Excellent cuisine in a stylish yet cozy ambience

We were there yesterday with nine people. The ambiance was extremely appealing and pleasant. We felt at home. The staff was very friendly and efficient. I had pizza, which was really delicious. The other dishes were also well-received. There was nothing to complain about. The prices are mostly reasonable. You can also sit outside or in the courtyard; some guests were sitting outside. Conclusion: We were very satisfied and would like to thank you for the service and the pleasant stay. We will definitely be back.

I was there for dinner the day before yesterday. I sent the pizza back twice; the first was burnt and hard, the second was mushy and not cooked through. I wanted to drink a glass of wine but they didn't have any alcohol on tap at the moment. A 2 liter bottle of water was way overpriced.

Vollkatastrophe! Waren am Valentinstag mit Reservierung dort und hatten den schlechtesten Restaurantbesuch ever. Konnten gerade noch verhindern, dass wir (trotz reichlicher Alternativen) an der Eingangstür sitzen mussten, totale Geldmache mit der Ansage Vor-Haupt-und-Nachspeise ordern zu müssen, serviert wurde das Essen meist lauwarm, dafür aber das Dessert in der Mitte des Hauptgangs - und einen Wein oder Bier gab es auch nicht, da derzeit keine alkoholischen Getränke ausgeschenkt werden dürfen. Totale Abzocke, hab viele Leute vorab aufstehen und gehen sehen - einfach nicht hingehen! Der armen freundlichen Bedienung wünsche ich schnell einen anderen Job - das hat keine Zukunft!

The restaurant was simply fantastic! The atmosphere was inviting and cozy, perfect for a special evening. The staff was extremely friendly and accommodating, which made the visit even more pleasant. The food was exquisitely prepared and every bite was a delight. Particularly noteworthy is the creative menu, which uses fresh and high-quality ingredients. I can only warmly recommend this restaurant and look forward to my next visit.

Today we were at Zitos and the food was very tasty. The atmosphere was very relaxed and you immediately felt at home. The service was also very nice and made our stay more pleasant. I would go again.

The food was terrible, I left half the lasagne behind. And the absolute biggest scandal is that there was no alcohol! However, the operation was still OK.

Unfortunately our visit was disappointing. The restaurant had far too many seats, so there was hardly any space. There were also just too many tables in the room, which made the atmosphere uncomfortable. Without prior notice, there was a set menu on Valentine's Day where you were forced to have a starter, main course and dessert. In addition, the starter and main course were served at the same time, which significantly affected the enjoyment. Our service was very friendly. It was not possible to order alcohol. Overall, the experience was unfortunately not satisfactory.

The two of us were there on Valentine's Day and had reserved a table. NOBODY had informed us that you HAVE to order three courses on Valentine's Day. The service was completely reorganized, the tables were far too close together, people received several courses at the same time and sometimes we waited forever. The drinks were not carbonated enough, the starter and dessert had an alcoholic aftertaste, even though the restaurant is not allowed to serve alcohol, the fresh strawberries on the tiramisu were jam and the starter was slightly burnt. Only the pizza was good. The other guests were also dissatisfied and didn't know anything about the three-course rule. We won't come anymore.

We went there for dinner on Valentine's Day. First we were forced to order a starter, main course and dessert… so far so good. When the bruschetta came with balsamic vinegar and my wife said that she couldn't tolerate balsamic vinegar, we were insulted. We should please let us know in advance. There was nothing about balsamic on the menu. I have no idea how we were supposed to let you know. For the main course we had the pasta with prawns and zucchini and the tagliatelle with salmon. Both were inedible. The noodles tasted like they were cooked 3 days ago, then warmed up and served. Disaster! We have never eaten such bad pasta and left the plates completely alone. The dessert was ok. We will never set foot in this store again. Zero organization, the staff is completely overwhelmed. The waiters walk around the store with the food and don't know which table to serve the food to. Absolute disaster and in a central location in Mannheim. NEVER AGAIN!

Wir haben uns schon gewundert, warum das italienische Lokal unmittelbar neben an ausgebucht war und im Zitos zahlreiche Plätze (3/4) frei waren. Die Gründe: unterdurchschnittliches Essen ( Pizza verbrannt, Nudeln lauwarm, Salat riesengroß aber nicht undefinierbarer Einheitssoße). Der Hit war, dass es keine alkoholischen Getränke (z.B. Wein) gibt, obwohl die auf der Karte stehen - man habe hierfür keine Konzession ! Das erfährt man aber erst bei Aufnahme der Bestellung. Zusammengefasst: ein Lokal, das keiner braucht und das mit Italien oder Little Italy in NY nichts zu tun hat. Definitiv keine Empfehlung

The restaurant advertises a 2 for 1 promotion through Ramazotti. However, the discount is not granted. The boss says he doesn't know anything about it. But he couldn't even tell us that in person. The waitress had to deliver the news.

Nothing special. Food was ok. Antipasti just out of a glass, didn't really look fresh. The waitress was bare-chested and tried desperately to communicate with us guests, but it didn't work because it led to an unpleasant conversation. In addition, the branch manager stared at us while we were eating. Expensive pizza by German standards. Price-performance ratio not suitable. No liquor license was the cherry on the cake.

There were three of us and the service was nice. The porcini mushroom truffle risotto was delicious, but the Margherita pizza tasted unsalted/very sweet and the tagliatelle al tartufo had hardly any taste of its own and was very dry, I really wouldn't recommend it. In general, I left the restaurant relatively dissatisfied. Maybe it was just a bad day, but I don't want to come back again.

Not recommended... The food didn't come even after more than an hour. When we observed the surrounding tables, we could see that others who were there before us didn't get their orders and even if they did, they were all separated for a long time or cold. After we asked the staff, it turned out that our dishes (only two!) hadn't even started cooking yet. Like others, we finally decided to leave the restaurant without eating anything... The staff seemed polite, if a little disinterested. The furniture was positive and the resulting atmosphere was fine. It would be nice if you could actually eat here.

Preis-Leistung stimmt nicht. Tagliatelle waren sehr weich, die Filetspitzen dazu waren sehr trocken und hatten deutliche Röstaromen. Der Römersalat war sehr kalt und hatte kaum Dressing. Getränke (eine große Flasche Mineralwasser) "gingen leider unter", wurden aber nach Reklamation nach nochmaligen 10 Minuten mit einer Entschuldigung serviert.

Once and never again. Four of us had something to eat there yesterday. The drinks were barely carbonated. For starters we ordered beef carpaccio. We were shocked, the meat seemed to have been sitting outside for hours, if not it was already spoiled. It had an absolutely strange taste, I don't need to mention the color of the meat (see picture). For the main course we ordered truffle pasta. The pasta was too cooked, all you could taste was pure cream, absolutely no seasoning and the truffles that were on it were really ridiculous. The tuna pizza was okay, but nothing special. We didn't eat the food. We wanted to complain to the boss about this - apparently he wasn't there. Overall, the location is decorated very nicely, but the food is a complete disaster. Price-performance equal to zero. The service is very friendly.

We were in the restaurant with a group of 8 adults and 3 children + baby. At the beginning it was said that there were no alcoholic drinks, the reason wasn't really explained, probably no more license to serve them. 3x truffle pasta that was just cream pasta, 1x cabonara that tasted better in MaggiFix, 1x tagiatelle with beef fillet tips that were burnt, fillet steak couldn't be tried because it was served last after everyone was finished and was therefore no longer accepted by us. To make matters worse, the herb butter was still wrapped in plastic. Starter not worth mentioning, calamari and pizza were okay. Service disaster even though nothing was going on. The issue was rude, every meal came in bursts, fries for the smallest child only after three requests for food for the adults. That can't happen here and is not a recommendation!

They can't serve alcohol due to the lack of license, again, as I've been reading for almost a year now. I asked for a starter and a second course which arrived together. Dish with burrata ok, dish with meat and chips a little less, meat very cooked and cold at the time of tasting.

The mix of styles of tables and chairs in the restaurant is wonderful. The gentleman who served us was very friendly, even though he was stressed. We got a table at short notice for a large group and were warmly welcomed. It was no problem to bring our dog, who also had enough space. Despite the stress, the friendly gentleman made us a large starter plate for everyone. Everyone enjoyed the food, we tried each other's dishes and were thrilled. Yes, the dishes are more expensive than at the usual Italian restaurant (a carpaccio for 19.50, - .. UFFZZ!!!) but here I consider where Zitos is located, because a shop of this size in the middle of the city center pays You'll definitely have to pay a lot of rent, which will have to be collected again. You have to decide for yourself whether you want to pay or not. You can view the menu and prices online and decide beforehand before complaining afterwards. What bothers me now in retrospect, but only because I had to read it here - I would have liked to drink some wine. The fact that the gentleman tells me that he doesn't have an alcohol license yet is plausible and okay for me. But when I read here in the reviews that he didn't have it 3 months ago, it annoys me afterwards. But I don't want to give it a bad rating for "hindsight". We were very satisfied and had a lovely evening in the restaurant, which we enjoyed very much. Despite its size, it didn't have a train station feel, but was very pleasant.

Pizza was average. Instead of fries, I got fried potatoes with the burger, which unfortunately were at least 3-4 days old. Unfortunately it wasn't edible.

We were the only guests in this restaurant on Sunday. It was very nice and clean. The waiter was attentive, friendly and quick. The hamburger was extremely tasty - my husband said it was the best hamburger he had ever eaten in Mannheim. We also enjoyed the pizza, but it could have used a little olive oil and salt. However, the dough was fluffy and delicious. We'll definitely be back!

Ate here today on October 27th, all three pastas were not edible, tasted like nothing. Service had no manners. Just throw the plates on the table. Money was very unnecessarily spent

The pizza itself tastes okay, but nothing special for the price and could be a little bigger. In my opinion, you get more for your money elsewhere. Service was very friendly, although the two pizzas arrived very late. At least compensation was kindly offered for this. Alcohol still cannot be served. Irrelevant to me personally, but perhaps for general information as this has already been mentioned several times in the reviews.

T E R R I B L E ! ! Great interior, but that's it! If you take reservations, you need to inform the party that YOU DON'T SERV ANY ALCOHOL AT THE MOMENT, because you don't have a permit. New owners, fine, but keep us informed! And make sure you know what's on the menu. One in our party ordered Mediterranean Burger and when it was served, they asked who ordered a Normal Burger. It took som time to get it right and when we did the burger was cold. And to finish that embarrassing situation off, one of the male staff tried to blame it on the poor girl that was serving us. BAD MANNERS! I ordered Pizza Al Pesto which was ok, but with way too much olive oil on it. Good service goes a long way, remember that Zitos! I will not recommend this place to anyone!

We ate pasta here today and were pleased with the ambience and the good service. What bothered us was that the food (2 different pasta dishes) tasted strongly of flavor enhancers. The price-performance ratio was also not justified. In addition, there were always 3 managers/executives in the entrance area who just felt like they were watching you. They were constantly walking from the bar to the outside area waiting for guests, which was very unpleasant.

We were there with 6 people. The restaurant is not allowed to serve alcohol right now; On the front of the daily menu it says that long drinks are available for €5. We found that strange. 3 people's pastas have never seen salt. We didn't know that both truffles and bolognese (and the parmesan that came with the pasta) could taste so strongly of nothing. The pizza was soggy. Instead of a chocolate soufflé there was a lava cake, the center of which was baked through and not runny. The service was okay. The best part of our experience was the music. I didn't know a restaurant in a big city could be so empty on a Friday night. Maybe that should have been a sign to us.

We stayed at the Leonardo Hotel next door. The restaurant advertises that there is a 10% discount for hotel guests. After a wait of three quarters of an hour, we received our pizzas, which were very tasty. When paying we have to be guests of the hotel. The waitress said regretfully that they were no longer allowed to give the discount on the boss's instructions. We noted that the advertising would then have to be removed. She proved us right. As we walked, we realized that you could simply wipe away the discount notice. Advertising discounts without granting them is deception!

The warmth and hospitality of the server were truly remarkable. The food selection is excellent, and the Tiramisu is a must-try! I'm looking forward to my next visit and highly recommend this place.

The pizza here is soooo gooood. Best part is many vegetarian options. Authentic and fresh pizza with fresh ingredients and fresh bread. Today was my second visit. Can’t stop myself going there often.

Drinks came quickly from the waitress who didn't speak well and took the order. 1 meal was completely forgotten, after mentioning again that the food was missing, it came after 15 minutes... but not what we wanted. To top it off, the EC device was then placed on the table without comment, where the order that had not arrived was included in the price. The invoice only came after repeated requests. Absolutely not recommended!

If you think that was a busy time and they made a mistake - no, we were along in the restaurant. Never go to this place, both Italy and NY should sue this place for using there trademarks. Hello, unfortunately I have to give a negative review at this point. There were 8 of us in the restaurant. An order didn't come at all, a guest had foil/plastic in his food. In the other case, the noodles were ice cold and had to be reheated, and one meal was completely burnt. When we asked the manager to come, he shut down the service in front of us. I couldn't believe the statement "You ate almost everything." I had eaten my meat (which was actually quite good) out of respect for the animal. The rest was carelessly thrown on the plate. We were there once last year. And we were thrilled. This year was a catastrophic situation. The compensation was also a joke. So for the 8 of us it’s definitely “NEVER AGAIN”

Never again! Food took forever to arrive. Then it came one by one. Some of them are already cold or still with foil in the food. The cheese on the pizza was like rubber. You should avoid this restaurant.

Disappointing if not underground. Had dinner there with 8 people on March 2nd, 2024. Orders were taken relatively quickly and drinks arrived quickly. But that's where the positive ends. Bruscetta was ordered 4 times as a starter. 3 times came at the same time. The fourth came when the others had already eaten half of their food. The highlight was the main courses. At first only four came, one of which was returned straight away because it was cold. The fillet was well done rather than medium and the herb butter was still wrapped up. Some time later 2 of the 3 pizzas arrived. After what felt like an eternity, main course number 7 arrived and the last pizza was about to arrive. After the first ones were ready and I was still waiting for my pizza, I went to the counter and canceled it because I had lost my appetite. The icing on the cake was the statement that it was coming straight out of the oven. At the end there was a Larifari apology from the service manager/operations manager/boss. I will advise anyone who visits Mannheim not to go to this restaurant. Once and never again.

Atmosphere like in a fast food shop. Pizza is limp and tastes 🤮. Any frozen pizza is better. Carpaccio was covered in vinegar. Waiting time sucks. After 75 minutes still no food on site. Never again, that was the worst place I've ever been in 40 years. I can only advise against going there.🙏🏻

Nice ambience, food and drinks were good. Service was a little slower, but that was probably due to the large number of guests and the language (our waitress had only recently been in Germany).

Very warm and welcome service with a nice atmosphere. Food choice is incredible and the Pasta, especially Bolognese as well as the Pizza is for sure outstanding. They serve various drinks and good espresso. We also enjoyed the nice and suitable background music. They are more in the pricey range, except 20-25€ per person at a minimum.

Food is delicious. Atmosphere could be more pleasant. Among other things, music that is too loud. The waitress simply clears away during the meal and then asks for a friendly review on Google...

Rarely have I eaten so badly. Nice neat service though. Menu looked good at first glance but prices already looked a bit high. Then you also have high expectations. Starter costs around 15 euros and you get half a tomato with a little mozzarella. The classic hamburger with fries and lettuce was even worse than at McDonald's. At least there is still some lettuce and other toppings in there. The sandwich was not fresh and straight out of the package. Ditto for the meat. For €17 you can expect a fresh piece of meat. Completely overcooked and bad in taste, largely made of flour. Pizza was also fine, but pricey. Absolutely not recommended.

Service was great, food was a bit of a flop. Carbonara spaghetti stuck together and didn't really taste fresh. Chocolate souffle was extremely dry (I thought it should have a liquid center..). Otherwise it was okay.

Today we spontaneously went to dinner at Zitos. Everything was really great! The starter (bruschetta) was very well seasoned and plentiful, the main courses (pizza margarita and risotto) were very, very good, only a little salt was needed and the dessert (tiramisu) was also a dream. Thank you Bilan for the great service and we will definitely come back when we are in town!

Das Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis ist unverhältnismäßig. Unsere 15 Euro-Pizzen waren richtig schlecht, viel zu viel Käse, natürlich der billigste. Und Wasser mit Sirup als hausgemachten Eistee zu verkaufen, ist echt frech. Kein Wunder, dass in diesem riesigen, ungemütlichen Laden nur fünf Tische besetzt waren. Unfassbar, dass der Laden überhaupt von jemandem mit 5 Sterne bewertet wurde!

Well I have to say, I've never had to give only 1 star for a meal. We ordered 2 pizzas, 1 Tono and once Pollo. Both pizzas were boring in terms of dough...zero taste. But the highlight was that the Pollo Pizza was topped with ready-made chicken that had been thawed in water. Which was also confirmed to me when I asked. The meat was gray and didn't taste so good that I couldn't even eat the pizza after I took the meat off. Even the waiter I let taste the meat confirmed to me that it was not edible. I have to say, paying 17 euros for that is cheeky. We got a 20% discount, which I thought was very nice. Only the waiters and waitresses deserved stars, but that was it.

Location is quite nice and the service was good too. I'm glad we had the gourmet block, though. I just don't think value for money is right. The food was ok, but not worth the price they charge. We were pretty disappointed and won't eat there again.

I was there a while ago and it was very nice and the food was good. Unfortunately, we didn't experience that this time. There were 9 of us and none of us enjoyed our food. It was very tasteless and loveless. But it was very expensive! A pasta with Bolognese and a lasagna in which the meat, the sauce and the taste were to be found for over 15 euros is unfortunately the only thing that was of high quality, namely in the price. The ambience is still very appealing and apart from a small discussion about the Schlemmer Block, the waiter was also very friendly.

Verstehe nicht warum so wenig los ist wenn ich dran vorbei komme. Heute zum ersten Mal hier gewesen mit Schlemmerblock. Bedienung super freundlich, schnell und aufmerksam! Restaurant und Toiletten einwandfrei und sauber. Das Essen war super lecker. Hatten die Tricolore Pizza, Risotto mit Gambas und tiramisu. Alles war richtig richtig lecker. Vor allem der selbstgemachte tiramisu schmeckt nach Italien. Zutaten waren merklich frisch. Probiert es aus!

Leider entsprach das Lokal und Essen nicht unseren Erwartungen. Preis Leistung stimmt nicht. Für das Geld haben wir schon besser gegessen. Personal war freundlich.

Auch wir waren heute mit dem Schlemmerblock zum Abendessen. Sowohl die Vorspeise als auch die beiden Hauptgänge waren grandios. Wir hatten 1x Spaghetti Carbonara und 1x Pizza Salame Picante. Der Service war sehr freundlich, zuvorkommend und professionell. Vielen Dank für den schönen Abend, wir kommen gerne wieder!

Wir kamen aufgrund des Schlemmerblock Gutscheins auf das Restaurant. Die Verständigung mit der Bedienung war schwierig, obwohl sie gut Deutsch sprach. Den Teil des Schlemmerblocks mussten wir gleich ausfüllen und abgeben, woanders nicht üblich, aber ok. Ist ja nicht schlimm. Irritierend fanden wir allerdings, dass wir auch schon zahlen sollten bevor das Essen da war. Schichtwechsel. Ok macht man dann auch, will ja nur was essen und keinen Stress. Zahlung in bar war auch wieder schwierig, ob wir es denn nicht passend hätten. Das Essen selbst, Lasagne und Spaghetti Bolognese ließen das Hackfleisch vermissen. Die paar Krümelchen Fleisch musste man fast mit der Lupe suchen. Die Lasagne war ein Klumpen aus Lasagneblättern. Die Sauce war geschmacklich ok, der Mann der das Essen servierte freundlich, darum 2 Punkte, wobei mir das schon zu viel erscheint. Ein Wiedersehen wird es nicht geben.

Über den Schlemmerblock auf die Pizzeria aufmerksam geworden und mal ausprobiert. Es war okay, mehr aber auch nicht. Das Essen kam schnell, die Vorspeise aber zeitgleich mit dem Hauptgang... Die Pizzen waren sehr fettig, die Größe für den Preis aber gut, und auch gut belegt. Mit einem Schlemmerblock komme ich noch einmal, ansonsten gibt es andere Ziele.

Das optische vom Laden ist leider das beste. Geschmack ist nur durchschnittlich und Preise dafür aber teuer. Knappe 20€ für eine Pizza Tonno dessen Tihnfisch nach nichts schmeckt und 15€ für eine Pizza mit 4 Sardellen als Belag, schon sehr mager. Fazit: 43€ für 2 Pizzen und 1 Flasche Mineralwasser dessen Geschmack nur dem Durchschnitt entspricht. Erstes und letztes Mal.
