Saigon Bistro in Chemnitz

I had a chance to travel to Chemniz, I stopped by Saigon Bistro and enjoyed it. I ordered some food to enjoy, the food was very suitable for my taste, fresh food. Everything was very good to me.

Incredibly bad food! I wanted to have lunch. Since I was alone in the restaurant alongside the waitress (owner?), my fried rice with duck (7.50) arrived after just 2-3 minutes. That went quickly. That's why the 2 points in service. Unfortunately, pure disappointment came when the steam from the food hit my nose. Kind of like a lazy mop. Still, I tried it and it tasted anywhere from nothing to slightly sour to mop. ... ... the rice with sprouts was nothing, the 2-minute duck meat was half cold and slightly sour. This sounds trite, but I've never (tried) to eat so badly. 🤢 When it comes to the ambience, I can say that it is probably the point with the most potential here and that you could do something visually with the store if you removed all the cobwebs between, for example, the chair legs and the other (movable!) things like dish trolleys, etc . You could also clean the window panes when there are few customers (as I said, I was the only guest, before and after...). You can also wipe the tables. Then you don't get stuck straight away when you sit down. But there probably hasn't been time to do that in the last few weeks...

Unfortunately, I was cheekily told that there was no toilet even though I could clearly see it from the counter. The waitress probably just didn't understand a word.

Unfortunately the food only tasted like Maggi. The price of €10 was clearly too high for a ready meal. A look behind the counter revealed dirt and chaos. Definitely no one will set foot in here again.

I don't understand the negative comments. I've been a regular there since it opened. As a customer, it's great when you get a free drink when you spend a certain amount. It's a bit of a shame that it's been abolished, but there's no reason to make a fuss about it. If there's something wrong with the food, just bring it back. The owner is very understanding, and no restaurateur would want to serve a customer bad food, as it would seriously jeopardize their existence. The fact that prices have increased is something you'll probably find in every restaurant or snack bar. But the quality of the food is and remains excellent.

I used to love the SaigonBistro, but what initially bothered me was the arbitrary opening times, as they keep changing when the SaigonBistro closes. There was also a 1l soft drink for free with an order for €18, which has been completely abolished. The prices for fried noodles or fried rice with crispy duck are also exorbitant, it used to be €6.50, now they charge €10 for it, I would still be willing to pay €7.50 but not €10 and their Thai curry is only available without crispy duck, so it doesn't make sense to order this because crispy duck is always part of the Thai curry, which I get from another Asian restaurant for €8.50. As you can see, I'm not happy with SaigonBistro at the moment, even though the food has always been tasty.

The food wasn't bad at all. But if you go to get some pasta one day thinking that it tastes good and has been prepared properly, and then you find out at home that a very large fly has landed in the food, that's just your last visit!!!

We ordered lunch through the company. The delivery via Lieferando worked wonderfully, the food was very tasty. But when it came to issuing a proper invoice with sales tax, the fuss started. When I called I was told that Lieferando does that (but as described there, only the restaurant does that). So I went there in person to get an invoice. The woman at the counter wasn't particularly friendly and was reluctant to give me a receipt. Wrong day of course because I wasn't there on the same day. Backdating was apparently not possible. And apparently the restaurant now pays sales tax twice (?). Last but not least, I wasn't allowed to take the Lieferando receipt with me again. If you order privately, you can get good food here for a good price. If you want to order for business, it's better to do so somewhere else. Sorry, but this way doesn't work at all. Restaurants are legally obliged to issue an invoice. Who knows what “falls under the table”...

Essen bestellt, nach Halbe Stunde Wartezeit, erhält man von lieferando die Nachricht, dass das Restaurant die Bestellung storniert. Nach einem Anruf im Restaurant heißt es dann ohne Entschuldigung, wir fahren nicht zu ihrer Adresss, es sei zu weit. Obwohl es vorher bei der Bestellung und Online Bezahlung kein Problem war. Schlechter Service. Wenn ihr nicht liefern wollt, dann nimmt Euch als Lieferservice raus!!!

Total unfreundlich, und das Hähnchen ist eindeutig zu wenig und nicht richtig fertig

Sehr Leckeres Essen. Pünktliche Lieferzeit Und netter Lieferant. Kann ich nur weiterempfehlen. Wir werden da Jetzt öfters essen 👍

Es hat sehr gut geschmeckt. Die Portionsgröße und Essensqualität waren dem Preis entsprechend. Die Bedienung war exzellent. Ich würde wieder hingehen wenn ich keine lust habe zum Kochen.

Der Wein war unterirdisch. Alt, sauer. Tetrapack? Mein Essen hat mir geschmeckt. Nur gebe drei Sterne. Meine Frau war enttäuschend. Viel Glutamat?

Das Essen kam pünktlich, die Portionen waren groß, alles war frisch und lecker. Es gab sogar eine große Flasche Sprite gratis dazu.

Eigentlich schmeckt es hier wirklich gut aber bei meinem Besuch am 1.4.21 war ich total entsetzt. Es gab nur noch gebratene Nudeln, die Fleischstücke konnte man an einer Hand abzählen von dem Gemüse mal ganz zu schweigen. Und wenn ich schon dabei bin die Frau geht garnicht egal wenn man was holen will sie ist stets schlecht gelaunt und es scheint als wäre jeder Kunde einer zuviel:: mal ein Tip ihr verdient mit uns Kunden euer täglich Brot!!!!

Viel gutes Essen mit einer ordentlichen Portion von frischem Gemüse. Und das zu einem kleinen, fairen Preis. Daumen hoch.

Wir Essen öfters zu Mittag dort, Essen lecker und Preise absolut erschwinglich, ein romantisches Dinner würde ich dort nicht abhalten
