We were absolutely thrilled with this pizzeria! The food was simply delicious, the atmosphere cozy and personal. The waiter, Guiseppe, was super nice and really took care of us. What impressed us most, however, was the chef, Manuel, who not only cooks himself but also finds time for his guests. That's true hospitality! We've been visiting this small, romantic restaurant for several years. I've rarely experienced a place that offers such solid quality combined with top-notch service. Even the catering went smoothly. We've grown very fond of the entire team, and we always look forward to returning. You quickly notice that this is a family business. The quality is consistent and of a high standard. The chef personally cooks. The only criticism we can find is that you should book well in advance. The restaurant has relatively few tables inside.

Every visit to the Cantina is a bit like a vacation with friends. The atmosphere is warm and informal, and the food is always delicious; the daily specials feature creative interpretations of traditional Italian dishes. The pizzas and pastas are also really good. The soups were good, but the pasta was a disaster: carbonara with overcooked pasta and watery sauce, tagliolini with cheap and tasteless truffles. "Authentic Sicilian"? If so, I feel sorry for Sicily. ❌ Cash only, high prices, cheap ingredients. ⚠️ 4.8 stars completely unjustified. Avoid.

We haven't been to Ristorante La Piccola Cantina in a while and actually had fond memories of it. On our most recent visit, the pizza and meat dish were mediocre at best, the outdoor ambiance wasn't particularly pleasant despite the summer weather, and the service could definitely be improved. Since the prices there have recently risen to a level that doesn't reflect the quality of the food, we'll look elsewhere in the future if we have an appetite for Italian cuisine.

Stopped by spontaneously, the place looked inviting, and the waiter introduced himself as Sicilian, which raised our expectations. Prices were above average, so we expected the quality to match. We ordered two Aperol Spritz, a bean soup, and minestrone. Soups were decent in flavor but overpriced for the portions. 🍝 Pasta: A Major Letdown Carbonara (12,50 €): Overcooked pasta, bland sauce made with smoked bacon, and topped with parsley. Poor execution of a classic dish. Tagliolini with truffle (24,50 €): Watery, flavorless sauce and truffle that tasted industrial rather than fresh. Not worth the price. When I voiced my concerns, the response was "This is how we do it in Sicily." In that case, I feel sorry for Sicilian people. ⚠️ Additional Notes: Cash only, despite being 2025 I specifically asked. Quiet, older crowd. Not a lively atmosphere ❌ Final Verdict: Service tried to be polite, but the food fell far below expectations. Disappointing execution and overpriced dishes. There are many great Italian spots in Berlin, unfortunately, this isn’t one of them. And honestly, I don’t understand how this place has such high reviews. It doesn’t reflect reality at all.

I lived in Italy (Alto Adige) for 20 years, and this pasta was absolutely unacceptable, especially for the astronomical price. Completely off, tasteless, and watery. The Google rating of 4.8 makes absolutely no sense to me; it doesn't reflect reality. After asking, they said payment was cash only, so I had to walk 1 km to my car to get the cash.

I was very satisfied on my first visit, but unfortunately, my second visit will also be my last. I ordered spaghetti carbonara, which, according to the menu, should have been served with only egg and no cream. So, according to the original recipe. But an explanation or apology would have been far more appropriate than attacking me straight away. What a shame!

It is an Italian restaurant that has been run with heart and soul for 10 years. The owners are a young couple, they have practically grown into the restaurant business. La Piccola Cantina offers creative Italian cuisine as well as traditional Italian cuisine. Manuel (the boss) personally goes shopping for fresh produce every day. Giuseppe, the waiter, takes excellent care of the guests and recommends great Italian wines. The restaurant is small and fine and offers around 30 seats inside. Since last year, a veranda has also been created outside so that guests can sit outside in a heated manner even when it is raining or cold. In summer the restaurant offers a beautiful, inviting summer terrace with around 40 seats. You immediately feel welcome - as if you were visiting friends in Italy. La Piccola Cantina is an absolute recommendation. Five out of five stars

Visited the restaurant last night with a friend who has been here several times for dinner and celebrations. We were both happy with the food, it was tasty; She had pasta, a salad and a glass of wine, I had a tuna pizza and a hefeweizen - so far so good. However, we both left in a huff and I certainly won't be returning. I had barely sat down after arriving when I was asked what I would like to drink, whereupon I first asked for the menu. During the meal the waiter came over and over again and wanted to know if we wanted to order anything else. No, we didn't want to. You can rate this as super attentive service, but we found it too intrusive and almost coercive, i.e. as a pressure to order something else. My impression from the start was that the waiter always seemed to want to make jokes; perhaps he thought he was particularly charming? It was just annoying because at the beginning I made it clear in a friendly but matter-of-fact and firm manner that I was there primarily to eat and talk to my girlfriend and that I wasn't interested in his behavior (sorry, maybe harsh words but that's how he came across; according to reviews, other guests appreciate just that?). As a "punishment" we were not offered any schnapps on the house before or after the bill - otherwise usual there. Despite everything, we typed.

We ate there today and were served by Giuseppe. A very polite, attentive and humorous waiter. We had 2 small children with us and he also kept the little ones entertained and involved very well. For example, my son asked my husband how the pepper mill works. Giuseppe heard this and came to us in a free moment to explain it to him. That was great and all the children's eyes lit up. Were there in winter, the first reaction was that the door to the cabonara gets cold, because as a new guest you can see everything because you come into a small anteroom. Plus, no cola, only diet cola without asking!!! This only came about because of my statement. Plus pizza is more bad than good!! Once and never again!!! Menu disastrous

A small Italian restaurant that you sometimes walk past without paying attention, BUT if you do that, you don't know what you're missing out on. A really great Italian restaurant with a large, ever-changing selection of dishes that are always fresh and tasty prepared by chef “Manuel”. A highlight here in Mariendorf. The prices are a little higher, but you can enjoy a few nice hours here with the always friendly staff. The large ham cutting machines on the counter are impressive, where the Parma ham is always freshly cut. A tip: it would make sense to make a reservation in advance and it would be best to arrive with the BVG, because there are hardly any parking spaces and you can then also try the delicious wines. Another great evening for us today. The staff is still friendly and willing to have humorous conversations. The food was very good as always, even if we don't come here regularly, we will definitely come back here again and again.

Very tasty, always happy to go there

The waiter behaved discriminatory and abusive towards me, perhaps because he thought that something like that could be done to an unaccompanied woman. I saw that the people at the next table were given a basket of olives and bread, and later, when a couple sat down at a table, they were immediately given bread and olives. I got nothing. Only when my starter came from the kitchen did the waiter (!) ask me if I wanted bread with it. I didn't understand why he even asked, it's clear that you get bread with your carpaccio. Before he put the plate with the carpaccio in front of me, he first cleared my table with the words "At Italians, everything always has to be straight." Then he threw the napkin onto my lap with a reprimanding gesture. He treated me like I was a disobedient school child. At this point I actually had no desire to stay there and should have left. The carpaccio came dry, only covered with arugula and without the usual mushroom slices. I asked the waiter if I understood correctly that the carpaccio was not dressed. He told me how it was dressed but it was dry on the plate, to which I asked for oil, lemon and pepper to make it edible myself (a starter worth over €16!). Along with the carpaccio, the waiter finally brought the bread. I would have liked to order fish as the main course, but all fish dishes only come with salad as a side dish and unfortunately no vegetables. So I chose the lasagne and got a large piece of bone-dry pasta sheets that stuck together (frozen goods), with basically no minced meat, no béchamel sauce and completely unseasoned. I only know lasagna served hot in a casserole dish and not in the way I got it. I decided not to order dessert for understandable reasons, but I did order an espresso, which was also disappointing: thin, weak and with little foam. I thought this restaurant had a certain pretension, but I guess I was wrong. Needless to say, I didn't get a digestif with the bill, as is usually the case. I had to ask twice to take the money I had put down, whereupon an employee told the waiter in Italian in a snide tone to take my money because I probably didn't have time. And actually, because of what I had experienced, I wanted to leave that place as quickly as possible and no longer subject myself to this disrespectful treatment. I forgot to say that the music, especially at the beginning, was uproariously loud.

My wife Tina, my friend Gerardo and I went to Ristorante La Piccola Cantina for the first time today and it won't be the last time. I had Carpaccio di Manzo as a starter, it was super tasty, paper-thin beef with fresh rocket and Parmesan cheese. For the main course I had Saltimbocca alla Romana. The meat was super tender and perfectly prepared with Parma ham and fresh sage and a wine sauce. There were also braised potatoes and vegetables. See photos of my food. The service was courteous and professional. We haven't had so much fun and enjoyment in a restaurant for a long time. We can recommend it 100%. And would love to come back.

Wir waren nun des öfteren zu Gast oder nahmen Pizza mit. Das Essen ist, gleich welches, immer lecker. Es gibt eine feste Karte als auch eine Tafel mit variierenden Speisen. Bedient wird man sehr freundlich, ein (oder auch mehr) Spaß ist in der Regel auch beinhaltet. Im Winter ist reservieren schon fast Pflicht, im Sommer je nach Wetter auch. Im Sommer kann auch draußen überdacht gesessen werden. Schade ist, wenn der Parma-Schinken, der frisch vor Ort per handgekurbelter Maschine geschnitten wird, nicht mehr verfügbar ist und somit auf der Pizza Rucola mit Ankündigung fehlt, was heuck erst einmal geschah. Derzeit kenne ich jedoch kein italienisches Restaurant in Berlin, in das ich lieber ginge.

So here we have another absolute highlight. La Piccola Cantina is a small Italian restaurant in Tempelhof/Alt-Mariendorf. We were here after playing black light mini golf. Otherwise, the store is far away from the areas where I usually stay. Everything inside is cozy and the atmosphere is absolutely authentic. Here you are dealing with real Italians. We had the best waiter ever. Happy, friendly, always with a saying on his lips. We laughed a lot and overall everything was very familiar. Nobody gave the impression that they didn't feel like it or were stressed. On the contrary, people love their work here and it shows. It was really fun and the food was great too. The paste with truffles and parmesan was tossed in the parmesan wheel directly at the table and the truffles were freshly shaved. Absolutely heavenly and it tasted so good. The desserts were shown to us beforehand and you couldn't refuse. I would recommend everyone to eat there and I would go there again at any time. 10/10 points with asterisk ⭐️(unpaid advertising)
