A distinguished and clean restaurant. I highly recommend it for a variety of meals, from grilled meat and chicken kebabs to appetizers and yogurt served in a copper cup. They also serve fresh oven-baked bread, and they also offer desserts after the meal. The prices are reasonable, and parking is available. The location is excellent. Air conditioning is essential in the summer. The place can accommodate an entire tourist group, and they have the capacity to accommodate a large number of customers. The service is excellent, and the receptionists are friendly and welcoming. The group leader, Mr. Youssef, from the Emirati Al Raya Company, contacted us to recommend this restaurant for use in Karlsruhe.

We wanted to eat desserts there. The selection was very limited. The staff who served us was a bit rude and, by my standards, rather unfriendly. It's a classic snack bar...

This was our first time at SAMIS, and it was really good. The service was very friendly and attentive. The food tasted good and was freshly prepared. We found the prices a bit high, but overall we were satisfied. We'll definitely be back again.

Service 0% The tables are sticking on all sides! Not a single table has been wiped properly! The waiter's behavior is cold and I don't even know how to describe it! Atmosphere 10%.. I ordered the meal similar to a doner with white meat or chicken and the noodles were even alive! I ordered a mixed salad as well except for lettuce and what you see has no connection! These are restaurants that think that only money is at stake! When a restaurant opens and advertises one like this, then it should be like this!

If you like lots of freshly grilled meat from the charcoal grill, this Iraqi restaurant is the perfect place for you. If you prefer lots of salad with less spit, you'll have to walk a few meters further to the Turkish restaurant. To our surprise, we were served a welcome from the kitchen: a deliciously crispy Persian flatbread straight from the tandoor oven with two dips: tzaziki, wonderfully seasoned with plenty of dill, and a tangy, slightly hot tomato dip with finely chopped gherkins. Neider, very, very tasty. Then came the lulas (yufkas); my wife and daughter had Adana, and I had Orient (minced lamb sharwarma). The meat was juicy, low in fat, and perfectly subtly seasoned, allowing the meat's flavor to take center stage. I think they use a little yogurt in the marinade. My ladies, like me, really enjoyed it. Only the ayran was a bit oversalted for me, but that could be due to the local style, as it was my first time at an Iraqi restaurant. There are plenty of outdoor seating areas where you can also smoke, but even more tables inside in an oriental atmosphere. The friendly man at the grill and the bread baker at the tandoor are masters of their craft, the open kitchen is very clean, and it doesn't smell of a deep fryer like most kebab shops. Conclusion: The price/performance ratio is almost unbeatable; you're in a fine restaurant, not a dingy snack bar, and you'll be greeted warmly by the many employees. Also worth mentioning is the separate cashier; here, no dirty money passes through the same hands that prepare your food! We're looking forward to our next visit, where we want to try one of the huge grill plates.

Never eat again and the service is very bad

We went to Samis Restaurant in Karlsruhe and we really liked it. The food was really delicious, freshly prepared and tasted great. The service was also friendly and attentive, and the atmosphere in the restaurant is nice and inviting. However, there is a point deduction when it comes to price-performance. The prices are quite high and we find that the relationship between price and what you get is not entirely consistent. Overall, a nice visit and good food – but definitely on the higher end in terms of price.

We were in this restaurant yesterday and will definitely not go there again! Absolutely not recommended!!! The good reviews cannot be genuine, but probably come from friends/acquaintances. The food is ok, but completely overpriced and ready-made products are used. Service, if you can call it that, very bad. As a guest you feel unwelcome and annoying.

I really come here often. The meat is always fresh and incredibly tasty. My favorite is definitely the Iraqi-style Orient Kebab. Quite hearty because of the lamb fat, but the taste is just amazing! You should also definitely try the chicken wings. There used to be tea and a piece of baklava on the house after dinner, but since the ownership changed, that's probably gone. No matter, luckily the food is still great! The service is quick, everyone is super friendly, hopefully it stays that way.

When he finally brought me the food he was angry and said that they always prepare the kebab like that. But the problem was that I had never tried Iraqi kebab before. Both times the kebab was bad - burnt on the outside and not fresh on the inside. I didn't eat my food and threw it in a trash can after leaving the restaurant. The delivery service was also extremely poor.

While you're talking to the "waiter", he's talking to another person in Turkish and doesn't look you in the eyes. There was no hello or anything like that. Straight to business and that too in an unfriendly and disrespectful manner. You feel absolutely welcome in the store. First and last time :D

So I don't understand what people here in Karlsruhe mean by food 😂 I've never eaten something so disgusting in my life. Mezze and fries were good. The rest is “garbage”. We were there today I was so looking forward to the liver I ordered! The waiter came but brought us veal instead of liver. After complaining, he took the plates with him, after what felt like 2 minutes he brought the same plates again and claimed we ordered them. Discussion began. After a few minutes, he said very cheekily, "Then I'll just throw it away. I lost it, I told him he could keep everything and let's go. I will not enter this store again. Also advise all my friends against it. Toilets could also be cleaned, but hygiene is different. Food usually comes to the table cold. If you don't need customers, keep doing what you're doing.

Very, very tasty and friendly, we once had Adana grill plates and chicken skewer plates. Mezze, including the starter, was very tasty. Great value for money, large portions. Clear recommendation for all Izgara (grilled dishes) lovers.

An opinion is mixed. The food was good, meats tender and well cooked, bread good and warm. But disastrous service. The woman came to take the order 2 minutes after giving us the menus, we still had the menus open... For advice, take the orders when the customers have closed the menus and place them on the table. Then we ask for bread, she says okay and never comes back, we ask for sauces and they throw them on the plate. The food is great but the service needs to be reviewed.

The place is beautiful, clean and large. The kebab has a good taste and is of medium size. The sauce, tomatoes and onions are very few and not varied, and there are no appetizers like in Iraq. The price for one person kebab, yogurt and yogurt has become 20€ with a discount.

Its a good iption place for Halal food . During Ramadan ,there is a small food buffet available. Although soups and drinks after or with meals are not included in the buffet price. There is a parking house near the restaurant .

The service was good and fast. The food is very tasty with the smokey flavors on the meat. The combination of the taste of the grilled meat, sauce, veggies, and rice/bread was well balanced. They also have vegetarian options. The place is also clean and spacious. I would recommend this place to others.

SAMIS Restaurant is definitely a must for meat lovers! The grilled meat dishes have an incredible flavor, especially the chicken wings are an absolute highlight. Before every meal, delicious flatbread is served with three different dips, simply delicious! Reservations for larger groups are easy and the service was excellent. Definitely worth a visit to enjoy the great experience of charcoal grilling. Highly recommended!

Had a mixed experience at SAMIS RESTAURANT. Delicious food as always, but a small hiccup in service led to a billing error. The waiter was very impolite. Does not understand english and noted incorrect food order. Be careful if you are international customer. You might end in paying more for an incorrect order. Despite this, I appreciate the food quality.

Das Essen schmeckt immer vorzüglich. Fleischliebhaber kommen hier garantiert auf ihre Kosten. Sehr zart zubereitet und mit einem rauchigen Aroma. Die Preise sind überaus fair, für die Größe, der Portionen. Die Bedienung ist sehr zuvorkommend und überaus freundlich. In der Regel wird man mit einem Selbst gemachten Brot und Dips empfangen um das KURZE warten mit snacken zu überbrücken Absolut und mit guten Gewissen empfehlenswert.

Der deutsche Gaumen sollte einen Bogen mache ... sollte er aber in der ganzen Straße. Von außen recht unscheinbar, jedoch verbirgt sich drin ein kleiner Tempel. Leider etwas ungepflegt, hier sollte mehr auf Sauberkeit geachtet werden. Das Fleisch war sehr schnell gebraten worden und war innen etwas roh. Jedoch geschmalcklich ganz gut - das Fleisch wird durch seine Tomatenmarinade leicht süßlich durch das Grillen, was mag nicht jeder. Werde aber definitiv nochmal hin gehen.

Habe das Lokal durch Zufall entdeckt und was soll ich sagen, zum Glück. Alle dort waren sehr nett und das Essen war sehr lecker. Es gab vorab so ein dünnes Brot, was schon super lecker war. Auxh das Hauptgericht war spitze. Kurz gesagt auf jeden Fall empfehlenswert.

Ein tolles Restaurant. Von außen wirkt der Laden sehr unscheinbar, im Inneren verbirgt sich aber ein recht großes Restaurant mit sehr freundlicher Bedienung und wirklich überzeugenden Essen. Gute Qualität, Geschmacklich sehr gut und schön angerichtet. Die Bestellungen kamen schnell an den Tisch. Alles in allem sehr zu empfehlen, lediglich beim Ambiente ist noch Luft nach oben.

Mein Favorit in Karlsruhe! Esse mittlerweile jede Woche einmal dort und bin seit dem ersten Mal nie enttäuscht worden. Das Essen schmeckt sehr gut, v.A. die Grillaromen und die hauseigene Fleischzubereitung ist etwas ganz Besonderes 👍🏼 Zu jeder Mahlzeit gibt es eine kleine Vorspeise, nämlich frisch gebackenes Fladenbrot mit 2 Dips (Joghurt-Kräuter und eine pikante Alternative). Der Service ist zuvorkommend und freundlich. Das Essen ist sehr schnell zubereitet und bis die Hauptmahlzeit da ist, hat man frisches und vor Allem noch warmes Fladenbrot welches direkt aus dem Ofen kommt. Der Ayran ist frisch und lecker. Insgesamt ein hervorragendes Preis/Leistungsverhältnis 🙏🏼 Ich werde weiterhin euer Stammgast bleiben, ihr seid die Besten 🔥

Mein Freund und ich kommen regelmäßig hier her. Nirgends gibt es so ein gutes Grillrestaurant mit so einem Preis-/Leistungsverhältnis. Der selbstgemachte Ayran ist ein muss. Herzensempfehlung 🫶🏼
