What a shame, dear Rudolph's, your kitchen really does a great job, the food is fantastic but your service was a disaster! We had reserved a table for 7:30 p.m. When my girlfriend entered the restaurant she was completely ignored. It was only when I approached her and we took the initiative that someone even looked at our table. At first there was trouble finding our reservation and our table also didn't seem to be prepared. We ordered, and our waitress seemed slightly annoyed. In addition to the wine being much too warm, we tried to get ice from various waiters - to no avail. It was only when I went to the bar after about 40 minutes that I was told that there were problems with the ice machine, but that there might still be ice cubes in the back. Another 20 minutes passed before I asked again. Finally the restaurant manager (presumably) took pity on us and brought a large bag of ice to the front, while at other tables various drinks were sent back because they were too warm. Finally we got a small glass of ice cubes. When asked about it, the supposed boss of the evening offered excuses instead of apologizing. Very weak. We won't be back. It's a shame, because the food is really good. But something is very, very wrong here! Unfortunately, that ruined our evening.

We went to Rudolph's last week. We chose it because of my wife's celiac disease. The ambiance was okay, rather modern, not really our cup of tea. But luckily, that's a matter of taste; perhaps it was just too stylish for us country folk. ;-) But the food was very good. The gluten-free pizza, in particular, was, according to my wife, the best she'd ever eaten. I tried it myself and can say that there was no difference in the taste between the regular (gluten-containing) and the gluten-free pizza. All other items on the menu are also available in gluten-free versions (for a small surcharge). Highly recommended for anyone who is gluten-resistant.

A very friendly welcome from the waiter. Thanks to a table reservation, there was no wait at all. Ordering was very quick, and we received our menus as soon as we sat down. The food arrived within 10 minutes. All in all, everything went perfectly, and the pizza was absolutely fantastic. For anyone with celiac disease or a gluten intolerance, this is an absolute must. One of the few restaurants that lets you order exactly the same thing as everyone else. 👍

The food itself was good, but cold because we had to sit outside. We had a reservation, but we were told that everything inside was full, which wasn't true. We sat outside and unfortunately, despite asking several times, we didn't get a blanket. The pineapple pizza had very few toppings, and you really have to pay close attention to whether it's REALLY gluten-free. Not everything is, per se, even though the waiter claimed it was.

My son was overjoyed that he could eat gluten-free. Thank you very much, it was lovely and we felt at home.

The food was good, but not outstanding. The bottle of wine was unfortunately much too warm, and it didn't come in an ice bucket; it only contained cold water. Drinks took a relatively long time to arrive, and some were even forgotten. We'd been there years ago, and we had fond memories of the restaurant. This time, unfortunately, it was only okay.

Good gluten-free pizza, the only downside was that the pizza arrived before the drinks. The windy terrace cooled the food quickly, but of course it was my choice to sit outside.

The gluten-free pizza was extremely delicious, but the regular pizza was unfortunately a bit too dark around the edges. The service left a lot to be desired: Apparently, they expect you to drink straight from the bottle. We only received a glass upon request. We also had to request cutlery after the food was served, and bringing only three place settings for four people is almost unintentionally odd. A notice in advance that cash payments are not accepted would also have been nice.

They also offer gluten-free options, and everything tasted great. The staff was extremely accommodating and friendly. Highly recommended.

The gluten-free pizza is very good! We've visited Rudolph's for the second time now, and we even made a special stop in Hamburg. Rudolph's is a dream for our daughter, who has celiac disease.

The starter and main course were good, although the tartar performed better than the pasta as a main course. The service should be improved, as we had to wait a long time for our drinks. The ambiance is modern and pleasant, but points are deducted for the dogs being allowed. They don't belong in a restaurant. After all, animals aren't allowed in a supermarket either.

We received a very friendly welcome from the team and the manager. We had a delicious meal with our two kids on Monday lunchtime. Our little one, who has celiac disease, also enjoyed the gluten-free pizza very well. We'll definitely be back!

It's a lovely restaurant, beautifully located. We had pea soup with shrimp tartare for €12.90. The soup was about 200ml lukewarm. The shrimp tartare consisted of three cooked shrimp tails that were cold. A tartare is something that's carefully cut into small cubes and seasoned. This should be visibly arranged as a mirror on the soup. Pizza (gluten-free because my wife has celiac disease) The pizza wasn't cooked all the way through, tasted good, but €18 was too expensive for me. The service – I don't want to know what it's like when it's busy. The question about drinks came quickly, the question about the food took 30 minutes, and the waiter only came because we asked. After the food was served, we weren't even looked at again. Since a restaurant makes most of its revenue from drinks, the waiter should ask if you'd like a drink when the glasses are empty. Personally, at today's prices, I don't feel like asking if I can get something else! Conclusion- so-so.

We were there on a Friday evening; it was very busy, and the staff were very busy. We had to wait a bit longer for our food. But everyone was very friendly. After a quick inquiry, our food arrived promptly.

A very nice restaurant with delicious and varied food. They even have a dog that belongs to the restaurant – cute.

First of all, I saw it posted by a cute TikToker and saved it. We were there yesterday. We asked for more details, and man, it was so nice there. Everyone was answered kindly, and the pizza was amazing. My daughter, in particular, found it incredibly difficult to overcome her fear, as she's had problems with other restaurants in the past. Gluten-free doesn't necessarily mean contamination-free. But here everything was great, as celiac disease is known in the family. For me and my daughter, it was a successful visit with such delicious pizza and pasta 💕. The staff were also super friendly and accommodating. We'd love to come back ❤️❤️ And by the way... They also had gluten-free beer. 🤘❤️

Nice and very tasty, we arrived super hungry and had to wait almost an hour for the food because of a large group... otherwise great!

Unfortunately, the service was abysmal. Our order was simply taken and brought to our table; we couldn't have expected any better service. We also ordered a bottle of wine with a cork, and despite several attempts, the waiter didn't open or pour the bottle. In the end, we brought a waiter's knife with us and did everything ourselves. Unfortunately, that's not what you go out for. Next time, we'll probably just order takeaway, because the gluten-free pizza was really good! It's a shame the service isn't up to scratch, otherwise I'd love to go there more often!

The concept seems a bit lackluster. Everything is a bit worn." The gluten-free food offerings are no longer convincing. The gluten-free pizza at other restaurants has a much better base. Gluten-free pasta is now available in many varieties, not just one. More attention should be paid to cleanliness.

We were in Hamburg last week. We tried our luck and went to Rudolph's without a reservation. It was quite busy, but a table for two was no problem. We had two pizzas. They were perfect for us. The crust was fluffy and crispy around the edges, and the toppings were perfectly seasoned. Definitely a very good place for a mega pizza in Hamburg. We'd be happy to go again!

The gluten-free pizza was amazing! So delicious 😋 The service was very friendly, and despite the crowds, we didn't have to wait long for our food. The prices are quite reasonable. What bothered us a little was the acoustics. It was very loud and difficult to have a conversation.

The food was very good, served promptly after ordering, and the service was very friendly. We were asked several times during the meal if everything was okay. After that, we were unfortunately ignored for the rest of the evening. We understand that on a Saturday evening in a busy restaurant, you can expect a wait. However, after handing us the dessert menu, which we also had to beg for, we weren't served again; only all the tables around us were served. After waiting for over 30 minutes and several attempts to get our attention, we decided not to order dessert and left. Since no one was interested in us, we had to go from the terrace into the restaurant to pay. So we approached the manager and said we would be happy to do so. We were told we had to tell the waiter who was in charge of us. But how could we, when we were ignored the whole time? 🙃 After a brief objection and a small comment that no one seemed to be in charge of us in the slightest, we went straight to her. ``` Unfortunately, we will refrain from visiting again.

Very good pizzas, delicious salads, and desserts. Everything is also gluten-free. Great. Very friendly and helpful service. A wonderful outdoor terrace with a view of the canal. They often also offer delicious baked goods to take away.

We came spontaneously this evening without a reservation. The only thing we could have done with a more subdued acoustics inside was quite loud. Otherwise, everything was great: Even though it was almost 9 p.m., we received a friendly welcome and were seated with our children. The pizza and pasta arrived quickly and hot, and the carpaccio was delicious, as was the wine.

I was thrilled with the gluten-free options at Rudolf's! The gluten-free pizza was crispy and flavorful, the pasta al dente and perfectly seasoned with jumbo shrimp. The highlight was a gluten-free Black Forest gateau – simply divine! The service was also attentive and friendly. A hidden gem in Hamburg for people with gluten intolerance.

The food was very good, and almost everything can be ordered gluten-free. Which is a delight for celiacs. The pizza dough, also gluten-free, is homemade. We had a problem with our two drinks, but the staff quickly took care of it and found a good solution. (A few fruit flies had gotten into one of the bottles; they discovered this and opened a new one.) And for vegans, they even have vegan cheese.

The chef isn't there, the other chef doesn't speak the same language as the waitress, so other requests can't be accommodated. No pasta, the menu is severely reduced. There at 6:15 p.m., the food at 7:46 p.m. still not there. Really, really not good. I wouldn't recommend it.

Loved the place! We were looking for a relaxed dinner with friends that has gluten-free options and found Rudolph’s. It will not be the last time we will eat here. The service was excellent and the pizzas were great!!

Unfortunately, I was a bit disappointed this time. Outside, the tables were missing salt, pepper, and maybe some balsamic vinegar and olive oil. Also, the coziness was somehow lacking...maybe a flower or a candle on the tables, seat cushions, etc. To begin with, there was no bread, and no gluten-free bread either, which we thought was a shame given the high prices. The pasta came without Parmesan, which we kind of take for granted...when we asked, it took a long time for the waitress to bring it because she forgot. But the food was, as always, very good and delicious; we all enjoyed it.

The pizzas were delicious. It's nice that they offer gluten-free pizza for allergy sufferers and have an allergy menu. However, I have so many intolerances that I would have liked a specific list of ingredients, which unfortunately wasn't there. (e.g.: What is the vegan cheese alternative made of?) They could certainly offer that. Overall, though, I was happy to be able to go out for pizza again. It tasted just like you'd imagine pizza should! :)

A complete tourist trap. Absolutely tasteless food. Nothing to do with Italy. The carpaccio was tough and inedible. The pasta was overcooked and unseasoned. There was no bread with the appetizer either (it was already gone! On a Saturday night!!!). The service was completely helpless. No apologies, no assistance.

Upon arriving at the company party, I ask the manager if I can have a non-alcoholic Aperol and am told to calm down. A restaurant for alcoholics, then? Pizza was okay, Pasta was abysmally bad, not even Barilla pasta quality, total mush, like in a retirement home. Salad so-so... Dessert was okay. I wouldn't go there on my own. Luckily, I didn't see the bill.

Great restaurant and lots of gluten-free food

Unfortunately, it was a disappointment for me. The rump steak was nothing, over medium and tough. The meat was only "grilled" on one side. The potatoes, most of them undercooked, were hard in the middle. The steak was definitely not good value for money‼️ Annoying. My wife enjoyed the gluten-free pizza. It was also on the higher end in terms of price... But if it tastes good and the quality is good, I'm happy to pay more.

We arrived about an hour earlier than our reservation and asked if it was possible to get a table for three people. This was confirmed with a hand gesture toward the available tables, which was the greeting. The decor is rather practical and meets our needs, but it didn't feel inviting. Upon further inquiry, our server informed us that the gluten-free offerings were limited to pizza. We would have liked to have read that on the website before we made our reservation. The Ratsherren Pils on tap was not chilled, but at room temperature. The ordered dishes arrived relatively quickly, and the pleasant gathering could begin. The pizza was prepared in a stone oven and baked at a significantly higher temperature, which meant that the pizza crust had clearly visible soot marks on the top in several places. We wouldn't make a reservation there again.

A beautifully located restaurant with very friendly service and excellent food. It's worth mentioning that even people with gluten intolerance will find a very good selection of dishes here, tailored to their needs. The service is very attentive and friendly. Loud, but otherwise everything was great. Gluten-free for my celiac child was totally uncomplicated. When I asked if the brownie was available in a gluten-free version, the answer was: "It's always gluten-free." The service was very friendly and prompt, and the food was delicious.

We received a friendly welcome. The service was very good. The pizzas were good, but not great. They could have been crispier and more flavorful. It would have been nice to have had bread and herb butter/aioli served beforehand. Otherwise, everything was good.

Unfortunately, a bitter disappointment. Despite having a reservation, we waited a quarter of an hour for our table, even though half the place was empty. After another half hour of waiting for the menus to be brought to us after repeated requests, The drinks took another quarter of an hour, and half of them were wrong or missing. The extremely friendly (irony off) manager told us we were sitting at the wrong table, which was for 8 people and not 7. She also seemed unhappy with her staff, as we could hear them throughout the restaurant all evening. The food was quite okay. The price-performance ratio was absolutely unjustified. If you charge high prices, you have to deliver. When we paid, the waiter said we didn't look happy, but there was no apology or anything else. Not recommended!!!!

Das Ambiente gleicht eher der Mensa einer Uni und es war hölle laut. Die Pizzen kamen sehr verbrannt daher und ein entsprechender Kommentar, Achselzucken ignoriert. Insgesamt machte das Personal einen gestressten Eindruck und am Pizzaofen gab es auch zwischenmenschlich nicht nur eitel Sonnenschein. Kurz, wir waren froh als wir wieder draußen waren. Friendly service and good food. We had to ask twice for the dessert menu and the bill, as they forgot to ask both times. What wasn't great was the information provided in advance over the phone. When I asked if my children, both of whom have celiac disease, could eat gluten-free at the restaurant, I was told, "If it says so online, it must be true." That almost put us off going.

Despite having a reservation, we were able to choose a large table for 10 people outside. We then waited 45 minutes to order drinks. Then we waited even longer for drinks. Our food order was successful after an hour of waiting. My pizza was very burnt around the edges, and I could have gotten a new one. But since I'd already waited 90 minutes for everything, I accepted it. Unfortunately, there was no offer of a glass of wine on the house or anything like that. The gluten-free pizza was good, and so were a few other pizzas. We must have just had a bad day, and unfortunately, we won't be coming back.

We were part of a larger group and chose this restaurant because of the gluten-free pizza. Due to a technical problem in the interface between ordering and the kitchen, we felt like we were just a sideshow. It took more than 30 minutes for someone to come to our table. Then we were given only the menu. Another 15 minutes later, we were finally able to order after asking. Initially, only drinks. They arrived relatively quickly, but not all of them. We were only informed of the problem when our food orders were taken. The ordered dishes were delivered relatively promptly, but only a quarter of the group rated them as more than satisfactory. Some of the pizzas were very oven-baked. Due to a booked barge trip, a new pizza was offered, but they were not offered. An apology or, perhaps, a free drink was "none." We then paid at the counter, as no one cleared the table or asked for more. We really missed the service described in the previous reviews. We won't be coming back. It's a shame, because the location has something.

I find it hard to understand the good reviews. We made a reservation, were rudely directed "downstairs," where the extremely unfriendly manager couldn't find our reservation at first, barked at us, then finally found it, but then just rudely said, "It's not possible yet, you'll have to wait," and we were shown outside. No sorry, no smile, nothing. After 10 minutes, we finally got a table, and it became clear that we weren't dealing with trained service staff. We sat there stupidly for another 10 minutes until a menu finally arrived. Drinks weren't cold; a virgin aperitif was only sweet; I had to reorder water to drink it; the waitress didn't understand what I meant by "can you add some water, it's too sweet." The food came quickly, the pizzas were okay, but my gnocchi was 80 percent sauce with maybe 12 gnocchis. The service was still just odd, not courteous or friendly. Really not worth a visit.

Overall, the service staff seemed a bit overwhelmed and confused. The food arrived after another 20 minutes. One or two of the pizzas were very burnt, and the bologna was inedible. The gluten-free pizza was apparently good. Unfortunately, we were used to something different and were very disappointed.

Very disappointing! We had reserved a table and had been looking forward to the food for a while. The good reviews piqued our interest, but unfortunately, we can't confirm them. When we arrived, the manager (?) asked us to simply choose any table instead of being shown to our reserved one. Some of the tables weren't even set, even though we arrived shortly after the restaurant opened. My companion wanted to add other vegetarian components to an asparagus starter salad (e.g., potato wedges, which were also available with other dishes). According to the menu, only shrimp could be ordered as an option. After consulting with a colleague, no other side dish was available. Since our waitress was very new, we asked the manager again if we could order something with the salad. She said we could also have gluten-free bread. So, it worked after all. ... When we got our food, however, the bread was missing and took a while to arrive... Our bottle of water was simply slammed down on the table by the "nice" colleague before disappearing without a word. In between, and even until the end, there was no question about whether we wanted something else to drink, whether everything was okay, or anything else. When we finally informed the waiter that we wanted to pay, he simply said, "You had the fish with potatoes, the starter salad, bread (for €7.50?!), and a bottle of water—that's it?" If we'd had the chance, we would have ordered more drinks and desserts, but we weren't even given a second glance. Our waitress from the beginning then just took care of another area next to us. Unfortunately, I wouldn't want to come back like that. The service was in dire need of improvement, and the food, even though it wasn't bad, looked very poorly presented.

The gluten-free pizza parmesan was delicious. They also have gluten-free beer (a rare find in Germany, based on my experience, which is not infrequent). The waiters were very friendly and attentive. 100% recommended.

Incredibly delicious pizzas. A visit, especially for those with gluten intolerance. The gluten-free pizza was super tasty and almost indistinguishable from a regular one.

We pre-ordered two pizzas, arrived after the stated time, and were then left standing outside in the cold for 45 minutes. Apparently, we were forgotten, even though the service staff walked past us several times; no one seemed to care. Only after asking did we discover that the pizzas had been ready for a while and were sitting in the oven. The €3 surcharge for the vegan cheese, which was extremely cheap, two halved cherry tomatoes, and a basil leaf on a tasteless sauce really didn't justify the €15 price tag. They weren't even sliced.

Das Servicepersonal ist sehr freundlich und umsichtig, keine langen Wartezeiten beim Bestellen oder Nachbestellen von Getränken. Die Spargelsuppe kam im heißen Teller, sah merkwürdig aufgeschäumt aus und war nur lauwarm, Mikrowelle? Wenig Spargelgeschmack und das Brot dazu war oben drauf verbrannt. Die Linguine mit Spargel und Trüffelsauce, sehr überschaubare Portion Nudeln, schätzungsweise 50 Gramm, mit einer weißen pampigen Soße, keine Spur von Trüffelgeschmack und keine Trüffel drin, übersichtlich kleine Spargelstückchen von ca. 1,0 cm und 2 größere Stücke, dafür aber den Geschmack mit Frühlingszwiebeln "aufgepeppt", sodass alles nach Frühlingszwiebel geschmeckt hat. Das ganze für 23 Euro. Die 5 dünnen Stangen Spargel mit Kartoffeln und Katenschinken kosteten 30,50 Euro waren ebenfalls völlig überteuert und kein Geschmackserlebnis. Die Pizzen von unseren Freunden sahen ordentlich aus, aber keiner war hellauf begeistert. Wir gehen alle gerne und gut essen und zahlen auch gerne einen angemessenen Preis für lecker Essen. Alles in allem kein Highlight. Dazu kommt, dass die Räumlichkeit nicht gemütlich ist, also länger sitzen macht keinen Spaß und viel zu laut.

As a long-standing partner, we greatly value our collaboration with Rudolphs in Hafencity. For many years, we have been visiting the restaurant regularly for our events – whether with students or seminar participants from the Frankfurt School – and there's always a table available for us. The food is consistently delicious, and the service is always friendly and attentive. The lunch menu, in particular, offers excellent value for money. Rudolphs offers reliable quality and a pleasant atmosphere – we're always happy to come back! A big thank you to the entire team – here's to many more years together!

We've been to Rudolph's several times. The food was delicious, as always. However, the service on our last visit was very poor. The way the waiter took our orders seemed complicated. As a result, two meals weren't served, and some of us had to wait a long time.
