Very good restaurant. The service is friendly and the location is beautiful. And most importantly, the price/performance ratio is absolutely right. Very, very tasty, with generous portions and high-quality food.

Anyone who pays €20 for pasta should at least get a warm and fresh meal.

I was there with my family and I have to say that the quality of the establishment is impressive. I received a warm welcome, excellent service, a lovely ambiance, and the food was delicious. I highly recommend it to anyone who appreciates a family atmosphere.

I recently ate at Zitos in Mannheim and I was absolutely thrilled! From the moment you enter, you immediately feel at home; the ambiance is modern, stylish, yet cozy. The staff were consistently friendly, attentive, and welcoming, without being intrusive. The food itself was absolutely top-notch and tasted simply outstanding. You can immediately tell that they use high-quality ingredients. I was particularly impressed by the variety on the menu, whether it was an appetizer, main course, or dessert; everything was consistently of a high standard. In short: A true insider tip in Mannheim that I can only recommend to everyone! I'm already looking forward to my next visit.

We were there yesterday with nine people. The ambiance was extremely appealing and pleasant. We felt at home. The staff was very friendly and efficient. I had pizza, which was really delicious. The other dishes were also well-received. There was nothing to complain about. The prices are mostly reasonable. You can also sit outside or in the courtyard; some guests were sitting outside. Conclusion: We were very satisfied and would like to thank you for the service and the pleasant stay. We will definitely come back.

The wait was too long. The food tasted absolutely disgusting. Barely edible and simply bland. The pizza tasted like it was bought at Lidl or Aldi and simply warmed up. We just wanted to find a fancy birthday meal and then we were so disappointed. The pasta was also terrible. The noodles were still hard and had hardly any seasoning. They were also swimming in oil. You couldn't even force the food down if you were hungry. Paid over €60 for nothing. Not recommended.

If you've ever wanted to know what disappointment looks like on a plate, you've come to the right place. It looked completely unappealing, and my pasta was hard, flavorless, and practically swimming in oil. The Margherita pizza was exactly like it came straight from the frozen section at the supermarket. Not even if you were really hungry could you handle this disgrace.

As an italian, this is not italian food. I don't understand if they have italians workers or not, i don't care. This place should be closed, they really don't know what is real italian food. The only italian thing is the title out of the restaurant, don't reccomend it.

In short... I was here with a private party. The food was ordered in advance, yet some people received their food earlier than others or not at all. My food was already lukewarm when it arrived at the table and cold shortly thereafter. It took an incredibly long time for the missing food to be delivered... I wouldn't want to eat here again

I've never given a meal just one star before – but unfortunately, I have no other choice here. We ordered a pizza tonno and spaghetti – both dishes were disappointing and barely edible. • The pizza was absolutely tasteless, the dough bland, the toppings seemed raw, and the onions were chopped far too coarsely. There was a complete lack of seasoning – neither the toppings nor the dough had any flavor. • The spaghetti was literally swimming in oil and also had zero flavor. It seemed as if they had precooked it for several portions – no love, no seasoning, simply careless. Given the prices, we definitely expected something better. Maybe they should take a look at what the competition is doing better. Conclusion: Taste, quality, and preparation – all disappointing. It's a shame, we were really looking forward to the meal.

They don't sell any alcohol, even though it's all over in the menu. Also they don't properly communicate that.. Careful when trying to order a cocktail and just getting mixed juice..

This was my first and definitely last visit to Zito's. The prices are completely inflated – especially considering the food tastes more like it's been reheated and stale. I would have expected much more for this price. Despite the restaurant being empty, the staff were noticeably pushy when ordering, as if they wanted to "get us through it quickly." Unfortunately, there was no trace of hospitality or atmosphere. The food was also clearly not prepared with any care; it was served without any taste or visual appeal. We absolutely do not recommend it. The value for money is simply not there.

We were there for the first time today. The service was very friendly and pleasant. The antipasti and salad plates were decent and plentiful. The pizza looked good, as did the spaghetti carbonara. The homemade lemonade was very refreshing.

I went there on May 30, 2025, with three other friends for drinks and dessert. My latte macchiato tasted rancid and stale, and half of the drink was just foam. My friend ordered a piece of cheesecake that looked like it came from the supermarket. The cake tasted absolutely awful—as if it had expired. It was like shoveling a dry spoonful of flour into your mouth. Of course, we sent the cake back. The server was very friendly and immediately took the cake back without argument—my friend didn't have to pay for it, of course. Still, at these prices, something like this simply shouldn't happen.

Not serving alcohol and lying to guests with excuses...that's not acceptable.

The food is a disaster, and so is the staff. We waited so long for our food that we wanted to get up. We weren't told right away that there was no alcohol. They told us that it wasn't available until we were seated at our table. Not recommended!

Very inviting entrance and dining area. The staff was very polite and kind to us. However, it must be said that the food was unfortunately not good. My wife had pasta with mushrooms, spinach, and cream sauce and was not satisfied, especially with the spinach and mushrooms (most likely frozen), and the sauce didn't taste like its name suggests. I had salad with chicken breast. The salad was very good, but the chicken was even worse. Unfortunately, it tasted like it had been defrosted in a hurry. An experience we would hate to repeat. Best wishes to the waitress who really tried very hard and also very politely accepted and passed on the criticism because the "boss" wasn't there.

Went there on a Friday evening and it was almost empty. That should have given us something to think about... The ambience was very nice but the staff (boss) was a bit rude, the pizza was a bunch of mush, the spinach on the pizza was just frozen spinach. I've eaten better ones 🫢

We went there for lunch with the children on a Saturday lunchtime. Our table was full of crumbs that no one wanted to remove. My wife and I each had an antipasti plate. The kids had a pizza to share! There are no children's meals. The pizza should be half and half salami and margherita. We also got black olives on the pizza (without having ordered them). On the antipasti plates there were stewed carrots (???), cold rosemary potatoes, medium black, on the large mixed plate there were two slices of salami and two slices of ham (smoked), as well as various types of vegetables in a very manageable quantity. I've never eaten smoked ham in Italy, but for a Black Forest it wasn't bad ;-). Given the price-performance ratio, we definitely won't be coming back.

Great, beautiful restaurant, everything new inside, in the passage, bar and a new, spaced-out restaurant part with chandeliers, pizzeria, the main restaurant is centrally located and offers space on 2 floors... one perhaps the largest restaurant or one of the largest hundreds of tables...

I was there for dinner the day before yesterday. I had pizza returned twice, the first was burnt and hard, the second was soggy and soft and not well done, I wanted to drink a glass of wine but at the moment they don't have any alcohol in the bar, water in a 2 liter bottle is totally overpriced.

Vollkatastrophe! Waren am Valentinstag mit Reservierung dort und hatten den schlechtesten Restaurantbesuch ever. Konnten gerade noch verhindern, dass wir (trotz reichlicher Alternativen) an der Eingangstür sitzen mussten, totale Geldmache mit der Ansage Vor-Haupt-und-Nachspeise ordern zu müssen, serviert wurde das Essen meist lauwarm, dafür aber das Dessert in der Mitte des Hauptgangs - und einen Wein oder Bier gab es auch nicht, da derzeit keine alkoholischen Getränke ausgeschenkt werden dürfen. Totale Abzocke, hab viele Leute vorab aufstehen und gehen sehen - einfach nicht hingehen! Der armen freundlichen Bedienung wünsche ich schnell einen anderen Job - das hat keine Zukunft!

Unfortunately our visit was disappointing. The restaurant had far too many seats, so there was hardly any space. Without prior notice, there was a set menu on Valentine's Day where you were forced to have a starter, main course and dessert. In addition, the starter and main course were served at the same time, which significantly affected the enjoyment. Our service was very friendly. It was not possible to order alcohol. Overall, the experience was unfortunately not satisfactory.

The two of us were there on Valentine's Day and had reserved a table. NOBODY had informed us that you HAVE to order three courses on Valentine's Day. The service was completely reorganized, the tables were far too close together, people received several courses at the same time and sometimes we waited forever. The drinks were not carbonated enough, the starter and dessert had an alcoholic aftertaste, even though the restaurant is not allowed to serve alcohol, the fresh strawberries on the tiramisu were jam and the starter was slightly burnt. Only the pizza was good. The other guests were also dissatisfied and didn't know anything about the three-course rule. We won't come anymore.

We went there for dinner on Valentine's Day. First we were forced to order a starter, main course and dessert… so far so good. When the bruschetta came with balsamic vinegar and my wife said that she couldn't tolerate balsamic vinegar, we were insulted. We should please let us know in advance. There was nothing about balsamic on the menu. I have no idea how we were supposed to let you know. For the main course we had the pasta with prawns and zucchini and the tagliatelle with salmon. Both were inedible. The noodles tasted like they were cooked 3 days ago, then warmed up and served. Disaster! We have never eaten such bad pasta and left the plates completely alone. The dessert was ok. We will never set foot in this store again. Zero organization, the staff is completely overwhelmed. The waiters walk around the store with the food and don't know which table to serve the food to. Absolute disaster and in a central location in Mannheim. NEVER AGAIN!

Wir haben uns schon gewundert, warum das italienische Lokal unmittelbar neben an ausgebucht war und im Zitos zahlreiche Plätze (3/4) frei waren. Die Gründe: unterdurchschnittliches Essen ( Pizza verbrannt, Nudeln lauwarm, Salat riesengroß aber nicht undefinierbarer Einheitssoße). Der Hit war, dass es keine alkoholischen Getränke (z.B. Wein) gibt, obwohl die auf der Karte stehen - man habe hierfür keine Konzession ! Das erfährt man aber erst bei Aufnahme der Bestellung. Zusammengefasst: ein Lokal, das keiner braucht und das mit Italien oder Little Italy in NY nichts zu tun hat. Definitiv keine Empfehlung

The restaurant advertises a 2 for 1 promotion through Ramazotti. However, the discount is not granted. The boss says he doesn't know anything about it. But he couldn't even tell us that in person. The waitress had to deliver the news.

Nothing special. Food was ok. Antipasti just out of a glass, didn't really look fresh. The waitress was bare-chested and tried desperately to communicate with us guests, but it didn't work because it led to an unpleasant conversation. In addition, the branch manager stared at us while we were eating. Expensive pizza by German standards. Price-performance ratio not suitable. No liquor license was the cherry on the cake.

There were three of us and the service was nice. The porcini mushroom truffle risotto was delicious, but the Margherita pizza tasted unsalted/very sweet and the tagliatelle al tartufo had hardly any taste of its own and was very dry, I really wouldn't recommend it. In general, I left the restaurant relatively dissatisfied. Maybe it was just a bad day, but I don't want to come back again.

Not recommended... The food didn't come even after more than an hour. When we observed the surrounding tables, we could see that others who were there before us didn't get their orders and even if they did, they were all separated for a long time or cold. After we asked the staff, it turned out that our dishes (only two!) hadn't even started cooking yet. Like others, we finally decided to leave the restaurant without eating anything... The staff seemed polite, if a little disinterested. The furniture was positive and the resulting atmosphere was fine. It would be nice if you could actually eat here.

Preis-Leistung stimmt nicht. Tagliatelle waren sehr weich, die Filetspitzen dazu waren sehr trocken und hatten deutliche Röstaromen. Der Römersalat war sehr kalt und hatte kaum Dressing. Getränke (eine große Flasche Mineralwasser) "gingen leider unter", wurden aber nach Reklamation nach nochmaligen 10 Minuten mit einer Entschuldigung serviert.

Once and never again. Four of us had something to eat there yesterday. The drinks were barely carbonated. For starters we ordered beef carpaccio. We were shocked, the meat seemed to have been sitting outside for hours, if not it was already spoiled. It had an absolutely strange taste, I don't need to mention the color of the meat (see picture). For the main course we ordered truffle pasta. The pasta was too cooked, all you could taste was pure cream, absolutely no seasoning and the truffles that were on it were really ridiculous. The tuna pizza was okay, but nothing special. We didn't eat the food. We wanted to complain to the boss about this - apparently he wasn't there. Overall, the location is decorated very nicely, but the food is a complete disaster. Price-performance equal to zero. The service is very friendly.

We were in the restaurant with a group of 8 adults and 3 children + baby. At the beginning it was said that there were no alcoholic drinks, the reason wasn't really explained, probably no more license to serve them. 3x truffle pasta that was just cream pasta, 1x cabonara that tasted better in MaggiFix, 1x tagiatelle with beef fillet tips that were burnt, fillet steak couldn't be tried because it was served last after everyone was finished and was therefore no longer accepted by us. To make matters worse, the herb butter was still wrapped in plastic. Starter not worth mentioning, calamari and pizza were okay. Service disaster even though nothing was going on. The issue was rude, every meal came in bursts, fries for the smallest child only after three requests for food for the adults. That can't happen here and is not a recommendation!

They can't serve alcohol due to the lack of license, again, as I've been reading for almost a year now. I asked for a starter and a second course which arrived together. Dish with burrata ok, dish with meat and chips a little less, meat very cooked and cold at the time of tasting.

The mix of styles of tables and chairs in the restaurant is wonderful. The gentleman who served us was very friendly, even though he was stressed. We got a table at short notice for a large group and were warmly welcomed. It was no problem to bring our dog, who also had enough space. Despite the stress, the friendly gentleman made us a large starter plate for everyone. Everyone enjoyed the food, we tried each other's dishes and were thrilled. Yes, the dishes are more expensive than at the usual Italian restaurant (a carpaccio for 19.50, - .. UFFZZ!!!) but here I consider where Zitos is located, because a shop of this size in the middle of the city center pays You'll definitely have to pay a lot of rent, which will have to be collected again. You have to decide for yourself whether you want to pay or not. You can view the menu and prices online and decide beforehand before complaining afterwards. What bothers me now in retrospect, but only because I had to read it here - I would have liked to drink some wine. But when I read here in the reviews that he didn't have it 3 months ago, it annoys me afterwards. But I don't want to give it a bad rating for "hindsight". We were very satisfied and had a lovely evening in the restaurant, which we enjoyed very much. Despite its size, it didn't have a train station feel, but was very pleasant.

We were there last weekend and were more than happy. A really nice and clean shop. The service was attentive and friendly. The starter came quickly and we didn't have to wait long for our food. We were the only guests in this restaurant on Sunday. It was very nice and clean. The waiter was attentive, friendly and quick. The hamburger was extremely tasty - my husband said it was the best hamburger he had ever eaten in Mannheim. We also enjoyed the pizza, but it could have used a little olive oil and salt. However, the dough was fluffy and delicious. We'll definitely be back!

The pizza itself tastes okay, but nothing special for the price and could be a little bigger. In my opinion, you get more for your money elsewhere. Service was very friendly, although the two pizzas arrived very late. At least compensation was kindly offered for this. Alcohol still cannot be served. New owners, fine, but keep us informed! And make sure you know what's on the menu. One in our party ordered Mediterranean Burger and when it was served, they asked who ordered a Normal Burger. It took som time to get it right and when we did the burger was cold. And to finish that embarrassing situation off, one of the male staff tried to blame it on the poor girl that was serving us. BAD MANNERS! I ordered Pizza Al Pesto which was ok, but with way too much olive oil on it. Good service goes a long way, remember that Zitos! I will not recommend this place to anyone!

We ate pasta here today and were pleased with the ambience and the good service. What bothered us was that the food (2 different pasta dishes) tasted strongly of flavor enhancers. The price-performance ratio was also not justified. In addition, there were always 3 managers/executives in the entrance area who just felt like they were watching you. They were constantly walking from the bar to the outside area waiting for guests, which was very unpleasant.

We were there with 6 people. The restaurant is not allowed to serve alcohol right now; On the front of the daily menu it says that long drinks are available for €5. We found that strange. 3 people's pastas have never seen salt. We didn't know that both truffles and bolognese (and the parmesan that came with the pasta) could taste so strongly of nothing. The pizza was soggy. Instead of a chocolate soufflé there was a lava cake, the center of which was baked through and not runny. The service was okay. The best part of our experience was the music. I didn't know a restaurant in a big city could be so empty on a Friday night. Maybe that should have been a sign to us.

We stayed at the Leonardo Hotel next door. The restaurant advertises that there is a 10% discount for hotel guests. After a wait of three quarters of an hour, we received our pizzas, which were very tasty. When paying we have to be guests of the hotel. The waitress said regretfully that they were no longer allowed to give the discount on the boss's instructions. We noted that the advertising would then have to be removed. She proved us right. As we walked, we realized that you could simply wipe away the discount notice. Advertising discounts without granting them is deception!
