Very nice, friendly and attentive service, even though it was really busy (holiday) and she served the outside area alone. So hats off to the young lady! The homemade lemonade is also very tasty and we really enjoyed the tarte flambée. We have been there several times and can warmly recommend Cafè Pause.

Unthinkable at Anna & Matteo's First, friendly service... but then a ridiculous, but not fresh salad with brown cut edges and crusts for only €6. Last time, it was fresher, but the dressing was extremely vinegary, practically inedible. So we ordered the salad without dressing. Oil and vinegar were available on the table. Unfortunately, the bottle of oil was so sticky and dirty that you had to wonder if the "professional staff" might ever notice. Main course: lasagna. The bottom layers of dough were already dried out, hard, and with tough edges. The whole thing was partly warm, partly lukewarm. So, again, not fresh, but reheated. I asked the staff about it and received (an absolute no-go in the hospitality industry!) two completely unacceptable and criminally wrong answers: ...that could be said differently, and ...we'll take care of it when we have time. Not even a hint of an apology or regret. Bravo! But that can't work in the long run! Especially given the rather demanding price level. Disappointing and angering guests in this way is short-sighted and will result in them not coming back a third time. But as long as there are enough guests who accept this kind of thing, everything is fine. By the way, squid rings are frozen, but that doesn't mean they're cheap.
