Known from radio and TV: A fantastic restaurant, and above all, with a fantastic atmosphere! I've only experienced something as colorful and diverse in Medellin and Sinaloa!

As soon as we entered, we were warmly greeted and immediately felt welcome. The atmosphere is tasteful and inviting. The service was extremely friendly, attentive, and very professional. The food was a real highlight: lovingly presented, superbly seasoned, and prepared with noticeably high-quality ingredients. The grilled meat plate was particularly delicious and highly recommended! You can immediately tell that heart and soul go into every detail here. Kudos to the entire team – we'll definitely be back.

The food, service, ambiance, and cleanliness were top-notch! We really liked Fatih as head waiter; he's very knowledgeable about guest service and yet he still helps the other waiters, even cleaning tables. Respect!

Unfortunately, only the bread and the appetizer were okay. The Adana was very greasy, and I couldn't finish it. Unfortunately, the service was even worse. It didn't reflect a high-class restaurant. We waited quite a long time for our order to be taken, and we waited almost 25 minutes for the bill. Then we just got up and paid at the cash register ourselves. The atmosphere was okay. Overall, I found the prices for the food and the service to be overpriced. I won't be coming back.

Truly top quality. There's nothing unusual about it. You can tell there's a thought behind it. I had the feeling they've brought out the best in Persian, Kurdish, Turkish, and Arabic grilled specialties.

Saman is the place to go when you are craving something rich, smoky, and deeply satisfying. On weekends they serve a special lamb dish, brought out sizzling on a hot cast iron plate, full of flavor and aroma. The mezze platter was fantastic, both in taste and presentation, with a variety of textures and bold spices. The fluffy bread was huge and perfect for dipping and scooping. After the feast they bring tea to help mellow out that workout of fat, smoke, and succulent lamb meat. It is the kind of meal that leaves you full and content, happy to sit back and take your time.

Unfortunately we didn't take a photo of this delicious meal because it was quite tasty, there will be a photo next time. On Sunday June 8th 2025 at 5:00 p.m. we went to the Saman Restaurant. The service was very attentive and friendly. For three people there was a delicious mixed grill plate with delicious rice and grilled fresh tomatoes and hot red peppers, homemade very tasty bread that was much better than my mother-in-law's and with four different dips and that is the first time that I have eaten all four dips with the delicious bread. And the salad was fresh before my husband ate the salad. All in all it was perfectly seasoned. Tea had a very good taste of bergamont. I have to honestly say that I don't season my food at all in restaurants, so I can say that I will eat at this restaurant again and that was exactly the Saman Restaurant. There are various restaurants in Cologne, Mülheim, Ehrenfeld, and Lövenich, whether Turkish or German, I won't eat there again because it wasn't to my taste or the service took a long time for our drinks to arrive. The food came first, and after everyone asked when we would get our drinks, we had already finished eating. Maşallah 🧿 to Saman Restaurant and thank you for the delicious food. I had the pleasure of enjoying a lovely late Eid lunch at Saman Restaurant, and it was a fantastic experience from start to finish. We ordered a mix of kebab, chicken andTurkish- Middle Eastern BBQ tellers, and the food did not disappoint. The meat was absolutely delicious – tender, flavorful, and melt-in-your-mouth soft (best we had so far in Germany). The chicken was just as impressive: juicy, well-seasoned, and perfectly grilled. The live station of the bread and the bread itself was something else. What really stood out, aside from the food, was the warm and attentive service. The staff were incredibly friendly, making us feel welcome and well taken care of throughout our meal. On top of that, the restaurant itself is clean, inviting, and neatly presented – a lovely spot for a relaxed yet special meal. Highly recommend for anyone craving quality Middle Eastern cuisine in Cologne. I’ll definitely be coming back!

We were here for the first time yesterday and were very satisfied. The ambiance is okay, but it was very loud and the seating wasn't particularly nice. The location isn't great, so we're only giving it three stars. However, we were impressed with the food. The meat was juicy, and all the dishes were homemade and well-seasoned. The homemade ayran was excellent! The service was also good. Unfortunately, some dishes were sold out, and you could only pay in cash. Be sure to make a reservation!!!

The ambiance is chic and modern, a bit uncomfortable for my taste because the space is so large. But that's not a problem considering the excellent food ;)

A spontaneous stop at SAMAN, Deutz Kalker Str 142. Excellent food, very attentive staff, and we got a seat despite it being a busy Friday night. Super fresh starters, amazing 250g fillet! Would go back anytime!

We were only in Cologne for one night and needed something to eat. We ended up at Saman. We arrived around 5:30 a.m., there wasn't a single seat available, and yet we were asked for a reservation, which, of course, we didn't have. They told us they would "still accommodate" us and sat us at a small table for two (the bread alone took up most of the table, while I was being hung with jackets from the basement, as the coat hooks were directly above – and next to – my head, not a good experience). By the time we finished eating, the restaurant had filled up, but there was still room. The request for the reservation and the associated generosity in accommodating us doesn't make for a pleasant feeling for the guest. If the restaurant had been bursting at the seams, I might have felt the "expected gratitude," but instead, I felt more tolerated. Quite expensive: I'm spoiled. I live in Hamburg near a neighborhood with many very good halal restaurants. Here, I sometimes get better quality and pay significantly less. I'm happy to pay a good price for good food, but charging €10 for a bottle of water—phew! You can do it, but you don't have to! The quality of the food was good, the prices were okay, we liked the atmosphere, the service was friendly, but there were too many people bustling around who were "not in charge."

The meal was not only a visual highlight, but also tasted simply outstanding. The kebab was perfectly seasoned and juicy, the freshly baked bread was both soft and crispy. The saffron rice was also particularly noteworthy – light and aromatic. The side dishes, such as the yogurt sauce and the grilled tomatoes and chilies, rounded off the whole dish perfectly.

Let's start with the bad: I ordered a mixed grill, but unfortunately, I didn't like it at all. The meat (chicken, Adana, and lamb skewers) was simply not tasty and didn't have a good texture. A complete disappointment, unfortunately. The service was otherwise 10/10, as was the ambiance!
