Truly great. We had our Christmas party there. The people were so friendly, the food was delicious. What more could you want? This is exactly what's good. We'd love to come back.

Best Smash Burger & Fries in Weiden and the region! I stumbled upon Ruff’s Burger in Weiden and was blown away. Their smash burger was juicier and more flavorful than any I’ve had in a very long time. Perfectly seared edges, a soft toasted bun, and just the right amount of melty cheese. The hand-cut fries were crispy on the outside, fluffy inside, and seasoned to perfection. The small, rustic dining room has a relaxed vibe, and the staff were genuinely friendly—checking in just enough without hovering. My burger arrived hot and fresh in under 10 minutes. They also have a great selection of craft sodas and local beers if you want to round out your meal. If you’re in north-eastern Bavaria in the "Oberpfalz" area and craving a top-notch burger joint, Ruff’s is a must-visit. Can’t wait to come back and try their homemade crafted sodas next!

Unfortunately, everything takes a very long time. Today we sat at an outdoor table for over 15 minutes and no one came. There were only two customers outside, and then we went inside, where the waitress stood bored in the corner of the counter. The surprised, friendly greeting and the oversized fingernails that battered the tray didn't make things any better.

The burgers are really excellent. Millions of light years away from the big burger chains. Just damn good food. Service very friendly. You simply have to recommend it. Top!

As promised, my review. I'm happy to give it 5 stars. Reason: the waitress who served us today was simply fantastic. Friendly, nice, competent and on the ball. Simply a 10 out of 10. The lady is committed to her job and enjoys it and you could tell. She also gave us a great tip. So boss... keep this woman. Such staff are gems and hard to find. As for the food... simply delicious. Amazing. We've rarely had such delicious burgers and fries. The day before, we had been to the Therme Erding, where they have a branch. That was our first time, as I'm on holiday here. We were already impressed there, so we went to Weiden today. The food came quickly, was perfectly prepared, juicy, the burger bun was soft and the fries with the sauce were simply delicious. We were all impressed and will be coming again. Thank you very much.

The burger was good but very small. I would have expected something bigger. You're still hungry afterwards. The price-performance ratio doesn't really fit. The salad was also expensive and the portion was very small. Service was good, the lady was very friendly

Super tasty burgers 🍔 and fries🍟! I highly recommend the Mexican Fries 🇲🇽 and the Blue Cheese Cream Burger — absolutely delicious! 😋 The waitresses all speak English fluently and are super friendly. Amina, who took care of us, was super witty and went out of her way to make sure we had everything we needed. I also love how the restaurant switches up the music genre every day — it keeps things exciting, and there’s something for everyone throughout the week. So, every visit feels like a new experience! 😜 All in all, this place is a must-visit in Weiden if you’re looking to have a great time!

Delicious burgers, also vegetarian and vegan and great service! We ordered a burger, which usually has bacon on it. Since we are vegetarians, we substituted the patty and left out the bacon. We were asked if we wanted balsamic onions instead. This is the definition of outstanding service!

We were registered as a group of 12 people. Had to wait 1.5 hours for food. Ribs were strangely out after 45 minutes. On a positive note, we were given 1 bottle of liqueur. Half of the loveless burger was missing. Sauce, balsamic onions, tomatoes etc on each ingredient missing ingredients. To top it all off, there was a hair on the fries and it wasn't hair on the head!! Absolutely disgusting. No compensation for this. We've been there several times, this time for the last time. Too bad

The food is delicious, but the quantity is rather unbalanced in relation to the price. The burgers are comparatively small and the fries have to be paid additionally. The service is not bad in relation to individual employees, but rather bad in personnel planning. The individual waitress had to look after guests, collect cash and also provide drinks. As a result, it took quite a long time for the food to reach the guests (over 1 hour) and other customers had to change their order to to go. In addition, the card reader (EC payment) did not work and the service staff did not inform the guests about this until the time of payment.

We were in town and were craving burgers, so Ruff's Burger was the spot. So glad they actually use fresh ground smashed beef for their burgers. My family of 4 came in for dinner and we were not disappointed. I ordered the avocado burger and added a fried egg with it along with truffle fries. I will admit, while my burger was cooked just right, sadly it definitely needed salt ro make just a little flavorful. Along with the burger, as everyone has already mentioned, the unsalted fries... my saving grace with the fries was the truffle sauce 🤤 it was definitely the highlight of my meal. The moment I finished my sauce though, I stopped eating my fries - though cooked to a crisp perfection as well, it was lacking a little salt. For a drink, I did end up ordering a Lillet Wildberry, which was made just right. My daughter and husband ordered chicken burgers, it both looked good, both were breaded. And then my son got a chicken nugget off the kids menu, they have one! All and all I'd probably come back to try the other food they offer. 😊

We ate very tasty, there are explicitly vegan burgers, but you can also have any burger with a vegan patty. Service friendly and quick, atmosphere pleasant (not too small, not too big, rather rustic furnishings). Prices are also completely reasonable!

We come from further away and were there for dinner on Sunday after sim racing. The service was very nice, we were served quickly and we often asked if everything was okay and if we wanted anything else. For food we had smash burgers, cheeseburgers and BBQ burgers with Belgian fries. Burgers are great, not frozen goods like elsewhere. Food also came very quickly. The next time we are in the area we will definitely come back.

I went in with a hungry belly and left with a smile. The service was warm & welcoming, the atmosphere was super comfortable, and the price was unbeatable. It was so good I went back two nights in a row. Definitely get the truffle mayo with the Belgian fries… soooooooooo good!

Unfortunately, we discovered that the requirements of the voucher book were not adhered to. According to the terms of the voucher, if you order two dishes, one dish including a side dish should be free. However, this was not implemented. In addition, it was noticed that when using the voucher book, there was obviously a saving in quality and quantity: • Only one dip was included with the fries, although two are normally provided. • The meat portion was significantly smaller compared to other guests without a voucher. • The combination of fries, meat, cheese and onions noticeably saved on cheese and meat. The preparation also did not meet expectations: • The meat, which should be medium rare by default, was undercooked, very dry and unseasoned. • The fries were also unsalted, which significantly reduced the enjoyment. • There was no salt and pepper at the table, which made seasoning impossible. Unfortunately, the service was weak, so it was hardly possible to reorder drinks or missing condiments. In addition, the shandy in all three glasses I ordered was heavily diluted with water. Apparently a dark shandy is only served if you order two - which we find extremely rude. The service with the black and red hair, who was very friendly, should be highlighted positively.

The goat cheese caught me off guard at first, but wow—what an upgrade! It was creamy, tangy, and paired perfectly with the rest of the burger's flavors. I don’t know who thought to slap some goat cheese on there, but they deserve a raise and possibly a statue in the kitchen. Overall, Ruff’s is where good food meets great portions. Just don’t wear tight pants. You’ve been warned!

The food is really great. I basically had the entire truffle package. Fries with truffles, burgers with truffles and the mayo also with truffles. What more could you want? I can say that the taste was just perfect. Gladly again

We were there as a bachelorette party. We were given a very warm welcome and the future bride was even allowed to carry out tasks there! Service was super nice! The boss too! Food was very fresh and delicious! And the dessert was absolutely amazing too! I have also ordered to-go twice and it was really great! At home (approx. 15 minutes drive) the food was even lukewarm :)

Disaster... we waited 1.5 hours for the food! There wasn't much going on, there were 5 other tables... The service was incredibly friendly and personable. When we finally got the food we were unfortunately very disappointed... very small portions, the taste was better before and the price was a disgrace for the service.

The burgers taste good and the selection is good, the in-house brioche buns are particularly impressive, and the vegan burgers also taste good! Manki: Staff is overwhelmed/understaffed and not very professional - "you can get chairs there" - "I'll bring you all the nonsense later", to guests who obviously don't know the store yet at nine (three quarters of an hour before the end): "there's only one here Burger, nothing else, that's for sure!" (according to the motto, hopefully they'll go again). After eight o'clock, every guest is told that the shop is closing soon (between the lines: "it would ruin our evening if you stayed now"). A self-service burger shop with a sales counter would be more honest! Otherwise the surroundings distract from the actually quite decent quality of the food. Update after 3 years: I would write the review exactly the same way again: the burgers taste good, are still at the upper end of the price, but "you can do it", especially the buns are convincing! BUT: I unreservedly only recommend collection, the service on site is "just pastures", you do the bare minimum and only when you complain or are about to do so. Hospitality or attention is very far away here.

My best friend, her boyfriend and I went out for burgers at short notice last Friday. The food was very tasty. Each of us had a burger with fries and various dips. To drink we each had a homemade lemonade - also very tasty. First of all, praise to the kitchen! Despite the restaurant being full, the food came quickly. The waitresses were all on the ball and absolutely friendly. The waitress Anastasia was particularly very nice and asked in between how we liked the food or whether we had any requests. With her humorous nature, Anastasia made you feel like you were in good hands in the restaurant and really enjoyed giving tips! We'll definitely come back for dinner!!

As I saw, everything was reserved a bit overrated on Friday at 5 p.m. The fries are good, even though I was hoping for more from the honeymustard sauce. The burger was average, but like most places, the flavor comes from the sauce and not the meat. Unfortunately, crazy eye-catchers weren't represented on the menu either. In terms of price, it's more in the upper middle segment, so it's still okay. In general, I think it's pretty good if you don't have to make a reservation, but there are also good alternatives in the area. If I were in the Weidner pedestrian zone and didn't feel like driving but wanted a burger, why not?

Unfortunately the drink wasn't chilled, the fries were tasty, the burger was mediocre. Reasonable price for it. My wife's burger was still pretty raw. I wouldn't recommend it to anyone and I won't eat there again myself. The service was very friendly and quick, even though it was busy and she was alone. She should get double pay.

The waitress came quickly to clean our table, the drinks arrived quickly, the burger arrived 30 minutes later, everything was going well, I ordered a BBQ burger, the first bite everything was fine... but then it tasted weirder and weirder, in the end I didn't like it. I was able to finish it, the meat was not well cooked, the pickles were very acidic, more than normal, the burger didn't even taste like BBQ, in the end the bread gave me a bad taste, it smelled old. It's a shame that my first time I left with a bad taste in my mouth because of the burger, but the waitress's attention was the only good thing.

A very nice Ruffs in an old pub in Weiden. As always, burgers are very tasty there. We had a great waitress who played their 80s/90s tracks and was just in a really good mood. It was really nice there - thank you very much again!

As always, the food was excellent and special requests for allergies are always taken into account. The service sometimes seems a bit overwhelmed, as there is often only one person there when we are guests. The atmosphere is rustic and casual. The beer garden is nice, but you're sitting right on the main street. Either you need privacy/noise protection or higher hedges. Otherwise really recommended.

This was my second time here. It takes forever for the food to arrive. Approximately 40-50 minutes. In my opinion the hut wasn't full now. The service is super sweet and nice and constantly has to apologize for things that go wrong in the kitchen. Truffle burger ordered with sweet potatoes. I didn't taste any of the truffle on the burger, and the burger was cold and therefore didn't taste good. Sweet potatoes also cold. Same thing at the neighboring table. I don't know exactly what's going wrong in the kitchen and I'm actually someone who rarely gives bad reviews, but here it has to be! I won't be visiting the restaurant for the first time.

The fries were fine, the burger was only lukewarm, but the white wine wasn't cold. 23 euros for that… I had a long moped tour behind me, was tired and hungry. Otherwise I would have left after the first bite. Next time I'd rather have a sandwich from the gas station

I ordered a "normal" burger with a vegetarian patty because the veg. Otherwise the selection wasn't that great. I got that too, with bacon on it. Wow, someone didn't have their brain turned on. But good, luckily I'm not like that, I passed it on and otherwise the burger was really tasty. Limos are m.m.n. very sweet, they are good when diluted with a lot of sparkling water. Service was very good and friendly apart from the bacon faux pas.

I can't understand some of the negative reviews here. The food is absolutely amazing. 👍 The service was super nice. 👍 The ambience, outside and in the restaurant, is rather simple. But you don't feel uncomfortable. And you shouldn't get upset about the price. Firstly, all costs are covered and secondly: you can google it beforehand. And the comparison with 'Hans im Glück' is laughable. Like Mäcces, there are ready-made patties!!! Beautiful beer garden located on the avenue in the heart of Weiden. On Sunday evening the cars are not very disturbing either. First you had to ask the waitresses to come to the table to stop smoking. The advice that people should shout despite the loud traffic was not heard when they later asked for salt for the unsalted fries. You also had to go into the store. I was told there that yes, it was a long way. Inside, the apparently new employee ate a burger herself, which is probably the actual explanation why they didn't get any salt. My subsequent suggestion that the extremely dry spare ribs could be made better was dismissed. They tasted like they were warmed up in the microwave. According to the companions, the burger was ok - but the service was absolutely on the lower level in Weiden. Criticism that the towels in the toilet were empty was met with a shrug. Nobody comes to pay and I sit there after another 10 minutes and now I have to ask the ladies again. And no, it's not a criticism of the new employee, but of her boss, who noticed everything and didn't care that there were no towels. Her shrugging of the shoulders was also the reason for this criticism.

Very good burgers that can be customized for an additional charge. Not cheap, but definitely worth it. The very courteous service (multilingual) ensures that you feel completely comfortable.

The waitresses were actually quite accommodating. But a lot of people sat outside to smoke and had the greatest fun. The restaurant is completely empty except for one table, even though the online reservation says that nothing is available. And that on a Friday at 8 p.m. The food wasn't bad, but it wasn't anything special and the portions were far too small. My husband then ordered something small to eat at another restaurant. So we're not coming anymore.

Last Sunday evening for a burger dinner. Arrived spontaneously and still received a friendly welcome. We got a table straight away and the friendly waitress, after taking our drinks, helped us choose the burgers. Emma recommended the Blue Cheese. Fitted perfectly. Unfortunately, not all guests are particularly friendly. We had really unfriendly guests a few tables away, but the employee mentioned above did her best to somehow satisfy these people. There are professionals at work here!
