Wonderful falafel and friendly people make the visit very pleasant. For me, this is one of the top 3 lunch destinations in the neighborhood.

A great shop, very nice owners, however, we were just there and there was an employee there who was really disrespectful. We came in and said hello, as always, but he sat there staring at his phone and finished playing his game. No hello or anything else. When we told him that we wanted something different on the falafel sandwich instead of salad, he was pretty annoyed. He just touched the bread without washing his hands, and before doing so, he scratched his neck several times. At first, I was seething inside and didn't want to make a scene. I work in the catering industry myself and am really sad and disappointed right now 😞

The best falafel in the neighborhood. I've been coming here regularly since it opened in the 90s. The price/performance ratio is still okay (despite the 💯 price increase since 1998. But inflation, rent, etc. – understandable). Absolutely recommended!

I had a really bad experience at Sanabel. I only asked politely if there was any shawarma left, but the guy who takes the orders was extremely rude. Very disappointing attitude — definitely not the way to treat customers. Won’t be coming back.

Very tasty traditional shawarma! Service was very friendly and not too intrusive. Unfortunately, the place is a bit small and more suited to outdoor dining (but that's fine in the summer). Unfortunately, there are no restrooms, which detracts from the ambiance.

Sanabel is a lovely spot with a cozy atmosphere and a great variety of dishes to choose from. The food was tasty and portions were generous, offering good value for the price. The staff was very friendly and welcoming, which made the experience even better. Definitely a solid option if you’re looking for a casual and satisfying meal in Berlin!

Terrible. My partner and I ordered 2 falafels and they gave us 2 chicken shawarmas instead. Before they handed them to us, we asked if they were indeed falafel, and they replied “keine Fleisch” (no meat). When we opened them at home, they were chicken; we are vegetarians 😬. The worst part is that we’ve eaten there before and never had this issue.

I don't need my food served with a kiss on the hand and sugar on top, but even a modicum of politeness seems to be too much for the staff. The two guys constantly pull faces like two angry sixteen-year-olds who've just had their lunch money taken away by the older boys. Every order is met with disparaging glances and, with a bit of luck, a nasty comment. The food itself is carelessly slapped together and thrown onto the counter at the customer, along with a nasty glare. I'm really fed up with this place now. Especially since there are much better alternatives nearby, like the "Beirut of the 70s."

The vegan falafel is incredibly good! - You have to try it. The service is very friendly and welcoming. The ambiance isn't great, but it doesn't need to be, because the falafel is perfect for eating while walking.

The food is tasty, but unfortunately, the staff takes their bad mood out on the customers. They're extremely unfriendly and don't prepare the takeaway dishes with the requested ingredients... Hygiene is questionable.

Solid Lebanese spot. A little too expensive for what I got but it is right next to boxi. I also didn’t get any bread/carbs in my teller. For this reason I think it’s a very high three. If I had bread/pitta it would be bumped. What I got was delicious though it must be said.

Had a falafel wrap from here, was so delicious - falafel is completely freshly made and crispy, the salad is also fresh and tasty with mint and other herbs within. service also fast. Great to get and then eat in the park

The best shawarma in Fhain for sure! Everything is so fresh, mix shawarma with falafel - AMAZING. Quite big portion for only 6€, considering that all Döner places cost 8-9€, it's much better than any typical Döner place. Highly recommend!

After 3 years living close by and frequently eating there I finally decided to write a review. The food is good and the price is competitive. However, the environment is SUPER hostile whenever the boss/owner is not there. The gentleman who works there (used to work at night only and now it’s around the clock) is arguably the most passive agressive person I’ve met. In my experience he has: -laughed at me and other customers when ordering -ignored me completely when saying hello or coming into the store -closed early or left to smoke for a good 20 mins while you wait to order, without saying a word of course -insulted me and other customers in his language It really is a pity, because I see hundreds of people (especially women, POC and queer people) actively avoid this place since this dude joined. As a matter of fact, all the negative reviews (please check them, everyone had a shitty experience there it seems) started only after this guy joined. I wonder why the owners don’t do anything about this, it is actively hurting their business. I also wonder how much higher the level of hostility can escalate because it always seems to top itself.

Great falafel! Absolute recommendation

Ordered a chicken shawarma and wasn’t really impressed. Chicken was alright but nothing special compared to other places in Berlin. Veggies were bland and all I could taste was onion. On top of that, the guy making the food wasn’t wearing gloves and was also handling cash, which felt pretty unhygienic.

Actually my regular Fallafel, but I'm no longer satisfied. The quality varies greatly depending on who prepares it. It shouldn't be like that. I just had almost only salad in my sandwich for the umpteenth time. I'll try the competition next time because these differences annoy me and I don't just want to eat salad.
