Ristorante Pizzeria - Rauchfang in Aalen

Well, well, well... the restaurant is deleting negative reviews. Did you know they charge for this? The public should know the unfiltered truth, so here's my experience from 2023: My group of ten people was repeatedly served the wrong dishes, and drinks ordered later never arrived. Despite complaints, the incorrect dishes were listed on the bill, in addition to the "corrected" dishes. The correction consisted only of the incorrect toppings being removed from the pizzas and new ones being added. A supposedly vegetarian pizza Neapolitana therefore still had anchovy residue...

Very good food, always nice service

The food was rotten and the whole thing ended in a hospital stay due to food poisoning. I could only eat liquids for 2 weeks.

Unfortunately, the food for three people didn't arrive at the same time, and the last meal was brought incorrectly (not as ordered). The quality of the food wasn't particularly good, as I would expect from an Italian restaurant. We won't be back.

Pizzeria Rauchfang, a true Italian cult in Aalen, just like it was 40 years ago! Plenty of parking. The pizza was good; the only negative was the endless number of small mosquitoes, attracted by the small vinegar bottles on every table. It really annoyed us! What a shame! Despite the restaurant being full, the staff were extremely polite, professional, and patient! We'll be back in the fall!

The food was delicious, as usual. The Parma arugula pizza was very tasty, with a thin crust, fresh ingredients, and perfectly seasoned. The lasagna, which I tried on a previous visit, was also excellent. The portions are generous, so you'll feel full. The prices are reasonable for the quality and the portions. It's particularly worth mentioning that the pizzeria has been in business since 1992 and places great emphasis on fresh, regional ingredients—you can tell this from the food.

Very good, excellent welcome, succulent and comforting meal and a boss full of humor.

I highly recommend this hospitality; friendly and prompt service. I'd be happy to come back anytime.

I went to the pizzeria today before work at lunchtime and got a pizza to go. It was good. What I found even more impressive, however, was the interior of this pizzeria. It's truly a little gem. You can eat here in a great atmosphere. If I ever go out to dinner in Aalen with my wife, I would bring her here.

We came here to eat pizza and had a very nice evening. The food was very tasty and the staff were extremely friendly! The atmosphere may not be for everyone, a bit kitschy at times, but we found it cozy. We'll definitely come here again!

We went there for the first time today and ordered takeaway. According to the Lieferando app, the food should be ready at around 8:50 p.m. and was confirmed in the app. Unfortunately, I discovered on site that this was not the truth. Our starter and pizza were ready, but unfortunately the pasta was forgotten. We completely understand this, as the restaurant was very busy at the time. However, I was put off several times for 2-3 minutes, which resulted in half an hour. Unfortunately, the pizza got cold during this time. When we got home we discovered that the pasta I had waited half an hour for was completely wrong, except for the spaghetti. The broccoli wasn't cooked through. I have no idea how they confused spaghetti with gorgonzola sauce and broccoli with ham for pasta. My friend is also a vegetarian, which made the situation even more unfavorable. In summary, it can be said that almost everything went wrong that evening and we won't be eating there again anytime soon. Then we'd rather go to local competitors.

Had a really nice evening yesterday and “cheapue” how great the new service staff looked after us, we didn't miss anything and the food was very tasty 🙏

4 people, after 2 hours we first got 2 pizzas, which were right, then after 15 minutes the third meal comes and it was prepared incorrectly, after 20 minutes we got the 4th order. Never again.

We had reserved a table for two people at 7 p.m. When we ordered the food we were told that the pizza would take about 30 minutes. We agreed to this since we also ordered two starters. At 8:30 p.m. I politely asked the service staff how long we would have to wait for our pizzas. He said he would check again, so we finally got our pizza at 8:50 p.m. There wasn't even an apology here.

Food was very tasty. Service also wonderful. Can only be recommended :)

Delicious pizza in a cozy, rustic atmosphere. The seating is a bit cramped, but that doesn't detract from the great food.

Our recent order from Rauchfang Pizzeria unfortunately ended in a disappointing experience. We opted for a leisurely meal at home and ordered two lasagnas for delivery. However, our excitement quickly turned to frustration when the delivery took over two hours—an eternity considering we live in the same town. The real disappointment, however, came after the meal: We were forced to stay home for two days as we struggled with severe food poisoning symptoms such as diarrhea, vomiting, and dizziness. To make matters worse, we also experienced severe cramps. Our review is based solely on this unpleasant dining experience. We cannot comment on any personal interactions with the staff or management, as they did not occur. What we can definitely say, however, is that we will never order from Rauchfang Pizzeria again.

Food was very very tasty simply 10 out of 10

We ordered delivery, but now, a good 1.5 hours later, we still haven't had the food. When we asked, they just said the food would be ready and sent out soon. Edit: The food arrived and was fine, except the bruschetta was very black. I called, and they delivered a new one right away.

That was nothing. Meals were ordered the day before (!!) for 11:45 a.m. After several phone calls, the delivery was finally an hour later than agreed. Garlic, which had been ordered and paid for separately, was missing. One pizza was ordered without paprika, but of course it had paprika. On another pizza, the entire topping had slipped to one side. It must have been incredibly well-transported. Again? Thanks, but no thanks!

No matter whether you order and pick up or eat on site. It always tastes good. Nice staff

Absolutely disappointing!!! I would have liked to give it 0 stars! From start to finish, it was a disaster. The service was rude and completely disinterested, as if being a guest there was an imposition. The wait for our food was very long—I think 1.5 hours, which is completely unacceptable—and when it finally arrived, it was cold and flavorless. No fresh ingredients. We often eat outside, and you can definitely tell the difference compared to this food. Furthermore, the restaurant was generally unclean—the floor was sticky, and the general hygiene left a lot to be desired... As if that wasn't bad enough, when we ordered, we were brought a dish we hadn't even ordered. Instead of an apology, we were told we'd made a mistake, and it took forever for the correct dish to arrive—just as cold and disappointing. I absolutely cannot recommend this restaurant and would advise everyone to spend their money elsewhere. One of the worst experiences I've ever had in a restaurant, unfortunately!

We had the pleasure of ordering from this wonderful Italian restaurant in Aalen and absolutely loved it! We ordered a pizza Sardegnia and gnocchi with four cheese and cream sauce, choosing salmon in the sauce as a special extra. The pizza was perfectly baked, with a crispy base and plenty of toppings. The gnocchi were tender and the sauce was to die for – creamy, rich and simply heavenly with the salmon. Everyone should try this dish once! Delivery was quick and the food arrived hot and fresh. If we come back to Aalen, we will definitely order here again. Absolutely recommended!

Unfortunately, the pizza wasn't to my taste. The pizza was bland, with a crust that was too thin. The next time I visited, the grilled seafood was cold. I was also expecting squid tubes or larger shrimp. Unfortunately, it was mostly tiny, tiny shrimp, and some were crumbly. A shame.

The pizza and spaghetti were ok, a bit bland but the mixed salad was GREAT! The service is TOP!! The music blaring in the background was terrible, it was annoying.

The smoked pizza tasted good but the base was rather disappointing. Tables were sticky and we had to wait a long time for our orders to be taken. Then half of the dishes were only brought when the first half had already eaten half. There is still room for improvement

To the hungry man... We were ignored again and again in favor of take-away customers. After an hour of waiting and repeated reminders, three out of four dishes arrived. Before the fourth dish was delivered, the starter arrived. I don't need to say more... Never again

Ordered food for delivery. It was said that delivery would take 40 minutes. Called after an hour and 15 minutes. Nobody knew about anything. The food arrived after a total of just under two hours. Some of the wrong food was delivered. A pizza was delivered that wasn't ordered, but other things were forgotten. Complained again and waited again for over half an hour. Pizza was cold, the pasta was also cold and completely overcooked. We used to be very enthusiastic, but the service is now terribly bad. I'm not someone who immediately complains or is impatient. But that's a no go.

We have each other ; Ordered pizzas to take away. The dough was very light and super dry. It's a shame, but it was some of the worst pizza I've had in a long time. I can't judge the service and ambience.

Never again. We ordered delivery and it took almost THREE hours to deliver. Called them after waiting 2 hours, they told us it would be delivered in 10 minutes, but we actually soon waited another hour. Not recommended!

Best service, never again. A restaurant for masochists or stoics. Ordered pizza salami and soup to take away. The gentleman on the phone said it would be ready in 40 minutes. After standing in the restaurant for about 15 minutes and being deliberately overlooked and ignored (talking to us, waving, nothing helps, maybe I should have been singing operas?) it is explained in an extremely professional and polite manner that the pizza we ordered could no longer be prepared because of it the salami is all... Seriously, no "I'm sorry, sorry, or anything like that. The restaurant is highly recommended for parents who are already so disappointed in their children that nothing can shock them anymore.

Service a whopping 10/10!!! Never before have I been served so attentively. Big shout out to the crew! I cannot understand the negative reviews about the service. The food? Terrific! Pizza and Pasta On Point. The ambience inside is also very attractive. Inside as well as outside. The sanitary facilities are modernly renovated and have a clean scent. I ordered something to be delivered. After an hour the food was there. The food was still hot. The pizza was tasty but the tagliatelle salmone and tortellini alla panna were really disappointing. The staff is friendly. The prices are okay. But I wouldn't order pasta here again.

We had reserved 6 p.m. for 8 people and the drinks were reserved very late. While serving, a guest had his cutlery dropped on his body. Pizza Rauchfang took 40 minutes to be served and unfortunately the edge was still doughy and not baked crispy. Unfortunately I cannot recommend this restaurant The whole thing for over 180 euros

Pizza is great, a bit lacking in spice but it's a matter of taste

I was there with my two children and the waitress spilled the currant juice completely on my son. Even if accidents do happen, instead of bringing us cloths to clean my child, the waitress first wiped the chair and table despite my request. That was disrespectful - never again. Even when we were looking for a table, people just watched us. Even 1 star is too much here.

We ate very tasty food. The service could be a little more attentive. But still very friendly service. We sat in the beer garden. The interior is cozy, as it has been for many years, and there are lots of nice niches to sit in.

Went with a motorcycle group and had lunch. The service was very nice and “special requests” such as a portion of two plates shared were no problem. The food came quickly and everyone enjoyed it. The price/performance ratio was also OK. The chef, who we thought was also the boss, came to our table and asked how we liked it. Overall, we were very satisfied and if we hadn't been passing through, we would have eaten there more often.

Were there on February 17, 2024 with 9 people 1 hour after we ordered we got the message from the waitress that we had to wait another 45 minutes because so many orders had been received from Lieferando and they had priority. Actually we should have got up and left straight away but we went along with it (we were stupid) Normally, you should give preference to your own guests, as you want them to come back. But it can't be that you have to wait 2 HOURS for your food and dozens of pizzas leave the restaurant in the same time (that's not possible) Of course the quality also suffered as a result, I usually eat here 2-3 times a month, but this was the last time

You can eat very tasty here. I just won't visit the restaurant on a weekend evening anymore. It's overcrowded, which is a sign of quality, but you have to be very patient. We waited for over an hour and couldn't eat together but one after the other.

Everything except the service was excellent. There were three of us, they took my order wrong and then I had to wait longer. They reserved our table twice then we had to leave straight after dinner.

So I've given this restaurant several chances and have been disappointed every time. The service is so terribly bad that it completely overshadows the actually good quality of the food and the beautiful ambience. The waiting times are far too long, whether in the local restaurant or for delivery. When you ask the staff about things like the long waiting times, they neither apologize nor look for a solution, but instead try to make excuses to keep the guests in the restaurant. Because of these negative experiences, I would never recommend this restaurant to anyone I know and would always prefer McDonalds.

Positive at the beginning, Food was good. I had a Pizza Giovanni, which tasted great, but was too oily for my taste and the dough lacked that certain something, but still absolutely recommended. Now for the negative. We waited almost a full hour for our food. I am aware that waiting times can get longer, but in my opinion they should stay under 45 minutes. Yes, the restaurant was full, so we should turn the right screws in the future.

Rigatoni al forno not recommended; Only with bland, tasteless sauce with hardly any/no other ingredients such as mushrooms/peas/ham etc. in it; Cheese was half burnt and also tasteless, it wasn't made with love. We waited well over an hour for the food. The staff barely understands German and is relatively incompetent, they are totally inattentive - they don't get a menu for a long time, they don't put away empty glasses and it's hard to reorder because they don't check on their guests, you're tempted to throw something or we end up being loud whistled (unbelievable). Location is actually quite nice, just a lot of individual steps in the dining room, rather bad for wheelchairs or people who have difficulty walking.

We each ordered a starter and a main course. The starters were fantastic (especially the mussels). The pizzas and pastas were wonderful. Price-performance ratio is also very good. We would be happy to come back for dinner. Can only be recommended.

Very bad service. Waited 1.5 hours for the pizza. After asking how long it would take, unfriendly answers and excuses. Guests who arrived after us ate their food quicker. The staff is anything but customer friendly. Apparently they don't need it. We didn't even get an apology. Once and never again, absolutely not recommended.

Pizza, Pasta und Vorspeise waren top!!

Wir haben 2 Stunden auf das Essen gewartet und waren vom Essen enttäuscht. Von einer Pizzeria erwartet man eine vernünftige Pizza.

Hatten hier an sich einen schönen Abend, die Pizza war auch gut und der Service war persönlich sehr freundlich, herzlich und gut. Nach einer dreiviertel Stunde, was bei dem vielen Betrieb + Lieferservice an sich okay war, kam kommentarlos der Hauptspeisen-Salat für eine Person. Als wir nach 20 Minuten gefragt haben, ob denn die Pizzen auch noch kommen, wurde uns gesagt, dass das noch 20-30 Minuten dauern würde. Auf Nachfrage ging das dann doch schneller und im Nachhinein wurde sich auch nett entschuldigt, aber als Einzelerlebnis kann ich hier insgesamt nur 3 Sterne geben. Das aber trotzdem mit besten Empfehlungen, da alle am Ende so gut damit umgegangen sind und es einfach passieren kann. Passe die Bewertung nach dem nächsten Besuch gerne an.

Habe das erste Mal dort zum Liefern bestellt .Essen kam pünktlich zur Bestellten Uhrzeit...Habe Pizza und Spinat mit Kartoffeln bestellt....die Pizza war in Ordnung, nichts besonderes, aber auch nicht schlecht....der Spinat war aber eine einzige Frechheit....hat einfach nur nach Glutamat/ Geschmacksverstärker bzw Maggi geschmeckt... war viel zu Salzig .

Qualitativ und geschmacklich hervorragendes Essen in rustikalem Ambiente - sehr empfehlenswert Einziger wirklich kleiner Minus-Punkt ist der Service, der ab und an etwas viel Zeit braucht. Ansonsten: 5 ⭐️

Ich war gestern hier mit der Familie zum 3 mal Essen und muss sagen das Essen war wie immer sehr sehr lecker, 10/10 ,der Service bzw. die Kellner waren sehr aufmerksam und freundlich. Keiner von uns hatte etwas auszusetzen , einfach super Abend gewesen. Ich empfehle aufjedenfall vorher zu reservieren da es oft relativ voll ist.

Die bestellten Pizzenwaren geschmacklich sehr lecker. Mir war allerdings bis zur Lieferung bereits der Appetit vergangen, da die angegebene Lieferzeit weit überschritten wurde und bei einem erneuten Anruf behauptet wurde, sie seien bereits unterwegs. Der tatsächlichen Liefzeit nach, wurden sie zu dem Zeitpunkt wahrscheinlich erst in den Ofen geschoben. Wirklich sehr schade!

Gutes Ristorante/Pizzeria mit rustikalem Ambiente. Umfangreiche Auswahl, nicht nur bei Pizza und Pasta. Für gewöhnlich gut frequentiert und auch viel Außer-Haus-Geschäft. Die Pizzen sind jedenfalls sehr gut und der Service ab und zu am Rotieren. Aber alles im Rahmen. Preise sind völlig angemessen. Empfehlenswert!

Super leckere Pizzen! Kann nur empfohlen werden! Edit: Waren jetzt zum vierten Besuch hier. Zweimal davon im Außenbereich. Personal ist super nett, schnell und angenehm. Essen ist wie immer sehr lecker, insbesondere die “Bruschetta alla Casa” ist eine Wucht und sehr zu empfehlen. Das bestelle Essen und die Getränke kommen idR. sehr zügig. Der Außenbereich ist zwar schön, aber selbst Sonntags, duch die Straßenlage, nicht so ruhig wie man es sich gerne zum entspannen wünscht. Im Innenbereich ist die Einrichtung nicht ganz unser Geschmack, aber das Essen überzeugt uns immer wieder zu kommen. Alles in allem immer ein runder Besuch, auf welchen man sich freut.

Toller alteingesessener Italiener in Aalen. Gerne wieder.ich empfehle vorher zu reservieren.
