Saigon Vietnamesisches Restaurant in Siegen

I ate there with a friend today because I'd always raved about the restaurant. Either there's a new chef, new owners, or they weren't in the mood today. Tables were carelessly set up in front of the restaurant, without a hint of decoration. The food was a tragedy. The sweet and sour prawns were served in an indefinable ready-made ketchup sauce with canned pineapple. The carrots and peppers were fresh. The avocado salad was drowned in a salty Maggi sauce, terrible. The only tasty thing was the mango lassi, certainly not homemade. Apparently, we weren't allowed to drink any more, because after the food was served, there was no further service. I even had to go inside to pay. Unfortunately, it wasn't a good experience; two years ago, the food was excellent. The smell of feces in the immediate vicinity rounded off the "experience." You don't get the feeling that they want to satisfy guests or generate revenue. A real shame. A comment on your statement: I don't understand what the big dog has to do with the quality of the food and service. But you should unfortunately be able to deal with criticism and not view our opinion as incorrect. You didn't come to our table during our meal, nor did you come to our table afterward. Now blaming your lack of service on a sweet dog that lay quietly under the table doesn't make it any better. I've eaten with you before, and we were thrilled. I won't be coming back because of your unfriendly response alone. And I doubt that obvious reviews, especially in the last week that were probably fake, will make it any better. You should return to your previous level of quality and view criticism as constructive.

The food was delicious, and the portions on the lunch menu were also very large. Pho soup with chicken Fried noodles with crispy fried duck Appetizer: 2 spring rolls 2 non-alcoholic beers Total: 35 euros The seating is comfortable, the small restaurant has friendly, attentive service. But... The floor and the benches weren't that clean. In the hallway to the restrooms, there's children's clothes, dirty cleaning supplies, and an old vacuum cleaner. The restrooms also seem to have not been cleaned in a while. This could be improved. The outdoor seating is unusable in its current state.

I came back after two years. My salmon curry was still delicious. My boyfriend had a dish called PhoBo, and the broth was perfect. My fresh lemon drink needed less sugar. My boyfriend and I had a perfect dinner. I'll be back.

Very tasty food and very nice service.

The food delivered was absolutely inedible, as it was completely overseasoned (we're relatively insensitive). The lady on the phone tried to blame the delivery driver. My point that the delivery driver certainly didn't prepare the food didn't elicit any sympathy. There was no willingness to resolve the issue. A refund of the amount already paid was also not possible. Absolutely outrageous and a rip-off. I will never order anything from here again and can only warn everyone. The food had to be thrown away. By the way, we had to wait a very long time for the food.

I'm a big eater. I get my fill here, and the food tastes really good. One star deducted because the ambiance isn't the most modern and the waiters aren't that attentive.

We ordered food from this restaurant. We ordered two appetizers, both of which were very greasy. Two of the three appetizers were good. The last of the three main courses was unfortunately unsatisfactory. I ordered fried rice (including vegetables). What I got was dry rice, with no sauce. The vegetables were also minimal. There were five thin strips of carrot and a few peas and corn in all the rice. But it was essentially dry rice with no vegetables. A shame! The other two dishes were delicious. Therefore, 3/5

Very tasty food and otherwise just classic Vietnamese. The ambiance is okay, and the service is also okay. The drinks are good, too.

We visited Saigon for the first time yesterday. The service was very friendly and fast. The food was good, and there's a varied menu. The only criticism is the dirty tables outside. It's a bit unhygienic, with food scraps and street dirt between the wooden joints.

I ordered a vegan vegetable dish with tofu and rice – instead, I received a completely different dish with meat, which tasted more like a meat stew. For someone who follows a vegan diet, this is obviously completely unacceptable. I also ordered fried noodles, which were unfortunately completely overcooked. The only dish that was somewhat decent was the flat rice noodles with vegetables – albeit rather dry. Overall, the meal was disappointing and neither lived up to my order nor my expectations.

Great food, nice and fast service

We were there at lunchtime. The food is highly recommended. Fresh vegetables, well-seasoned, and the service was very friendly. Also importantly, the restrooms were very clean.

Well, I think they make the tastiest noodle soup I know. The staff is always nice to me too. On the whole, everyone who has ever been there likes to go there.

Easily accessible location with a beautiful view. The atmosphere is very cozy and you are quickly served with good food by the staff. The prices are not expensive in my opinion.

Good food, unfortunately absolutely overpriced. Nice staff and good quality, but the price is not justified.

Very rude staff.. one had asked for a change to the order and this was constantly refused. You tried to communicate but only got the feeling that you didn't want to be understood. After a 15 minute conversation nothing was ultimately changed. The whole thing was nothing more than a waste of time!!! In the future we could concentrate more on the customers.

Super tasty and fresh food, portions are generous. I usually get stomach/intestinal problems from Asian food, but not at all here. So great quality. The employees are very friendly and attentive. The ambience is really ok for a fast food restaurant and is lovingly designed and clean.

The food was extremely tasty and the service was also good. There is still a lot of room for improvement in terms of ambience. Drink crates are piled up in the corner, cobwebs hang from the ceiling and the front door makes terrible noises.

Eat here at least once a week or order an Uber. Always very tasty food, highly recommended 😋👍

Once again we had an excellent meal. The friendly welcome, the large selection of dishes and the quality of the food - as always very good. A visit is worthwhile for fans of good Asian cuisine. And as a starter, as always, the number C3.... 😉🍺

It's not very comfortable now, but we go out to eat or pick up regularly. It tastes good, the ingredients look fresh and it's cheap too... great However, the menus are very sticky.

The coconut milk soup and sushi were fresh and delicious. The service could have been a bit more attentive.

I ordered through uber eats and the red curry was bombastic! Super rich in taste, still warm and fresh. Unfortunately, the sushi was inedible. Neither the fried roll nor the inside out roll was tasty. In the end I had to throw it away. Shame about the money. But I will definitely try other products!

Very long waiting time, unprofessional service – not recommended. Unfortunately my experience with this service was very disappointing. The waiting times were extremely long and the professionalism of the staff left a lot to be desired. I would not recommend this service to others.

The portion was only half of what I know from you and I found that disappointing for €12, a total shame... I was advertised as having large vegan portions, where are they?!

We have eaten there many times or had food delivered to us and have now been satisfied. The food tastes really good, is fresh and the portions are always very large. Very unassuming from the outside, but really a good restaurant.

I had dinner there with the family and wasn't impressed. I was missing something in the lemonade, the sushi tasted burnt and the noodles weren't fried properly. Also, the fried chicken was too fluffy. I thought it was a shame because I was really looking forward to the food.. Nevertheless, the staff was really nice and the food came quickly.

I got a noodle box with shrimp. It tasted really good until I realized that there were only three small shrimps in it. If I'm going to pay more for shrimp than other ingredients, then I expect a reasonable number and not a measly three pieces.

We had soup as starters. The main courses are 320 (Peanut Duck Kross) and 42 (Bo Luc Lac) as the main menu. Ambience and service were good. Well visited. The presentation of the dishes was ok. It just lacked a bit of special flavor and spices.

We come here regularly and really enjoy eating here. I love the pho there and, at my request, I get extra sprouts added (which I think belong in there too). The children always eat sushi and are happy! The service is always very, very polite and accommodating. We'd love to come back again.

You pay a lot more in other restaurants and don't get nearly as tasty food.

The food is fantastic. Everything is freshly prepared. The starter was delivered quickly, nice and hot and visually well presented. The main course was sushi, which was freshly prepared especially for us. The homemade iced teas and juices also tasted good. All in all, high-quality food was processed, which is why I give the food 5 stars. The star deduction is actually due to the ambience and service. We were served very friendly, but the employees seemed a bit "helpless" or unprofessional to us. There is certainly still room for improvement here. In terms of ambience, it's actually not a place to go for a fancy meal or that I would choose if I'm in the mood for a night out or want to treat myself. The reason is that it feels a bit like a snack bar, which just doesn't do justice to the good food. The tables are really very close together. Some guests who had to go to the toilet squeezed past me. The beverage crates are stacked in the store, which seems rather uncomfortable. Unfortunately there was always a bit of a drag as the shop is quite small and the door is directly in the guest area. Nevertheless, I would get something to eat here again because it was really good.

I've walked past the restaurant several times without any real interest. But we had a spontaneous meal there yesterday and I/we were very positively surprised. Everything we had (different soups, different types of sushi) was very tasty, nothing to complain about, everything was freshly prepared for you. You can argue about the furnishings, ambience and decoration, but that's not really important to us. Same thing about the prices of the food, I mean everyone has to earn their money, so what you have to pay is completely okay. But especially since it is really traditional Vietnamese food, people like to do it. It certainly wasn't the last time we ate there.

I always like to eat there during my lunch break. Even sometimes in the evenings with my wife. It's always delicious and all the ingredients are fresh. Price performance comparison is also unbeatable. Now new on the menu is vegan duck. This is an absolute blast! For all vegetarian vegans, you have to try this one.

Delivery for garbage. Waited 2 hours for 80 euros ordered and the most expensive one is not delivered. In the call, the subsequent delivery should take another 40 minutes. thanks for nothing

Finally something other than a kebab shop. The food is freshly cooked and you can taste it. Staff is very nice. We have eaten here several times or pre-ordered and taken home. My favorite dish is Pho Bo or Pho Ga.

Today on January 17th, 2024 we ate there again because we always enjoyed it here. But not anymore. Today we had crispy sweet and sour chicken. There were just canned vegetables in the sweet and sour sauce (Peas and carrots) Service, didn't feel like working either. We don't go here anymore, it's also become unclean.

Leckeres vietnamesisches Essen Der Service war zügig und freundlich Die Wan Tan Vorspeise war etwas trocken, von daher nicht zu empfehlen. Die Hauptspeisen alle top. Besonders die Ente ist sehr zu empfehlen (s. Bild)

Schönes Ambiente, leider waren die Glasnudeln verkocht und das Gericht war insgesamt sehr ölig.

Essen war teilweise gut. Die Suppe lecker aber der Hauptgang hat echt nach fast nix geschmeckt. Es fehlte echt an allem. Keine Würze nix. Anrichteweise war super. Sah besser aus als es geschmeckt hat.

Die 6 bestellten Essen waren alle sehr lecker - jederzeit wieder. Leider mussten wir jedoch über 1 Stunde auf unseren Hauptgang warten.Begründet wurde es mit einem Personalmangel kurz vor Silvester. Trotzdem ein sehr nettes Personal - wir kommen gern wieder.

Ich liebe den Laden eigentlich, allerdings habe ich heute die karte bekommen habe mir mein essen ausgesucht, bis dann der Kellner kam und mir erst beim bestellen sagt, dass es kein Sushi gibt. Meiner Meinung nach hätte man dies direkt mitteilen können und nicht erst essen aussuchen lassen. Bin dann gegangen….

Sicherlich kein schöner Ort zum Essen aber dafür lecker und Sushi immer frisch sogar frisiert. Nudelbox auf die Hand immer lecker.

Gemütlich ist es je nach Sitzplatz, mehr, oder weniger. Der Service ist einfach, aber das Essen war bisher immer gut. Leider macht das in der Summe nur 3 Sterne, gebe aber 4, weil das Essen höher zu bewerten ist. Man muss halt wissen was man erwartet.

Essen, Anbiente und Service top. Das Essen ist sehr frisch und schmeckt. 100 % Weiterempfehlung. Ich werde noch öfter kommen.

Zu Beginn machte das Lokal einen sehr guten Eindruck. Dann sah man des Öfteren gestapelt Leergutkisten und dahinter der Zugang zu den Toiletten deren Zustand im Sinne von Ordnung und Sauberkeit zu wünschen ließen. Wieder zurück zum Anfang und alles wird gut!

Essen, geschmacklich, ok. Wir haben das Essen nur abgeholt weil wir keine Zeit hatten. Bestellung ging zügig, zu zügig, und die Bedienung wahr sehr nett. Es wurde alles schnell zubereitet und auf meine Frage hin ob alles schon fertig und eingepackt ist kam die Antwort "Ja ja, alles drin". Zu Hause angekommen mussten wir feststellen dass ein Gericht nicht dabei war. Gebe trotzdem 3 Sterne weil das Essen in Ordnung war. Wir fanden aber dass es nichts besonderes war.

Ich besuchte dieses Sushi Restaurant mit 3,5/5 Sternen und wurde von einem guten Service beeindruckt. Das Personal war freundlich und aufmerksam, was meinen Besuch angenehm gestaltete. Das Essen war in Ordnung, aber es gab Raum für Verbesserungen in Bezug auf Geschmack und Präsentation. Das ruhige Ambiente trug zur entspannten Atmosphäre bei. Insgesamt eine durchschnittliche Erfahrung, die durch den guten Service aufgewertet wurde.

Nett eingerichtetes vietnam. Restaurant, mit Mittagstischkarte und extra Sushikarte. Wir hatten sehr leckeres veganes Sushi, wirklich toll gemacht und sehr lecker. Auch den Glasnudelsalat können wir weiterempfehlen. Sehr netter, freundlicher Service. Preisleistung absolut gut. Wir kommen sehr gerne wieder.
