Ristorante Roma in Prien a.Chiemsee

We arrived 30 minutes before closing time and were greeted warmly and served with great hospitality. It was one of the best pizzas we've ever eaten. We'll gladly come back.

After visiting the Christmas market on Fraueninsel, we went to Ristorante Roma and had a perfect end to the day. The service was very attentive, the atmosphere was wonderful, and the food was excellent, with great options for those with allergies. We'll definitely be back. Thank you for the lovely time! 😋🤩

We arrived to find the doors closed. It appears to be closed, as there was even barrier tape in front of it. However, this wasn't updated on Google. Several people went to the hotel only to realize it wasn't open.

We really enjoyed Ristorante Roma. The service was very attentive and friendly. The pizza was excellent, as was the pasta al ragù. We also liked the wine; the aperitifs were a bit sweet, but fine. The lighting at the table was a little bright, but otherwise it was cozy.

The pizza was delicious with a very thin crust, and the salad was also large and tasty. Great atmosphere, and the prices were reasonable. One star less because we didn't get to try the pasta; maybe next time!

Calling it an Italian restaurant is an exaggeration. If you want to eat Italian pizza, you won't find it here. I went with my family last week and, given the positive reviews, we tried this place. We ordered two pizzas and a pizza brot for my daughter. The pizzas were toasted, almost inedible, and they all fell apart. My daughter's pizza brot was pizza dough without oil, mozzarella, or anything else, very thin and dry... Furthermore, the waiter, who was Hungarian, spoke neither Italian nor German well and had trouble understanding us. In the end, there was even a mix-up. We wanted to pay by card, and the waiter asked me if we had other cards because there was a problem with the one I had given. I told him we only have that one, and he continued. In the end, I paid €2 in fees because the card wasn't European, the first time this has happened to us in all of Europe. If the waiter had warned us, I would have paid in cash, but logically, he didn't even know how to explain it to us. When we told him, he didn't understand what we meant, he even got angry and slammed the €2 on the table. Great service 😉 I don't understand why all these positive reviews.

We were very surprised by the hospitality. The food was delicious, and the waiter was attentive. We would be happy to come back.

The waiters here are super friendly, and the food is simply amazing! In the evening, you can relax and enjoy your meal and even watch the pizzas being made. However, I recommend reserving tables, and unfortunately, parking is only available at the harbor or, with luck, across the street.

The food is delicious and the staff is friendly, but when it's busy, you have to be patient and get the staff's attention.

We visited the pizzeria with a large group of 16 people and ordered from the entire menu. All the dishes were freshly prepared and delicious. The service was friendly and attentive. Given the size of our group, it took a while for everything to be served, but that's completely understandable. We felt very comfortable and would gladly return!

We visited Ristorante Roma on vacation and were absolutely thrilled. Very friendly and attentive staff, good food at a reasonable price. The pizza could be seasoned with garlic and extra spice to taste. The table was decorated to match the occasion. If we ever come back to the area, we will definitely visit this pizzeria again.

The ambiance was really nice, and it was busy – unfortunately, that didn't salvage the overall impression. We had to wait a very long time even for the first drink. I ordered a second drink twice, but never got it. We also had to chase our food orders – in total, we waited over an hour and a half for a pizza and a Spezi. What was particularly annoying was that the waiter added a tip for himself at the end, even though we wouldn't have given one in that case. The service and the atmosphere were overall very disappointing, and there were no concessions (e.g., a drink on the house).

Be careful with credit card payments: Roma's credit card machine adds uninvited and unverifiable fees to the gross invoice amount. This practice is subject to legal review. The fee was only deleted upon request.

Very friendly and attentive service. We had the all-Italian antipasti platter, but unfortunately, the seafood on it was still frozen. The pizza was okay, but the sauce for the spaghetti carbonara was gray, which may have been due to the use of olive oil, which, in my opinion, doesn't belong in a true Italian carbonara, as I ordered it according to the menu.

The southern Italian fish soup is unbeatable!

We were on vacation at Lake Chiemsee. We had been there for the first time two years ago. I had very fond memories of the restaurant, so we were very satisfied this time as well. It was simply top-notch from start to finish.

The staff was very friendly, and we even managed to get a table spontaneously, even though there were a lot of reservations that day. However, the service seemed a bit disorganized, as we were repeatedly offered drinks and food from other tables that we hadn't even ordered. The ambiance is simple. Unfortunately, the interior smelled a bit off, but the terrace was more pleasant. The mussels in tomato sauce (unfortunately not spicy) and the pizza Siciliana were truly delicious! My Aperol Spritz initially had a bit of a prosecco flavor, but our friendly waiter, after pointing out that "it's measured precisely," rectified that with a shot of Aperol. ;-)

The food was truly excellent, the service was friendly but rather overwhelmed. Drinks took a very, very long time to arrive (almost as long as the food, which is really annoying in this heat), appetizers were completely forgotten, and the main courses came out at long intervals. Furthermore, it was almost impossible to get a server's attention, and when I did, they repeatedly said we weren't their table and would send their colleague, who never showed up. Since it was very busy, I'd still give them another chance.

The previous limit of €20 for a 10% discount on delivery has been increased to €33 (which corresponds to a de facto price increase of 65%!!!). The €33 is a clever choice: For a delivery of two pizzas, which should be standard, the price is unattainable, thus effectively eliminating the discount. When I asked for an explanation, the general price increase in the food sector was cited, even though prices there are finally falling again. Whether Pizzeria Roma will pass on the upcoming VAT reduction from 19% to 7% to customers is not yet known – they will decide on a case-by-case basis. Pizzeria Roma - clever? It's up to the customer to decide! Delivery customers may already be very dissatisfied and leave, but everyone else is advised to keep an eye on the VAT reduction: I'm guessing a 12% price increase at the expense of customers.

Ristorante Pizza Roma in Prien is a modern and stylish pizzeria with truly excellent cuisine and a hearty welcome. Dogs are warmly welcome here – you'll immediately be provided with water for your four-legged friend and receive a warm welcome throughout. The pizza selection is extensive and delicious, as is the wine selection. The absolute highlight: the tiramisu! The seasonal strawberry tiramisu and the non-alcoholic version are particularly delicious. A place to feel good – a clear recommendation for our guests on vacation with dogs at Lake Chiemsee for a relaxed evening with Italian flair. The ambience is really nice there, there is also a very cool aquarium at the entrance. The restaurant is definitely dog-friendly, we were there with our (not really friendly dog) and tables were pushed together in another corner so that the dogs wouldn't necessarily see each other. The service was also really great, everyone was super nice and had a good sense of humor. The food there came quickly and was really great. I ordered Cabonara and was even able to choose the type of pasta for it (I can really only recommend Cabonara). My sister had a pizza that was also delicious. More from enough topping, thin base and the edge is crispy but not completely dry. The spaghetti alio olio was also very good and was one of the best I have ever tried. The portions may look small at first glance, but they are definitely very filling and sufficient. I can wholeheartedly recommend the restaurant.

Went to Ristorante Roma in the evening during our vacation. Service was really nice, food came very quickly. Pizza was super delicious. We would love to come back and hope to be able to try the pasta and especially the dessert.

Great restaurant with excellent cuisine and great furnishings - the aquarium is an eye-catcher. The waiters are all super friendly and helpful, the guest is king. The farfalle with salmon are highly recommended and also the pizza with wild boar salami. Our one-year-old son received extra children's cutlery and was pampered very warmly by everyone - you don't always experience that! Thank you for the lovely evening with you!

Went to the Pizzeria Roma and were totally thrilled, the service was quick and the food was very good. (Lasagna and pizzas.) And the price was also very good. (It's worth taking the few steps away from the lake).

I got something that I didn't order, it can happen, but there was a piece of rubber in the food and the service said yes, it can happen, for me it shouldn't be like that in a restaurant. (There was no compensation)

Delivered pizza, lasagna and tuna were not even lukewarm. The taste could also be improved. The lasagne in particular was not good, there was some kind of watery sauce on the outside and it was bone dry on the inside. It used to be very good, but unfortunately it is no longer recommended today.

We went there to eat during our short stay in Prien and were so impressed by the ambience, service and delicious food that we decided to go again the next day. The search for... ... a pizzeria that was open on January 1st. Getting close to our hotel wasn't easy. Many places were closed and we didn't want to drive too far. On the recommendation of our hotel, we reserved a “table” at Roma. We had seen the pizzeria before, but it wouldn't have been our first choice based on the location and initial appearance. But that would have been a mistake. The pizza was very good and also well topped. The dough retained its consistency until the end and was crispy throughout. The service was very friendly. The prices were completely ok, the surcharge for garlic of €0.20 is very fair and is easily topped in many places.

... einer geöffneten Pizzeria am 01.01. in der Nähe zu unserem Hotel war nicht einfach. Viele Lokale hatten geschlossen und wir wollten nicht zu weit fahren. Auf Empfehlung unseres Hotels haben wir einen „Tisch“ im Roma reserviert. Die Pizzeria hatten wir schon früher gesehen, aber sie wäre aufgrund der Lage und des ersten Erscheinungsbildes nicht unsere erste Wahl gewesen. Was jedoch ein Fehler gewesen wäre. Die Pizza war sehr gut und auch gut belegt. Der Teig behielt bis zum Schluss seine Konsistenz und war durchgehend knusprig. Der Service war sehr freundlich. Die Preise waren vollkommen ok, der Aufpreis für Knoblauch von 0,20 € ist sehr fair und wird vielerorts locker getoppt.

We, a group of 5 people, had reserved and it was perfectly organized, despite the restaurant being full. The pizzas are absolutely amazing, not your run-of-the-mill pizza. Not perfectly shaped but like I know from Italians. The dough was crispy on the edges and the topping was as tender as my partner's stomach. Friends happened to drop by late at night, no problem for the experienced waiter (35 years of professional experience) and managed everything very professionally. I/we can only recommend the restaurant. For us/me it wasn't the last visit, we'll be back very soon!!! The atmosphere is very well maintained and invites you to come in and stay. And again.....The pizzas are amazing and addictive
