The tables were too close together, no privacy, we didn't feel comfortable, however the food was excellent!

We were there for a family dinner. We had made a reservation, but there was a gap next to our assigned table (on the right side of the entrance), and cold air was coming in through the gap, affecting our ability to concentrate on the meal. Despite explaining the situation, our table was not changed due to occupancy. We tried to cover the gap by hanging our coats, but it didn't work. We hoped they would find a solution... The second negative I'd like to mention is that the second loaf we ordered, in addition to the first, was dry. The first loaf was very good, but the second was cold and dry. The staff were very kind and professional. The food was delicious. The appetizer plate was also very satisfying. We'd still like to give it another try.

The food was quite good, but the service was a disappointment. There were four of us, and we were already seated, yet we were asked for no reason if we wanted to change tables. On top of that, our drink orders were forgotten – I had to state three times what we wanted to drink. The tables for four people were too small. It would be great if a real person responded to the review instead of AI.

We were there on Saturday with four adults and four children and paid a total of around €450. However, the food was absolutely not worth the price. The tomahawk steaks (two for €100 each) seemed frozen solid and tasted disappointing, and the lamb was also weak. When we mentioned this to the staff, they only offered us baklava as compensation. The owner refused a discount. Overall, the quality of the food was poor, the way they handled our complaints was unprofessional, and the value for money was very disappointing. We had been looking forward to a nice family evening with good food and were unfortunately let down.

Everything was great! The service, the food – simply wow!

The food was delicious, but the service was a bit slow, and the prices were a bit steep. A kebab for one cost 25 euros, a mezze platter 20 euros, so we paid around 80 euros in total for two. The portions were hearty, and the tandoori bread they served was truly delicious. It's worth a try.

We were a party of four adults and four children at Zaman Restaurant. Among other things, we ordered two tomahawk steaks and two mixed platters. Unfortunately, the experience was very disappointing: the tomahawk steaks were clearly frozen solid and hadn't thawed properly – the meat was still cold inside and inedible. The waiter admitted his mistake and said he hadn't realized the meat was still frozen. Nevertheless, no apology or compensation was offered, and we ended up having to pay around €450. This is absolutely unjustified for the quality of the food and the service. We would therefore not recommend this restaurant. In retrospect, the many positive reviews seem questionable. It's a shame – we were looking forward to a nice evening.

The only minor criticism: If you're assigned a table for two, you might find yourself sitting quite close to the next table. The tables could also be a bit larger. The food was very good. We were at Zaman for lunch before Oktagon #78 and honestly couldn't have asked for a better place. The restaurant is just a few minutes from the Lanxess Arena, making it perfect if you want a proper meal before an event. I had the grill platter with kebab skewers and lamb skewers – and it was really great. The meat was grilled to perfection, super juicy, and wonderfully seasoned. There was no one-size-fits-all flavor, but truly authentic. The side dishes were also fresh and harmonious, and everything arrived hot and appetizingly. You can just tell that someone here knows their stuff. The ambiance is oriental-modern, with warm colors, pleasant background music, and a clean, well-maintained feel. The service was attentive, friendly, and took their time even with a full house – no rush, no stress. We were there with a few friends and felt really comfortable. It was exactly the blend of good food, a relaxed atmosphere, and friendly service you'd want before heading off to an event. We've made it clear: the next time we're in Cologne around the arena, we'll be back at Zaman. Highly recommended – five stars without hesitation!

The service was excellent and friendly. The food is truly delicious, and it's a quiet and lovely place to go with the family. Unfortunately, I didn't get a chance to take photos of the food (we couldn't wait any longer). There aren't many options for vegetarians. This is truly a meat restaurant. If you're not in the mood for meat, it might not be the right place. The only downside: It's a bit more expensive than other restaurants, but the food and service are worth it.
