Nehring's is like a second home to us! After our weekend shows, we sit here together until the wee hours, eating schnitzel, currywurst, shashlik, or gyros, philosophizing about life, and having the time of our lives. Everyone's equal here; you just feel right at home. If anyone ever tells you that Cologne is "a feeling," they're talking about places like this. I've been waiting for my food for two hours now. The driver is driving all over Cologne but not where he's supposed to be. I can't reach anyone by phone either. This isn't the first time this has happened; I won't be ordering from them again.

We were there for the first time today. The food was absolutely delicious, I can highly recommend it! We had meatloaf with mashed potatoes and goulash with noodles. Simply fantastic!!! The decor is a little dated, but otherwise perfect!!!

Based on my experience, I can highly recommend the gyros pita, the homemade meatballs, and the beef goulash with noodles. Both are really delicious and reasonably priced. The staff is also very professional and extremely accommodating. I enjoy coming here (again and again) and ordering something.

Nehring's is a cult classic. One of the last classic chip shops in Cologne. It feels like this place has been open continuously since the 80s. No matter the time, you can always stop by Nehring's. Whether you're craving currywurst and fries, gyros, schnitzel, roulades, meatballs, or the BEST CHICKEN in town, there's something for everyone.

Very warm welcome and good food at a reasonable price.

I certainly don't want to speak ill of the neighboring kebab shops of Poldi, Mohamed, Mustafa, and Ali Baba, but it's nice that you can also enjoy German food at reasonable prices on Zülpicher Straße. Nehring has been recommended without reservation for decades.

In 2025, Nehring will continue to be a lovely place to enjoy a delicious, quick lunch, dinner, or evening meal. Zülpicher Straße wouldn't be the same without you! The homemade salads and hearty dishes all taste delicious. I haven't had gyro pita here in at least 10 years, though: maybe it's time to try it again soon.

Great food, good prices, and a friendly team! Always go there instead of ordering through Lieferando. They save on Lieferando fees and you can chat nicely with them ;)

Always good. Everything! Best currywurst around. My tip: The meatballs. With curry sauce and fries, for example. But goulash or roulade are always delicious, too.

We ordered on just eat, said 25 mins delivery from the beginning until an hour later then cancelled, wouldn’t pick the phone when we tried to call.

Completely old-school and, at least when I was there in person, really lovely ladies who were super welcoming and happy to accommodate my special requests. Super delicious gyros and chess lick

We were hungry for some hearty German food, and this little gem was a SUPER discovery! The portions were very generous, the food tasted fantastic, everything was clean...oh, and the tzatziki is perfect for meatballs and fried potatoes! I highly recommend this restaurant!

The customer is being ripped off here. There are worse things, but it shows how disgusting people's thinking is: There's a sign outside that says "French Fries €3.20." When you go in, you just order fries. But here, they suddenly offer two sizes, and of course, no one asks you which portion size you mean. They just make you the large one, and in the end, you're out €6. Honestly, I would have preferred to get a kebab from the competition instead of getting a mountain of fried potatoes that are ultimately worthless...

The employee in the evening never listens to me and gives me the wrong order that I never ordered.

One of the few German snack bars in Cologne where, in addition to many German dishes, you can also get freshly grilled, crispy, and delicious half chickens for €6.90. The food is delicious, and the owners are very friendly and conscientious.

When I visit Cologne, I have to go to Nehring at least once and pick up some good home cooking. Meatloaf, fricassee - wonderful. Fast and friendly service and the opening times are very, very attractive.

Absolute hidden champion among all the other restaurants. Surprisingly the best Gyros Pita I have ever eaten in Germany. Staff is also super friendly. The boss even took a photo with us. My friends just call this restaurant “temple”. 100% recommendation.

I've actually never had any problems in the store. But today the cashier didn't pay attention to the money, which is why I got 5 € short. When I asked the cashier about it, she immediately became aggressive and instead of admitting her mistake, she insisted that I gave her a 5 € note instead of a 10 € note But I only had €10 bills in my pocket. Especially the store has cameras why can't you just look into the camera. But the boss solved the problem. This is the first time this has happened and I don't think it will happen again. As I said, this is a cult grill. I really hope that something like this doesn't happen again. I just can't afford it. Overall the store is good.

30 years ago as a student, I got to know the really, really good fast food joint and I still enjoy being a regular customer today because the price/performance ratio is simply great. is and the family business is always hospitable and correct. Cheers to the New Year...to the next 30 years

Everything was fine, gladly again.

Here you can get really tasty and nutritious food at a good price. It's also quite centrally located and a tip for students. I really like it here.

Unfortunately, the currywurst was very mushy. Diluted curry ketchup sauce. Too bad... fries good.

New favorite snack in Cologne. Great value for money. Jägerschnitzel with fries and drink €12.90. Fresh schnitzel that you can also taste. Very nice and friendly service. The ambience looks a bit “dodgy”, but it’s definitely worth a visit!! We'd love to come back.

Nehring is simply the best (perhaps only?) classic snack bar in downtown Cologne. Ideal for night owls who want something other than kebab. Centrally located on Zülpi, “always” open and fast and friendly service. Sure, the “ambience” is a frenzy, but warm! The food is always delicious and fresh (= hot!).

One of the best fast food places around! Super solid food, just like back then in the Frittenbude, but never loveless. You can also eat here alone in a very comfortable and relaxed manner.

The best shish kebab, beautifully tender and spicy. The gyros are also super tasty and tender.

Real home cooking so far it's always been delicious! Prices are OK. Directly at the bus stop so easy to reach. The operators are both super nice.

I recently picked up a gyro plate while I was drunk and you guys know that you can eat a lot when you're drunk... but that portion can feed two full-grown men, crazy. And really tasty for a fair price. I would get it again at any time, even when sober!

I've definitely eaten better gyros. Maybe I was unlucky, but the fries came from 100% older frying fat. The gyro itself was okay. You can eat it, but as I said, there are much better ones. The atmosphere isn't the nicest either. It's cold and everything is very old. The owners are very nice. It's a shame, we could do more with it. The snack bar is in the perfect location for this.

Nehring impresses with a diverse selection of delicious dishes that are not only prepared quickly but also freshly. The friendly staff ensure a pleasant atmosphere, and the fast service makes the visit particularly uncomplicated.

Wenn man sich zurück erinnern will, wie es zuhause bei Mama geschmeckt hat.. Das Essen ist lecker und es gibt viel Auswahl, von Gyros zu Jägerschnitzel bis zu Rindergulasch und Cheeseburger. Die Preise sind im Verhältnis zu den Portionsgrößen unschlagbar! Das Gyrosfleisch hätte ein bisschen mehr Gewürz vertragen können, ansonsten war alles gut. Als Hinweis: man kann nur mit Girokarte oder Bar bezahlen. Mit meiner Debitkarte ging es nicht.

Hier gehe ich schon seit Jahren essen. Super lecker und preisgünstig .Portionen sind auch gut.

Nehring ist offensichtlich des oefteren nicht in der Lage, den Plan fuer seine woechentlichen Tagesgerichte zeitgerecht im vorhinein im Internet zu veroeffentlichen. Eine schwache Leistung!!

Die Geschichte: 15:18 - über Lieferando bestellt. Erster Liefertermin: 16:08, dann: 16:23 dann 16:59, dann 17:12, dann 17:21 jetzt ist 17:20 und es heißt "Nehring bereitet gerade Deine Bestellung zu. Sie wird in ungefähr 15 Minuten bei Dir sein." das ist eine VERARSCHUNG! Ich habe die Bestellung storniert.

Ich bin hier schon seit über 30 Jahren Kundin. Der Imbiss ist einfach eine feste Institution in Köln. Auch für Nicht-Fleisch-Esser zu empfehlen. Die Salattasche ist eine Pita, bei der man aus vielen Salaten und Gemüse auswählen kann, die Portion ausreichend zum Satt-Werden und preiswert. Sehr zu empfehlen!

Phantastisches Essen. Das Gyros ist ein Gedicht. Dazu wechselnde Tageskarte, wo man jedes Gericht bestellen kann und nicht enttäuscht wird. Man merkt, dass die Speisen mit viel Liebe und Können zubereitet werden. Die Preise sind zudem sehr moderat und auch für den kleinen Geldbeutel geeignet. Super nettes und freundliches Team.
