A truly outstanding Italian restaurant! The food is superb! You can taste the quality in every dish. The service is also exceptionally friendly and attentive. You feel completely at ease here – highly recommended!

Great food, reservations are a must, often crowded and a bit noisy. Still worth it though.

The food is really delicious. The many little flies were very annoying. The plants in the window here should be replaced. There are loads of these little buggers lying around on the windowsill.

Rustic, authentic, and simply personable. Friendly service, a cheerful pizza chef who really knows his stuff. The pizza is amazing every time, and unfortunately, I can never get it like that at home. Small, fine cheese and salami counter, great atmosphere, Italian through and through. I've been coming back for years. That's what I like!

Overall, it was really good. The staff were also super nice. The food was okay, but doesn't live up to the descriptions in the countless reviews: the pizza was watery and a bit burnt in places. The decor was very nice. For us personally, however, it was just too crowded, too loud, and there were far too many (fruit?) flies, which seems to be a problem all over Landau. People who aren't from Landau or the surrounding area should just be prepared for a negligently large number of annoying flies.

Unfortunately, after the second visit, we have to say it's quantity over quality. The portions are very large, too large to finish, and the quality and taste aren't convincing.

It was a wonderful experience; in the middle of Landau, I felt like I was in Puglia. Italian music, interspersed with news, in Italian, of course! The waiter was very attentive and quick. The food was divine; I had mussels in tomato sauce, divinely seasoned. My husband had a pizza called Diavlo, with perfect dough and perfect toppings. Thank you for the wonderful time with you.

I was absolutely thrilled with my visit to this restaurant! The food was incredibly delicious – fresh, prepared with love, and perfectly seasoned. The homemade risotto was particularly impressive. The service was friendly, attentive, and quick, without being intrusive. The ambiance was also very cozy and tastefully decorated, making you feel immediately at home. You can tell that the work here is done with passion. The value for money is definitely worth it. I will definitely be back and can highly recommend it to anyone who appreciates good food and great service!

The food was okay. What was absolutely unacceptable, however, was the way the manager scooped the Parmesan out of a large plastic bag with her bare hands (fingernails) without washing them first, and then filled the containers on the tables. That was truly disgusting. The man standing behind the counter who had just cut ham for a pizza and put every other slice in his mouth WITHOUT gloves, before putting more slices on the pizza, was also an absolute NO-GO. The tables were also not wiped down after the guests. For €14 for a pasta dish and €5 for a drink, you should be able to expect a bit of hygiene. Sorry, but we'll happily let other guests have priority in that regard.

We came here to celebrate a birthday and it was the perfect choice. The staff made our evening feel extra special, and the food was phenomenal. They even surprised us with a complimentary dessert. A memorable night – thank you for everything!

Dario catered our wedding reception. It worked out perfectly, and the food was fantastic! The live preparation with a pasta pan and mobile pizza oven on the Ape was a real eye-catcher :-)

Not the first time for us....the food is so good that when we are on the mood for Italian this is the first place to go! Cosy environment, nice waiters, and the possibility to buy Italian food products! Both pizza and pastas are very tasty! The cannelloni with ricota and spinach is very good! (Although a fourth cannelloni would be welcomed, since only three are served) The homemade Tiramisu cannot be missed at the end! The room is small and there is no air conditioning, which makes it a bit of a challenge in hot days, although there is a fan.... parking place near by is quite challenging.

This is a rustically decorated little restaurant located in a small alley in the pedestrian area. The service is very attentive and friendly, and the food is excellent. Highly recommended.

We ate at this Italian deli on a recommendation... The pizzas and salads are delicious, and the pasta dishes looked good. The prices are all reasonable, and the staff were consistently very friendly. We'll definitely eat here again. 👍

For me, Sapori D'Italia is the best Italian restaurant in the area. We've been visiting the restaurant regularly for about 2-3 years and have almost never been disappointed. It stands out from other Italian restaurants in several aspects: The Italian sausages and meats used in the dishes are equally available, taste excellent, and are sold at the counter. These include not only the usual classics like salami or ham, but also delicacies like suckling pig or Italian bratwurst, which you don't often find in Italian dishes in Germany. The pizza and pasta dishes are varied, not overly elaborate, unusual, and taste excellent and fresh. The selection also sets the restaurant apart from the competition, and even guests who prefer more traditional dishes will undoubtedly find something to their liking. Because it's a family business, there's virtually no staff turnover, which means the preparation and quality of the food is always very consistent, and you always know exactly what you're getting. What doesn't bother me much personally, and somehow fits the restaurant's unusual overall concept, but could be a negative point or even a deal-breaker for some visitors, is the amount of space and comfort. The interior is relatively small, the seating is tight, and quite noisy when full. The furniture itself also doesn't meet the comfort level one might expect from other restaurants. Outside, there are four small tables, each designed for two people, located directly on/next to Trappengasse, which is used by many pedestrians and vendors in the city center. As already mentioned, this also somehow fits the atmosphere of the restaurant, but it can also be annoying. The value for money is extremely good, and sometimes I feel that the dishes are offered for too little money, especially compared to the competition. The service is friendly and attentive, although here, probably due to the family business, you notice that the waiter's profession isn't traditionally learned, but rather something you grow into. It might bother you - I don't. What I also love are the opening hours, so you can get something to eat in the afternoon. On the other hand, the restaurant is closed on Sundays, but that's not so bad for me personally. *-Update 07/23/2022-* My previous impression hasn't changed. I continue to enjoy the benefits of consistent, excellent quality and equally consistent, good service, both of which often leave something to be desired with the competition due to new/rotating staff. The prices are still damn good and almost too cheap for what you get. Apparently, other people have also acquired a taste for this place, which is why I would recommend making a reservation, especially during peak hours. Keep it up! 👍

We enjoy visiting this small Italian restaurant. Since dogs aren't allowed, we ordered our food to go, which wasn't a big deal. The kitchen is right in the restaurant, which makes it a bit cramped, but that's why the atmosphere is pleasant with an incomparably great flair. We had pizza, pasta and a salad. The food was really tasty, although I would have liked a little more dressing in the salad. Overall it was super delicious food and I can recommend the restaurant!

Here is Italy (Apulia) in Landau. You go in and you're in Italy. Great authentic atmosphere and really lovely people. I'm always happy when I can be here. Highly recommended!

Wir waren heute Mittag, nach den vielen guten Bewertungen hier, im Sapori d Italia. Gleich nach dem Öffnen, hatten Glück, von den nicht reservierten Tischen einen zu bekommen. Eine Pizza bestellt und Spaghetti mit Sardellen und Trüffelsoße. Die Pizza war eher mittelmäßig, da hatte ich schon viel bessere, Teig eher zäh, Belag so lala … Die Spagehtti waren dann eine Mischung aus Spirelli und Muschelnudeln, das geht gar nicht, zumindest müsste man vorher ja den Gast fragen, ob der die Art der Teigwaren wechseln möchte .. Und geschmacklich war es dann auch nicht so dolle … also insgesamt, wir verstehen die guten Bewertungen nicht und werden auch das Lokal nicht wieder besuchen.

You can clearly tell that this shop is family run. If you don't have a table reservation in the evening, you'll almost certainly come away empty-handed. The food, whether pizza, pasta, risotto... Is excellent. Only high-quality products (ham, mozzarella, etc.) are used, which can also be purchased separately in the integrated delicatessen. We were here five evenings in one week, always tried different dishes and always left the shop very satisfied. Thanks

Highly recommended authentic Italian pizzeria, bodega and restaurant - rather simple furnishings, sales counter with Italian specialties but very nice family service and atmosphere! The food is really very good - almost always full at lunchtime... later there are sporadic seats! Pizza is originally baked by hand for you to watch! Highly recommended

Man kommt sich vor, wie in Neapel. Laut, Leben, Küchenduft, Pizza wird im Gastbereich in den Ofen geschoben. Koch schwitzt und Pizza ist köstlich! Hab seit Jahren meine Portion aufgegessen, weil ich einfach nicht zurück gehen konnte

We were passing through, had an appetite for pizza/pasta and ended up at Sapori because of the many positive comments. If these are supposed to be the best pizzas in Landau, I don't want to know the bad ones. The base was a tough mass, way too much sauce on it and just not good. The lasagna came without a gram of minced meat, but with ham and soggy noodles. The friendly service couldn't take away from the overall impression

It's a shame, it used to be one of the best Italians in Landau/Palatinate. We picked up a pizza and an Italian salad today. Pizza tasted good but unfortunately only lukewarm. But there are no points deducted here, as it is probably self-inflicted. But there is criticism when it comes to salad: there is clearly a lack of good oil here. Was only dressed with vinegar. Plus there was no tomato, no egg, no olive. But with carrot and cucumber. It wasn't really my taste. Well, I'm excited to see when I'll be really impressed by the Italian restaurant here in Landau. Maybe things are a little better locally. I won't be taking anything with me for now.

It wants to be found, inconspicuous in this narrow alley. But what you get in this small Italian restaurant is a very cozy atmosphere, wonderful food and motivated and friendly staff. None, but also no criticisms to be found.

I went there for dinner with my colleague today. We were ignored that I had to go to the man on the corner and ask if we could order something. His response was, "What would you like to order?" I said, "Would you please come to the table to take your order?" .with less desire came to the table and took the order. Unfortunately not very customer oriented. When I said goodbye, the staff ate and didn't really respond to my departure. I said: "Enjoy your meal and goodbye!" The answer was: "Thank you"

Einfach nur ein Zufall, dass wir dieses Restaurant gefunden haben. Einfach nur gegoogelt, wer Mittags geöffnet hat. Beste Pizza seit langem. Wir werden wiederkommen, auch wenn es 2,5 Stunden Anfahrt bedeutet.

Great little pizzeria in a narrow street in Landau. There is an on-site cheese and antipasti counter for purchase/take-away, pizza, antipasti platters, pasta dishes and much more. You pay around €13 for a pizza. About the same for a pasta dish. I had the Buffalo Pizza. The pizzeria is very small. We were lucky to be able to come in at 5:45 p.m. without a reservation. There was also a high chair for the little guests. The pizza is freshly prepared in front of our eyes (glass bakery). A visit here is always worth it. EC card payment possible.

Und der Service einfach nur Klasse. Alle die hier negatives über Essen und Ambiente berichten, haben mit Verlaub, absolut keine Ahnung von italienischer Küche. Wir kommen wieder.
