Road Stop Wuppertal in Sprockhövel

Ich war mit meiner Familie dort essen, weil ich das Restarant seit vielen Jahren zum Geburtstag besuche. Diesmal war es leider nicht mehr so gut wie früher. Als Vorspeisen hatten wir Süßkartoffelpommes, normale Pommes und Twisted Potatofries. Dazu verschiedene Dips. Vorspeise war im Großen und Ganzen sehr gut. Als Hauptspeise gab es Burger und Sparerips. Die Sparerips waren sehr zart und sind fast von alleine vom Knochen abgefallen. Von den Burgern war ich sehr enttäuscht. Ich hatte einen Kentucky Ranche Burger. Wenn man den Burger aufgeschnitten hat, hat man am Fleisch schon gesehen, dass dieses Patty nicht frisch ist. Als ich ein Biss vom Burger genommen habe, hat man dies leider auch geschmeckt. Ich war sehr enttäuscht, weil ich das so nicht kenne. War für mich leider der letzte Besuch in diesem Restaurant.

I really like the location, but the service is not good and the quality of the food is rather poor. We were a large birthday group and in 80% of the cases the food was cold and the quality was simply poor. The steaks were cold, when I ordered a jacket potato with sour cream, a soup made from sour cream came and a small potato was found in it. When I wanted this corrected, I was told that I had to order again and also pay. This is not a service! When the weather is good in August, only half of the tables are served outside and the playground is dingy. The prices for the poor food were a disgrace. It's a shame because the location with a Wild West theme is really cool. There has to be someone who has leadership, then it could be something again! I can't say anything about the hotel.

The room was practical for one night, simply kept, a clean bathroom and a comfortable bed. If you like themed rooms, you'll get your money's worth here. As mentioned when booking, check-in is only possible from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. Accordingly, we interrupted our evening and went back to the hotel to get the key. However, it was not a physical key, but two codes (hotel access and room). We don't understand why we had to go back to the hotel specifically for this. The codes could have been sent to us after 4 p.m. via email, WhatsApp, SMS...

We always like to eat there, but only if we order in advance. It's always full there...

I had a delicious burger. As an American Expat it's so nice to find someplace that is like home. They even had a sign from the Interstate Highway that passes by my Michigan home! Excellent menu options and I look forward to going here often.

We were there for the first time today. There is enough parking space and we easily got a table even without a reservation. The young man in service lives his job and is very attentive. We were able to order drinks straight away and they came very quickly. We needed some time to choose our food. The waiting time after ordering was completely fine, all the food came at the same time. Steak medium plus was perfect three times. The lemon cheesecake was great. It is neither cheap nor cheap. But inexpensive. Namely worth its price. Quality just costs a little more. I also really like the iced tea and the way it is produced.

This time we went to the Road Stop in Wuppertal for a book reading with the Crime Cops 👮🚨. A separate room is used for this so that you can listen to the reading in peace. We really had a lot of fun here 👍 But of course we ate something there beforehand. I had a tasty vegan burger and curly fries and my two companions each had a vegetarian version. The restaurant was very busy, even though it was the middle of the week. The service staff were all very nice and helpful and the three of us really enjoyed the burgers. The berry-mint tea we ordered was also good. The toilet facility was also clean, but a faucet was loose, a soap dispenser was completely empty and a hand basin was broken. This should be repaired. But otherwise it was a nice evening.

The restaurant has plenty of parking space and is easy to reach. I was here a while ago and I wasn't impressed by the service. It was significantly better on our second visit, but in my opinion it doesn't reflect the value for money. Fries are not included with the burgers and must be ordered separately. Of the three burgers, two weren't really warm and the smash burger was super greasy, but hot. Food is always a matter of taste, but mine is not met here. The lemonade is also not tasty and bland. Water, ice cubes, syrup and mango pieces that you can fish with a fork. It's nicely decorated and themed and the service is great, but it's the last time I've been here.

Worst restaurant experience in a long time. Unsuitable for pregnant women. Long waiting times (a bit strange for fast food). Burger bun inside with lots of black spots that had to be scraped off. A smashed burger that was neither smashed nor fried crispy with unmelted cheese... And a portion of potatoes that was ridiculous for the price (9 small half triplets of mini potatoes for 5 euros), which were also burnt. The kitchen's answer: we always do it like this and we don't do it again... What a service 😉 and simply outrageous in times of awareness about carcinogenic substances. Ideal for pregnant women who have had to go without their food today. Never again and one star is too many. Edit: Apparently that was too much sarcasm. It was not written here that pregnant women cannot find food on the menu. But if the kitchen refuses to remake burnt food (which should never happen, but is even worse with pregnant women than it already is), then unfortunately you go home without food. There's no point in basically having items on the map...

Expectations should not be set too high. Food was ok but you can tell that all the dishes are convenience food.

I was at the Road Stop American Diner on September 29th at 3:30 p.m. The atmosphere was nice and there were a lot of details in the decor, however it was quite dark and quite loud inside, which made the stay a little less pleasant. The long wait was particularly annoying - it took over 30 minutes to get my first drink. Unfortunately, the prices on the menu surprised me very much. For a 0.4 soda 6 euros, the Yosemite Volcano Burger for 19 euros and a portion of sweet potato fries for 7 euros - I thought that was extremely overpriced. Although the burger tasted good, it was definitely not worth 19 euros. The sweet potato fries were excellent, but the portion was far too large as a side dish. Half for half the price would have done it too. The lemonade was mostly ice cubes with a few frozen fruits - in my opinion that doesn't justify 6 euros. Overall, the food was tasty, but nothing about this visit justified the 32 euros I paid for it. For 25 I would have said everything was fine but unfortunately I won't be coming back.

Food was great, unfortunately it took a long time.

We were there for the children's birthday party. Food was good, but not outstanding. Nachos were actually just drowned in ketchup and the cheese wasn't completely melted. Children still enjoyed it

I can recommend Road Stop Wuppertal, but the roadstop in Mettmann and Münster are a lot better. This one is pretty nice, but I didn't look for attention to detail here. There are a few small, beautifully arranged decorations, but they cannot be compared with the other roadstops. The burgers are of course great. The service was nice. But unfortunately it seemed kind of listless.

I'll make it short, The service is friendly and nice, the food is exactly what you expect, and the prices are fair! BUT: Unfortunately the waiting time isn't possible at all....We waited an hour for our food.....and the shop wasn't really full! That needs to be improved, otherwise everything is fine.

Unfortunately we had to wait a long time for the food! 1.5 hours. There was no indication of a long waiting time or even an apology from the staff. Service looks different! The prices are overall quite high.

I can't say anything about the rooms, I only had food at the Road Stop. After I was very enthusiastic about the ambience - I would give it five big stars - I turned my attention to the menu. And I was overwhelmed by the many delicious things that were or are listed there. I finally decided on the Vulcano Yosemity Burger. I still dream about this burger and will and have to eat it again and completely piss myself off while eating it. I usually drink beer when I eat, but I was driving and ordered a Coke. Unfortunately it was very watery. It's a real shame. No offense, but next time someone else will drive. And I'll just drink beer again! Keep it up...... Cornelius Becker

I was at the Roadstop Wuppertal with my girlfriend today and I was thrilled once again! The reservation for two people went smoothly online, and even though we arrived 5 minutes early, we were friendly escorted through the busy restaurant to our table. The waitress was super nice and took our order after just 2 minutes. The food actually arrived in just 10 minutes – incredibly fast! I've been here many times, but today the spare ribs were even more delicious than usual. Kudos to the kitchen! We’re always happy to come back to you 😊

Description of the road stop Wuppertal Ambiance and service tip top Unfortunately, there is an increasing number of raging, screaming, running children and yapping mutts - this is not the ambience that you want as a family or as a couple.

You have to look for the entrance first. Then you wait until someone takes pity on noticing you. From this point on the staff is very friendly. On the menu there are run-of-the-mill burgers with imaginative names, which probably justify the inflated prices of the burgers. Not for me. There are much better ones out there.

Rarely have I waited so long for food. If you're hungry, this is the wrong place - it takes just under 80 minutes. There was also no insight from anyone, I will never visit this restaurant again. By the way, the Smash Burger is not a Smash Burger but a normal one, nothing is smashed at all. Absolute impudence. My wife's verdict: Unfortunately we waited 80 minutes for food despite asking, even though there were still plenty of seats available.

We waited almost 2 hours for the food, it was delicious, but after the wait we probably won't go there again. The service was very friendly and it was really unpleasant that the organization didn't work at all. Too bad

Unfortunately we, 12 people, were very disappointed. The food only came after almost 2 hours, which seems to be the rule, but the fact that all the food was cold, except for the fries, is not professional and could be done better. The young staff was friendly and probably a bit overwhelmed. Conclusion: Never again... there are better restaurants for 30 euros per person... it's a shame...

Fantastic experience at the Roadstop Wuppertal I had the pleasure of visiting Roadstop Wuppertal recently and I have to say it was an absolutely fantastic experience! From the moment we entered the restaurant we were impressed by the unique and welcoming atmosphere. The rustic yet modern design combined with the comfortable seating creates an ambience that is perfect for a relaxed dinner with friends or family. However, the highlight of our visit was undoubtedly the food. The menu offers a wide selection of American classics, and every bite was a delight. We started with the crispy nachos, which were served with plenty of cheese, jalapeños and a delicious salsa. For my main course I chose the BBQ Bacon Burger, which was simply incredible - juicy, grilled to perfection and topped with a delicious combination of smoky bacon and tangy BBQ sauce. The side dishes, particularly the crispy fries and coleslaw, were also excellent. My companion chose the rib-eye steak, and it was cooked to perfection - tender, juicy and full of flavor. The portions were generous and we enjoyed every minute of our meal. Finally, we couldn't resist and ordered the New York Cheesecake, which was just as delicious as it looked. New favorite restaurant! The service was friendly and attentive without being intrusive and contributed to a thoroughly enjoyable evening. I can only warmly recommend the Roadstop Wuppertal – everything is just right here! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

We got a table with five people at very short notice and were able to choose whether we wanted to sit outside or inside. The restaurant was very clean, all the employees seemed friendly, the drink order was taken quickly and brought to the table very quickly. The food also came relatively quickly despite there being a lot of people in the restaurant. The food was impeccable and the price-performance ratio is great! The toilets are also clean and the smell is good. Everything is great! Gladly again.

I can't say anything about the hotel. Always just eat there. Very tasty, nice young service staff, parking spaces on site and you also have the option to sit outside. I really like it there.

Unfortunately not worth a visit. Completely disorganized kitchen that seems to choose randomly from the receipts. Waiting for 1.5 hours, at least 3 tables that were occupied after us received food. That was enough... Waiting time is one thing, but please do it in order! And even after asking twice, no one could say when our food might come.

For the prices quoted, the waiting time is a complete disgrace. When we arrived we were told we would have to wait 45 minutes. After 2 hours we still had no food and no information from the staff. That's not how you treat customers. If you are so poorly staffed, you have to reduce the number of tables, especially since there is no table service outside. You have to get your own drinks at the bar. Our ordered food was only brought after we asked several times. Unfortunately cold and the wrong one. After another complaint, we got the money back for a dish, but we went home with sad children. We will definitely not be coming back and would advise against visiting here!

The three of us were there today, Sunday August 18th, 2024, to celebrate my colleague's birthday. The table was reserved for 7:15 p.m., but we got there a little earlier and were allowed to sit down. The appetizer (nachos) didn't arrive until an hour after I ordered. We left the restaurant at 9:15 p.m. We had to pay €44.25 for the drinks and the nachos, without any accommodation from the staff. This is simply outrageous and disrespectful. We ended up celebrating my colleague's birthday at McDonald's. It was the first and last time I visited this restaurant. I understand the longer waiting times, but not the fact that we had to constantly actively approach the staff to ask about our food. The absolute highlight was that there was no apology, no discount was offered and other guests who had definitely arrived after us received their food much earlier. The service on site is an absolute disaster. PS we weren't informed beforehand that it would take longer then we wouldn't have stayed there in the first place.

Spontaneously saddled up the horses and rode to the road stop. A great motorcyclist friendly location. Today we celebrated a burger with cheese overflow, really delicious. The employees are friendly and accommodating. The price-performance ratio is reasonable. The ambience of the restaurant is similar to American saloons, well done... Plenty of parking space for motorcycles in front of the saloon. All in all a successful stay. This definitely won't be the last visit, we'll be back.

This review summarizes the hotel and restaurant because there is no other way. The Resturant; One star deducted because the food in the restaurant is served comparatively slowly (including drinks). Some people may not care, but when you want to eat something quickly it's stupid if the main course and starter are brought together. I deducted the second star because sometimes you can't get a glass with ice cubes. Three stars [🌟🌟🌟] The hotel. The hotel is good, the only thing I'm upset about is the slow WiFi, because then I have to, for example. Stream Netflix, YouTube and co via my mobile data. Instead there is a television. Four stars [🌟🌟🌟🌟]

We ordered a drink and then wanted to order food, although the prices are quite high and then had to wait an hour and a half for the food, which we weren't told was very friendly. Wir waren an einem sehr schönen Sommerabend auf der Terrasse im roadstop. Es war sehr voll aber es gab noch jede Menge Sonnenplätze. Es war ein rundherum zufriedenstellender Gesamteindruck - der Service war exzellent und aufmerksam, es wurde nachgefragt, ob es schmeckt, keine Wartezeiten, der Burger war kross, heiss, saftig und mega lecker (es gibt eine neue Variante "smashed patty", die auch preislich abdolut vertretbar ist.) Ansonsten hatten wir eine Bowl mit einem sehr leckeren Salat. Die Soße war auch hervorragend . Ambiente wie immer im roadstop toll, sehr zu empfehlen!

Very disappointing compared to before. The prices are outrageously high considering that my burger was served cold and was simply incredibly dry. When the waitress was informed about this, she wasn't impressed and said she couldn't do anything about it! Simply outrageous. Definitely our last visit.

Well, praise really has to be given now. Because the service at the roadstop is really great. The waitresses are extremely friendly and very attentive. The food is really very tasty. You should budget around €45 per person including a tip. You have the option of reserving a table online, which I find extremely practical. Food and drink really very good! All in all, really great, nice location and cozy. Highly recommended, we like to come there with friends. Keep it up ;)

We were incredibly amazed at how beautiful this place is. Really great facility, your eyes have a lot to look at. There is a large beer garden outside with a playground for the little ones. Evening with long sunshine. We enjoyed the food and drink very much, there should be something for every taste. Whether meat or vegetarian, no problem. The service was always cheerful and attentive. The journey is worth it, we felt very comfortable and would love to come back. Whether by car or bike, no problem. Thanks to the great team at the Road Stop.

It's a shame that I've just been told that the ticket office will be closed at 9:50 p.m. for the day, even though it's open until 10 p.m. It's also a shame that the employee didn't even come to reception to make this statement, but rather the conversation took place shouting loudly from the entrance to the other side of the room. I would have liked to have bought a voucher for 150 euros... Then not, or just across the street.

It was a lovely evening in the restaurant, the food was delicious, my husband had a rump steak with pepper sauce, that was just great, highly recommended, the service was also very friendly.

Exceptional...but the food - nothing special

Gestern leider durchgefallen ! 2 Personen um 16.30 Uhr dort gewesen - 5 Minuten am Desk gestanden bis eine unfreundliche Dame kam. Sicher waren unten noch 10 Tische frei. Oben waren alle Tische frei. Konnte uns nur den „Katzentisch“ am Eingang anbieten. Sie merkte zwar, dass wir diesen Tisch absolut nicht wollten - der ist nämlich in einer komplett dunklen Ecke. So stelle ich mir meinen Samstags-Burger nicht vor. Aber sie wollte weiter mit uns nicht reden, den oder keinen - dann sind wir leider wieder gegangen - In Wuppertal gibt es ja ne Gott sei Dank noch mehrere gute Burger Bars. RoadStop Wuppertal nie wieder ! Immer wird sich dahinter versteckt - kein oder zu wenig Personal da.

Due to the location on a busy street, it may not be quite as quiet at times, but not annoyingly loud either. The rooms are iconically furnished, clean and cozy - but perhaps (sometimes) relatively small. The service is young and modern, everything is great!

The food was delicious, we were there with 4 people. The ambience is great but what really needs to be criticized is the room climate. Yes, and it's also reasonably priced (a bit too expensive).

We had to wait 56 minutes for our food in the self-service service. After a complaint there was a drink. The food was good. Still without a napkin. There was water in all the urinals. No more again.

Food was ok, it just took forever...and there were only 2 salads... The size of the Cola bottle (0.2 l) is also absurd...a size of 0.33 l would be nicer, given the price.

We ate here again yesterday for a long time. We managed to get a table without a reservation, even though it was quite full. Ordered around 6:30 p.m., the food arrived after about 40 minutes. 3 burgers with fries and 3 drinks for 83 euros. The food was good, but frankly we've had better burgers for significantly less money. I can't say anything about the hotel

Just a nice shop! Road Stop is probably just one of those places in Wuppertal where you should just go! Food is top but slightly over priced in my opinion (but I can understand that everything is very expensive at the moment) The team is super friendly and the kitchen is quick when possible, although mistakes sometimes happen that shouldn't happen😅 Cake incident on April 13, 2024🫡

The road stop is somewhat remote, but can still be easily reached by public transport. We had the pleasure of staying at Rock Villa. The room was spacious, clean and lovingly furnished. You just had to feel comfortable straight away - also because of the super nice service. We also ate in the restaurant on two evenings and were thrilled. If you like the American diner atmosphere and American style in general, you won't want to leave ;)

The large dining room ensures that it is always a little louder. But the food is great and there is a wide selection. If you can sit outside, you should. There is enough parking space unless it is completely full.

Well, we haven't been to the Wuppertal location for a while...but I have to say that the restaurant hasn't kept up with the times, apart from the prices. The food was probably convenience food. We had mozzarella sticks (to the point), Virginia French Fries (the worst tasting fries with toppings of my life) and wings/spare ribs (crispy, delicious tipi topi) You can see the prices in the photos. I really have to say that Road Stop unfortunately cannot keep up with competitors like Chillers in Bochum and Essen, as well as my local hero Foodforce 1 in Hilden... ... when I was allowed to pack up my leftovers myself, I knew that I wouldn't want to come back any time soon! My nostalgic heart is breaking a bit right now... I know times in gastronomy and the like are not easy. But Chillers and Foodforce show how much better food that is made with love tastes!

Stopped here on the way to Winterberg for burgers. Great atmosphere, American diner nostalgia. The food was good, pulled pork burger with loaded pulled pork fries. Good portions, did not leave hungry. Very friendly staff and good service.

So real enthusiasm looks different. We sat in the beautiful beer garden in great weather. The service was very nice and helpful. The chicken wings were prepared in the deep fryer, which I cannot understand in a grill restaurant. The burgers were large but the meat cracked unpleasantly when eating because there was probably cartilage in it. All in all, we paid quite a lot for too little taste.

Great hotel with incredibly unique rooms and great food! The service was also great. I just don't understand the appeal of an open shower. Who likes to mop half the bathroom afterwards? 😅
