The summer menu is the same every year. And very modest, with no real main courses. It's cheeky to sell 0.75 liters of tap water for 5.90. This is outrageous, unacceptable. A liter of tap water usually costs about 0.2 cents. A margin of almost 3000% is almost criminal. The food is perfectly fine... We won't be coming back.

A beautiful location with excellent food and extremely friendly and welcoming service. We had the Schlossburger and the schnitzel with green sauce. Highly recommended. We were here for the first time today, but certainly not the last. See you next time.

We had made a reservation for a birthday party, but unfortunately, the table was still occupied when we arrived, so we had to wait with the whole family. It wasn't a great start. When ordering, the service was at times overwhelmed. When simply asking whether a menu included pork or beef, we received only a "I don't know" as a response. A particularly unpleasant moment occurred when there was a discrepancy regarding the side salads: Two guests had ordered them separately, while the rest assumed they were included—as is common with many schnitzel dishes. The service still passed the salads around to everyone without mentioning the surcharge. When we politely asked where the "missing" salads were, we were told it was our fault—rather than offering a customer-friendly solution. A simple explanation or an offer to bring the missing salads (for a fee, if desired) would have been appropriate. What was particularly irritating was that a waitress later complained loudly about our group at the counter – audible to passing guests. The food itself was unfortunately only mediocre. The vegan fillet and the secreto, in particular, were unconvincing in terms of taste. Overall, it was unfortunately not a good choice for a special occasion like a birthday.

We were always satisfied. Nice ambience...which isn't difficult in a castle. Breakfast buffet also very tasty. But today didn't work at all. After about 1 hour our drinks were still not there. Even after asking several times. Others who came later...already had their drinks...children were already complaining that they were thirsty...that's not how you imagine a relaxed breakfast. Finally we were finished with breakfast...still without a drink. If you can't handle such crowds...you should simply accept fewer bookings or make the beer garden smaller. In other environments it can sometimes be all hell... but everything runs smoothly. At least there was an apology...and the question if we wanted a drink on the house. So we ordered another one for the children, which luckily came quickly. Staff was still friendly

Unfortunately, the kitchen was helplessly overwhelmed by the rush of guests. Our food came after two hours. The service was very friendly and tried to improve the situation. The food was good. The location is nice, but you should know your limits!

Food tasted good. However, one part of each plate was almost unseasoned and another part was very salty. Funnily enough, all four people felt this way about three different dishes. Kaiserschmarrn very generous portion, as a dessert something smaller and cheaper would be better. The drinks menu is huge and good, but the selection of dishes is unfortunately relatively small. The tubular arrangement of the tables in the entrance area unfortunately causes a lot of walking around by waiters and guests, but the vault is nice.

We've only ever been outside. There's still construction going on around it, but it's still a nice place. The food was very good. We had 2 different schnitzels. The fries are very tasty.

We were there for the breakfast buffet on the weekend. This was sufficient and very tasty. However, it is a bit more expensive per person. The ambience was very nice, but everything was very cramped and loud, especially in the front area towards the counter.

My family and I really enjoy coming to the breakfast buffet on Sundays. We think the selection, taste and ambience are simply great. We always experience the service as very nice. In our opinion, a must for anyone who appreciates a hearty breakfast in a cozy atmosphere. We are already looking forward to the next time. :)

We celebrated our wedding with the closest family at Schloss eins and were completely happy. Juliane gave us great support and advice during the preparations. Everything was implemented according to our ideas. A lot of attention was paid to details. The service staff couldn't have been friendlier and more committed. No wish remained unfulfilled. We also found it particularly nice that they didn't bother our children, who of course ran around in the running paths. From the starters to the dessert, everything was delicious and fresh. We felt very comfortable and would choose the castle again and again.

A nice ambience paired with good food, but you need to be a little careful with the cutlet, ours was tough and probably wasn't handled properly when frying. All other food was very tasty and there were 5 of us. Super nice service. We'd love to come back.

Five of us were there for the breakfast buffet on Sunday. The selection was great and everything was delicious. Service also very nice. The only thing that hasn't been refilled for a while is the scrambled eggs, but then you just go again when it's back. The rooms were also very comfortable and nicely laid out so that it wasn't too noisy with so many people.

It was our first time in the Schloss eins Restaurant. The reservation for dinner via the restaurant homepage worked perfectly. We were warmly welcomed and allowed to choose a table. We ordered the cheese spaetzle and the herb tagliatelle with beef fillet tips. We ordered two small side salads. For dessert, the chocolate mousse. A dream👍 The food was served quickly. Everything tasted very good. The portions were absolutely sufficient for us, so we had the delicious leftovers packed up. The prices are appropriate for the quality of the food. Our verdict: Highly recommended.

Hello, Visited Schloss 1 Waechtersbach for the first time today. Very nice ambience...very friendly service team...culinary at a high level...my wife's birthday surprise was a success...We would love to come back.

Today a reservation for New Year's Eve was simply canceled as the restaurant has now decided to open later that day. I find this a week before the appointment very questionable.

I really liked it here. The tastiest fries I've ever eaten so far.....yummi!🤗👍 The veg.burger was also good. My companion really enjoyed her schnitzel along with the extremely tasty chili sauce. 🙃 Great ambience in the guest room. The delicious smell of freshly baked bread wafts through this. The loaves come from a local bakery. Are specially baked at SchlossEins. Serves with salads or can be bought as is. After dinner we treated ourselves to cappuccino and espresso. The beans are regionally sourced. We received very tasty drinks. With beautiful latte art. Many cafés can learn something from this. Class! I was thrilled. 🤗 Finally mentioned: the sanitary facilities were found clean.

Stopped by by chance in the evening - I didn't want to go to the Italian restaurant. What had bothered me so far was that there was no menu hanging outside and there was no indication of card payment. So, card payment works - practical because the appetite usually comes with the meal and even if we are only 500m away, I prefer to have the espresso straight after the meal. We had a burger and a sandwich. Don't be put off, you'll get enough of it. Good, even, and great cinema in terms of taste. This led us to try the Sunday breakfast buffet. I won't say anything about that, otherwise you'll take our places away 🤣🤣🤣 Thanks to the team, keep it up, we'll be back

Thanks to the whole team at Schloss Eins for making our wedding so unforgettable! Even over a year later, we still look back fondly on our wedding. Your warmth and friendliness carried us and our guests through the whole day. The seating for the free wedding ceremony in the castle garden, the design of the hall in the castle, the food, the service and the entire organization were fantastic. The communication was transparent, you consulted with us again and again throughout the day and we were able to just let ourselves go. Thanks to Juliane and you as a team, you make me feel so welcome and completely comfortable. We always enjoy coming to your place and can only recommend every wedding couple to get married here.

Always worth a visit. Constantly changing menu, seasonal, regional and delicious. Always new ideas for the kitchen, which develop into absolute enjoyment. Extremely attentive and friendly service. The breakfast buffet offers everything your heart desires, including a very tasty vegan selection. Barrier-free access. Despite the construction site, the ambience gets a 5/5 because it will disappear at some point and the park and the beer garden are in a wonderful location. Unfortunately I can only choose one thing that I ordered, but I was there several times for dinner and breakfast Highly recommended and a true gem in the old town of Waechtersbach.

Food and service are exceptionally good. Really A! The service is particularly noteworthy. Lots of young people who do their job so well. I don't know of any other restaurant in the area that can match this level of professionalism. Great! Personally, it is sometimes too loud for me in the great vaulted cellar, but I am also very sensitive to noise. Beer garden is great, but the bee problem still needs to be solved. Some of the prices for the food are very high, even compared to other food (e.g. summer bratwurst)... but as already written above, everything tastes great! I'd love to come back.

Great ambience - in summer with a beer garden in the castle park - a small but fine menu with very tasty dishes, a very good selection of drinks (good and tasty wines and cocktails). And not to forget: a great service team! Also worth mentioning are the events (wine tasting, mom dancing, jazz breakfast...), which are a real enrichment for Waechtersbach!

As always, a great event, whether at the breakfast buffet or in the beer garden in summer. Very tasty food and super nice staff!!! Absolutely recommended!!!

We were there on a beautiful sunny Sunday morning for the breakfast buffet with a reservation. We were initially assigned a table inside with the option of being able to choose a table outside. After a short time we decided to go outside because the air inside seemed too stuffy. We also found it a bit loud in terms of noise, even though not many people had sat down yet. The music from the speakers added to the fact that we decided to go outside. There were many tables outside in a beer garden atmosphere, unfortunately without cushions for the chairs. We can say thumbs up to the buffet. Large selection of bread and rolls, sausage, cheese and scrambled eggs. But also vegan selection. Unfortunately the salmon plate was not refilled. The service was friendly and attentive. Overall, a sobering visit. It was delicious in terms of what was on offer, but too expensive for our taste. For a person who likes to drink coffee like me and took two large cups to end up with €30 is a bit steep. But everyone should decide for themselves and gather their own experiences. Others don't think so and treat themselves to the buffet on Sunday morning. We will most likely not come back.

Very cozy beer garden and a beautifully decorated restaurant. A very young and friendly team that also has a nice saying on their lips. The food was great, we had burgers, schnitzel, a bratwurst with great homemade mustard and a salad. So as a starter there was really great bread with sour cream tomatoes and nuts. You can stop here with a clear conscience for a cold beer and good food. We are already looking forward to the next visit.

Unfortunately, there is still construction work all around at the moment, but construction work stops at the weekend and so it's nice after all. We sat under an old gingko tree. And he has already seen a lot. The beer garden in front of the restaurant offers space for many guests, the restaurant is really chic, the toilets are top notch and great attention is paid to cleanliness. The service is okay, the team is obviously still growing together, everyone is putting in a lot of effort. The menu is manageable but completely sufficient. The meals are very good. The salads have a freshness and a first-class taste. In this respect, the prices are more than affordable. Since there is a lot of construction going on in the historic district at the moment, which is desperately needed because there are so many beautiful old things there that are worth preserving, we will keep coming back here. Unfortunately, people keep driving past Waechtersbach because of the A66, but there is so much to see there, such as the many half-timbered houses. So, let's go, even if it's just to eat.

My wife and I just had dinner at Schloss Eins. We had a chicken burger and a castle burger, each with fries. The food tasted very tasty, there was nothing to complain about. The service was also top notch!! Everything was super nice and attentive! Definitely a recommendation!

Das Essen, sowie das Ambiente und die Freundlichkeit der Bedienung war außergewöhnlich gut und nett. Die Speisekarte ist zwar klein, aber so, dass wirklich jeder Gast etwas Besonderes für seinen Geschmack findet. Außerdem wird die Karte immer wieder geändert, sodass man auch nach dem 10. Besuch wieder etwas neues, leckeres findet. Alles in allem: Hervorragend.

Had dinner with friends at your house on Ascension Day. The tomato cream soup was super delicious. The homemade bread is amazing. The burger with fries is simply great. The beef is still slightly pink and juicy. The service is also great. Attentive and super friendly, you feel like you are something special. Sitting in front of the castle is a dream in terms of ambience. It absolutely convinced me and I will definitely come back.

Es tut uns Leid! Aber diesmal kann ich nicht nur positiv bewerten. Wir waren frühstücken, haben außen gesessen. Das man sich auch den Kaffee holen soll und das mit dem gleich bezahlen, man keinerlei Service mehr hat, fanden wir steht keinesfalls im Preisleistungverhälntis. Ich hatte zweimal eine Mail geschrieben das zwei Personen vegan sind, auch das war absolut ein Flop. Anfangs als wir zum erstmal da waren, hatte man soviel Auswahl, auch vegane Süßspeisen und andere Leckereien waren zur Auswahl da. Von daher sind wir echt enttäuscht gewesen. Also eine Benachrichtigung schreiben kann man sich sparen …..

Es war superschönes Ambiente, leckeres tolles und sehr vielfältiges Buffet, sogar vegane Produkte, frisch und Mega ansprechend dekoriert. Die Bedienung war sehr freundlich und schnell! Die Räume sind so toll und das Gebäude innen und aussen ist traumhaft schön! Wir kommen wieder!

Essen war sehr lecker und der service super freundlich! Hat ab und zu etwas lange gedauert, bis die Bestellung für neue getränke angekommen wurde. Ambiente ist wunderschön und man fühlt sich sehr wohl beim Essen! Ganz klare Empfehlung!

Sehr schönes Ambiente und sehr! zuvorkommender Service. Der vegetarische Burger war sehr lecker jedoch etwas einfach gehalten, mit den typischen „Standard“ Gemüse Pattys. Es wäre schön wenn es dir „normalen“ Bueger auch in vegetarischer oder Veganer Alternative geben würde, eventuell mit chicken oder rind Ersatz. Ich möchte jedoch nochmal betonen das auch der Gemüse Burger sehr lecker war

Schloss Eins is an upscale restaurant and the service is quick and competent. We had waited a very long time for our food without any indication of this long wait. The ambience is very nicely decorated but very loud. Reservation is recommended.

We went there for the breakfast buffet, we really liked it, there was quite a large selection of food. However, some juices could be offered at the buffet (ojuice, apple juice) and even just a little still water. You can understand that they would have to raise the prices, but a little juice like this spices things up a bit and doesn't cost much. We would still like to come back.

Sehr schönes Ambiente und die Bedienung war auch sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend. Das Essen und die Location sind wirklich so toll das selbst ein eher betrübter Abend noch einen kleinen Lichtblick hatte. Meine Partnerin hatte das Schnitzel Wiener Art und ich hatte den Schlossburger. Beides war super lecker und die Portionen waren zu dem, Vergleichsweise niedrigen, Preis mehr als sättigend. Wir freuen uns schon auf unseren nächsten Besuch.

Unfortunately disappointing. Price/performance is not right - schnitzel is small and more breading than meat, rosemary potatoes are absolutely bland. Unfortunately there is no salad, you have to order it separately. The ambience seems great at first - unfortunately it is extremely loud due to the acoustics. My husband and I could hardly have a normal conversation because the ambient noise was just too loud. The service was really great, really nice girls. Since there are better alternatives in the area, we probably won't come back

Die Location ist sehr schön, die Auswahl und das Frühstücksbuffet sehr gut. Auch der Service ist sehr nett und zuvorkommend. Es waren nur zu viele Menschen gleichzeitig, daher 45 Min. auf Kaffee zum Frühstück gewartet . Hatte etwas von Massenabfertigung. Werden es aber nochmals ausprobieren!

Der Service war sehr freundlich, das Frühstücksbuffet super, für jeden was dabei - sogar frische Feigen und Obst in mundgerechten Häppchen, fein. Es wurde ständig aufgefüllt, auf Wunsch glutenfreie Brötchen. Nach zweimaligem Bitten wurde die Musik ausgeschaltet, da der Geräuschpegel eh schon sehr hoch war. Ich fand das ziemlich störend und konnte meine Tischnachbarn kaum verstehen. Am Buffet eine lange Schlange, fand ich auch nicht so prickelnd.

Wir haben uns wohl gefühlt und lecker gefrühstückt! Vermisst haben wir Säfte und Fisch , Quark oder Frischkäse sowie frischen Salat. Für das Angebot war der Preis zu hoch, da der Kaffee extra bezahlt werden musste.

Ich war bei unserem Besuch im "Schloss Eins" sehr positiv überrascht. Ich hatte das Chili Schnitzel, und wirklich: Das war das beste Schnitzel und die beste Soße, die ich jemals gegessen habe! Zuvor hatten wir Brot mit Butter und Meersalz. Auch das war unschlagbar lecker. Der Service war sehr angenehm und nett. Ich habe mich rundum wohl gefühlt und werde ganz sicher wiederkommen.

Wir waren das erste Mal vor Ort und wussten nicht was uns erwartet - werden aber definitiv wiederkommen. Es stimmt hier wirklich ALLES - Ambiente, Service, Auswahl. Das Personal ist zuvorkommend und höflich, die Auswahl des Frühstückbuffet war riesig, liebevol arrangiert und ansprechend.
