Sami's Restaurant in Karlsruhe is without a doubt one of the best places for authentic Iraqi cuisine. The food is outstanding – delicately spiced, typically Iraqi, and incredibly delicious. The quality of the dishes is on par with restaurants in Erbil, Suleimaniyah, or Nisab. The ambiance is clean, stylish, and elegant, and you feel welcome from the moment you arrive. If you want to enjoy genuine Iraqi kebab, you don't have to fly to Iraq – a visit to Sami's in Karlsruhe is all it takes. If there were ten stars to give, I would give them without hesitation. The food was okay, it was our first time eating Iraqi food. There are better fries at the market, but they were alright. The salad had a lot of carrot strips. Food arrived quickly, service was friendly. The atmosphere was a bit lackluster. Regarding the lighting... in sub-zero temperatures in November, we found the active air conditioning bothersome.

I visited the restaurant with my girlfriend because of the many positive reviews. Unfortunately, we were extremely disappointed. We ordered "Lula with Oriental Kebab" (rolled bread with meat and salad). After a long wait, we only received our food upon request. It was served wrapped in aluminum foil. This made the bread very soft, almost rubbery – apparently, it had been wrapped for too long. When it fell apart, we discovered that the meat inside was still raw. No employee took the time to talk to us. We finally got up, went to the cashier, and explained the situation to an employee. The employee didn't react at all, but simply told us the amount. Absolutely outrageous. He wasn't even bothered to point out that we had taken photos of the raw meat. Very disappointing – both in terms of the food and the service.

They also serve fresh oven-baked bread, and they also offer desserts after the meal. The prices are reasonable, and parking is available. The location is excellent. Air conditioning is essential in the summer. The place can accommodate an entire tourist group, and they have the capacity to accommodate a large number of customers. The service is excellent, and the receptionists are friendly and welcoming. The group leader, Mr. Youssef, from the Emirati Al Raya Company, contacted us to recommend this restaurant for use in Karlsruhe.

The quality has declined significantly in the last year, which is a shame because I really enjoy eating here and the kebabs are delicious. This was our first time at SAMIS, and it was really good. The service was very friendly and attentive. The food tasted good and was freshly prepared. We found the prices a bit high, but overall we were satisfied. We'll definitely be back again.

Service 0% The tables are sticking on all sides! Not a single table has been wiped properly! The waiter's behavior is cold and I don't even know how to describe it! Atmosphere 10%.. I ordered the meal similar to a doner with white meat or chicken and the noodles were even alive! I ordered a mixed salad as well except for lettuce and what you see has no connection! These are restaurants that think that only money is at stake! When a restaurant opens and advertises one like this, then it should be like this!

If you like lots of freshly grilled meat from the charcoal grill, this Iraqi restaurant is the perfect place for you. If you prefer lots of salad with less spit, you'll have to walk a few meters further to the Turkish restaurant. To our surprise, we were served a welcome from the kitchen: a deliciously crispy Persian flatbread straight from the tandoor oven with two dips: tzaziki, wonderfully seasoned with plenty of dill, and a tangy, slightly hot tomato dip with finely chopped gherkins. Neider, very, very tasty. Then came the lulas (yufkas); my wife and daughter had Adana, and I had Orient (minced lamb sharwarma). The meat was juicy, low in fat, and perfectly subtly seasoned, allowing the meat's flavor to take center stage. I think they use a little yogurt in the marinade. My ladies, like me, really enjoyed it. Only the ayran was a bit oversalted for me, but that could be due to the local style, as it was my first time at an Iraqi restaurant. There are plenty of outdoor seating areas where you can also smoke, but even more tables inside in an oriental atmosphere. The friendly man at the grill and the bread baker at the tandoor are masters of their craft, the open kitchen is very clean, and it doesn't smell of a deep fryer like most kebab shops. Conclusion: The price/performance ratio is almost unbeatable; you're in a fine restaurant, not a dingy snack bar, and you'll be greeted warmly by the many employees. Also worth mentioning is the separate cashier; here, no dirty money passes through the same hands that prepare your food! We're looking forward to our next visit, where we want to try one of the huge grill plates.

We went to Samis Restaurant in Karlsruhe and we really liked it. The food was really delicious, freshly prepared and tasted great. The service was also friendly and attentive, and the atmosphere in the restaurant is nice and inviting. However, there is a point deduction when it comes to price-performance. The prices are quite high and we find that the relationship between price and what you get is not entirely consistent. Overall, a nice visit and good food – but definitely on the higher end in terms of price.

I really come here often. The meat is always fresh and incredibly tasty. My favorite is definitely the Iraqi-style Orient Kebab. Quite hearty because of the lamb fat, but the taste is just amazing! You should also definitely try the chicken wings. There used to be tea and a piece of baklava on the house after dinner, but since the ownership changed, that's probably gone. No matter, luckily the food is still great! The service is quick, everyone is super friendly, hopefully it stays that way.

When he finally brought me the food he was angry and said that they always prepare the kebab like that. But the problem was that I had never tried Iraqi kebab before. Both times the kebab was bad - burnt on the outside and not fresh on the inside. I didn't eat my food and threw it in a trash can after leaving the restaurant. The delivery service was also extremely poor.

We were there today I was so looking forward to the liver I ordered! The waiter came but brought us veal instead of liver. After complaining, he took the plates with him, after what felt like 2 minutes he brought the same plates again and claimed we ordered them. Discussion began. After a few minutes, he said very cheekily, "Then I'll just throw it away. I lost it, I told him he could keep everything and let's go. I will not enter this store again. Also advise all my friends against it. Toilets could also be cleaned, but hygiene is different. Food usually comes to the table cold. If you don't need customers, keep doing what you're doing.

The woman came to take the order 2 minutes after giving us the menus, we still had the menus open... For advice, take the orders when the customers have closed the menus and place them on the table. Then we ask for bread, she says okay and never comes back, we ask for sauces and they throw them on the plate. The food is great but the service needs to be reviewed.

The place is beautiful, clean and large. The kebab has a good taste and is of medium size. The sauce, tomatoes and onions are very few and not varied, and there are no appetizers like in Iraq. The price for one person kebab, yogurt and yogurt has become 20€ with a discount.

Its a good iption place for Halal food . During Ramadan ,there is a small food buffet available. Although soups and drinks after or with meals are not included in the buffet price. There is a parking house near the restaurant .

SAMIS Restaurant is definitely a must for meat lovers! The grilled meat dishes have an incredible flavor, especially the chicken wings are an absolute highlight. Before every meal, delicious flatbread is served with three different dips, simply delicious! Reservations for larger groups are easy and the service was excellent. Definitely worth a visit to enjoy the great experience of charcoal grilling. Highly recommended!

The service was good and fast. The food is very tasty with the smokey flavors on the meat. The combination of the taste of the grilled meat, sauce, veggies, and rice/bread was well balanced. They also have vegetarian options. The place is also clean and spacious. I would recommend this place to others.

Had a mixed experience at SAMIS RESTAURANT. Delicious food as always, but a small hiccup in service led to a billing error. The waiter was very impolite. Does not understand english and noted incorrect food order. Be careful if you are international customer. You might end in paying more for an incorrect order. Despite this, I appreciate the food quality.
