The ambiance is very well-designed, and the large terrace is also lovely. It can now also be used in winter thanks to a stylish heated tent. The food is delicious, and the portions are perfectly adequate. The staff is attentive and friendly; we'll definitely be back.

There were four of us there – my wife, her friend (who was pregnant), a mutual friend, and I – and we had a full menu with a starter, main course, dessert, and drinks. And I'll tell you how it is: There wasn't a single complaint. Everything was absolutely top-notch! The service was not only friendly, but also truly attentive – they took their time with us, recommended suitable dishes, and took our individual needs into consideration. A particularly positive aspect: There was a great selection for my friend, who is vegetarian. And the pregnant companion received targeted and responsible advice, which is certainly not a given. The food? A real hit in terms of taste! Every course was made with love, creative, varied, and perfectly prepared. The location is stylish, clean, and modern – everything from the decor to the restrooms is very well-maintained. You simply feel at home as soon as you enter the restaurant. Unfortunately, I can't comment on the hotel area since we didn't stay overnight – but if the food and service are up to standard there, I can imagine the hotel deserves just as much of a 5-star rating. Conclusion: For me, one of the best restaurants in the region. Highly recommended – whether for a cozy evening for two, a meal with friends, or a special occasion.

Really good and tasty food, but in summer it's almost unbearable, it's far too warm inside.

Today, following a recommendation, we visited Rübli Restaurant for the first time. A very friendly and attentive team awaited us. The food didn't take long to arrive and tasted delicious. As soon as a glass was empty, we were asked if we wanted a new one, and as soon as a plate was empty, it was cleared away. To be fair, it wasn't busy when we arrived, but this kind of service is unfortunately rare these days. Keep up the good work!! See you next time!!🙋‍♂️🍻

We were at Rübli this evening for the first time, and certainly not the last. A beautifully designed restaurant/bar concept complements the excellent cuisine, offering top value for money. I had the braised beef cheeks, which were perfectly prepared and an absolute highlight in terms of quantity for the price. The second dish, the turkey schnitzels, were excellent with a very subtle buttery flavor. The very friendly and attentive service is highly commendable; keep it up, and a compliment to the entire team. It's a shame I can't give more stars. Great, keep it up 🫶

A beautiful and modern restaurant in Freiberg. We were a group of six, the service was very friendly, and the food was generally good. However, we had two different versions of the rösti, and both were very soggy. It would have been better if the side dish had been served on the side instead of on top.

This week we paid a visit to the Rübli. All in all, a lovely restaurant with friendly staff, and even our little dog was allowed to come along. Personally, I found the elderflower spritzer a little too watery (my mother-in-law enjoyed it). The breaded schnitzel with fries was quite edible, although it was a bit dry for me (I've had better). Plus points were definitely given for the generous portions. I was then redeemed by an excellent dessert, the passion fruit crème brûlée, which was perfectly cooked. Overall, I'll give it a slight deduction, but you can't go wrong with a visit.

It was great again. The daily special – roast beef with spaetzle and the veggie rösti with salad – was once again very tasty. We just stopped in for dinner. Super friendly service. Great atmosphere. A good selection, something for every taste. We'll definitely go back.

We stayed at the Hotel Rübli from May 11th to May 16th, 2025, and we were absolutely thrilled. The room was top-notch, the cleanliness was top-notch, and so was the bed. The restaurant is beautifully designed, and the food is truly delicious—a great concept. The staff, including the manager, are extremely friendly and welcoming. The atmosphere is pleasantly relaxed. Very nice restaurant! Something like that was really missing in Freiberg. Although the restaurant was busy, we were served quickly and very friendly. The food was really delicious and also inexpensive. We will come back soon!

About the restaurant: well furnished, all staff friendly, quick and not intrusive. The portions are large and it tasted very good. If we lived nearby, we would eat there more often. Hello everyone, today we had my husband's birthday dinner at Rübli. We were there for the first time because our daughter works there as a temporary worker alongside her studies. It was really really good, the food, the service. Everything is just great. I am happy that my daughter works in such a good restaurant. I come from the catering industry myself and can judge this very well. We'll definitely be back. Keep it up. Thanks.

We were there as restaurant guests, so I can't rate the rooms. Food, service, ambience, everything is right at Rübli. Without exception, everyone was thrilled. Portions are generous and the prices are absolutely reasonable. Food and drinks came quickly even though the restaurant was at full capacity.

Unfortunately, the hotel and not the restaurant to which my review refers are intended to be reviewed here. Very comfortable and well furnished. Service very friendly and attentive. Beef broth with pancakes was ok as a starter, homemade pancakes, unfortunately the broth wasn't strong and served a little too cold. Main courses adequate portions, tasted very good. But here too, served moderately warm. As a result, the food gets cold too quickly, which is considered negative in the rating. Especially given the high prices. These are justified if the kitchen improves a little in quality. Therefore, overall 3 stars for the kitchen, as you can expect more when it comes to pricing. We'll be back and hope to be able to give it 5 stars.

Decent food at a reasonable price. I was there with a Chinese supplier and the service at Rübli was also from China.

Unfortunately, since the opening there has been a clear trend with prices rising and portions becoming smaller and smaller. The roast is now the size of a child's portion and a carafe for prepared tap water costs around €7, which requires no further comment. The turkey steak was also plain and dry, the grilled vegetables were overcooked and extremely heavy on onions. The waitresses are all super friendly with the exception of one colleague with an Asian look. She was once again completely inflexible, canceling a glass of water within a second and converting it into a bottle of water was dismissed with: The booking is already out. You should leave your constant snarky attitude at home. In return, her colleague continued to serve us at the end; his colleague could use this as an example of how the perfect service works. I still give it 3 stars because the taste of my food was very good, but the price-performance ratio is still out of proportion and so it is currently rather questionable for us whether we will eat here again

We had dinner there today. Very nice and attentive service. One point deducted because one slice of the neck roast melted in your mouth and the second was somehow tough and very, very streaky. I can't judge the rooms because I was only in the restaurant. The food is top. The meat was tender and actually medium rare as ordered. Discreetly and beautifully presented on the plate. The dessert as well as the main course were beautifully presented and tasted great. The long drinks/cocktails are also great and not just a glass full of ice cubes. The condition was very polite, friendly and non-intrusive. The restaurant is also great in terms of price. In addition, the spatial furnishings and decoration are very successful, appear inviting and create a feel-good atmosphere. A clear recommendation.

Excellent food. We were a larger group and shared our meals. Everything was warm and delicious. The spaetzle and sauce with meat in all its variations were a hit with everyone. If you want good Swabian food, this is the place to go. Plus, the service is great and the atmosphere is relaxed!

I've been here many times and it's always been great. Yesterday (December 30th) we were here again with 15 people. During the night half of the guests started vomiting or getting diarrhea. We have brought it down to a common denominator (chocolate cake). Probably salmonella or something. We've never experienced anything like that here before. I hope you learn from it and pay better attention to the quality of the food, especially from suppliers!

I actually really like the Rübli, but this time it was unfortunately very disappointing. At first a good half of the orders were mixed up and all special requests were ignored ("No cream please", "Strawberry ice cream please", "The drink in large size please"), but the bigger problem was that almost all the adults in the group then spent the night with them vomiting diarrhea spent over the toilet. The fries the kids ate seemed ok. If something like that happens at a cheap kebab stand, it's stupid, but at €40-50 per person it really shouldn't happen. You should be able to expect that food standards are sufficiently adhered to so as not to poison the guests.

Nach dem 1. Besuch vor 1 Jahr probierten wir das Rübli nochmals aus. Leider mussten wir feststellen, dass die Qualität der Speisen und auch das Servicepersonal maximal Durchschnitt ist. Geschmacklich naja, Rostbraten und Cordeu Bleu so nicht zu empfehlen. Ofenschlupfer zum Beispiel viel zu trocken. Die Getränkepreise für nicht alkoholische Getränke sind viel zu teuer, so dass man sich überlegt, überhaupt noch ein 2. Getränk zu bestellen. Die Küche ist daher nicht empfehlenswert und wir waren das letzte Mal im Rübli. Schade, dass in Freiberg verpasst wurde, endlich mal ein sehr gutes Restaurant zu installieren. Für einen sehr guten Koch muss man auch investieren. Ambiente ist viel zu laut und daher ungemütlich. Hier wären Raumteiler, Teiler mit Pflanzen zur Lärmminderung angebracht. Es macht keinen Sinn, dass man sich lautstark unterhalten muss, weil es die "Hallenlautstärke" so erforfordert. Wirklich schade.

Excellent food again yesterday, not only in terms of taste, but also in terms of the size of the portions and the way it was served. I don't know anyone who has been there and isn't as enthusiastic as we are ;-) The service is also very, very nice and accommodating. All dishes are served quickly, at the same time and hot. (Now I just have to somehow find the recipe for the passion fruit creme brulée ;-)) See you soon!!

For me, the lighting was too dim and the atmosphere was too restless (it was always ringing or beeping somewhere). We sat a bit unhappy, every time the door opened there was a lot of draft. The salad was fresh and very tasty. Käspätzle weren't that great. It wasn't our taste but it was full, which speaks for itself.

Zeer fijne ervaring, heel vriendelijk personeel, ruime keuze aan drankjes en eten. Lekker gegeten. Zeer leuke ambiance met live optreden.

Unfortunately, the reception was very sober, a smile would signal to the guests that they are welcome. I didn't have that impression. On my second visit the reception was no different, a "nice to have you here" looks different. The service at the table was great and very nice. The fact that the S-Bahn station is next door doesn't bother you. The food is good.

Food was very good. A somewhat cold reception at the entrance and a longer wait for food. Sitting outside is also possible and there is plenty of space there. There was live music outside that evening and even a small dancing opportunity.

Room would be acceptable at half the price. It was dusty, the water bottles were filled with tap water, no air conditioning and hardly any possibility of ventilation.

I ate the best roast beef ever here. Service staff is top and you can notice the joy at work.

Very nice staff, very nice hotel, great and clean room, hotel very accommodating, had to cancel a room at short notice, no cancellation fee. We were all given a cup of coffee on the house in the morning. Great hotel, thank you keep it up. Again any time.

We had a wonderful reception! As soon as we had unloaded our luggage from the bikes, a downpour fell from the sky... the team had to work to get everything to safety, and yet we were checked in and provided with a delicious orange and lentil soup. We were very happy with our room... modern furnishings, nice bathroom, comfortable bed with great pillows (which we will probably purchase at the next opportunity). Unfortunately there is no breakfast on Saturdays because it would probably have been just as great as dinner. We ate excellent food, drank wonderful wine and were pampered by the service. Dennis was our superstar, but the entire team plays a big part in the success of the house, as does the charm of the building... a restored old warehouse. We will be back!

Nice restaurant in the former shed at the train station. Very good attentive service. The food is a modern interpretation of Swabian and classic cuisine, such as special Maultaschen or onion roast, but also Swiss Röstis with salmon. There are also good wines from the region or Europe. The atmosphere is great both inside and out. Absolutely recommended

A modern, renovated warehouse that has been redesigned as a restaurant in terms of color and otherwise very appealing. The staff was always friendly, polite and very accommodating. The food was very tasty and finely balanced, a delight for the palate. I felt very comfortable in the place and would visit again.

The Rübli in Freiberg/N, right next to the train station: very cozy atmosphere, both inside and out, offers good food at fair prices. I've been here many times, but after my last visit you won't see me in Rübli for a long time. We had a senior citizen with us who can only eat a little after an operation. When asked when ordering whether the lady could order a children's portion for €7.50, the answer was “but of course” in the presence of 5 people. A small, beautifully presented portion of cheese spaetzle was served. The bill then included a senior meal for €17. Pointing out the oversight almost led to a scandal, with the waitress declaring in front of her colleagues with complete conviction that she had never agreed to a children's portion. Conclusion: Don't expect guest-oriented service here!

The room with bathroom is large, new and very clean. But uncomfortable. The high window looks out onto the dusty roof glazing of the outside terrace. When the window is open it is very loud (guests, train station) and possibly full of cigarette smoke. When the window is closed it is hot and stuffy, the existing fan makes noise 🙄. Breakfast consists of two rolls, some cheese, cooked sausage and the well-known mini portion packets, a lot of rubbish!! Scrambled eggs are not on offer, nor are fresh ones. I don't think it's appropriate for 14.50 (per person). Also the overnight stay for 130€/2pers. I think it's too expensive. If only it were nice... The whole house is newly renovated and the restaurant seems good (although expensive). The staff is friendly.

Restaurant Rating: A very nice, modern and attractively furnished restaurant. Service very good and friendly. Prices are relatively high. Unfortunately the food was a disappointment. The cordon bleu tasted disgusting, I'm guessing it was old fat for frying. The most beautiful ambience is of no use if the food doesn't taste good.

We've only been to the restaurant so far, so I can't rate the rooms and hotel service. The food's value for money is great. Very tasty cocktails, extensive wine list, very nice ambience and service staff who are great. We always enjoy coming back.

The atmosphere in and around the restaurant is very pleasant. The service was very accommodating. The Obatzda we ordered was very good, but otherwise there was still room for improvement with the dishes we ordered. The Caesar salad was just boring, the croutons came out of the package. There was also no option to add chicken for example for an additional charge. The surf and turf salad was barely seasoned. But we will try again.

Good parking directly at the restaurant, very tasty cuisine and a really friendly and great staff. We always feel very comfortable here and always enjoy coming back.

A really nice restaurant with warm service and a very attractive menu. Unfortunately, none of this is of any use if you spend the next 4 days weak on the toilet due to food poisoning. I had Rösti with fillet and MUSHROOMS which, like so many others have already reviewed, was probably not made fresh, but rather pre-cooked or warmed up. Luckily, my business partners and colleagues were spared my experience. Thanks for nothing!

We have eaten at the Rübli restaurant several times as a family. Every time it was great, the food was delicious, the service was consistently friendly and attentive, and the atmosphere was appealing. During this visit we had, among other things, schnitzel with asparagus, fillet with spaetzle, sausage salad, salad and other very tasty dishes. For example, the quality of the meat is great, the chefs clearly know their craft, everything is perfectly seasoned but not over-seasoned. We like to drive the approx. 20 km to Freiberg, for us the Rübli is far and away the best restaurant in this price category. The price-performance ratio is fair, but we wouldn't pay significantly more.

Food is delicious - the price for the beer (Alpirsbacher 5.80 for 0.5) is outrageous. The service is average. Overall, the drink prices and the rather small portions put us off another visit

Review refers only to the restaurant. Have been there several times. Nice location. Cold to the feet in the tent in winter, but bearable. The cuisine ranges from excellent to catastrophic. Seems to vary completely depending on who is in the kitchen. My favorite dish, the veggie röstis, was sometimes super tasty and crispy, then everything was dripping with fat and another time it was soaked with an ominous sauce from above. If you then take into account the significantly increased prices for the normal dishes (veggie röstie almost 20 EUR), which may be due to the increased VAT and the increased product costs, but I also expect a delicious dish, unfortunately we will to seek our happiness elsewhere in the future. Tried lunch again today. Unfortunately pretty tasteless. The eggplant omelette with fries sounded great, but was pretty tasteless and the portion was very manageable. Fries could have stayed in the fryer a little longer and a few more on the plate wouldn't have hurt either. The small piece of eggplant was nice and very manageable, but quite tasteless with the chewy mozzarelle and tomato. Very unfortunate. The service was impeccable.

Hotel with new and decorated facilities, free parking, air-conditioned rooms, the bathroom has underfloor heating, very pleasant when you get out of the shower, spacious rooms and quite soundproofed, the only downside is that there is a railway track and the station in the corner, but if you open the windows, you can hear practically nothing, if you sleep very well, no problems with noises or vibrations. Quiet and recommended place. It also has a nice restaurant that is quite busy, I haven't tried the food yet, but it looks like a nice place.

I ONLY review the restaurant! I can't understand all the reviews about the portions being too small! We had an excellent meal, the portions were more than generous (and I'm a good eater!) and the price was fair! We sat outside and only had a brief glimpse of the inside, which is very nice and modernly decorated. Service was outstanding!!! I recommend absolutely without reservation and will come back!!!!!

There were three of us. An early dinner on a Tuesday, table reserved online. Nicely furnished. Warm welcome, consistently great service. Always an “eye on the guest”. Price performance wasn't quite right for us. Portions are very clear. Taste ok. We'll be back to test more. I can't say anything about the hotel. Parking lots available. Some belonging to the Rübli, train station parking and paid options on the street.

The room is left out of the rating because we were there without staying overnight. Food, service and ambience was very good. Not a long wait, also observed at the next table. Portions are just right, not too big and not too little. Nevertheless, a side salad would have been nice for the amount. We had the schnitzel (2×) and the lamb cutlet (2×). All 4 eaters were satisfied. The schnitzel breading was nicely cross, the lamb cutlet was tender and fell apart, slightly pink in the middle. A real feast for the eyes and stomach. Yes, in terms of price, you can argue about it, as it is already quite “well” upscale. Nevertheless, all in all it was a successful meal with very committed, friendly staff. P.S. If you can't manage everything, you can actually have the rest packed up to take with you.
