After an extensive motorcycle tour in Poland, we spent a night in Nordhausen! We then ate at this Indian restaurant! The service, the quality of the food, and the selection of dishes were excellent! We felt very comfortable and are more than satisfied! That's why we give it a 5-star rating!

I've been to a lot of Indian restaurants. But this one has the best naan bread and mango lassi. Super friendly service, and the food is delicious. It was perfect. We'd love to come back.

We were here today for the first time, but definitely not the last! The food was truly amazing! Immediately after ordering, a welcome from the kitchen arrived, consisting of crusty bread with three different dips, all of which were delicious. The information about which dip was the hottest was also very important! 😃 Then came a salad, which was very simple but still okay. Only a few arugula leaves were a bit dry, which didn't look very appealing. For starters, we shared the combination of all the starters, which gave us the opportunity to try a lot. Here, too, there were various dips, all of which were delicious, just like the individual dishes. The meat in the main courses was truly outstanding. Very tender, juicy, and extremely flavorful. The meal was a complete success! The service was also very friendly and extremely attentive! Just what you'd want! They regularly asked if we were enjoying our meal and if we needed anything else – truly amazing! The ambiance was also very harmonious. We will definitely come back here, as the price-performance ratio is absolutely top-notch.

It was wonderful all around. I would say it's the best Indian restaurant I've ever eaten at. As soon as we walked in, we were greeted by a wonderful aroma and very warmly. All the dishes were delicious. The service throughout the meal was also friendly and attentive. The mango lassi was a dream. The farewell was also very friendly and attentive. We will definitely be back and can highly recommend this restaurant.

My daughter and I ate here for the first time yesterday. We both enjoyed it very much, the service was warm, friendly and accommodating. The restaurant is particularly recommended for vegetarians and vegans. Large selection of dishes, well seasoned and not too spicy. The price-performance ratio is also right. Everything perfect. Because of the great reviews, we decided to visit the Sadhu restaurant. And I have to say, WOW! Rarely have Indian food been so good. Fresh, crispy naan bread, fantastic tasting sauces, as much rice as you want and really fair prices. The service was extremely friendly and very accommodating. We were able to find a beautiful, sunny spot on the outside terrace. That rounded off our experience in this great restaurant :) If we come back to Nordhausen, we will definitely spend a nice evening here again. Thank you:)

Absolutely friendly, fast service. The food was super tasty and plentiful. There is also plenty of choice for vegans or vegetarians and many dishes are vegan upon request. The homemade iced tea is particularly recommended because it is actually homemade here. Very happy again :)

After ordering online several times, we were there ourselves for the first time yesterday. The food is delicious! There is a large selection of vegetarian and vegan dishes. The entire restaurant was full. We didn't have to wait long for our food. The service was quick and friendly. It won't be our last visit! ✨

I've rarely eaten so well!!! We didn't have a reservation on an early Saturday evening. Nevertheless, we got a nice seat outside; the sun was still shining, and there were even blankets available. The menu selection was plentiful. The food arrived very quickly, everything tasted perfectly, and the portions were a decent size. We were asked several times if we needed more rice or bread. The service was great, and the food was of very good quality. We'll be happy to come back. Thank you very much.🙏🏻

We have now eaten at Sadhu's several times as a couple or on business, sometimes with up to 20 people. Three times in the last 2 weeks alone. Uncomplicated and friendly service, great satisfaction for all of us with the food and the accompanying advice. The flatbread is unusual, but very tasty. We will definitely come back again and again!

Came spontaneously without a reservation and barely managed to get a seat. That's why I would definitely recommend making a reservation in advance. The food is very tasty, the portions are large and really fill you up. Nice staff and good price/performance ratio.

I'm not necessarily a connoisseur of Indian and Pakistani cuisine. But the Sadhu restaurant taught me otherwise. The food was excellent. There was something to nibble on beforehand with three delicious snacks and then the soup and the main course were super tasty. The food was very well seasoned and not too spicy. The soup was plentiful and so was the main course. The prices are very fair and the service is very friendly, quick and competent. I am thrilled with the Sadhu restaurant because everything was perfect. In summer you can also sit outside next to the river. We treated ourselves to the Punjab platter - very tasty. First there was the greeting from the kitchen, one of the dips made from green chili and ginger had a very unusual bitter-spicy note, something completely different. This was followed by pakoras with dips, mangolassi and 3 deliciously seasoned main dishes and fragrant basmati rice. The tea with ginger, fresh mint and lemon is also wonderful. The positive impression was completed by discreet yet very attentive service. It was particularly nice that new plates/cutlery were brought after the starters. At the end there was homemade mango liqueur, which tasted very aromatic. A wonderful evening

Very fast service and also very friendly staff. We were there once for lunch during the week, in the outdoor area and now for dinner in the restaurant. Luckily we booked in advance, otherwise we wouldn't have been able to get seats for six people. Everyone really enjoyed the food and I can recommend it with a clear conscience. This small chain comes from Berlin and probably has three restaurants there too.

The three of us went to Sadhu on a Friday evening and had samosas, chicken curry, butter chicken and chicken korma. Every dish was an absolute highlight: the meat was tender, the sauces creamy and perfectly seasoned - you could taste every single ingredient. The food arrived warm. Although the restaurant was completely full, the friendly team arranged a seat for us without a reservation. The atmosphere was beautiful: stylish ambience, a great selection of music and a noticeable passion for detail. It was our first visit and we were thrilled. The food, the service and the overall atmosphere were great. Sadhu Nordhausen is an absolute must – we will definitely come back!

We ate there for the second time now. For us the food is very tasty and rich. The service is great and was constantly concerned about our well-being. We would love to come back. We're looking forward to the warm season so we can sit outside on the terrace by the water.

We became aware of the restaurant through a flyer about the new opening and beautiful photos of the outdoor terrace and the food online and reserved a table. We were warmly welcomed and served. Since there were two of us, we were placed in the front part of the restaurant, which is not particularly comfortable and the ventilation is quite loud. I ordered a mixed appetizer platter as a main course so I could sample several of the appetizers. Then came a deep plate with completely fried vegetables, of which I could only identify the cauliflower in terms of taste. After three bites, I no longer wanted to eat. The red wine was also very moderate. My companion had ordered a curry, which he was happy with. We won't be coming back.

It was our first time in this restaurant and overall we were quite satisfied. I would like to come back and try more from the menu. 😊👍🏻 I had reserved a table for this evening. The service was friendly. The wait for the food was completely reasonable. The restaurant is pleasantly furnished. There is appropriate music playing in the background, but we didn't find it disturbing. There is also a terrace to relax in when the weather is nice. First of all there was the typical greeting from the kitchen that you know from most Indian restaurants. We enjoyed the three different dips. As a starter we shared the samosas. My friend thought they were exceptionally tasty, I thought they were good, especially with the chutney, it was something different. For the main course we each had a “Thali”. The advantage here is that you get three small bowls of the actual main courses so you can try out what you like. As far as I remember, for me it was lamb in sauce with typical spices, Indian cheese in sauce with curry and chicken in sauce with spinach and garlic. There was definitely good meat and cheese in the small bowls, something I don't know much about in other restaurants. I thought it tasted really good. My friend liked it, but his other combination wasn't spicy enough for him. There was also bread and rice as well as a side salad. My friend also had naan bread with garlic. After dinner there was a mango schnapps on the house.

The flatbread was obviously fried (I only know it from an Indian in a decent stone oven). The batter was also way too thick, so you had the impression you were eating a greasy pancake. The sauce was also very fatty and almost tasteless. You had to actively look for the few pieces of meat. For me it will just be this one attempt. Luckily there are better options in the city.

The selection of food and drinks is optimal. The food and drinks tasted fantastic. The portions were plentiful. I would love to come back. But I have to make a small criticism. If you have fresh plants in front of, in or on the terrace, you should also take care of them. These looked a bit neglected. But that didn't detract from the rest of the stay.
