I'm sure I rated this lovely, traditional and dependable Gasthaus before, but here goes. There is certainly, in this world, a real, palatable comfort in visiting a place that is very good at certain things and does nothing to improve an already near perfect performance. Such is the Oschen. It is not modern, it never changes and it serves dishes that people love to eat. They do it really well. I hope they will continue to do so, although there were rumours (in 2022!) that the restaurant would close for renovations. Not yet, it seems.

The hall is special, but my food was subpar. I wasn't excited before, but I thought, give them a chance. 10.60 for soft-boiled linguini in sage butter is quite steep. I ordered shrimp for 5.50. 4! Shrimp was on the mountain of pasta, which was also breaded. Drinks are good, but I won't eat there anymore. It's a shame actually. This can really be done better

I've seen a lot of restaurants, pubs, whatever, but very rarely have I seen such a cozy, beautiful guest room. Completely made of light wood, a beautiful counter that perfectly arranges and decorates seating areas and dining tables. Beautiful. The menu offers all sorts of delicious things at absolutely moderate prices and the drinks menu doesn't lack anything. In short: a "place to be"....whether just for a coffee or a sumptuous evening meal. If you're nearby, go.

The food and drink was very good and we had a lovely evening together.
