The food from the lunch menu was delicious, plentiful, perfectly seasoned, and offered a pleasingly good selection of vegetarian dishes. With the main course, you could choose between salad or soup at lunchtime. I had the lentil soup; it had a very good, satisfying flavor. Overall, it was excellent value for money. The service was very pleasant, friendly, communicative, and attentive. What I didn't like quite as much was the entrance area. A few minor changes could certainly improve the space.

It tasted very good. Many vegan options. Delivery was lightning fast; when I had questions about the vegan food, they called to confirm – simply excellent.

A renovation would be beneficial here 🤔 The toilets could also use an overhaul and daily cleaning... The food was very good... 👍

I've been to Sagar in Geldern a few times now, and I have to say: If you like Indian food, this is the place for you. The dishes are super aromatic, freshly prepared, and truly authentic. Whether it's butter chicken, a good curry, or something veggie-oriented – everything tastes great here. I especially recommend the Chole Bhatura: truly spicy chickpeas with freshly baked bhatura – a dream and absolutely filling. The portions are generally generous, so you'll definitely go home full and satisfied. The service is incredibly friendly and attentive. You can tell that the people here put their heart and soul into their food and that it's important to them that their guests feel comfortable. The ambiance is uncomplicated, rather simple, but cozy. It's less about the fuss here, but really about the food – and that's absolutely top-notch. The prices are also fair, especially considering what you get for that. In conclusion: If you're looking for truly delicious Indian food in a relaxed atmosphere, you should definitely try Sagar. And be sure to try the Chole Bhatura – it's addictive! 🙌

Brother, I'll tell you how it is: This mango lassi wasn't a drink, it was an assault on my taste buds. 🥭💀 More like never-again mango lassi. And while I was about to sip it, the Microwave Symphony in D minor played continuously in the background: ding-ding, clap-clap, shab-shab. I swear, at one point I thought an astronaut in full costume was about to emerge from the kitchen. 🚀📡 Service? None. The place was empty, like my hope after the third "ding." If I wanted to eat, I would have made noodles with ketchup at home. The food itself? Yeah, edible. Not catastrophic, not divine, just kind of "meh." Like when you pick a movie on Netflix and after 20 minutes think, "Why am I watching this?" 🤷‍♂️ All in all: If you're into food experiments with a sci-fi microwave atmosphere, treat yourself. Otherwise, head to the Späti, where at least they have authentic mango juice cartons without the trauma. Scurr scurr, burr burr, no more mango massacres. ✌️🔥

We ate here today. We ordered a platter for two people for €45.50. The value for money here is absolutely terrible. There were two meat dishes and two vegetable dishes. The whole thing came in tiny bowls. In total, we had a maximum of five pieces of meat (chicken and beef), and the beef tasted like soup meat. The vegetables consisted of chickpeas and black beans. The taste was more or less the same in all the bowls. The best thing was the pappadam with the dips before the meal. We've been to India several times and enjoy Indian food, but this really wasn't worth the price and the hour-long wait.

As soon as you walk in, you notice that a lot has changed: The ambiance is now much more well-kept, modern, and, above all, significantly cleaner than before. Unfortunately, this wasn't the case under the previous owners. Back then, the restaurant was often dirty and messy, and for a long time, we didn't feel comfortable and didn't like going there. It's all the more wonderful to see how positively everything has developed! The food was excellent – ​​fresh, aromatically seasoned, and authentic. You can tell the passion that goes into the cooking here. The curries and freshly baked naan were particularly delicious – simply a delight! The presentation of the dishes was also very appealing. The restaurant's prices are absolutely fair for the quality you get. The wait times were short, and the staff were always friendly and helpful. Animal suffering is bad enough, but throwing animal products in the trash just because an order wasn't taken correctly is unnecessary and disrespectful. It shows a lack of awareness and care when dealing with guests' needs. Anyone who offers vegan dishes should make sure that they are really vegan. Such a mistake is not only annoying, but also disappointing - especially for people who have chosen a plant-based diet for ethical reasons. I hope the restaurant places more emphasis on accuracy in the future, because anyone who eats here should be able to trust that orders are taken seriously.

The food was super delicious!!! Highly recommended. Unfortunately, the portions are very, very small, much too small. Even my 7 year old son couldn't get enough. The main side dish in his meal (which was actually intended for adults) was just 7 small potato wedges. At a price of 10-15€ per meal it's just not okay. In the past, the previous owners always automatically served Nan bread with various dips. Unfortunately not anymore. Very friendly staff. Unfortunately the rooms are not heated. We were very cold.

When you walk in you immediately think of Bollywood :-). Lots of kitsch on the walls and simply furnished. The food came quickly and tasted good. The bread with garlic was great and very fresh. You still have to learn how to tap beer, there is no crown ;-) We liked the warming plates, which hardly any other Indian has. You just need to clean them properly again. All in all it was normal average.

We were really looking forward to the meal, but unfortunately we were disappointed this time. The taste was very tasty, but our Butter Chicken & Tikka Massala consisted almost entirely of sauce. Only a few small pieces of meat and not the usual larger pieces. Unfortunately the naan bread was also tough. Unfortunately the price was not justified at all!! We paid a lot of money and are still hungry :(
