We would love to come back again.

We visited Sandgold for the first time and were truly impressed by the ambiance, the food, and its presentation – excellent. The service could be improved; a bit more warmth and attentiveness would be welcome. We would perhaps consider it one of the best Italian restaurants around Walldorf-Wiesloch, and the menu offers even more. We will definitely be back and are already looking forward to it.

A lovely restaurant located by the tennis court. The service is very attentive and friendly, and the food is delicious, with a wide selection of dishes. The prices are reasonable.

Delicious food in a cozy atmosphere - would love to come again!

Today we spontaneously ended up at Sangold. Very cozy and lovingly decorated. Food and service were excellent.

This was our first time at this restaurant. The service was very friendly and efficient! The roast beef and my wife's vegetarian burger were both excellent, freshly prepared, and plentiful. The atmosphere was lovely. Our two Havanese dogs were also warmly welcomed. We were both very satisfied and will gladly return. The restaurant was quite busy, so reservations are recommended. Highly recommended!

Beautiful ambiance, delicious food. Service is unobtrusive but attentive. The small playground is a definite plus for families. We'll be back.

A great restaurant with very friendly service and delicious food, where we often go as a family or with friends. We even celebrated a large birthday party there and were completely satisfied with the flexibility, quality, and service.

Clear selection. Makes the decision easier for some, but is already limited for vegetarians, for example. Two or three more dishes, such as a burger with a veggie patty (no cheese), would be a real help. The food was very tasty, though. The staff was friendly, but abrupt. The ambiance was good, with nice decor, but the tables were a bit close together.

We had reserved a table for 6 adults and 3 children by phone. There was only one other family in the restaurant, and we asked if it would be possible to move from the assigned table on the terrace in the blazing sun to a table in the shade right next to the children's playground. Unfortunately, that wasn't possible, as this area seems to be reserved for tennis players. This area, with several large tables, was also empty. I've never experienced anything like it. It's great that there's a playground, but if you're not allowed to sit there, it just doesn't make sense. Unfortunately, we left without anything to eat. :(

Very tasty, right in front of the mountains

Super delicious burger; we actually discovered this restaurant through the Schlemmerblock (a German magazine). Excellent service, and everything else was perfect. The only thing that shocked me a bit was the chocolate soufflé; it had no chocolate center and was extremely dry. There was also a hint of burnt chocolate. I would have loved to send it back, but I won't because I don't want food to be thrown away, and it wasn't completely inedible.

Great restaurant, beautifully located. We ate outside on the lovely terrace. It's also very nice inside. Everything is very new. The food is very good and the prices are absolutely reasonable. Service was excellent and very attentive. On a Thursday evening, there was almost no room available. That speaks for itself. Card payments are accepted. We'd be happy to come back.

The food was OK so far. The ambiance is chic. The service was friendly, but there was room for improvement. At times, the service seemed overwhelmed. Starters didn't arrive at the same time (the first ones were already finished by the time the last ones were served). One starter was forgotten. The waiter didn't know the difference between a Kellerbier and a Helles. The dessert (the red cup) was carelessly presented. All in all, the expectations (price/performance/ambience) didn't match what was delivered. On the upside, there was a round on the house at the end.

Very good and staff very friendly food great

We were there for a company party. Four people opted for pasta with roast beef. Unfortunately, you had to hunt for the roast beef. There were only three or four tiny pieces. Instead, the pasta was filled with zucchini and mushrooms…which, unfortunately, there was no indication of beforehand. Once you sorted out the mushrooms, there wasn't much left on your plate. Then you had to charge €17.50 for that…

A pleasant experience with delicious food and friendly service. I was overall satisfied. The food was truly delicious and met my expectations. The waiters were friendly and attentive. The beautiful terrace, where you can sit and enjoy the atmosphere, is a great place to relax and enjoy a drink. One small downside is the salads, which I think are a bit too expensive for what you get. The value for money could be improved here. Despite this minor criticism, I can recommend the restaurant. The quality of the food, the good service, and the beautiful surroundings make the visit worthwhile.

The food was top. Fresh mince on the burger and great fries. But "salad mayonnaise" (i.e. diluted with water) is the only mayo there is. That doesn't meet the higher standards. Service was not objectionable and the rooms are really modern.

Fast food... I don't really need it

The pumpkin cream soup was a dream. The only criticism: serve the bread cubes separately. They're crispier then. Thank you very much.

We had 3 Parma pizzas, super tasty like in Italy and cheap at €11.50. The restaurant is very clean and well-kept, the service is friendly and responds to special requests. It doesn't get any better. We'd love to come back when we're nearby :)

Modern ambiance with a view of the tennis courts. Top-notch service and good food. Vegetarians will also find something to suit their taste.

Beautiful, newly renovated restaurant of the Wiesloch tennis club. The terrace offers a good view of the tennis courts. Unfortunately, the pizza was a bit bland (Italian herbs were missing) and the friendly service was a bit slow.

Update in August 2024: After the renovation, we wanted to visit the restaurant again, but we were informed via Instagram that it wasn't open yet, even though it had already been open. Nevertheless, we were really keen to visit, but then we were disappointed after looking at the menu... so we haven't been back since, especially when you don't want to welcome guests despite being open and your favorite dishes being removed from the menu. Excellent food and great service. We discovered this restaurant through the Schlemmerblock and are so happy to have found it. We love coming here.

Good food, nice atmosphere at the tennis court

Very tasty dishes, something for everyone, cozy indoor and outdoor areas. Very friendly service and received a very friendly welcome from the owner. Sit down - feel good and go home with a smile.

Great atmosphere on the terrace with a view of the tennis courts, friendly club members and staff. The food was also very good and the price was ok. Also important for some: great new toilets, super clean.

Very nice evening. I had pizza, arugula and parma ham. One of the best I've had in a long time. My wife had sausage salad, which was also really tasty. Service top, ambience top. We'd love to come back.

Wonderful restaurant by the tennis court! There is a lot to choose from and the conditions are very nice. Prices also good. Recommended!

A restaurant that requires its guests to provide a username and password when visiting the website does not seem very hospitable to me. No thanks

Ich hatte alkoholfreies Radler bestellt, aber es schmeckte nach Spülmittel. Nach einem Schluck habe ich es zurückgegeben und stattdessen eine große Cola bestellt. Die Bedienung meinte aber, das sei nicht normal, und brachte mir ein neues Radler. Leider schmeckte auch dieses wie Spüli. Normalerweise trinke ich gerne alkoholfreie Getränke, die heutzutage genauso gut schmecken wie alkoholhaltige. Aber diese beiden waren ungenießbar, hat auch meine Frau bestätigt. Wir mussten beide Radler, die wir nicht getrunken haben, bezahlen. Wir hatten nicht mal den Schlemmerblock, weswegen ich verstehen würde, dass man uns die Getränke berechnet. Der Burger für 15€ war meiner Meinung nach zu klein, und die Pommes sowie der Beilagensalat hätten großzügiger portioniert sein können. Also nichts für den großen Hunger. Zudem wurde der Salat und die Pommes auf dem falschen Teller serviert. Das Essen war dennoch sehr lecker. Leider war keine Kreditkartenzahlung möglich, und das Rückgeld hatten sie auch nicht passend.

Wir haben gestern die Taufe unserer Tochter im Sandgold gefeiert. Es war toll! Auf unsere im Vorfeld genannten Wünsche wurde zu 100% eingegangen und wir konnten uns dekotechnisch komplett austoben. Der Service war sehr zuvorkommend und wirklich flott. Das Essen (Buffet) war sehr lecker und bis zum Schluss warm! Preis-Leistung sind top! Es gibt dort eine tolle Terrasse und auch einen schönen eingezäunten Spielplatz für die Kleinen. Parkplätze sind auch vorhanden. Wir haben sehr viele schönes Stunden im Sandgold verbracht und uns sehr Wohl bei Ortwin und allen Mitarbeiter*innen gefühlt. Können das Sandgold wärmsten empfehlen <3

Nettes Ambiente und freundliches Personal.

Unprätentiöse Speisekarte mit Lieblingsgerichten, die von freundlichem, kompetentem Personal hübsch präsentiert werden. Ein toller Ort, um mit einer Gruppe von Freunden oder einer großen Familienfeier zu gehen. Bilder... Pizza, Club-Sandwiches, Burger. Alle als vegetarisch oder nicht-vegan erhältlich.

Heute haben wir im Restaurant Sandgold gut gegessen. Schöne Terasse, nettes Ambiente und Spielmöglichkeiten für die Kids. Nettes Personal. Wir kommen gerne wieder.

Gutes Essen zu fairen Preisen. Wir finden es hier sehr gemütlich. Tolle Location zum Feiern. Tipp: unbedingt Tartufo zum Nachtisch nehmen. Insgesamt sehr empfehlenswert.

Wir waren früher schon des Öfteren hier im Restaurant oder auf der schönen Terrasse. Und, ich bin der Meinung, es lohnt sich heute noch mehr dort hin zu gehen als früher. Als es noch eine etwas andere Karte gab und vor allem die Preise im Getränkebereich knackiger waren. Kurzum, die Servicekräfte sind sehr freundlich und servieren zügig die Getränke und das Essen. Die Preise, vorallem bei den Getränken, sind top. Das Essen hat uns im großen und ganzen gut geschmeckt. Da ich eine Käseliebhaberin bin, freue mich, wenn die nächste Pizza 🍕 noch mehr Käse hat 😉 bzw. ich diesen Wunsch bei der nächsten Pizzabestellung artikuliere. Denn ich weiß, Ortwin, oder ein Anderer in der Küche, wird es bestimmt gerne umsetzen. In diesem Sinne: Alles Gute.

Lecker Essen, nettes Ambiente, freundliche und fixe Bedienung, gute Preise.

Wir waren heute spontan da und haben einen Platz auf der Terrasse bekommen. Man sitzt dort sehr schön. Die Bedienung war sehr freundlich und das Essen kam zügig. Es schmeckte allen sehr gut. Wir waren insgesamt sehr zufrieden, allerdings bin ich der Meinung, dass die Preise etwas zu hoch sind. 4.50 Euro zB für einen kleinen Beilagensalat empfinde ich als sehr hoch.

Super angenehmes Ambiente schnelle und aufmerksame Bedienung. Gutes solides Essen. Kann ich nur empfehlen.

Es ist zwar etwas versteckt aber es ist ein absoluter Geheimtipp. Man wird sehr freundlich begrüßt, das Ambiente ist sehr freundlich/gemütlich. Es gibt sogar eine kleine Spielecke für Kinder. Das Essen ist sehr gut, alles frisch zubereitet. Kleine Karte aber dafür sehr gute Qualität. Absolut empfehlenswert.

Wir waren heute hier essen und es war gut...Nein sehr gut. Der Eingang ist zwar etwas versteckt und nicht ganz so einladend, aber sobald man den Gastraum betritt ist das alles Schnee von gestern . Wir wurden freundlich begrüßt (+Punkte) und durften uns einen Platz aussuchen. Es gibt auch Möglichkeiten für Kinder zu spielen (Familie +Punkte).Die Karte ist nicht allzu groß was aber kein Problem ist ,es findet sich trotzdem für jeden etwas(Kindergerichte vorhanden). Das Essen wird frisch zubereitet ( Achtung wenn frisch auch heiß 😉 ) Geschmack und anrichtung perfekt. Bleibt nur zu sagen....kommt her genießt das leckere Essen nur weiterempfehlen.

Das war ja mal die positive Überraschung heute in der Gegend. Haben jeden Abend wo anders gegessen und hier war alles bestens. Super freundliche Begrüßung und Bedienung. Das Essen war der Hammer. Lecker und frisch gemacht. Top Geheimtip.

Man sitzt auf einer schönen Terrasse, geschmückt mit vielen kleinen Lichtern an der Decke und Blick auf die Tennisplätze. Das Essen ist lecker. Die Pommes sind gut gewürzt und Wurstsalat und Burger richtig frisch zubereitet. Vor allem der Burger mit dem Fleisch auf dem Grill gebraten hat ein wunderbares Aroma.

Wir waren zu 6. im Sandgold und hatten verschiedene Gerichte bestellt, die Vorspeise (Caprese Salat und Bruschetta) waren sehr lecker. Aber auch unsere Hauptgerichet Pizza und Pasta waren sehr alle lecker und ausreichend. Das Essen war schön angerichtet und das Servicepersonal sehr nett. Mann kann sowohl drinnen als auch schön draußen sitzen. Im vergleich zum vorherig geführten "Freitisch" fehlen jeoch die kleinen Besonderheiten auf der Karte. Aber ich denke im Laufe der Zeit werden diese wieder auftauchen.

Das Sandgold glänzt mit einer leckeren deutsch-italienischen Küche. Das Ambiente ist sehr gelungen und man hat zusätzlich die Möglichkeit auf der Terrasse dem Spielgeschehen der Tennisspiele zuzuschauen. Außerdem gibt einen kleinen Spielplatz für Kinder.

Die neue Terrasse und die Möblierung war dringend notwendig, auch die löchrigen Markisen wurden getauscht. Die reduzierte Karte ist ok, Essen und Service passen. Mir persönlich fehlt so ein Knaller wie z.B. die Burger...
