werden. Aber sonst: der Service war supernett und sehr aufmerksam, als würden wir uns ewig kennen. So macht das Spaß! Und das Lokal ist total urig, viele Bilder an der Wand, ein Klavier steht da, na so richtig Alt-Berliner Kneipe, toll! Wir kommen gern wieder!
