I'd prefer to give it MINUS stars. The boss simply ended our party without prior notice because two drinking glasses were broken and someone was supposedly dancing on the table, which wasn't the case.... UNPROFESSIONAL!!!!!!!!!!!!

We were invited to a wedding at the Alte Schanze this weekend with high expectations. The Alte Schanze was once considered the premier venue in town. Unfortunately, that's no longer the case! Starting with the service, which seemed completely unmotivated and bored (there was no table service), the food, a buffet with a grill station, was unloving and constantly empty. The mozzarella tasted of fish, and the meat, or rather, the grilled sausage, was cold or undercooked! The salads and side dishes are better at any garden party! I feel incredibly sorry for the bride and groom.

Disaster!!! The staff is unfriendly and disrespectful. They wave their hands wildly in front of guests if they make a comment. The location is super nice, but the disrespectful behavior of the staff ruins it. Never again!!!

Hey, I really shouldn't give it a star, but unfortunately it's not possible... My sister's wedding was ruined and it's just a really bad shop... I would never recommend it. Thanks for nothing.

Reservations for September 14, 2025, were made on August 29, 2025. Today (September 13, 2025), I received a cancellation due to a party of 150 people. We have never experienced worse management. Not a word of apology! Unfortunately, this star is still too many!

We visited the Schanze am See in Neumünster – a stylishly restored traditional house dating back to 1729 with a modern touch and a beautiful terrace overlooking Lake Einfeld. The ambiance is charming, the decor stylish, and ideal for special evenings or celebrations. The kitchen impresses with freshly prepared, regionally influenced dishes with Mediterranean accents, along with homemade cakes and seasonal delicacies. Particularly commendable: The staff is attentive and friendly. A friend recently hosted her engagement party there – the buffet, service, and atmosphere were impeccable. Cons: On some days, the dining room was a bit chilly, and a few guests reported long waits or slightly cool dishes. The price is also on the higher side – justified, but not without controversy. In conclusion: If you value a beautiful ambiance, a lake view, and lovingly prepared food – especially for celebrations – this is the place for you. For simple, everyday visits, the quality of the stay and service could be improved. Overall, a very successful location with potential.

I've rarely experienced a restaurant that treats potential guests with such unreliability and disinterest. Back in the spring, I contacted them about hosting a very important celebration. Since then, I've called countless times, written emails, and repeatedly received assurances that they would get back to me – absolutely nothing has happened. To this day, months later, I've received no definitive response at all. For a private celebration, this is simply catastrophic. If a business isn't even able to answer inquiries or return calls, how can you rely on everything running smoothly on the day of the celebration? Anyone planning an event here risks ending up without a venue. This behavior is disrespectful to people who invest their time, hope, and trust. For me, it's clear: Never again – and I strongly advise anyone who expects reliability and professionalism to stay away.

Our wedding reception took place there in August. All our arrangements were met. The service was very professional, and the ambiance was almost unbeatable. The food was a bit pricey, but reasonable for the overall package. The quality was also very good. Thank you so much for this wonderful day!😊

As a chef with personal experience in home cooking and positive guest reviews, I can only say: This is truly magnificent cuisine. Anyone in the area can and should stop here.

Senna and her team did an absolutely brilliant job. The food, ambiance, and service were all first-class. The venue is simply perfect for a wedding; you can feel how much effort and passion went into every detail. There's a real sense of camaraderie, and the team is up for any fun. Zero stars. We made a reservation by phone, were greeted by three servers, were allowed to choose a table, and then nothing happened. No menu, no drinks, we were simply invisible to them and left after 15 minutes. It's a shame, a few years ago it was a really nice and good restaurant.

It's a shame. The Schanze am See restaurant made a great impression upon entering. But unfortunately, the service staff ruined it immediately. Loud, unprofessional, and disorganized behavior caused us to leave without ordering. Train your service staff, and we'd be happy to come back. It looked so cozy at your place.

The prices were generally a bit higher, but the location is also very nice. So you're also paying for the ambiance. Nevertheless, the pasta and the burger were delicious, so there was nothing to complain about.

The restaurant is located practically directly on Lake Einfeld near Neumünster. We decided to reward our walk along the lake with a delicious meal. Reservations were easy and possible by phone. The restaurant is attractive from the outside, and parking is available. We had read some reviews of this restaurant beforehand. We noticed that newer reviews were significantly worse than older ones. Nevertheless, we decided to pay a visit. During our visit, the fairly large and comfortably furnished restaurant was sparsely attended. The staff was always friendly and attentive, but didn't give a particularly professional impression. Anyone expecting a style that matches the rather high prices will be disappointed. The attire and demeanor don't exceed 2 stars. The quality of the appetizers varied greatly. Two were 4 stars, and one was just barely 2 stars. Not good considering the relatively high prices. We noticed that the appetizers and desserts, in particular, were quite expensive compared to the main courses. Pepper and salt were missing from the table, but they were quickly provided upon request. The portion sizes were okay. The main course was delicious. One pasta dish, one salad dish, and one shrimp dish were served in a reasonable amount of time. The portion sizes were okay, but probably not a real challenge for really big eaters. Since the appetizers were rather disappointing, we limited ourselves to espresso and cappuccino for dessert. The taste was okay, but not a highlight. The obligatory biscuit was unfortunately missing. All in all, not a disappointment, but definitely not worth the price.

Update to review from about 10 months ago. See below. Today, June 29, 2025, we were back to give the restaurant a second chance. We arrived in beautiful weather and sat outside. There were only two guests left. We waited for 15 minutes, but no one showed any interest in us. The other guests' dishes were cleared away, and we were seen, but completely ignored. We then packed our things and drove to a restaurant on the north shore of the lake, where we were immediately approached. Yes, that's how it goes. Last chance missed. The sales went to a competitor. Unfortunately, we'll never be back. Now only one star. About a year ago, we ate at this restaurant several times. It was always delicious, and the service was very good. Yesterday, we were back at the Schanze on a bike ride. Since it was raining, I parked my bike under the shed, but was immediately yelled at by the young employee, "Not here, someone else is sitting down." As I said, it was raining, and not a single guest was sitting outside. We then went inside, and instead of being welcomed, we were immediately asked rudely if we had a reservation. No, we didn't... But they were graciously allowed to sit down anyway. Now, you have to understand that there were only four other guests there at that time, and at least 50 seats available. We placed our orders. Then the disappointment began. My roast beef was very dry and completely cooked, the fried potatoes were cold. One of the fish I ordered was limp, with no sauce or anything similar. The accompanying salad was forgotten for this dish and only brought upon request. The accompanying rice was also forgotten for another dish. No fish knife was provided with the fish. When we asked for some salt and pepper, they brought it, but we didn't notice that both identical-looking grinders contained salt. Well, the fish was very oversalted. Overall, the food was below average and definitely not worth the money. The prices are unfortunately too high for that. The unfriendly greeting is unacceptable... Actually, one star. However, the friendly young man who, in response to our criticism, offered us a free coffee and was otherwise very attentive and friendly, and immediately brought water for the dog, deserves special mention. Thank you for this small ray of hope. Hence two stars. Regarding the landlord, it should be said that the staff urgently needs training in service quality and friendliness; the chef desperately needs coaching... the recent reviews suggest that we are not an isolated case... We will keep an eye on things; if the reviews continue like this, we will unfortunately not be coming again. It's a shame...

The food was delicious and there was plenty of it. The atmosphere is great. You can tell everything is set up for parties at any time of year. The only downside is the price of the food.

The food was delicious, but unfortunately, the waitress was just daydreaming. Four tables were occupied in the restaurant, and the waitress didn't notice that we were trying to order, pay, etc. But apparently, several people have had this problem. Unfortunately, I don't know how anyone could forget to trim the ends of the asparagus in a restaurant like that... Wouldn't go back.

It's understandable that you have to wait a bit on a sunny day with lots of guests. However, if a member of staff walks past you several times and makes eye contact and notices that you want to order, but prefers to serve guests who came after us, then after waiting 20 minutes I no longer understand that We left...and we're never coming back!

On April 26th We were able to celebrate our engagement party in the Schanze am See. The location and the ambience and especially the friendly service staff made the celebration incredibly beautiful. Our guests particularly enjoyed spending time outside when a dance break was needed. The view of the lake was the cherry on the cake and was always visible through the beautiful and many windows. The team at the Schanze read your wishes from your lips, they always took good care of the guests and you could simply enjoy the celebration together as a couple with the guests. I and especially my guests particularly enjoyed the buffet. The Schanze team catered to all our wishes and there was something for every taste. The desserts were to die for! The guests at my engagement party couldn't stop raving about the jump after and during the celebration. All in all the whole evening was a 10/10, we would love to celebrate there again and again!

We waited over an hour for the food, the fish was dry and the salad was so sour because of the salad dressing that we couldn't eat it. At home we realized that we had paid the wrong bill, it was for another table. I then called the next day, they apologized and we were supposed to get a voucher for it. But nothing ever came, despite calling again. Never again!

We went to the brunch buffet at the Schanze today and have absolutely no complaints! There were 4 service staff on duty who were all very attentive and friendly. The food was delicious and the space/ambience is rustic chic, exactly to our taste. I can't understand the other reviews here, you can pay with a debit card and the price-performance ratio was absolutely reasonable. We will definitely come back.

On Easter Monday we (3 adults, 2 children, 11) went to the restaurant for Easter brunch - 10 a.m. - 1 p.m. Guests headed to the buffet shortly after 10 a.m. At 10:15 a.m. an older lady from the house appeared and loudly and harshly pointed out that the buffet wasn't open yet and that the bell had to ring first. When I said it was 10:15 a.m. she disappeared with flags waving. There was no Easter food, no Easter bread, Easter eggs, no warm meat or fish, you had to pay extra for water. We paid €39.50 per person - including the kids. We wanted to give the restaurant a chance after the change of ownership after we had bad experiences years ago. Never again

Easter brunch! Oh well.... First of all, it should be mentioned very positively that the staff was very nice, courteous and always tried hard. Unfortunately, one also has to say that the brunch in no way reflected upscale gastronomy (for which the Schanze was once known). Some portions on the cold buffet, the selection is manageable. The selection of warm dishes, on the other hand, was rather inappropriate for a brunch. More like a children's buffet in the hotel with nuggets, fries, chicken wings. A lasagna that is far too dry and neither a sauce, a roast or warm vegetables on the warm buffet, that's disappointing for an Easter brunch (then you'd better take 10 euros more and deliver decently). If salt and pepper are missing on every table and the employee first has to check whether there is still one available somewhere, phew. When I asked for some coffee at 12 p.m. (brunch lasts until 1 p.m.) and I got the answer that there was no more???? Dear people!! How long have you been doing gastronomy? Then I serve a coffee from the fully automatic machine so that I don't have to make another 10 liters of filter coffee. I don't want to badmouth everything, but if you can't live up to the standards that the Schanze restaurant once had, then rename the restaurant. For me there is one less alternative in Neumünster.

Very good ambience, location and location. Successful furnishings and a muted noise level that doesn't make conversations at the table impossible. All starters and main courses are of high quality, appropriate for the prices and the ambience. But: at least on this Sunday at the beginning of April there was a lack of staff in the kitchen. It took about 45 minutes until the starters were served and after the starter plates were cleared, another 45 minutes until the main course. The service was friendly, but didn't communicate well. We were initially not informed that it would take longer today, no bread or other cold snacks were offered to bridge the waiting time, and after all the waiting time it was also offered that drinks or appetizers would be on the house as a small compensation. Ultimately a frustrating experience what should have been a happy group to celebrate a 79th birthday. I can only recommend the ski jump again when it better manages the problems caused by the lack of staff.

Nice atmosphere. Food was good. Service: 3 drinks ordered, 1 out of stock, other drinks one by one, water not poured. After the food was served, no one asked, "Is everything OK," no one cleared the plates, not even after payment (I got the service myself), no "did it taste good or any other wish?" That's sad and incomprehensible. There were 3 tables in the restaurant when we were there (2 of them were already ready). It always hurts a lot when you don't feel welcome as a guest. Too bad.

It's a shame that so much is ruined by the poor and slow service. ... Food was so-so, champagne was too warm, asparagus was served on a cold plate. Crispy burger was a failure. They didn't even ask if everything was okay, the drink order was only taken once at the beginning. You could make a lot more sales, but that's just not possible with 2 waitresses... And yes, it is very questionable that card payment is not possible....

We came here spontaneously while taking a walk and were pleasantly surprised inside. We “only” had coffee and cake, but these were served beautifully presented. Ambiance with the wooden beams and rustic, modern chairs and tables is very nicely furnished. We may have found our wedding location...

Opening times definitely wrong... Today, Sunday, d. On February 23, 2025 we stood in front of closed doors in the afternoon, everything inside was dark.

If you want to eat here, you should note that the owner has changed several times!! The current situation is desolate! The prices are almost at "star level" while the service and especially the taste of the food (fish, meat, fries, salad - we ate a lot of it) is at snack bar level! The fish is pulled out “fresh” from the frozen food and prepared after 40 minutes. Of course it tastes the same as frozen fish. A no-go for almost 40EUR. The noodles for children taste very delicious because (who could have guessed) they were “refined” with ketchup. 3x people 170EUR, these are very steep prices that also require good food. But the good food is no longer available here.

I still knew the Schanze as a good, middle-class restaurant with a regional menu; It was remodeled several years ago and, in my opinion, the charm has been lost. The menu is now the usual burger, pasta and schnitzel monotony, but at competitive prices. I ordered a Wiener Schnitzel (veal original) for €32.90, which is on the menu with remoulade. When I asked if I could have cranberries instead of tartar sauce, the answer was "We didn't, tartar sauce tastes good too." The schnitzel came with fried potatoes (which were ok) and sour cucumber salad (instead of sweet) and was dry, hard as a board and with a tasteless, flat breading (I suspect deep fryer instead of pan). At least I got a new schnitzel after I complained, but it wasn't much better. For €32.90 that was absolutely nothing! I only give the two stars because the other guests' pasta was halfway okay.

We were allowed to be there for a wedding. Great location! Great team! The food was super delicious and the drinks anyway ;-) thank you very much and would be happy to come back. Worth a recommendation for every event *-*

We were there for dinner in the evening. The ambience is beautiful and the view is great. The menu was clear and seemed to consist of more alcohol than food. The schnitzels were pounded so thin that they only tasted like breading. There was an inexplicable pile of grated carrots on top of the cucumber salad and it tasted so spicy that I had to leave it alone. This was accepted without comment. The cream sauce was also very spicy and parsley was sprinkled on everything, even on the tartar sauce. Although there wasn't much going on, service was lacking. So the food didn't blow me away, the ambience did.

I was there as part of a larger family celebration. The atmosphere is unique and very beautiful. The view of the lake alone is worth it. The food tasted great. The service was super friendly and attentive. Keep it up.

We were invited to a wedding as guests. The setting with the setting sun is almost the only thing that was really beautiful. There was also enough parking space, and four stars for that, even if it wasn't paved. On the way to the garden you passed lamps, or lamps that were supposed to be there. There were open power cables just lying around, uninsulated. Here is a little insight into the service. For 8 tables (70 people) there were 2 service girls who spoke good German and asked for drinks for the first hour. My husband's beer with Fanta wasn't brought even after forty minutes, despite the fact that there were 4 other service staff behind the counter who didn't speak German very well and prepared the drinks for those serving. At this point, 2 of the 4 were standing there shakily. At the bar, where I asked for the beer with Fanta, the management from the front came (she had previously stood for about 15 minutes chatting with the DJ) and asked what I wanted. Beer with Fanta. She then told this to the lady behind the bar. She then poured beer with Sprite. :-( I then pointed it out to her again before the sprite could flow. The buffet menu on the guest table said Vitello Tonnato, but I couldn't find it at the buffet. My question to the management, who met me in the buffet room, where I found this dish, was answered "we forgot today" :-( we're sorry. From the buffet room you had a direct view into a neighboring room, where a vacuum cleaner was standing open and careless. The dessert buffet was opened by the DJ and no one came around, even after 40 minutes, to ask if they wanted a coffee or other coffee specialties. Dessert definitely tastes better with coffee than with water. We then got this coffee personally at the bar, as well as our water, which had not been refilled at our table since the buffet began. Apart from the first drink, at least at our table we no longer saw any service. Ergo: Service max. 1 star, more like zero for such an apparently upscale restaurant, which it seems to be or wants to be. For food: the ladies served wedding soup as the first course. This was so salty and had shriveled vegetables in it, which shows that it was definitely not fresh. There was a small pile of chives between the saucer and the glass bowl where the soup was. My question to the waitress is why the soup decoration is under the soup bowl; Answer: so that the glass bowl doesn't slip. ;-( The dessert wasn't great either in terms of taste. The chocolate mousse had already dried on the edge of the glasses and stuck to the palate, which doesn't mean it was fresh. The pike perch was covered in lots of bones and had no taste or a rather watery taste. The bruscetta was really very well done. Both in terms of taste and decoration. 2 stars for the food. Either yesterday wasn't a brilliant performance, but as a guest you had the feeling that you were disturbing the chatter between the staff instead of giving the restaurant joy in working with guests. The reactions to the demand for drinks gave the impression that this is often the case. All in all, I wouldn't recommend the ski jump.

The location is a dream. The ambience of the place actually does too. The employees are moderately friendly. Yesterday we paid €31.50 for three small pieces of butter cake and three drinks. The cake came when my coffee was almost cold. When the employee dropped something, she placed a stack of dirty plates on our table to pick up the item. Almost all the other tables in the immediate vicinity were empty. This could easily have been solved better... The restaurant used to be an insider tip. The high prices no longer match the level of service. At least the location is nice.

Great restaurant, clean, food great. Everything laid out so comfortably. Great view of the lake from the garden. And my husband and I have never eaten such a dish made from game meat as licked sour meat before - delicious 😋. Kudos to the chef

Unfortunately, it has diminished significantly. The food is ordinary, breading on the schnitzel, the scampi on the salad is dry and bland. The portions are good, but the quality and price don't match.

Unfortunately, our visit to the Schanze am See restaurant in Einfeld left us with mixed feelings. At first glance, the restaurant looks very appealing, with a stylish indoor ambience and an upscale menu that sounds promising. Unfortunately, there were numerous points that significantly tarnished the positive overall impression. First of all, we would like to note that the interior of the restaurant is really successful. The interior exudes a pleasant and elegant atmosphere that promises an upscale restaurant visit. The menu is also impressive at first glance. A Wiener Schnitzel for 32 euros is quite reasonable, as long as the quality, ambience and, above all, the service can keep up with this level. We decided to sit on the terrace that evening. Unfortunately, this is where the disappointment began. Although our table had four seats, there were only two seat cushions. For a restaurant that presents itself as upscale, this is a clear faux pas. There were also no blankets, which would be a welcome service, especially in the evenings on a terrace. The outdoor area itself seemed fine, but lacked the attention to detail that you would expect in a fine dining restaurant. For example, subtle decorations on the tables would be a simple way to significantly enhance the atmosphere. Another point that struck us negatively were the parasols on the terrace. While a lot of emphasis was obviously placed on stylish design inside, the colorful Warsteiner parasols seemed out of place and disrupted the overall picture. If a restaurant aims to present itself as upscale, such details should also be thought through. Plain-colored parasols that match the surroundings better would certainly have been a better choice here. The food itself and the wine did not disappoint. There was nothing to complain about in terms of taste or quality. However, our positive impression ended at this point, because what followed was simply disappointing. After dinner, it was around 8:15 p.m. and the restaurant was officially open until 10 p.m., we were completely ignored. No waitress came by to ask if we would like to have another drink, order a dessert or perhaps enjoy an espresso. This behavior was not only noticeable towards us, but also the other guests outside were completely ignored. It's important to note that the restaurant was far from full that evening. Only two tables were occupied inside and four tables were sitting on the terrace at the same time. There was therefore no question of the service staff being overloaded. If you as a guest get the feeling that you are only being tolerated because the staff might want to finish work earlier, then that is more than disappointing. In this context, the price-performance ratio does not match in any way. Because of these negative experiences, we will not visit the restaurant again in the future. Interestingly, the guests at the next table also seemed irritated that no one was paying attention to them anymore. It's a real shame that a restaurant with so much potential leaves such a bad impression due to a lack of service. In summary, it can be said: While the interior of the restaurant is definitely convincing, the outside area is more reminiscent of a snack bar. Especially in a restaurant that charges such prices, you expect more - both in terms of ambience and service. Unfortunately this was not fulfilled on our evening.

We were on a nice bike ride around the lakes and wanted to stop here for coffee and cake. We didn't get a menu and when we asked which cake they offered there were apparently only two types. We ordered and received the coffee and 15 minutes later the cake....and then the bill came....very expensive...you could actually ask for more for that....We should cycle around the lake again, return we'd rather stay somewhere else.

We celebrated our wedding there in July and were very happy with this decision!! It's a fantastic location, great service, delicious, attractive food (we had a large, varied buffet that even the vegetarians were happy with) and a very friendly and competent owner! All questions were answered calmly and on the day itself there was a lot of effort to make it the most beautiful day of our lives, which it ultimately was. :-) We can only recommend it! Free wedding ceremony on the lawn, food with a lake view, plenty of parking spaces, ... what more could you want? ;-)

Ein Gutschein über 70€ aus 12/2022 wurde heute wegen Besitzerwechsel nicht eingelöst. Ist äußerst ärgerlich und ob das so rechtens ist? Da bin ich mir nicht sicher....

Unfortunately disappointing. We recently visited this restaurant and were unfortunately very disappointed. Despite the high prices, both the service and the quality of the food left something to be desired. **Service:** We had to wait a whole hour for our food, even though the restaurant wasn't overly busy and our dishes (roast beef and pickled meat) didn't require any elaborate preparation. To our surprise, we had to get the high chair ourselves, which reinforced the impression of a lack of service orientation. We also ordered additional glasses that were never delivered. **Eat:** Special requests such as fries without salt were accepted but not implemented. The fried potatoes were of poor quality and didn't taste fresh. The sour meat from Kassler did not correspond to the description on the menu and was anything but “typically Nordic”. Overall, our visit here was not satisfactory. Given the high prices, we would have expected much more. Unfortunately, based on these experiences, we cannot recommend the restaurant.

The atmosphere in the restaurant is not bad, a nice place overlooking the lake. Overall, the food is good, but not outstanding. Please note that not all dishes on the menu may be available. The service leaves a lot to be desired - although only 2-3 tables were occupied, everything was very slow, inattentive and not particularly friendly. Although almost all tables were empty, we were not allowed to move to a table with a better view under the pretext that they were expecting a larger group. Unfortunately, no one came to that table during our entire time there. Given the fairly high prices - decide for yourself.

bad service, food very bad, prices completely exorbitant, cucumber salad from the jar only tastes like vinegar, the only good thing is that I never need to go there again

The ambience is really very nice and suggests an upscale restaurant - inside and out. Unfortunately, the service quickly proved the opposite. This was snooty and condescending. The food was ok, but with the dry burger bun and raw patty, €23 is not justified. And when you couldn't even pay with a card and we were repeatedly and unkindly pointed out that it was outside the door, it was finally over. When we pointed out that we might have to mention this again and that we couldn't see the sign because the door was open when we went in, we simply replied snidely that you can't tell every guest that card payments aren't possible. It's possible - at the latest when the order is placed.

Unfortunately, we were quite disappointed with the food. Our friends forgot the cucumber salad and other side dishes when they served their dishes, and the fish was far too dry and unseasoned. Salt and pepper mills were provided for seasoning, unfortunately there was also salt in the pepper mill, so the fish was now oversalted. There was also no fish knife for the plaice... The young waitress was also very unfriendly!! Unfortunately, the delicious vegan dishes are no longer available! Very, very sad ☹️

We will never visit this restaurant again!!! After we were greeted unfriendly by the service staff, it took a whole 25 minutes until we received a menu and only when we asked. The service staff reluctantly and listlessly took the order. After another 45 minutes, only half of the order reached us and my children didn't get anything to eat. The unfriendly answer came: "You can forget something." That shouldn't happen in a restaurant like this. When the children's food was finally brought, it was actually burnt. When we confronted the service staff, they called the owner. She reacted completely unprofessionally and insulted us about what we could find wrong with the food. Totally stunned by this treatment, we paid our fees and left. What a HORROR VISIT - we will never set foot in this restaurant again.

Very nice atmosphere and decor. However, the staff (here I'm just referring to a younger lady) is very unfriendly. We were asked several times if we would also eat. When only 2/4 people wanted to eat something, it seemed as if they had only reluctantly given us a seat, even though the restaurant was completely empty at the time. The burger had raw meat and dry bread. The noodles were OK. When paying, we were rudely informed three times that we could only pay in cash. A nice answer would also have been enough. The first and unfortunately last time.

The ambience of the restaurant was very nice, but the food was simply disappointing! The spaghetti was overcooked and had little in common with "Aglio e Olio". Unfortunately, we were unable to communicate our concerns to the kitchen staff after eating because she didn't understand German and neither the owner nor anyone else from the staff was there to say goodbye. If you are considering eating here, stick to the schnitzel and stay away from Italian cuisine, then you should be on the safe side when it comes to cuisine.

The restaurant no longer has the class it once had. The food was OK, but not at the level that the prices suggest. The service was mixed: I was served the wrong drink, the menu wasn't up to date and at least one of the service staff seemed annoyed that she "had to" serve us. You can also easily tell whether they are just using friendly phrases that are not broadcast, or whether the friendliness is really genuine. It would also be nice if the tables outside were set in some way and looked inviting. There were no spices or decorations. Cloth napkins outside would also look a lot better.

A restaurant with potential but unfortunately inadequate for the prices due to too few staff. We had to wait 2 hours for the food and then the fish and meat dishes were still dry and fried...

A very nice restaurant. The food is okay, but not appropriate for the price. The service seemed unstructured and forgot what we wanted to eat twice when ordering (but didn't take any notice). And unfortunately, offering ready-made dressing in an upscale restaurant is not possible at all. Especially not when a salad with shrimp costs almost 20 bucks. I would maybe come back again because of the beautiful view. But not because of the food

The view of the lake was nice, the rest was not. The €22 burger was very dry, with a boring sauce and tasteless ingredients - no taste experience. The sauce on the avocado salad was also below average. Inattentive service with a long waiting time (>10 minutes until a menu was even served, another 20 minutes until the drinks came and another 20 minutes until the food came).

Today's visit to the Schanze am See in Neumünster was a big disappointment. Apparently the waitress didn't like that we decided to order ice cream instead of steak. We had originally planned to enjoy the ice cream in the garden, but due to the rain we were asked to go inside the restaurant. It took all of 25 minutes for the ice cream to finally be brought to our table. Only 3 tables were occupied - one of them was us. When I turned around to ask what the ice cream was like, the waitress SCREAMED across the entire store without me asking anything in a very annoyed, unpleasant and very unprofessional tone: "It's almost here!!!" At the neighboring table the bottle of water was poured into the glasses by the waitress, but this wasn't even offered to us with the water we ordered. The service overall was unfriendly, slow and really unprofessional. The lady at the table behind us asked if there should be a salad with her steak, and the same waitress who served us (a blonde lady) replied: "Actually, you had to choose from three side dishes, but you have them nothing said!" and made the old lady understand that it was her own fault because she hadn't said anything. In an upscale establishment - which is what the Schanze am See is supposed to be - a well-trained waitress would ALWAYS ask what side dish it should be. Afterwards, the waitress just patronizingly “offered” a salad in a brisk tone, which the old lady understandably refused. It felt like we weren't welcome and there was an atmosphere that clearly wanted to convey that the customer wasn't the "king" but was lucky that they were graciously being served at all. It's a shame, because we live less than 600m from the ski jump by the lake and if you don't want to eat your ice cream at home, then it's actually a nice spot to walk over to when the weather is good. And the ice cream was really tasty too. But sorry, with such horrible service, I can only advise against it.

The plaice was wobbly and not fried properly, the potatoes were floating in the water, and no spices on the table.

Very nice, the restaurant to relax and get full at the same time, wonderful view of the lake. The food was lovingly and deliciously prepared, our waitress was very nice and accommodating, ideal for an anniversary or other celebrations, thanks to the boss, kitchen and the waitress.

Very nice atmosphere, very courteous, friendly service and an excellent steak, an all-round successful evening with a view of the lake, what more could you want...

The company evening event (> 100 guests) was mega. The location is beautiful and the service was on point when it came to delivering drinks and also refilling the buffet. What I think is a shame that all of the meat on the grill was dry, either grilled for too long and as a result tough, or simply left over for too long due to the pre-production. I also thought it was a shame to buy ready-made salads for the buffet. That doesn't have to be the case at this level because everything else was great and the people on site were super fast and totally friendly. Overall, it was still a great event with lots of good conversations in a place where you can really celebrate your wedding.
