Ristorante Roma in Bad Kreuznach

Auf Empfehlung unseres Sohnes waren wir heute zum Mittagessen hier. Wir hatten Pizza und Pasta, beides war sehr gut und einen Besuch auf jeden Fall wert. Das Personal war sehr professionell und immer hilfsbereit. Ich kann das Restaurant wärmstens empfehlen.

Ist halt mehr im Hinterhof von Garagen und mehreren Mehrfamilienhäusern - aber super lecker und mega freundliches Personal - volle Empfehlung

Versteckt in einer Seitengasse liegt dieses überraschende Restaurant – ein authentisches italienisches Lokal mit Hausmannskost. Die Bedienung ist freundlich und die Speisekarte bietet neben Pizza und Lasagne einige interessante Gerichte, die es wert sind, entdeckt zu werden. Die Einrichtung ist etwas dunkel, aber das Essen und die herzliche Atmosphäre machen das mehr als wett.

Schon seit Jahrzehnten unser Stamm-Italiener, wenn wir in der alten Heimat sind. Auch die neuen Besitzer haben uns überzeugt. Sehr freundliches und aufmerksames Personal und eine Karte mit sehr gutem Preis-Leistungsverhältnis. Kommen gerne wieder!

Wir waren hier zu 8 und wurden herzlich begrüßt. Es wurde direkt ein Tisch für uns zurecht gestellt. Das Essen sieht sehr lecker aus und schmeckt es auch😌

Wer ein richtig gutes italienisches Restaurant sucht, ist beim Ristorante Roma in der Hohen Bell genau an der richtigen Adresse. Für mich ist es seit Jahren die Top-Adresse in der Region. Die Atmosphäre ist herzlich, der Service spitze und das Essen einfach fantastisch, man schmeckt die Leidenschaft für die italienische Kulinarik in jedem Gericht. Ein großes Lob gilt dem gesamten Team, das mit seiner Leidenschaft und Aufmerksamkeit jeden Aufenthalt perfekt macht. Besonders toll finde ich, wie man hier als Gast empfangen wird, man fühlt sich sofort willkommen. Ein Ort zum Wohlfühlen, der mich bei jedem Besuch wieder aufs Neue begeistert!

Wir waren heute das erstemal zu Gast! Von aussen in Ordnung! Jedoch als wir die gewählten Speisen bekamen,ABSOLUT MEGA, Die Qualität,das Personal das ganze Drum und Dran,besser geht es nicht! Es gibt Lokale die sehen toll aus sind aber vom Essen her Durchschnitt! Dieses Lokal ist das Gegenteil,das Gesamtpaket Note "Extraklasse"!!

Heute waren wir spontan zu zweit hier, ohne Reservierung und haben direkt einen schönen Platz auf der Terrasse von der sehr netten Chefin Silvia bekommen. Die Weinempfehlung war sehr gut ( Vermentino) Die Pizzen waren hervorragend und Extrawünsche wurden sowohl von Andrea, als auch von seinem netten Bruder Gianluca direkt erfüllt… Eiswürfel, Guanciale ( welcher Italiener hat das !!) , alles kein Problem… wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt, wie in „Italien zuhause“ und wir kommen wieder!!! Grazie

Wir möchten zuerst die Pizza bewerten. Der Teig war hervorragend. Der Geschmack genau getroffen. Knusprig und perfekt von der Dicke. Die Beläge sowie die Zutaten waren für uns Orginal Italien. Eine der besten Pizzen die wir bis jetzt gegessen haben. Der Salat ist mit einem hochwertigen Balsamico sehr gut angerichtet. Den Nachtisch sollte man unbedingt probieren. Ein Gaumenschmaus Haus gemacht. Alles in allem ein wirklich sehr gelungenes Essen. Wir kommen wieder.

Nettes kleines italienisches Restaurant am Stadtrand von Bad Kreuznach. Essen und Service gut. Preise sind im Vergleich zu vielen anderen Restaurants recht günstig. Leider ist es recht laut im Lokal, wenn alle Tische besetzt sind. Eine entspannte Atmosphäre kann man hier nicht erwarten.

Durch Zufall haben wir diesen Italiener gefunden. Was ein Glück! Innen total gemütlich, sehr nettes Personal und das Essen war total lecker, sowohl die Pizza (authentisch italienisch) als auch die Pasta (was bei Italienern ja nicht immer der Fall ist). Verdiente 5 Sterne.

Wir hatten das Ristorante Roma eigentlich in guter Erinnerung und da wir heute etwas zu feiern hatten war es naheliegend, mal wieder ins "Roma" zu gehen. Leider wurden wir diesmal enttäucht: Wir hatten uns für gegrillte Calamaris entschieden und die waren einerseits kaum angegrillt (total blass) und (was schlimmer wiegt) bestenfalls lauwarm. Der Kellner meinte nur: "Ja gegrillte Calamaris werden einfach schnell kalt - leider!" So, als wäre das ganz normal - Man fragt sich da nur, wieso das andere Restaurants problemlos hinbekommen?! Auch der Geschmack war nicht wirklich nach unserem Gusto und reichlich fad. Wirklich schade - für 26,90 € hatten wir mehr erwartet!

We went there for a birthday celebration. Fast, friendly service, delicious food (pizza, lasagna), large portions, and reasonably priced. We'd gladly come again! 😃

The food was really great. However, my last visit was severely marred by the fact that I was constantly reprimanded by the aggressive waiter from beginning to end. Whether it was for my mispronunciation of a dish, a napkin that was in his way and I was rudely told to move it, or finally being loudly reprimanded because I simply (and quite normally) wanted to know what the remaining balance was. He just kept aggressively repeating that the remaining balance was the remaining balance, meaning the remaining balance. So he was constantly feeling provoked, but by what exactly? I don't think I've ever experienced anything like it. I tried to explain that he didn't mean any harm, but that I've seen quite a lot. Then he stood close to me and shouted at me, asking what I had just said about Italians?! The owner was also there and must have heard his shouting. Apparently, this kind of behavior is tolerated. All four of us felt very uncomfortable when he loudly and rudely asked if we wanted to pay separately. I hadn't given him a tip, but he still pocketed the small change. I didn't feel like talking to him anymore. It was a really bad movie and the atmosphere was awful. But the main thing is that the little king was okay. That's what matters. I'm really disappointed in the owners.

Our absolute favorite Italian restaurant! Super delicious food, fresh ingredients, and a team that always greets you with a smile. It feels like a little vacation in Italy every time.

There's now a new owner. Toni handed over the business after several decades. We were initially skeptical after our first visits, but now we're completely convinced. The new owners put a lot of effort into it and have worked long and successfully to create a truly excellent pizza dough, which no Italian pizza can compare to. The only annoying thing here is the proximity of the tables with the relatively low roof, as this unfortunately makes the cigarette smell from smokers among the guests very unpleasant and, unfortunately, doesn't dissipate well. This is, of course, a general problem in many restaurants, but we noticed it several times here in a particularly negative way. The smoke simply doesn't dissipate well, and you end up with the taste of cigarette smoke on your tongue, even if you're sitting two or three tables away from the smoker. The prices are still reasonable, even if they've become significantly more expensive compared to Toni's in the past. All in all, an asset to Bad Kreuznach. You can tell that the new owners enjoy their job and bring passion to the table, something that Toni's team seemed to have lost during the Corona period.

The very tasty pizza and pasta more than makes up for the not so exclusive surroundings.

Attention spaghetti carbonara lovers: Here you can find the "real" version, made with egg yolk and not cream. Add a draught Radeberger, preceded by bruschetta or manzo carpaccio, and you're good to go.

I was disappointed by the food and the chef. A second visit is unfortunately not worth it.

We recently ate here with our gourmet block. When we pointed out shortly after ordering our drinks that we were there with our gourmet block, the waiter's mood shifted from funny and relaxed to completely serious and almost rude. He also wrote "Block" on his slip of paper with our orders, which actually only goes to the kitchen. We found that a bit odd. We also waited 60 minutes for our food, which wasn't particularly bad, but a bit annoying. Some guests around us complained loudly about the wait. We were also annoyed that we made a reservation for the following Friday on Sunday, but there was no room inside for us, which wasn't communicated over the phone. Since it was very chilly and we weren't dressed to sit outside for two hours, we were correspondingly cold. The food was very tasty, though, but the portion of pasta was very small. The mozzarella pizza is also just a Margherita. Unfortunately, we won't be coming back.

Update 2025: Unfortunately, some recipes have been changed, which is a real shame. The pizza may now be more "traditional Italian," and some pasta sauces too, but the Roma is an institution that has been around for many years and is associated with a certain taste that one has experienced at Toni's since my youth (in the late 80s). That's largely gone, which makes me sad. With the old Ristorante Roma, a part of my youth is dying. That's why I'm only giving it 3 stars. Don't get me wrong, the new owners are nice and do their thing, which is their right, but it's still a shame that the original recipes are no longer available. Anyone who doesn't have these expectations of the Roma is welcome to add 2 stars. Prices have risen sharply, as everywhere, and the pizza isn't as generously topped, but that's the way it is everywhere, so it doesn't have a negative impact on the rating. Update June 30, 2023. Everything is still great, the pizza is still super delicious. Toni is always attentive and friendly, and even though we didn't have a reservation, we always managed to get a table on our last few spontaneous visits, albeit for a limited time. The price/performance ratio is still good. A definite recommendation, but you should make a reservation if you want to be sure of a table. Original review: Ristorante Roma makes the best pizza in Bad Kreuznach and the surrounding area. I've known the pizzeria since I was a child, and the food has always been very good. The price/performance ratio is great, and the quality is top-notch. The Italian antipasti are extremely good, and all of their pizzas can be recommended without exception. A not-so-secret insider tip is the Pizza Pecorara with extra pepperoni sausage. If you want pizza, then go for it from Ristorante Roma da Toni!

Im gesamten sind wir als Familie zufrieden und gerne dort. Aber Verpackung zu berechnen für Speisen die nicht fertig gegessen werden konnten ist schon sehr unverschämt. 3,50€ für Gorgonzola als extra Zutat auch krass. Die Preise wurden sehr stark erhöht und die Qualität hat etwas nachgelassen. Jeder muss schauen das es passt, so auch der Gast der zukünftig kein Trinkgeld gibt.

We went there on a weekday with a reservation. The restaurant was busy, and we received a warm welcome. When ordering our drinks, we pointed out that we had the gourmet block, which was no problem at all. Unfortunately, my boyfriend didn't enjoy the starter as much. We both had different ideas for dessert, but it was still delicious. We were particularly impressed with the pizza 😋 The service was friendly and attentive. We will definitely be back!

Wir wollten zusammen mit Sohn und Schwiegertochter mit einem Ausflug an die Nahe meinen Geburtstag feiern. Das Mittagessen hatten wir in der Region Bad Kreuznach vorgesehen. Beim Lesen unzähliger negativer Berichte in Tripadvisor standen mir die Haare zu Berge, bis ich endlich dieses kleine Restaurant entdeckte, dessen ausschließlich begeisterte Bewertungen ein ungetrübtes Vergnügen an einer leckeren Mahlzeit in harmonischer Atmosphäre versprachen. Die Beschreibungen hier hatten nicht zuviel versprochen. Gut gefallen hat uns gleich, dass hier kein Bella-Italia-Plastikbarock über mangelnde Qualität hinwegtäuschen will. Die Einrichtung ist schlicht gut-bürgerlich (die moderaten Preise übrigens auch). Es gibt Plätze drinnen und draußen auf der überdachten Terrasse. Ich bin Hobbyköchin, mein Sohn Hobby-Pizzabäcker, unsere Ehegesponse wissen, wie gutes Essen schmecken muss, und wir waren alle sehr zufrieden, auch mit den vergleichsweise kurzen Wartezeiten. Unsere Wirte sind nicht nur freundlich, sondern sehr herzlich – wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt. Pech für das Restaurant, Glück für uns, dass es nicht in einer Laufgegend liegt und nur mit Navi leicht zu finden ist, sonst wäre es wohl total überrannt. Parkplätze gibt es übrigens im Hof vor dem Haus. Danke für das angenehme kulinarische Erlebnis! Auch wenn wir in Frankfurt wohnen, kommen wir trotzdem bei nächster Gelegenheit mal wieder!

We found the pizza to be like being on vacation in Italy. Simply delicious and well-prepared. The service was nothing to complain about. Courteous and always approachable. All in all, we had a lovely evening and a little taste of vacation in Italy.

It was our first time there and we were super happy and we'll definitely be back

We arrived there at 8 p.m. and wanted to finish our vacation there. Unfortunately, it was a total failure. When we arrived we sat down at a free table and after more than 5 minutes the waitress (boss) commented across the terrace whether we had even asked if we could sit there. We still saw that as funny. After another 10 minutes we got a card. After another 5 minutes we ordered. Our drinks came within 5 minutes but we waited almost 60 minutes for our food. Then the boss came to our table in the meantime and apologized for it taking so long and brought us 2 side salads as compensation at the house's expense. When we were finally served our food (1 x spaghetti with mussels and 1x spaghetti with squid) the food was only lukewarm (I should have complained here but hunger just drove it in). It should have been such a nice evening but it turned out to be a total failure. The whole thing cost over 50 euros altogether. I have no recommendation here at all. Something like that wouldn't have happened with Toni (predecessor).

Update 2025: my good rating refers to the predecessor. We don't go there anymore today. The pizza recipe has been changed. We don't like it here anymore. Very clean, very cozy and fantastic Italian cuisine. Simply great! We have enjoyed going to Toni's for many, many years. On the beautiful covered terrace you feel like you are on holiday.

Hello, we had dinner there with our friends this evening. The food was very tasty and the staff were extremely friendly and very entertaining. We all felt at home

We were there at 7:30 p.m. and ordered food at 7:45 p.m. We had to wait forever and people who came 30 minutes after us and even more people got food before us. At 9 p.m. the food finally arrived, but it didn't all come at the same time, some of us were already halfway through eating before the rest finally came. The portions are very small in my opinion. I'm not a big eater anyway, but even I found it too little and was still hungry afterwards. The taste of the food was okay, but I personally found it lacking in spice.

We always used to eat there at the previous place. We were always satisfied whether on site or to take away. You were warmly welcomed and it was never unpleasant. Yesterday we ordered something to pick up and were really unpleasantly surprised. A very cold environment, we had to wait a moment (which wasn't a bad thing) but you felt like you were in the way. When we had our pizza and left we were loudly said goodbye but then laughed. I don't know if that applied to us, but it was still very unpleasant. That was the last time we would get anything there, let alone eat there. Which has nothing to do with the food because the pizza was good. It's a shame because we were happy there for over 25 years.

We have been guests there since the previous owner opened the restaurant. At the beginning of the change in ownership, the pizzas were the same as Toni's, but not anymore. The calzone was still ok, the pizza special was very poorly topped and had a fairly thick crust. When we ordered a wheat beer again, the closed bottle was placed on the table without a word. In no way a comparison to the previous owner Toni. His food and service have been consistently good over the years. Too bad.

rustic, friendly, original... tasty

A pretty disappointing restaurant visit. We had a chef's salad, pasta and schnitzel. Everything was underground. The chicken on the chef's salad was completely dry and almost impossible to eat. The sauces for the schnitzels were all made from powder. Every frozen meal tastes better and you don't feel like you're being made a fool of. We were there with the gourmet block and we were immediately told: 'the rump steak is out' and when we asked for a small portion of pasta for the kids we were told: 'the kitchen doesn't do small portions' then we ordered fries (a side dish) as an alternative and suddenly a small portion of pasta wasn't a problem, although that was the second portion of the gourmet block. All in all, an embarrassing number. In that case, I would decide against visiting the restaurant.

Unfortunately, since the change of ownership, the calzone is no longer as tasty as it used to be. I have been eating the calzone regularly for over 25 years. Unfortunately the dough and the sauce are no longer that good. Too bad!

Food (cream schnitzel, fries and salad) huge portion, delicious taste, hot and well prepared. Pizza (Diavolo), very large, well baked, well topped and really tasty. Drinks at a good temperature and still within reasonable price. Very nice, attentive waiter (boss?). Finding a parking space was a bit difficult because it is in a residential area. We would love to come back. Thank you for the wonderful hours with you.

Für uns der beste Italiener in Bad Kreuznach. Extrem leckere Pizzen, aber auch alle anderen Gerichte (Nudeln, Salate, etc.) können bedenkenlos bestellt werden. Seit einiger Zeit haben neue Besitzer das Restaurant übernommen. Sie haben es geschafft, die alte Karte beizubehalten und trotzdem immer mal wieder neue Gerichte anzubieten. Großes Lob dafür - macht weiter so :) Top Service, freundlich und schnell!

We had reserved a table in advance and were looking forward to a pleasant lunch. When we entered the restaurant, we placed our gourmet block on the table, clearly visible. The look from the owner who took our order was more than unfriendly - and a short time later we knew why. After we ordered, he came back to the table and loudly expressed his anger. He claimed that the gourmet block had to be registered when making the reservation. We answered no because such a regulation was not specified anywhere. After a long, unpleasant discussion, we showed him the clear rules right in the gourmet block and proved that his claim was wrong. But instead of letting the matter rest, he continued to discuss it and didn't let up. The entire incident was not only unpleasant, but simply unprofessional and disrespectful. We were about to leave the restaurant – and to be honest, that probably would have been the better decision. We will definitely not see this restaurant again! Such treatment of paying guests is absolutely unacceptable!

We've eaten there several times and felt very comfortable. However, we have been quite disappointed since our last order, which was take out. We ordered a portion of spaghetti carbonara and when we opened it at home it didn't make us smile as much as usual. The ham is different and there's a lot of pepper in the food. Unfortunately, we noticed that the taste was no longer what it once was. The service is great and the ambience too. There's nothing to complain about, but unfortunately we didn't like the food anymore...
