A very nice restaurant and cafe. Stylish and bright with a view of the Vonderort recreation park. We were there for breakfast. All food and drinks were served at the table, which I thought was great. The staff was very friendly and helpful.

For me, the best, the only true Italian.

We eat there regularly. Both the breakfast and the main courses are really delicious. When the weather is nice, it's also pleasant to sit outside. The service staff is attentive, and dogs are welcome.

Breakfast buffet: the usual fare without any big surprises and presented a bit carelessly. Highlight: really delicious tomato soup (rather unusual for breakfast). The service is unobtrusive. The ambiance is rather 80s. Highlight #2: square plates are used as bases for round plates ;)

Delicious pizzas and pasta dishes.

We ordered two spelt pizzas alla chef today. The crust was excellent, with crispy edges. The pizza was well-topped with salami, ham, mushrooms, and two fried eggs. Check out the photo. Before that, we had bruschetta, pizza rolls, and herb butter. The price/performance ratio was quite good. 2 pizzas, 2 beers (0.33 l), and 2 apple spritzers (0.3 l) totaled €36.

The service is abysmal. The food was slammed onto the table without cutlery or napkin. You want to eat together in a relaxed atmosphere, but your food is "served" half an hour apart. One person finishes before the other even has their pizza on their plate. Complaints are ignored and only laughed at. It's a shame, because the pizza was really delicious. Still, never again...

I recently went to Ristorante Pizzeria Waldhof and got a pizza to go – and I wasn't disappointed! The pizza was very good: the dough was perfectly baked, wonderfully crispy yet airy, and the ingredients were fresh and flavorful. Even after the short drive home, it was still in top condition. Ordering was quick and easy. The service was really courteous and efficient. Even though I wasn't there long, the restaurant's ambiance felt cozy and inviting. You feel like you're in good hands. All in all, a clear recommendation for anyone who wants a really good Italian pizza, whether eaten in or takeout. I'd be happy to come back!

The waiter is so rude. About 40-50 years old and cheeky. We've been there twice now, and each time he's been condescending and cheeky. We were served with comments like, "Do they have money? Or do they just drink?" Yesterday, we got up and left when we received our menu. Which is a shame, really, because the place is so nice and the food is amazing. The service was nothing...

I was there last week. The service didn't really deserve a star. The waiter asked me a few times if I had enough money for the extra pizza rolls. I've never encountered such an unfriendly restaurant. The food was really good, but that was it.

We wanted to have a drink outside. The terrace was busy, so I didn't expect to be served immediately. But if I felt like none of the three waiters were paying attention to us after about 15 minutes, I'd leave. Eye contact and a signal like, "I'll be right with you," would have been enough for us.

Hey, the Waldhof is a bit like grandma's attic: There are some real treasures lying around, but you have to dig through the decades to find them. The pizza? Top-notch. Crispy, well-topped, served piping hot, and uplifting. The cake? A dream, too. More like a pastry shop than a cafeteria cake. If you like sweets, you won't be disappointed. The rest of the menu fluctuates a bit. Sometimes solid, sometimes more mediocre. No disappointments, but no kitchen revolution either. If you want to play it safe, stick to pizza and cake; you can't go wrong with that. Inside, it's... let's call it nostalgic. 30 years ago, someone could have easily come around with a fresh bucket of paint and a new lamp. On the other hand, the shop is beautifully located in the green Revierpark, between Bottrop and Centro, centrally located yet quiet. There's plenty of parking. The Sheriff's conclusion: A solid spot for a quiet afternoon or a quick bite after a walk. No design award, but you'll be satisfied with what you order. And if it's pizza or cake, you'll even get a grin on your face.

We spontaneously stopped by today with nine people. It was busy and very warm, but all the staff were very friendly and attentive. We all enjoyed the pizza. Thanks to everyone for your kindness.

Up until now, we've always been very satisfied; we've eaten there with our dogs several times. However, today we were told that there were no more tables available inside for three people. It wasn't the dogs' fault, they said. Since we didn't want to sit outside, we looked at the menu outside to take some food home. Four people came in and said they'd check if there was a table inside. They were promptly assigned a table. WHAT A PITY!!! We've always really enjoyed coming here with friends!

When we were there it was a bit crowded and the waiters (gender neutral) were very busy and not everyone was equally polite, but we were still very satisfied with the service and of course the food.

One star because the dog was allowed. We booked a table for two on Sunday. The first meal arrived promptly, the second 20 minutes after my wife had finished eating. The staff didn't seem to care, so we'll never go back to Waldhof.

The map is small but nice. We were guests on Sunday with 5 people. The menu ranged from pizza to pasta and grilled dishes to fish. If you don't find anything there, it's your own fault. We were greeted very friendly and shown to our previously reserved table. After a short time we were handed the cards and our drink requests were accepted. These were also brought to the table quickly. With the latte macchiato you could choose between different syrups and a biscuit was served. In advance we were served pizza rolls with herb butter and a bruschetta for each of us. The food came at an appropriate distance. We all decided on a meaty dish. I had the medallions in paprika sauce. The taste was great with a bit of oomph and not too spicy. As a side dish I had croquettes which were really crispy. The accompanying broccoli with Hollondai sauce was served on a separate plate. I thought that was great. My husband had the medallions in Dijon mustard with whiskey. This was also a hit in terms of taste. He was given a salad on a separate plate. This was fresh and well matched to the menu. The staff was always extremely friendly. What I particularly liked was that people were always up for a joke. The terrace was already open and offers enough space. There is only one point deducted for the ambience because the windows could be cleaned and the 3 broken bulbs in the chandeliers could be replaced. I wouldn't be typically German if I had nothing to complain about. All in all a great visit. We'd love to come back. Especially to try the pizzas, they smelled really good. Looking at it made your mouth water.

Definitely I can recommend this place. There is always a lot going on here, but you will always receive nice and friendly service. The food is great and the prices are ok. I always enjoy going here.

We were there with a reservation. The restaurant was full and the interior was showing its age. The service was attentive and our waitresses were very friendly. Unfortunately, this was overshadowed by visible and audible disputes in the service team in the immediate vicinity! Furthermore, an employee at the counter shone his cell phone flashlight into another employee's nose while the employee was picking his nose. Class! The food was brought to the table very late and only part of it. This had already been eaten when the remaining food arrived about half an hour later and had already been on the counter for five minutes. Nevertheless, the food was okay. There will be no return visit for me. Too bad!

We were there on a Sunday lunchtime. The really low prices are a positive thing. Most pizzas under €10 and with a very decent diameter. In terms of taste, it was rather boring. laff. The toppings were also quite sparse. The herb butter beforehand, on the other hand, was oversalted and probably came straight from the freezer. The ambience is of course a matter of taste, but we didn't find it comfortable. The service was relatively quick. We only had to ask twice for the bill.

Unfriendly service, cold side dishes that are warmed up in the microwave upon request. The ambience is shabby, costs are saved because there is no heating, please dress warmly.

The pizza I ordered tasted very good and the service was super accommodating. For an additional charge of €1 you can order a pizza with spelled. I haven't seen it anywhere yet. Invited to a birthday. The atmosphere is more like the 80s to 90s, very open design The staff was very friendly and everything went very quickly. There were around 12 of us. Unfortunately, eating together didn't quite work out, some things came a bit late. While the starters were very tasty, my lasagne disappointed me. Of course it's a matter of taste but I just found it too dry and my stomach couldn't tolerate it either. But I'm also sensitive. Nevertheless, there is also fresh lasagna that I can tolerate. The other guests were also somewhat satisfied, it was probably tasty but it didn't blow you away either.

Nice atmosphere at good prices. There are plenty of parking spaces in front of the door as well as the opportunity to stretch your legs before or after your meal. There is pizza, which is freshly prepared, as well as cakes. The pieces of cake are huge. For just €3. Card payments supposedly only start at €15. We paid just under €12 (without tip) for a latte macchiato, a hot cocoa and 2 pieces of cake. 👍🏼 There are cream and fruit cakes. E.g. poppy apricot, plum sprinkles, cheese sprinkles etc. (As of November 2024). It gets more crowded after 4 p.m.

I went there twice for dinner with friends in the last six months. Very tasty pizzas, salads and desserts, we haven't tried the other dishes yet. Service friendly and quick, fair prices. Atmosphere inside is not modern but cozy. In summer there is a large terrace with a view of the park. Lots of free parking spaces in the immediate vicinity. Gladly again.

Call me old-fashioned, but I still love being served by an Italian waiter in an Italian pizzeria - and that's the case here. He also brought my girlfriend a cappuccino, even though we were there in the afternoon, but it doesn't have to be too Italian 😉

We were here for breakfast and waited 45 minutes for our breakfast, which in my opinion is too long, especially in the breakfast area. The atmosphere is very much like a cafeteria, but it doesn't really feel cozy.

Today we had dinner there with friends. This time we didn't like it. We ordered pork fillet gratinated. It wasn't a fillet. It was flat like a flounder. The sauce also came with it. It tasted artificial and like ready-made sauce from the jar. We told the waiter and he said it was knocked flat.which I don't believe.the vegetables were watery and bland.everything was very disappointing.

Had dinner there today with the whole family. Pizza and pasta dishes were very good and very filling, only with the other dishes such as fish and meat I thought at first that they had all ordered a senior's plate. However, it wasn't like that, definitely too little for a normal portion and therefore overpriced. That's my opinion. If we go out to eat there again, only pizza or pasta dishes. And when it comes to parking, many people can't park there!

I actually really like the restaurant. But after almost 2 years, isn't it time to replace the sign "Unfortunately there is no ice cream at the moment" with "There will never be ice cream again"? ;-) But it's a real shame because the ice cream was always great. We come by so often and used to almost always take 1-2 balls per person when we were out with the dog in the hot summer. Too bad.

Location was on the edge of the forest. Nicely located. Parking spaces were in front of the restaurant. All you had to do was walk a few steps.

I was here for coffee in the afternoon on August 10, 2024. I was always raved about the great cakes and tarts. So I treated myself to a piece of Baileys cake and a latte macchiato. I was disappointed though. The size of the kitchen area was absolutely fine. However, the cake failed in terms of taste. The top layer was a tasteless cream and the actual cream tasted nothing like Baileys. The selection of cakes was also poor. Chocolate and Bailey cake, cherry sheet cake and some gooseberry cake. That's it. I'd rather stick to pizza or pasta.

Come here once a year for a family reunion. Parking spaces in front of the door. You can sit outside and inside. Salad with turkey breast and pizza were quickly on the table. We enjoyed it. The restaurant was well attended. Toilet in the basement accessible via 2 stairs. Toilet was clean. There again next year.

Pizza was good... Especially good that they have spelled dough. I didn't find an older waiter, I think a Sardinian, that friendly, but maybe that's just my opinion... The outside area could have been more looked after and the inside area was a bit older..... But we'll still come back for pizza

The pizza is OK, the rest is not. Biggest drawback: the service. Staff unfriendly and ignorant, prefer to talk to each other rather than to guests. Even pizza to be picked up is not prepared within 35 minutes, and any surprise is responded to in an outrageously condescending manner. There is a need for training here!!!
