Hospitality is still alive here. Whether from the hotel manager or the trainee, everyone was very friendly and helpful. We had booked at short notice for the weekend. We were warmly welcomed with a glass of champagne. The hotel was then explained to us. Since the hotel is a bit winding, which doesn't really bother us, we were even escorted to the room. We were able to really relax in the wellness area, which we didn't expect to be so big. Dinner was a pleasure. Thank you for the lovely time. We'll definitely come back.

Surprise succeeded. I wanted to surprise my partner with a wellness weekend. We were given very good advice over the phone as to which arrangement was the right one for the surprise. We were warmly welcomed upon arrival. There was even a glass of champagne. We even got a free upgrade from the hotel manager to a country house room. The room was beautifully decorated, matching our arrangement. The SPA area is a dream. In the evening we dined in the in-house restaurant. Although we hadn't booked a table and decided to do so spontaneously, we were warmly welcomed and seated in the restaurant. The food in the restaurant is a delight. The service and friendliness were excellent. In the evening the hotel manager even came through the restaurant and personally greeted all the guests and asked how they felt. Unfortunately, you don't see this hospitality from all the employees so often these days. Regardless of whether the employees are in room cleaning, at reception or in service, everyone is consistently friendly, helpful and personable. Our extra request for 2 pillows was immediately fulfilled. We had a lovely time and we'll be back. The next stay is already being planned.

The location of the hotel takes some getting used to, right on the street, and there are free parking spaces opposite. When we arrived we were not greeted, we were given a key. When we asked where our room was, we received “Lahnhaus” as the answer. To reach the Lahnhaus in question, you take the first elevator to the attic, then you have to walk what feels like a kilometer to the next elevator and then go back to the attic. It takes a really long time to get to the room. The room was very nice, we had wooden floors and a renovated bathroom. We explicitly stated this when booking, as there are probably much older rooms there. The TV is very small and unfortunately there is neither a kettle nor a coffee machine in the room. We almost never saw any staff during the entire stay. We would have liked to order something to eat from the restaurant or get information about sights in the area, but all we got was the answer that it wasn't possible at the moment because it was busy. The wellness area is spacious and beautiful, unfortunately the whirlpool was out of order. The ladder at the pool is very loose, so getting in and out is very wobbly. Here, too, you look in vain for someone who works in the hotel. The breakfast is okay, although a silverfish ran through one of the cereal bowls at the buffet. After that I no longer had any appetite. When the lady from the staff pointed this out, I only received a brief thank you. I really wonder who gave this hotel four stars. On the day of departure I had a massage appointment, but it was moved from 10:15 a.m. to 2:15 p.m. without comment. Overall really disappointing, no service at all. You can also stay at home. Regarding the hotel's comment: I didn't make fun of the employee, I just assumed that the part of the hotel was actually called Lahnhaus :-) But it's better to denounce myself than comment on the insects at breakfast.

We had a lovely time there. We really enjoyed the spa area in the rainy weather, which we unfortunately had, and the massages would be wonderful for relaxation (thanks to the nice lady there). The service was great and the food was excellent.

October 2024... We spontaneously drove here for 4 nights to just switch off from everyday life for a moment :-) Everything was great as always. There is a new boss...super nice and relaxed :-) We are now looking forward to December. Because then we'll be here again. Oh yes, there are a lot of new employees there from different countries. You learn “our” language and learn a job. Please be patient with these young people...They are alone and far away from their families. They all really try their best and are extremely friendly and “sweet”. We're really looking forward to seeing everyone again soon. Kind regards from the 3 at table “40” I think. 5 stars from the bottom of my heart!!! As always, we spent our vacation in March 2022 at the Landhotel Doerr “for 12 years” and have to say, we still really like it. The Doerr “Junior & Senior” family and all employees always give you a warm welcome. We love the whole existence...the house, the wellness area, our rooms, the people, the atmosphere, the breakfast and the dinner...oh just everything. For us it is the best wellness hotel. Now we're already looking forward to next December... "after we've enjoyed the summer :-)" ...to our next vacation there. Always pure relaxation. The three of us would like to give 5***** stars from the bottom of our hearts...because everything is really right here and is very beautiful. Kind regards from Oberhausen :-)

Very nice hotel with wellness and swimming pool, several saunas. Excellent food. We had a large but dark room with rustic oak. Unfortunately the mattress was sagging. But recommended. Anyone looking for peace and quiet is in good hands here.

Beautiful and surprisingly large hotel for the location, right opposite Feudingen train station. Nice large rooms with balconies. We chose half board because there isn't much of a choice of restaurants in the town anyway and got a delicious 4-course meal. The hotel has a very nice sauna area with a swimming pool, steam bath, bio sauna and Finnish sauna with an outdoor area. We arrived by bike and there was a bike garage.

The environment of the hotel is very nice, the rooms are clean and tidy, the food is delicious, it has a calm and peaceful ambiance..

We were there for a week. If I'm honest, I can't understand some of the reviews. You should also remember that you are served the way you appear. There was nothing to complain about in the room. It was cleaned every other day. I would have If I wanted to more often, I just had to say that. The staff, hotel and restaurant were great. The tea was free in the wellness area. It should be filled up more. But if you know that, you can take tea bags with you from breakfast. We'll be happy to come back.

Conveniently located near the train station. It was very quiet, probably because the room didn't face the street. Rooms/bathrooms are sufficiently large, nice and comfortable. However, without air conditioning on the upper floor it was almost unbearable. Breakfast was really good. We enjoyed dinner in terms of quality and quantity. The price was reasonable. Service was friendly. By the way, the marten tore the cables on our car...but the hotel can't help it!

This small hotel rightly has the word romance in its name. The rooms are very comfortably furnished and gave the impression of coming home. The cuisine is excellent, the choice for the three-course menu was varied. The staff was very concerned about the well-being of the guests without being intrusive. Unfortunately the management changed from July. I can only hope that work continues in the spirit of the outgoing director, who was great. Very close to the guest with the right amount of humor. I can only recommend the house, it was simply magical there.

The Romantik Landhotel Dörr near Bad Laasphe lives up to its name. Building units staggered up the slope form an ensemble that is pleasant to look at and full of peace. This leads to long walks in the hotel and requires full concentration on the way to the room, at least on the first day of your stay. There, however, and especially in the top rear area of ​​the building with the rooms from number 50 onwards, the guest is compensated by a wide, uninterrupted panoramic view of the hilly landscape from the balcony. And this from sunrise to sunset. Seating furniture is of course available. The wellness area of ​​the house is located in one of these building units, spread over three floors and it is truly the finest. Swimming pools, whirlpool, saunas, plunge pools, a grotto, a “golden” imperial bathtub invite you to linger. Stone loungers with either warm fabric or warm water cushion toppers and normal foam toppers are spread over three floors. Enough space for every requirement. The cuisine corresponded to the four-star hotel category in the morning and evening. At a rich breakfast buffet, among other things. With wonderfully crispy bacon and consistently fluffy scrambled eggs, nothing was left to be desired. The evening beef broth is rightly “very popular” with its delicately spicy meat flavor and round mouthfeel. The veal boiled beef, the Feudinger Küstchen and grilled pork fillet were solid and very tastefully seasoned, arranged on the plate and of a filling size. The service was great. Friendly, attentive and discreet, he was always there when needed. The restaurant manager, who was present briefly one evening, drew attention to himself with a heavy cloud of scent that settled on the palate and thus seriously impaired the enjoyment of the meal. Perfumed service staff are therefore a “no go” in the catering industry; Of course, this also applies to “perfume-loving” guests. All in all, a very satisfactory stay at the Romantik Landhotel Dörr.

Beautiful, romantic hotel for a couple. We were greeted with champagne and were even able to check in a little early. Our room was very spacious, quiet and the bathroom was recently renovated. The balcony offered enough space for 2 people. The spa area was really nice. There were 4 steam rooms/saunas, a pool, a hot tub, a large indoor lounge area and a few loungers outside. The loungers outside were in great demand when the weather was nice, even though there was no shade. The breakfast was good and sufficient. There is a large free parking lot across the street as well as a small bus and train station. We had a really nice time and we really liked the hotel. The breakfast selection could be a bit larger and more varied.

Despite the great wellness and excellent restaurant, a very bad experience! I am critical but never unreasonable, but here the customer is being fooled. The staff is downright unsympathetic (except for the gentleman at breakfast). And the room did not match the photos presented when booking, but not at all! It was a glorified (large) hall closet with a balcony door through which the only outside light came through and opened onto a 2 square meter area classified by the hotelier as a balcony. Where there could only be one chair. And where you looked out onto the neighbors' balcony. (See photos) There were two of us, so it was a bit of a change. There was also only 1 chair in the room itself. When I indicated that I thought this was a bad thing, in addition to bad excuses, I also had to deal with a receptionist who laughed at me. The facilities indicated when booking were also not available. There was no sofa and no seating in the room. Which was explicitly stated and was indeed present in all rooms in the photos that were presented when making the reservation. In short, not worthy of a four star hotel. And highly recommended. FOLLOW-UP: The hotelier thought it was necessary and smart to come up with just as bad excuses as his reception employee in his first (since deleted) response. I want to reply to him! The other room offered also did not have the sofa and seating as promised in the room facilities! But even worse, his housekeeping staff pointed out to us that the bed in the room offered as an alternative was bad! Which together was reason to reject the offer. What is unworthy of a four star hotel is the way in which the complaint was dealt with. Once again it's not what it seems!

Outdated hotel with a musty smelling room where, as a single person, I had a double room for which I had to pay €100 extra. The bed was double, but only one bed was covered, the other was empty, so uncomfortable. Showered four times with 1 towel, then housekeeping came. The manager was not happy with my previous comment that I had posted and came into the restaurant to get a story where he was standing and I was sitting. This is not an equal discussion so I have withdrawn myself from this situation and will not respond further. Annoying experience because the staff in the restaurant was super nice and the food was good for a hotel. The town itself is nothing and is not in Bad Laapsche itself as you might think according to the brochure. Not recommended and quite pricey for a mediocre experience.

Hotel along a main road with a maze and many stairs to the rooms. Very scary old elevator that makes a lot of noise. Rooms are dated, restaurant is very nicely decorated. Breakfast isn't much, I've had better ones and for less money. Long live traveling alone.....not always paying the top price to end up in the back somewhere.

A very nice hotel to relax. The staff is very friendly. The wellness area is strikingly beautiful, designed with great attention to detail. It is advisable to book massages when reserving your room. The dinner in the form of a menu is excellent, and the apple pie is highly recommended. In the case of food intolerances, all it takes is a single word to the staff and on the following days this was taken into account in all dishes without having to be pointed out. Very good! We affectionately named the hotel the “little labyrinth”. A few steps in the house have to be climbed until an elevator can be reached. This house is not particularly suitable for wheelchair users. The location is central, there is a small train station next to the hotel. In the house you don't notice any train traffic. A hike to Bad Laasphe to eat an ice cream there and then take the train back and get off directly in front of the hotel is very worthwhile. The castle in Bad Berleburg is also well worth seeing. Delicious cakes and coffee are available in the lovingly furnished Café Back in the Day. We felt very comfortable in the Landhaus Doerr!

Unplanned stranding here due to constant rain on a bike tour from the source of the Lahn. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful and helped me with my wet things. After a snack and a pot of coffee, I was able to continue cycling to Marburg. I would be happy to come back sometime!

The wellness weekend The short stay (end of April) was fine. We were here to relax from everyday life. First impression, you first have to walk up the stairs with your luggage to get to reception and then to the elevator. The room was big enough, but the bed was unfortunately uncomfortable. The wellness area was rather small, but was fine. It was very warm in the relaxation area and you weren't allowed to open a window to get some air. Hydrojet (which was included in the offer) was out of service that day. The massage was good. The food in the restaurant was very tasty. The staff was nice.

Hello. If you want to enjoy friendliness, great service, clean rooms and very good food, this is the right place for you. The wellness area leaves nothing to be desired. Changes in orders (allergy sufferers) are taken into account in the restaurant. Parking spaces are free and there are enough available. The prices are in Hotel for food and drinks are okay. The boss is also convincing. He comes to the table during meals and always has kind words for his guests. We will most likely visit this hotel again.

An all-round successful relaxation and wellness holiday. If you just want to switch off, relax and go cycling or hiking, this is an ideal place. Room, room size, room facilities and cleanliness very good. Service/staff at reception, in the restaurant and in the wellness area were very good, helpful and friendly. Booking massages is easy and uncomplicated. Massage in itself outstanding. Wellness area well equipped. Pool, relaxation area and sauna area clean and good. Food and drink very tasty. Price/performance OK

Wellness area was only partially available, bad smell. Room by the elevator, noise pollution. Breakfast OK, dinner excellent. Staff very friendly.

Very friendly boss and well-trained, nice employees. Hotel room with a balcony, very cold to the feet and the bathroom very small, the shower is not for larger people. Room facing the main street/train station. Delicious breakfast, dinner at a higher price. Great swimming pool with a very nice sauna area. Unfortunately the shower gels were not refilled on Fri/Sat. Room service every 2 days, arrived on Friday and until Sunday so no one checked anything or made the beds. The normal price is too high for me, but I booked via an app and it was good for that. Please be sure to check or sort out the bathrobes. My wife's had e.g. B. Holes, washed out and the belts frayed.

Unfortunately I have to deduct stars for the service. 1. There is no free water in the sauna area (no longer up to date compared to the competition) 2. The juice bar was not refilled with tea, even after multiple requests. Otherwise (as the saying goes) they always tried hard. The food was really very good. Since the hotel is very winding due to decades of renovation work, I recommend an information brochure with a map. I would still book it again for a relaxing weekend and take a drinking cup with me 😂

We stayed at the Landhotel Doerr from December 3rd to December 7th, 2023. Consistently friendly from the greeting to the farewell. Staff very attentive. The restaurant staff was great, especially the two gentlemen who were always on their toes. Extra requests were addressed without any ifs and buts. Hotel overall very clean and well maintained. It would have been 5* if there had been a kettle and coffee machine in the room. There was also no option to hang a “do not disturb” sign. So 4.5*

The Hotel Dörr is a dream to relax and unwind. I've been there 7 times this year with my girlfriend. Friendly staff, great rooms, excellent food. We are always happy to be there again. Our second home. We're going again in July. We're really looking forward to it. See you soon dear team.

Quaint hotel with an upscale restaurant. The hotel is in a very well-maintained condition. In my opinion, the rooms could use a new touch. It's relatively dark. But the restaurant really impressed me. Not only was the staff very helpful, but the food was also delicious and beautifully prepared.

The Romantik Hotel invites you to relax. It is relatively quiet without being out of the way. Even when viewed from the outside, the hotel is an eye-catcher and invites you to linger.

Four of us were very happy with the room size and cleanliness, the friendly and accommodating service, the wellness area and the location. There’s even a train stop right across the street and lots of parking. The hotel is on a main road but it isn’t loud and the hotel is close to places we wanted to walk, including a walk to a small herd of Bison & Wisent. One of the mattresses was a bit worn but they fixed the problem to our satisfaction. The wellness area had many different areas to relax and be with friends. We definitely would stay here again.

Went there with friends for the weekend and we were completely satisfied. Great service, very good cuisine. The wellness area is very nice.

We stayed in this hotel for one night because we wanted to treat ourselves to a break from everyday life as a couple. Unfortunately there was more stress than relaxation. We wanted to eat in the restaurant in the evening. Since we were downstairs before 6 p.m., we were asked to sit in the room as preparations still had to be made. We then ordered a drink (which took a long time) and realized relatively quickly that there probably wouldn't be enough space for all the guests. When we asked the waiter that we would also like to eat, the answer was yes, just stay seated. You can also eat here. After that, nothing more happened. At some point I asked for a drinks menu and this also took ages to arrive. Nobody was interested in us anymore. After another while, we left the restaurant annoyed. We tried to reach the reception from the room. There was an announcement that the reception would only be open until 8 p.m.! FYI IT WAS 7:15 PM. End of song: we ordered food and drinks through Lieferando so that at least we didn't have to go to sleep on an empty stomach. When we checked out we reported on our disastrous evening and were offered a €10 discount as compensation. Not the world but better than nothing. But now the cherry on top, instead of charging us the €10, the money was added on top. Unfortunately, we only noticed it at home when we took a closer look at the bill. The weekend was more stressful than relaxing for us. Unfortunately, we cannot recommend this hotel and will not come here again.

The hotel is good. The beds are very soft. The paths in the hotel are a bit confusing. What we missed a bit was that you weren't offered any drinks in the wellness area. What was also missing was that you couldn't make coffee or tea in the room. The staff was very friendly.

Beautiful, idyllic country hotel with an incredible wellness area. A visit/stay is recommended. The kitchen/restaurant is also recommended. Here we cook with a lot of love and inventiveness. The palate and the eye (as you know, you eat with you) will definitely be happy! Gladly 5 stars, the selection doesn't offer more...

The ambience, the dinner and the newly renovated rooms are recommended without reservation. The staff is great, very friendly, helpful and accommodating!

Wunderschönes Hotel, toller Service und richtig gutes Essen. Wirklich jeder ist super freundlich. Der Wellnessbereich bietet viel Abwechslung. Ich bin super erholt heim gefahren 🤗 Vielen Dank für den tollen Urlaub. Zu Fuß gibt es 2/3 Geschäfte also eine ruhige Umgebung.

Wir hatten das "beste Freundinnen" Paket gebucht und hatten wirklich einen phantastischen Aufenthalt und uns rundum wohlgefühlt. Die Zimmer waren sehr sauber und der Service fabelhaft,alle sehr freundlich und aufmerksam. Der Wellnessbereich ist riesig und lädt wirklich zum Verweilen an. Der Whirlpool war defekt ,aber das kann überall passieren,mindert daher nicht den schönen Aufenthalt. Wir hatten sogar noch einen Wellness-Teller mit im Angebot ,super lecker ,auch das Abendessen war sehr lecker sowie auch das Frühstück,alles da ,was man braucht. Uns hat es an nichts gefehlt,auch ein Kompliment zur Massage, wir waren danach tiefenentspannt ,danke auch dafür.Kurz gesagt ,wir kommen wieder :-)

Schönes Wellness Hotel Zimmer von uns recht Großzügig gestaltet . Die Speisekarte ist sehr übersichtlich . Eine starke Verbesserung wäre z.b. beim Steak nicht jede einzelne Zutat mit ca 5 Euro zu berechnen. Wer das nicht möchte bekommt einfach nur Steak

Ein toller Ort, um ein Wochenende zu zweit eine Auszeit zu nehmen. Wir hatten ein schönes, großes Komfortzimmer mit Balkon und Aussicht in unmittelbarer Nähe zum Wellnessbereich (was super war, um direkt morgens ins gut beheizte Schwimmbecken zu springen). Frühstück vollkommen in Ordnung, das Abendessen (wir hatten das 4-Gänge Menü) überragend! Einen Abzug in der B-Note gibt es für den gesperrten (defekten) Whirlpool und die geschlossene Außensauna (wegen Rutschgefahr!? Dabei ist die Sauna doch am besten, wenn es draußen knackig kalt und sogar verschneit ist!?), denn dadurch wurden die Möglichkeiten im Spa-Bereich „überschaubar“. Dennoch: Empfehlung!

Sehr rustikal, etwas älter, aber in gutem Zustand. Die Organisation ist insgesamt verbesserungsfähig (unsere Buchung war beim Empfang nicht hinterlegt, wir haben trotz Reservierung am 2. Abend nicht im Restaurant essen können, etc.). Am ersten Abend könnten wir aber dort essen und das Essen war wirklich sehr gut.

Alles in allem ein sauber gut geführtes Hotel auf einem hohen Niveau. Die Service Bereitschaft ist sehr hoch, selbst wenn nichts als 3 Gänge Menü für mich in Frage gekommen ist. Alles sehr freundschaftlich, haben uns dort wohlgefühlt. Hier nun leider die Kehrseite der Medaille, Whirlpool defekt, Massage Düse im Pool defekt, Sole wurde ersetzt durch Massage Zimmer. Die Luft im Sauna Bereich sehr schlecht, Aroma Grotte ohne Aroma. Fußbad im Ruhe Bereich ohne Füllung. Ansonsten lädt es zum Entspannen auf jedenfall ein. Ein habe ich noch, reichhaltiges Frühstück, naja...... es ist zwar was da, es ist gut aber nicht reichhaltiges Frühstück. Qualität was da ist, ist super und schmeckte auch. Tolle Bauweise das Hotel, über 3 Ebenen verbunden, glaube einzigartig. Vielleicht mal wieder.

Doskonały, romantyczny hotelik z mega dobrym jedzeniem. Polecam jako alternatywę na spędzenie weekendu. Mały minus za to, że czynna tylko jedna sauna , ale w sumie wystarczyło! Miejsce warte polecenia!

Es war ein sehr schönes verlängertes Wochenende! Das Hotel lässt keine Wünsche offen. Tolles Schwimmbad, klasse Küche sehr emsiges Personal und ein überaus freundlicher und immer ein anspreschbarer Direktor! Um abzuschalten ein toller Ort!

Zimmer war top. Hatten kleine "Suite". Putzfrau sollte regelmäßig das Wasser in der Dusche laufen lassen, damit man beim Betreten nicht vom faulen Eier Geruch erschlagen wird. Sehr freundliches, hilfsbereites und zuvorkommendes Service wie auch Rezeptions Personal. Kommen gerne wieder 😊

Sehr erholsame Tage mit Aufenthalt in der Sauna und Schwimmbad. Das absolute Highlight ist das Abendessen in Form von 4 Gängen. Wir werden im Frühling wiederkommen, das steht fest!ⁿ

Gut, dass wir alle negativen Rezession ignoriert haben und trotzdem gebucht haben, denn so schöne 4 Tage Wellness hatten wir bisher noch nicht. Wer hier meckert hatte entweder vorher nur Luxus, oder nörgelt ständig über alles. Wellness und Ruhe heißt…abschalten..Punkt… Der Wellness Bereich über 2 Etagen war für uns so groß, dass wir nicht alles nutzen konnten. Die großzügigen Esszeiten zum Frühstücks Büfett oder 3 Gänge Menü waren für uns einzigartig, mehr als üblich vorhanden, sehr reichhaltig, Sonderwünsche oder Nachschläge waren inbegriffen. Das Service Personal ist sehr aufmerksam und behilflich, je nach Menge der Gäste benötigt es etwas Zeit….. Sollte es etwas länger dauern…..keine Sorge, dem Chef Kellner entgeht nichts, er steht vor dir und erfüllt dir jeden Wunsch. Das einzige Manko wäre für uns, Mittags die Speisekarte könnte auch mal Varianten mit Pommes und Wurst oder Schnitzel vertragen. Viele Grüße

Ein sehr schön gelegenes Hotel. Der Service ist, abgesehen von allgemeinen bekannten Kräftemangel im Service, sehr bemüht. Tolle Leistung 👍. Die großzügig angelegte Saunalandschaft ist kaum zu überbieten, das Schwimmbad allerdings für meinen Geschmack etwas zu warm. Ansonsten kann ich das Hotel nur empfehlen!

Wir waren für 3 Übernachtungen im Hotel mit Halbpension ( abends 4 Gänge Menü) in einem Landhauszimmer mit Balkon. Das Zimmer war sehr gross, grosses bequemes Bett, geräumiges Bad mit Wannendusche, sehr schöner Balkon mit Aussicht. Vermisst haben wir nur einen Wasserkocher. Insgesamt ein sehr schöner Aufenthalt. Sehr gutes und reichhaltiges Frühstück,  Top Abendessen! Und in allen Bereichen sehr freundliches und kompetentes Personal.  Sauna und Schwimmbad relativ gross, genügend Ruheflächen, am Wochenenden natürlich immer voll. Auch die Wellness/Massage Anwendungen sind zu empfehlen. Kostenlose Parkplätze am Haus. Lage in Bad Laasphe Feudingen. Traditions Hotel öfters erweitert auf mehreren Etagen und Anbauten, dadurch sehr verwinkelt. Rustikaler Bau- und Einrichtungs Stil mit viel Holz, muss man mögen, hat aber Atmosphäre.  Wir würden wiederkommen. Von uns eine Empfehlung für einen entspannten und genussvollen Urlaub.

Schönes Hotel. Zur Tagung dort gewesen. Multi-Media Ausstattung war vorhanden. Guter Service und sehr gutes Essen.

Etwas älteres Gasthaus, was jedoch durchaus besticht. Es erinnerte mich, gerade durch den mit Herzblut wirkenden Geschäftsführer, an "Dirty Dancing" und "Max Kellerman". Wir hatten ein vollkommenes Wellnesswochenende mit hervorragenden Essen und sehr aufmerksamen Service. Fazit: perfekte Auszeit ****

The venison ragout with red cabbage was excellent. The service and facility was equally good. It paired marvelously with a Keith Sankt Laurent. The white chocolate mousse was also delicious. It was a great meal.

Wir hatten ein Landhauszimmer gebucht. Es war groß und rustikal eingerichtet, was aber durchaus originell war. Es hatte ein großes Bad mit zwei Waschbecken. Toll war auch der Balkon, man hatte einen Blick über das Dorf Feudingen und das Lahntal. Mit dem Zimmer waren wir sehr zufrieden. Etwas von Nachteil war, dass die Balkone der Zimmer nebeneinander liegen, so dass man direkt mit dem Nachbarn „kommunizieren“ konnte/musste, ob man wollte oder nicht. Wenn diese auch noch rauchen und der Qualm ins eigene Zimmer zieht, ist der Spaß dann nicht mehr so groß. Es wäre schön, wenn in Hotels endlich ein komplettes Rauchverbot eingeführt wurde. Rauchen belästigt so dermaßen und ist auch im Passivmodus absolut schädlich, es lässt sich nicht nachvollziehen warum es überhaupt noch erlaubt ist. Der Wellness-Bereich ist toll. Zwar total kitschig, aber eine große Anzahl an Saunen, auch zwei Außensaunen. Im Sommer sind sinnvollerweise nicht alle an, aber wenn man wünscht, kann man weitere welche Anheizen lassen. Das Schwimmbecken ist zwar nicht riesig, reicht aber, um ein paar Bahnen zu schwimmen. Es ist allerdings nur indoor, aber es kühlt trotzdem sehr schön ab. Einen Whirlpool gibt es auch. Für den Wellness-Bereich lohnt sich ein Aufenthalt. Zum Restaurant: Das Frühstück war gut, nichts super originelles, aber solide und reichhaltig. Die Speisekarte für abends lässt allerdings zu wünschen übrig und führt zu deutlichem Punktabzug. Es gibt nur ein einziges vegetarisches Gericht und das ist auch noch etwas lieblos zubereitet. Veganer haben gar nichts zu lachen. Es gibt zwei – wirklich gute – Fischgerichte (Dorade und Buntbarsch), also Seefische, aber leider keine Forelle, was doch eigentlich nahe liegen sollte. Dafür gibt es sehr viele Fleischgerichte, vor allem Steak, was überhaupt nicht mehr zeitgemäß ist. Der Wellness-Teller soll die Empfehlung des Hauses sein. Was an einem Putenmedallion und einem Schweinefilet Wellness sein soll, ist nicht ganz verständlich. Der Salat mit Joghurtdressing ja, aber die Fleischwahl ist so mit das ungesündeste was man essen kann. Es mag sein, dass in der Region nicht viel vegetarisch gegessen wird, aber Städter haben sich durchaus umgestellt und erwarten ein gutes und vielfältiges vegetarisch/veganer Angebot. Echte Wellness halt. Vom Hotel aus kann man verschiedene Wandertouren starten, die Lage ist also sehr günstig und das Dorf ist auch ganz nett. Es gibt dort allerdings zum Essen gehen nicht wirklich Alternativen.
