The Restaurante Da Gigi – a true Italian! We received a warm welcome, took our seats at our reserved table, and shortly after, a generous welcome from the kitchen arrived. The pizza that followed was crispy and well-topped, and the antipasti as a main course was varied and equally plentiful. Of course, we were allowed to take the "leftovers" with us and had a complete meal the next evening. The bill, including drinks, was reasonable. We'd be happy to come back.

I've rarely eaten such delicious food! The ambiance was incredibly beautiful. Exactly what you'd expect from an Italian restaurant. Our server was extremely friendly and not at all intrusive. In our opinion, the restaurant truly deserves more than just 5 stars. Highly recommended.

Luckily, we arrived early, so we were able to "snag" a table outside. After 6:30 p.m., that's not possible without waiting. Unfortunately, the lamb was sold out, but the scampi were also very good. The rosé we chose was unfortunately already finished, but the waiter had a very good alternative on hand. Be careful, the house special is addictive, and the portion size should be considered when choosing your meal. The generous slice of pizza bread is no small feat, but it's too delicious not to eat.

We ordered pizza to take home. It was ready in 20 minutes, even though the restaurant (I picked up the pizzas) was full. I received a very friendly welcome at the door. All the employees I encountered were also very friendly. I received a delicious aperitif for the short wait (I was early). I was very satisfied with the service. The food was excellent. If I could give everything 6 stars, that wouldn't do this restaurant justice. I highly recommend eating there and enjoying the ambiance. It's a piece of Italy in St. Peter-Ording.

The pizza was delicious, and the pizza bread was also fresh and delicious. The portion size was good! We ordered for pickup and the food wasn't ready quite on time, but we got an extra pizza bread. Thumbs up, that's not to be taken for granted and very accommodating! Price/performance ratio is a 10/10.

The pizza is great, but we were less impressed with the pasta dishes – they could have been seasoned more, especially at such a high price. I recommend sitting inside later in the evening, as we were bitten by mosquitoes outside.

We had three pizzas. Unfortunately, all of them were soggy in the middle and tasted bad. The spaghetti carbonara was really bad and uneatable. Very greasy and peppery. The prices were too high.

The restaurant itself has a cozy atmosphere, and the staff is friendly and attentive. Whether it's a Margherita, salami, or a specialty pizza, every flavor has been a delight. For me, it's definitely one of the best places to eat pizza, and I'm always happy to return.

My pizza was delicious—and for once, they had a really sharp knife! At other pizzerias, you can sometimes ride on the knife.

We wanted a tiramisu at 3:30 p.m., but unfortunately they didn't have it. The service was super friendly.

We went there three times on a family vacation, and for us, it was the best Italian restaurant we've ever visited. We tried many dishes, and everything was delicious! Very clean and friendly... we'll be back again and again, even if we travel 1,000 km!

The pizza was delicious, with a wonderful crust and a nice, thin base, truly perfect. One of the few pizzerias that really seasons their pizzas well. The ambiance with the beach chairs was truly inviting, and the service was good and unobtrusive.

This was our first time at the pizzeria; excellent service, very good pizza, very Neapolitan! The chef gave us a good wine recommendation! We started with a small pizza with herbs and an extra quark dip. Two days later, we had sirloin steak there, which was extremely delicious, with the exact mid-seasoning.

We (2 adults, 2 children) had reserved a table inside for 7 p.m. due to the cool and windy weather. Unfortunately, reservations inside weren't possible earlier. We were seated outside at 7 p.m. sharp. We pointed out the reservation again. They said it was a mistake and that the colleague would show us to our table in the restaurant right away. The whole thing took a full 40 minutes – after repeated inquiries. Apparently, the guests were just finishing their espresso. Once we were inside, people from "our" table were frantically moved around so we could be seated according to our reservation. We finally got our reserved table at almost exactly 7:45 p.m. We ordered a pizza "for the little ones," an appetizer (bruschetta), and two pizzas for the children. The drinks, the kids' pizzas, and the appetizer arrived quite quickly. We also received a greeting from the kitchen. Shortly before 9 p.m., our appetizer plate and the children's leftovers were picked up. When asked "if everything was okay," we pointed out our missing pizzas. Discussions ensued among the staff in Italian. We finally got our pizzas after another wait. However, after asking for them to go, they immediately packed them up. It was simply too late for us, and we had no desire or appetite to eat pizza so late. We paid €93, including drinks. The food is generally okay in terms of quality. But not particularly outstanding. The service is attentive, but it's apparently simply too disorganized. All in all, we are very disappointed and will not eat there again. For us, "Da Vinci" in Bad remains our first choice for pizza and pasta.

It was very busy; I didn't have a reservation, and I waited about 45 minutes. Despite the stress, the staff remained very friendly and even offered us a small "consolation aperitif." I was very kindly asked twice afterward if I could move to make room for a larger group. I was absolutely fine with that. There are seats inside and outside; the restaurant is located on one of the main village streets. The food was very good (tomato soup/pasta with fresh wild mushrooms).

If you want great food, this is the place for you. We ate here twice. This was our second time dining at Da Gigi. We were able to easily move up our table reservation and sit outside. The starters and main courses were prepared quickly and deliciously! We were more than full and the service was very friendly and attentive throughout! As the evening progressed, the crowd grew, so we recommend making a reservation. Takeout food is also prepared quickly (as we noticed). Highly recommended! We'd be happy to go again.

We had pizza and spaghetti Bolognese (for the kids), and both were good. Generous portions. You can choose from several Italian wines. The atmosphere is well-maintained, with a terrace. The staff is very friendly. It's open until 10:00 PM, while many restaurants close at 8:00 PM.

Reserved a table for 8:00 PM - got a table at 8:20 PM 😬 The food was so-so - the salad was fresh, the pizza was rather average, the pasta was fresh but the truffle sauce was rather tasteless... And the price was rather expensive by German standards. It could definitely be better, and we'll look for other restaurants for the next few evenings. What a shame ☹️

Since the price structure is a bit steep, you expect a bit more. No pizza costs less than €19; the dough was sloppy, and the toppings were simple and unfortunately bland. I had tagliatelle with truffles, but unfortunately without them. My complaint was handled perfectly. Thanks again, and thus the service also gets 5 stars. The food really has room for improvement, though I can only advise guests that if something isn't right, they should just inform the staff immediately, rather than when paying.

We had lunch outside in a beach chair in glorious sunshine, and just like last year, it was delicious (pasta and salmon with salad and an excellent dressing). The pizza bread was also delicious.

We came here several times two years ago, and the food was always excellent. Unfortunately, I can't confirm that on my last visit. My tortellini were "cheap pasta," and the bruschetta was less good and of poor quality. The pizza, however, was quite good. A shame. The service, however, was very friendly.

We went there for dinner with friends on Saturday and are unfortunately very disappointed 😞 it was very loud and the air was stuffy. Lots of children, not that we have anything against children, but why do they have to shout so loudly, can't they talk to their parents in a normal tone? And then there's the loud music! They probably wanted to cover up the loud shouting, but of course it didn't work! All we can say about the pizza is that none of us have ever eaten such a bad pizza! The crust is very dry and very hard and the toppings/tomato sauce were very sparsely spread on the pizza, so we didn't eat most of the pizza. Instead we paid and went to another restaurant. What a waste of money!!!!

Unfortunately, we don't understand the good reviews. We picked up the pizza because there was no room. Despite prior arrangements and the reminder that we should come earlier, the food wasn't ready at the agreed time. We were intercepted outside and couldn't even wait comfortably, perhaps with a drink. Hospitality or friendliness in general doesn't look like much. The pizza is delicious, but they skimped on the quality of the ingredients. The crowning glory, or rather audacity, were six mediocre gnocchi for the outrageous price of €22. In summary: The food is good depending on the choice, the service is poor, and we expected considerably more. You get the feeling that they can just mess with tourists. Very cheeky and a shame.

I went there because of the many good reviews. I ordered a salami pizza. The base and crust were very hard. The welcome from the kitchen was excellent. After asking for the bill twice and being ignored, I paid inside at the cash register. It was okay, but it could be better.

Solid Italian cuisine. The pizzas were well prepared. The spaghetti with Bolognese sauce could have been a bit more tomatoey, and the spaghetti with vegetables and scampi lacked that certain Italian flair. Service is all about the service. The waiter's greeting was, "Oh, you don't have a reservation and you have a dog with you—well, let's see what I can do." Then a waitress came over, gave us a friendly smile, and led us straight to a table. Verdict: 3.5 stars; the food could use a little more heart and soul.

A complete disaster! The pizzeria's organization was terrible; despite pre-ordering, it took almost another half hour before we received our food. By then, however, I'd already lost my appetite: The Italian owner was not only verbally aggressive, chasing his staff around, but also the customers waiting for their food. I've never experienced such aggression and disrespect, coupled with macho behavior, and I never will again, as I certainly won't be going back to the place. I can only strongly advise against it.

There was only one seat outside in 16-degree heat and rain. After waiting 1.5 hours for our food (after about five takeaway orders were placed after ours), we had the food packed. Nice people, but so disorganized.

We came here because of the good reviews and were unfortunately very disappointed. The service was abysmal. We waited almost an hour for our food, even though the place was fairly empty. The restaurant was being delivered during that time, so we suspect no one had time to cook. We were sitting there with a hungry toddler. I would have at least expected the server to inform us in advance about the extreme wait time or to show up in the meantime. On top of that, the price-performance ratio here is completely out of this world. €11 for a salad that's 70% iceberg lettuce... It really lacked refinement. In short: ABSOLUTELY NOT RECOMMENDED

The food was truly disappointing! The quality wasn't particularly good. The best part was actually the bread that came as a welcome gift from the kitchen. Everything else was truly overpriced and bland.

Very good Italian restaurant. We had vitello, bruschetta de la casa, pasta with clams, pasta with strips of beef fillet, and tiramisu. All the dishes, except for the vitello, were very tasty and very well prepared. The vitello was a little disappointing because the meat wasn't cooked pink and was therefore a bit tough. Extremely attentive and friendly service. Good quality wines by the glass. The restaurant is highly recommended.

The pizza tasted okay, but the pizza frutti di Mae had a lot of small pieces of shells; they didn't know how to handle fish at all. I can't recommend our meal; it was a solid 6.

We ordered food and picked it up. Since there was no website, we went by the menu posted on the notice board with the prices. When we paid, we were surprised to find that the dishes were on average €3.00 more expensive. We were then told that these were still the old prices. That's completely unacceptable; the comment was that they would replace the menu. 😡 The salad was very good, the pizza was large, but had few toppings.

In February 25, I provided a marketing service worth several thousand euros for the restaurant Da GiGi and for the seasonal opening of Eiskaffe, which belongs to the same owner Claudio, with 5 employees in just 3 days, which other companies would need several weeks and would be much, much more expensive! Due to the expenses for the reopening of the ice cream parlor in February 25th, shortly before the end of the payment period, Claudio asked me to pay this amount in installments and offered me long-term cooperation as a customer with us and promised and promised and promised... Since the employees have to be paid, I have verifiably vouched for my partner company privately out of my pocket and have not been paid a salary since the end of February!!! If you are looking for a lively Italian restaurant with very good home cooking in SPO, you have come to the right place. Table reservation is highly recommended. If you still have to wait a bit, you get an aperitif on the house. Next we continue with a "greeting from the kitchen" - a mini pizza for two people with tomato and pesto and a white cream. If you can't manage such large portions, you should adjust your actual order accordingly, as I was actually almost full after half the mini pizza. Surprisingly, there was also a huge portion of spaghetti with seafood. No expense was spared with all kinds of sea creatures and they were also extremely tasty. The tagliatelle with spinach and gorgonzola are also highly recommended. The Lugana was particularly suitable as an accompaniment. Overall, very generous portions and very attentive and friendly service. Gladly again!

After a long walk in the sunshine, we stopped for an Aperol and dessert. The Aperol was too thin for us. So it stayed at one. Then ordered “homemade tiramisu” and a tartufo for dessert. Having worked at the Italian restaurant for many years, I can say that it was definitely not "homemade". Unfortunately there wasn't enough mascarpone and there was a lot of cream. You can taste it. The ladyfingers were soggy. It doesn't justify the price of €10.90.

Unfortunately, despite reservation, we were given a seat in the passage, which was actually only used as a waiting area. Other guests look at every bite in your mouth, which is not acceptable.
