We waited 1.5 hours for our food. They claimed they couldn't make sushi because they were out of rice, even though other guests had sushi. The staff seemed completely overwhelmed. What a shame.

It was very crowded; we had a reservation for 6:30 pm. After we ordered, the server came and informed us that they had run out of rice for sushi. We had come specifically for sushi and were understandably speechless. The replacement meal was okay, but nothing special, and it didn't include all the ingredients listed on the menu.

The food was great and arrived quickly. The atmosphere was also perfectly fine. I'd gladly come again :-)

Food was very tasty and great price for the portions

This was our first time at the Sai Gon Palace Restaurant, and it was absolutely worth it! The food was truly delicious, freshly prepared, and beautifully presented. The service was super friendly and attentive; you feel truly welcome as a guest. The ambiance is also very cozy—modern, yet warm and inviting. We felt completely at home and will definitely be back soon. A definite recommendation for anyone who loves good Asian food and a relaxed atmosphere!

The price-performance ratio was okay. But I would eat somewhere else next time I feel like Chinese food.

Yesterday, after what felt like 15 years, we went to the so-called "Fass" in Halle-Ammendorf for dinner. A friend recommended his really good food here, and he loved it! We can now highly recommend the restaurant ourselves. The price-performance ratio gets a perfect rating, so 5 stars here. We want to eat here again in the next few days. Try it out for yourself. It's not easy to find, so it's better to use a navigation system. The parking lot is right in front. We naturally sat outside in the pavilion on a summer night. The children's playground provides distraction for the little ones 👍 I'm sure the delivery service is of the same standard. We'll test it and report back. We'd like to take this opportunity to thank the SaiGonPalace team. Keep up the good work 👏 Tip from us: Light background music from the Far East might be a good idea. 08/2025: We've now also tested the lunch delivery service for 6 people. We ordered via the app, which worked really well. Delivery was 5 minutes early, so absolutely fantastic! The food was once again very good. 👍 We can therefore also recommend the delivery service. The restaurant truly deserves its 5 stars.

Very tasty and great service we will be back

The old review is no longer accurate; the food and service have improved significantly, so you can go there if you're hungry for some good Asian food. Old review: The starters were excellent. But the main courses didn't match what was advertised on the menu. One came with a sweet curry sauce, even though it shouldn't have curry in it. They also served rice instead of the fried noodles we ordered. The second dish was Thai duck, which should have been very spicy. It didn't taste like Thailand at all; it lacked all the spices. It tasted like something from a German snack bar. The bill, however, included several items that we had neither seen nor ordered. The total was significantly more expensive. After the correction, the waitress complained that there was no tip. What did she expect? Unfortunately, the menu is no more than what you'd get at a snack bar.

There's great seating inside and outside. The food is delicious and plentiful. The vegetables are all fresh and crisp. Excellent value for money. There's a playground. Service is very friendly and fast.

The food at the Saigon Palace was delicious, and the ambiance is also beautifully designed. A particularly useful feature was the playground, which kept the children entertained. There were a few minor issues, however: The staff, although friendly, barely spoke German, making communication a bit difficult. We were also not informed that debit card payments were currently unavailable. Unfortunately, this meant I had to walk to the nearby bank to get cash. Before the reopening, card payments were possible, so we would have appreciated a notice here. Overall, though, a lovely restaurant with good food – we'll definitely be back once these aspects are improved.

I was extremely pleasantly surprised. As someone who doesn't particularly like Asian food and is usually just dragged along and therefore very picky about Asian food, I have to say that I'm very satisfied with the menu. A nice, large selection of dishes from many different national dishes, from Japanese to Korean and Chinese, means there's something for everyone. Sushi, Pho, BBQ, salads, gyoza, and much more... Add to that the extremely friendly service and great atmosphere; everything is a real eye-catcher. Also worth mentioning are the extremely clean restrooms. Also, the prices are extremely fair, with really large portions. As someone who normally eats a lot, I was more than satisfied. Clear recommendation 👍🏻

We recently received a flyer and were thrilled that this restaurant had reopened. We ate there today, and it was delicious. The wait was pleasant and not too long. It was beautifully presented with lots of love. The staff was very friendly and even asked if everything was okay. The price/performance ratio was also very good. Everything was very well maintained, even the restrooms were very clean and well-maintained. All in all, very good; we would gladly come back.

Today, for Women's Day, we (two people) suddenly decided to go out for dinner and were seated straight away on Friday evening, even without a reservation; around 30% of the seats in the restaurant were occupied. The order was taken quickly, we then had to wait 45 minutes for the food and the starter (mini spring rolls) was forgotten. The meal itself was a big disappointment, the crispy duck with hoisin sauce was crispy but very dry and without any sauce, next to the rice ball there was a loveless pile of half-wilted arugula that you couldn't push aside because of the shape of the bowl, overall The food was not very seasoned. The second meal, fried chicken with vegetables, pineapple and sweet and sour sauce, was even worse, the sauce was just a bit sour and otherwise tasteless, very little pineapple, the vegetables consisted of a lot of peas, some carrot and bamboo strips, it made the impression like from the discounter freezer. The chicken tasted good, but there was quite a bit. This bowl was also garnished with a pile of arugula. There was no cruet on the table for seasoning. The spring rolls that we asked for again were then brought and were hot and crispy. The prices had understandably increased compared to our last visit about two years ago, which would be perfectly fine given the quality. After today's visit, we can no longer recommend this restaurant.

We reserved online and it worked great. The staff was very friendly and quick. Very tasty food and really a lot. Whatever is left is packed up. The drinking straws made from rice are spectacular. A great idea. We'd love to come back.

The ambience was beautifully designed, the staff was friendly but rude, my friend gave a tip and the waiter simply "demanded" more tip. Food was okay so far. Despite everything, we won't visit this restaurant again.

Very nice, clean and comfy restaurant, with beautiful inside and outside seating. Lots of inviting greenery in the outside area. Almost all seats offer good protection from the sun. The food is neither particularly cheap nir excessively expensive ... prices just about fall in the average range. I was here with 2 other people, personally I was pleased with taste and serving size of my food, as was 1 of the 2 people I came here with. The other one was slightly disappointed; though I have to point out from experience that they have perhaps unrealistically high standards that almost no restaurant can meet consistently. The service was friendly and attentive, though I thought it a bit strange that 1 guest's request to swap out their side order with something else (noodles instead of rice) was rejected. Well, not straight up rejected, but that would have cost extra.

Zum familienessen hier gewesen. Besonders zu empfehlen sind die wan tan. Wir saßen draußen und unser Kind nutzte den Spielplatz. Dieser ist ganz schön in die Jahre gekommen und bräuchte etwas Pflege. Das restliche Essen war auch schmackhaft, allerdings ist es ungünstig serviert in tiefen Schalen, die recht hoch sind im Verhältnis zu Tisch und Stuhl. Soll heißen man hängt mit dem Kopf direkt über der Schüssel. Die Kellnerin war freundlich und hat sich alle Bestellungen im Kopf behalten bei einer 10 köpfigen Runde.

Der Erste Eindruck war ziemlich schön die Innenausstattung wie der kleine Brunnen im Außenbereich und ein kleiner Spielplatz. Die Essensauswahl war vielversprechend die Frühlingsrollen waren lecker aber das Fleisch wie die Pommes waren Schleimig die Nudeln und Salat waren zwar in Öl getränkt aber Trocken der Reis war Matschig. Und das Ganze obwohl wir über eine Stunde auf unser Essen warten mussten (nette Bedienung). 2/5 Personen war schlecht 3/5 haben nicht aufessen können 110€ Ein echter Reinfall

Wir waren mit Freunden dort und wir sind voll des Lobes. Die Bedienung sehr freundlich, konnte sich die Bestellung sofort merken und umsetzen. Das Essen hat super geschmeckt.... Wir saßen im Biergarten, dort war es sehr gepflegt, wir kommen mit Sicherheit wieder

Vorab: Wir haben im Restaurantgarten gespeist. Den Innenbereich und die Sanitäranlagen kann ich daher überhaupt nicht bewerten. Der überdachte Aussenbereich ist auf jeden Fall gemütlich mit Teich eingerichtet und lädt zum verweilen ein. Ruhige Lage, da Sackgasse. Direkt am Elsterradweg gelegen, verwundert es doch ein bisschen, dass der Inhaber sein großes SUV direkt vor den Eingang parkt und man Probleme hat, mit dem Fahrrad zu den Stellplätzen zu gelangen. Der eigentliche Parkplatz ist doch groß genug… Zur Qualität der Gerichte: Ich wollte eigentlich gebackenen Fisch mit Curry und Kokosmilch bestellen. Erst bei der Bestellung wurde uns erklärt, dass Fisch überhaupt nicht zur Verfügung steht. Schade. Wir hatten dann einmal gebackenes Hühnerfleisch mit Curry und Kokosmilch und einmal thailändisch gebratenes Hühnerfleisch mit gelben Curry und Kokosmilch. Nun ja, was soll ich sagen: Beide Gerichte unterschieden sich geschmacklich nicht wirklich und hatten beide überhaupt keinen Kokosgeschmack. Fleisch, Reis und Gemüse waren allerdings top. Auf Nachfrage wurde uns erklärt, dass die Stammgäste dieses Gericht lieber cremiger aber mit weniger Kokosgeschmack haben. Daher die ungewöhnliche Zusammensetzung. Da bin ich doch etwas verwundert, da es ja für alle, die kein Kokos mögen, viele Alternativen auf der Speisekarte gibt. Geschmacklich für uns also enttäuschend, Qualität der Gerichte aber gut. Guten Appetit!

Sehr gutes und reichliches Essen

Platziert wurden wir sofort danach hat es eine Weile gedauert bis jemand kam um Bestellung aufzunehmen. Essen hat gut geschmeckt bloß die Ente war ziemlich fest.

Wir gehen hier seit vielen Jahren essen. Und das Essen und der Service sind immer gleichbleibend gut. Das Personal ist freundlich und zuvorkommend. Es gibt an verschiedenen Tagen Angebote und Rabatte. Im Sommer kann man in den Garten sitzen und die frische Luft beim Essen genießen. Die Toiletten und Waschräume sind alle erst vor kurzem Renoviert wurden so das man sich sehr wohl fühlt. Und seitdem es auch noch Sushi auf der Karte gibt testen wir uns auch durch die Karte. Es ist sehr zu empfehlen für alle die gerne Asiatisch Essen. Nachtrag 2022 endlich wieder geöffnet und das Essen ist lecker wie immer.

Das Saigon Palace Restaurant 🍴 ist in einem nach gebauten Faß. Innen ist alles sehr vietnamesisch 🇻🇳 thailändisch eingerichtet. Recht hübsch anzusehen sind die vielen Girlanden. Es gibt kleine nischen in denen meist vierer Tische stehen. Man hat den Eindruck eines Séparée in welchem man recht ungestört ist. Es gibt eine kleine aber feine Speicherkarte mit vietnamesischen und thailändischen Gerichten. Das Essen 🌯 ist recht gut und reichlich. Leider standen bei unserem Besuch nicht alle Gerichte zur Verfügung, was sehr schade war. Auch war eine Kartenzahlung nicht möglich 🙆. Das Personal ist super 👍 freundlich, sehr nett, hilfsbereit und zuvor kommend. Besuch lohnt sich 👍 ⭐ ⭐ ⭐ ⭐

Freundliche Bedingungen, Preise okay.

Wir waren schon oft hier, aber heute waren wir nach mehreren Jahren( z. T. auch Corona-bedingt) wieder hier zu Gast. Es wurden ein paar kleine Veränderungen vorgenommen unter anderem auch das Geschirr und die typische Servierform in asiatischen Restaurants wurde abgeschafft, das wirkt etwas gehobener. Die Qualität der Speisen ist nach wie vor gut und typisch für asiatische Küche. Der Service stimmt und das Personal ist gewohnt freundlich. Vielen Dank- wir kommen wieder. 👍🏻

Kurzentschlossen eingekehrt, mit Hund,, wir wurden freundlich empfangen. Das Essen war sehr lecker, wir waren rundum zufrieden. Wir waren nicht zum letzten Mal da.

Essen im Vergleich zu anderen Lokalen relativ teuer und oft eine Überraschungstüte was die Beilagen an geht. Geschmacklich waren wir auch enttäuscht. Ein falsch serviertes Essen (sollte an den Nachbartisch gehen) wurde trotz Anmerkung nicht wieder mit genommen und berechnet. Apropos Rechnung, diese haben wir nicht erhalten und auf Nachfrage einen Schmierzettel bekommen. Kartenzahlung selbstverständlich auch nicht möglich. (Ein Schelm wer Böses denkt) Für die Getränke gibt es den 2. Stern. Wir werden nicht wieder kommen und empfehlen es auch niemandem!

Die Bedienung war freundlich, allerdings kam sie nicht wieder an unseren Tisch um z.B. Getränke nachzubestellen. Das Essen hat leider nicht unseren Geschmack getroffen.

Waren heute seit längerer Zeit mal wieder hier zum Essen...Man sitzt wie immer bequem mit angenehmer Musik im Hintergrund. Getränke kamen schnell und auch aufs Essen mußten wir nicht lange warten. Wir bestellten zwei verschiedene Gerichte "Ente knusprig", mit knackigem Gemüse und dazu eine Kugel Reis. Es sind ausreichende Portionen und an sich schmackhaft, wenn da nicht die neue Anrichteweise in tiefen Tellern wäre, unten Gemüse und Soße , oben Ente und Reis. Leider ist alles was knusprig war in dieser Soße ertrunken, weil man Gemüse nach oben holt und die Ente beim Schneiden in den Sud hineindrückt. Es sieht dann auch nicht mehr appetitlich aus. Das Auge isst mit... Ob es uns geschmeckt hat, wurden wir diesmal leider nicht gefragt. Wir waren zum Probeessen für eine Familienfeier unterwegs und nehmen nun davon Abstand. Die 5 Sterne meiner letzten Rezension sind leider nicht mehr erreichbar.

Sehr große Portionen und leckeres Essen in schönem Ambiente. Bedienung war sehr freundlich. Einzig die auf Tripadvisor angegebene Preisklasse würde ich anheben, da ein Hauptgericht schon 14-17 Euro kostet.

Tolles gemütliches Restaurant in entspannter Atmosphäre. Wir sind öfters im Saigon essen und das Personal ist jedes mal freundlich und zuvorkommend. Nur die Portionen könnten etwas kleiner sein 😅

Wir waren sehr oft in diesem Restaurant,aber nach den Renovierungsarbeiten und dem öfteren Perosnalwechsel,läßt die Bedienung,das Preis/Leistungsverhältnis sehr zu wünschen übrig.Seit einigen Wochen gibt es bei der Bezahlung auch keinen Kassenbon mehr.Bei den Entengerichten ist kaum etwas von Fleisch zusehen,man könnte denken es ist paniertes Entenklein,was einem da für teures Geld vorgesetzt wird.Allein für die Bestellung als "knusprig", bei den Menügerichten,wird seit kurzen auch noch zusätzlich 1€ Aufschlag verlangt,für gebratene Nudeln als Beilage satte 2,50!!!Üblich eigentlich 1€ in vergleichbaren Ambiente.

Als Geheimtipp empfohlen bekommen, haben wir uns gespannt hier zum Abendessen eingefunden. In einem idyllischen Biergarten fanden wir schnell einen Platz. Nach einer Weile kam ein unfreundlicher Kellner und brachte uns die Speisekarten. Unsere Frage nach einer Empfehlung beantwortete er mit „alles gut!“. Es ist eine sehr umfangreiche Karte, was immer Rückschlüsse auf die Frische der Zutaten zulässt... Als wir uns entschieden haben, fragten wir den Kellner, ob wir eines der Gerichte mit Koriander bekommen können. Seine Antwort „gibt kein Koriander!“. Das Essen war nichts besonderes, aber auch nicht schlecht, es ist preiswert, und das Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis stimmt. Alles in allem gibt es in Halle wesentlich bessere Alternativen, wenn man asiatisches Essen mag.

Das Restaurant liegt etwas versteckt am halleschen Stadtrand in Ammendorf und ist daher sicher nicht so bekannt. Wir kommen gern mit Freunden für einen gemütlichen Abend her. Das Essen ist lecker und frisch und die Preise wirklich günstig. Im Sommer läd der Biergarten zum Essen im Freien ein. Wirklich einen Besuch wert :-)

We went there by accident. The resistant has a nice beer garden with typical Chinese/vietnamese design (cheap plastic tables, some of them not very comfortable, concrete pond in the middle, Lisa a little improvised). We had one seafood and two duck dishes. The seafood was ok but not great, the two duck dishes tasted interesting, not the typical "Chinese in Germany" food, which we don't like. Both duck dishes had distinct and tasteful flavors and were prepared fine. The price was very decent. We would go there again if in the area but wouldn't go to the area just for the restaurant. In my opinion it's a good choice in the area if you like a little unconventional Chinese food and atmosphere.

Spontane Entscheidung zum Fass-Besuch und noch mehr gefreut, dass es im Saigon Palace vietnamesisches und thailändische Speisen gibt. Das Restaurant ist toll eingerichtet, Wohlfühlatmosphäre. Auch das Essen hat uns überzeugt. Lecker und sehr große Portionen. Wir haben scharf bestellt und waren richtig scharf auf unser Essen geworden! :-)
