Food, service, hygiene, everything top - highly recommended

A good grill restaurant with the feel of a slightly better snack bar. The people are incredibly friendly and welcoming. It's a bit too loud and cramped. A little more class instead of quantity, and it would be perfect.

Incredibly expensive: 4 shish kebabs plus 2 teas for €55, and the kebabs weren't tasty. Never again!!!

We traveled from Stuttgart and were guided by the good reviews – definitely the right decision! The food was delicious. For six adults and two children, we ordered a mixed grill platter for five people, which was perfectly sufficient.

We tried the special dishes at Restaurant — they only serve with a reservation, so it’s better to plan a bit ahead. The food and grilled dishes were actually pretty close to Turkish cuisine. The mixed appetizer plate and the buttery puff bread they serve before the meal were amazing. I’d definitely recommend their homemade ayran. Also, it was nice that the head waiter took care of us personally. We managed to find parking, but it might be tricky during dinner hours.

To put it quickly and simply, the food is amazingly delicious. While they also offer dishes like kebabs, which usually taste similar at every restaurant, it's different here. It has an unusual flavor (well-intentioned), and the atmosphere is fantastic. The way they brought the food to us and demonstrated it to us with fire and coal under the "plate" was extraordinary. The service is brilliant; overall, our visit was worthwhile, and we would come again. I would recommend the lamb skewer for one person with two kebab skewers, costing €25.

Very tasty, authentic food. A fusion of Turkish and Arabic/Oriental elements. Fresh, homemade tandoori bread. Selected meat dishes, served on a hot plate. Very polite and courteous staff. Located outside the hustle and bustle of the city, in the Deutz district, near the Lanxess Arena. Parking situation rather difficult.

Ayran needs improvement (suggestion: Persian Ayran or a more sour version), Lavas bread is good but needs to be thinner and crispier with tandoori effect). Meze also needs improvement. Kebab was very tasty, rice was very good. The rest is perfect (service, facilities etc), but our table was too close to the neighboring table.

Food, service and ambience were okay. No better than other Turkish restaurants. In my opinion, high prices are not justified. Bread for the starter was very tasty. But I find it outrageous that there are different prices online than what they are ultimately billed for.

unfortunately we were there five people and we were treated in a way that was not good at all and we ordered food and we waited 1 hour and 20 minutes terrible that we ask for our order when we get an answer that they have lost our note. Everyone who came after us got their food and we paid €214. Unnecessary it is not worth wasting time and sitting and waiting for the food the way they treat the people who are on vacation. that way they take care of people who are not from Germany.!!! then when we come to the till to pay money on a receipt. I was at the Saman restaurant in Cologne for the first time today and I was absolutely thrilled! As soon as you enter the restaurant you feel welcome - the ambience is warm, inviting and stylish. I would particularly like to highlight our waiter Fatih. He was extremely friendly, attentive and at the same time pleasantly unobtrusive. His competence and warm manner made the visit a completely successful experience. It's rare to experience such service - Fatih, thank you very much! The food was simply terrific. The meat – tender, perfectly seasoned and grilled to perfection – was by far the best I've ever eaten. Every bite is a pleasure! The side dishes were also fresh, aromatic and harmonious. You can taste the quality and passion with which the food is cooked here. Conclusion: If you are looking for an outstanding restaurant in Cologne with excellent food and first-class service, the Saman Restaurant is the right place for you. I'll definitely be back!

Amazing… service, atmosphere, food, presentation were all superb. We went on Saturday at noon without making a reservation, but thankfully they accepted us. The lamb rotisserie and stuffed pilaf were amazing, I felt like I was eating in Türkiye.

By far the best halal meat restaurant in Germany. The service is very fast. The taste is almost perfect. There is no parking problem. Prices are a little higher than other meat restaurants, but you get your money's worth. It is a business that lives up to the saying "Quality is never a coincidence."

Everything was great – especially the food and the service. But what impressed me most - and why we're here for the second time today - is the atmosphere: a wonderful ambience without any music. You can chat in peace and enjoy the bright, friendly space with good food, interesting conversations and beautiful moments.

Four falafel, a lamb skewer with salad and hummus for €28 - it didn't sound particularly spectacular on the menu at first, and I wondered why the price was set so high. But when the food was served, I immediately knew what I had ordered. The dish was beautifully prepared (see picture) and tasted excellent! The free starter was freshly baked bread with various sauces – a great surprise. After the meal, tea was even offered. The restaurant was very clean, the atmosphere was stylish and inviting. The staff was extremely friendly and the service was perfect. Overall, one of my best restaurant experiences so far.

Where should I even start? We were in Saman for the first time today and we are still absolutely amazed. It started with the fantastic service, which left absolutely nothing to be desired. The people and service were authentic, personable and gave us the feeling of being guests of a humorous and funny uncle. Despite the humor, the organization and service in this restaurant was absolutely top class. We didn't have a reservation and it was a Saturday evening, but everything was done to make our stay possible. I don't have the superlatives to describe the food. You have to experience it yourself and enjoy it. We had the mixed grill platter and we can only recommend it to everyone. Here you can try out the different meat dishes. On our grill, one meat dish was more delicious than the next and every bite was a highlight. My personal favorite was the lamb. Another highlight is the bread freshly baked in the tandor or tandir, which is served before the main course. Here too it is difficult to eat enough. If you don't go to the Saman Restaurant, you're missing out. We asked ourselves how a 4.9 rating comes about with over 6,000 reviews and are now wondering why Saman only has 4.9 stars and not 5 stars. Absolute absolute recommendation! The meat dishes and side dishes in particular were on point - you can immediately taste the quality. A big compliment goes to Serkan – a top waiter with real hospitality! Friendly, attentive and always with a smile – he rounded off the visit perfectly. The design of the restaurant is also a real eye-catcher: modern, stylish and cozy at the same time. Excellent quality and a lovely atmosphere. The food tastes very authentic, especially the bread prepared fresh in front of our eyes. The meat tasted great; our only complaint was that the combination of meat and rice became a bit dry over time without any sauce. Still, 9/10.

Despite the large crowds, the team delivered a truly impressive level of quality. The meat dishes were incredibly tender and flavorful, perfectly seasoned, and grilled to perfection.
