Ristorante La Fontana in Schwarmstedt

La Fontana was nothing but a bowel movement after a lackluster meal: carpaccio covered in yellow cheese and undercooked pizza dripping with water from the vegetables. In my opinion, the chef needs to improve his craft.

The food was absolutely delicious, and as a surprise, there was a fantastic dessert. We were there as a work team and will definitely be back. Thanks for the lovely evening! 🤗

Today wasn't our first time here, but I haven't left a review yet. To sum it up, we'd be happy to come back. The food and service were first-class, the atmosphere clean and very pleasant. If there's one criticism, it might be that it was a bit loud in the dining room. But for me, that falls under "la dolce vita"; if you're feeling good, it's okay to be a bit louder. Although all the tables in the restaurant were occupied, we were served very quickly and friendly, and we only had a short wait for the food to arrive. For me, La Fontana is the best Italian restaurant in the area. I would recommend making a reservation on weekends.

Today I ordered the dish of the day at my favorite Italian restaurant, La Fontana—tagliatelle with pumpkin pesto and turkey strips. It was super delicious, and the arugula and cheese topping was also a feast for the eyes. As always, everything was perfect; service and value for money were top-notch. I'd happily go back 👍

We come here often and really enjoy coming here. The food is always delicious. The staff knows their craft and treats their guests with passion and love. Our server, Ann, spoiled us from start to finish, and the pasta dish "à la Ann" demonstrates her dedication to her job. Thank you for this wonderful stay. The tables are spaced well enough to ensure a certain degree of privacy even when the house is full. Upscale ambiance without exorbitant prices. All in all, a highly recommended restaurant. We would be happy to return.

My husband and I usually enjoy coming to La Fontana, but this weekend I was very disappointed by the chubby blonde waitress who was wandering around and was only concerned with making eyes at my husband :-( We won't be visiting the restaurant again when she's there!!!

We were there yesterday with a somewhat larger group of girls. Without exception, everyone thought the food, service, and ambiance were more than excellent. We were very satisfied, and I don't think it will be our last meeting there.

We placed a large pizza order for the entire team – everything went perfectly! The pizzas and pastas were ready on time, delicious, and hot, despite the quantity of over 15 dishes. The quality was top-notch, the toppings fresh and plentiful, and the base just right. The organization and service were also super friendly and reliable. This visit was anything but great. Our table reservation was forgotten, but that wasn't a big deal. We grabbed cutlery and chairs from the neighboring tables. Cards were brought quickly, but then no one came. 25 minutes later, we placed our order. We had two children with us. Nothing happened... no drinks... just nothing. Suddenly, the food arrived. Drinks... none... They came later. The food was abysmal. Service was nonexistent... no more drinks, no one came. Hey guys, if we had had a different last name, we would have been served here too. It was the last time we visited this restaurant. Just sad 😢

Pizza bread is sold as bruschetta. Now that's a rip-off. The potato and vegetable side dish consisted only of potatoes and cauliflower (including the cauliflower stalk), which was quite bad. The Antipasti Classico, at €13.50, was far too expensive for such a small amount. I've had much better.

Last week, I spontaneously got a nice spot without a reservation. Always a great experience, both the food and the service are fantastic. The highlight for me was the strawberry tiramisu, incredibly delicious!

I was delighted to get gluten-free pasta with a delicious saffron sauce and spinach! The Campari orange juice was just right! Delicious, mild orange juice and just enough Campari. The Aetna salad and the sauce were also delicious. The service was excellent! I'd happily eat there again! Great value for money!

We often come here from Wedemark to eat. Everything is very harmonious and hospitable. We feel very comfortable at La Fontana. Yesterday we ordered takeout for the first time and picked it up. It went smoothly, and the food was still very hot despite the 15-minute drive. Wonderful!!!

The restaurant is truly worth a visit. The food was excellent, whether pasta, pizza, or the appetizers. They were prepared with love. You can taste the difference that this chef knows his craft. I/we have been coming to 'La Fontana' for about 30 years. The food is highly recommended and offers good value for money. The menu offers something for every taste and is extensive. "La Fontana" is always a good place for good food—but also for parties, meetings with friends, or a lunchtime snack. Reservations are recommended, as the excellent food and exceptionally friendly service are known beyond Schwarmstedt's borders.

Main courses were fresh, tasty, and plentiful. We had an exceptionally delicious strawberry tiramisu for dessert. We'll definitely be back!

A nice restaurant with somewhat stiff service, but delicious pizzas!

A lovely Italian restaurant where we like to linger every now and then because we like the atmosphere. As for the food, it's a mixed bag when it comes to the different dishes. Once I ordered cannelloni, which was nice and hot on the outside but had an almost cold filling on the inside, or the pizza was in the oven a little too long, which meant the crust was very hard, which is definitely a criticism. However, there were other times when we had no complaints. The service, on the other hand, was generally good.

I've eaten here several times now and have always been treated in a friendly and courteous manner. Starting with the service staff, who give you a very warm welcome. Now for the food: there's nothing wrong with it; it's beautifully presented and the taste is simply top-notch, from salads to pasta to pizza. The chef is also super friendly. All in all, I can recommend this restaurant to everyone, and it's always a pleasure to come here. 5 stars aren't really enough.

We had dinner there last Saturday. Even though the restaurant was busy and we hadn't made a reservation, we got a table without waiting. The service was friendly and attentive and we only had to wait a short time for our food. Unfortunately we were a bit disappointed with the food itself. We all ordered pasta dishes and they were definitely not seasoned enough for our taste. Furthermore, I had to look for the mushrooms and the egg for my Maccaroni al forno, as they basically weren't available. The pasta wasn't macaroni, but a mix of rigatoni and penne.

The ambience is quite nice, unfortunately the acoustics are a bit difficult, with slightly higher visitor frequencies you can hardly understand your own words. The food is good, but if you take it carefully you will notice that this is not really Italian cuisine. The service is generally very friendly. Price - performance is right.

I have been living in Schwarmstedt for a long time and do not eat out very often, but decided to give La Fontäne a try. We were very impressed with the staff,food and the atmosphere. We will definitely go again as the menu was very interesting with many choices not normally found.

We were there again yesterday to celebrate our daughter's birthday with the family. The welcome was warm as always, the food was phenomenal and the service was great and attentive. I ordered 1 pizza and a salad. The pizza was stuck to the box. After the pizza I was full (sarcasm) when I ordered I was told the price was around €25. The driver came then said €29.30. Seriously that was the first and last time I ordered there😡😡 that's more expensive than in Berlin-Mitte.

It is always a great place to go for a nice dinner in Schwarmstedt! The food ist fantastic, Jose, Manuel, "Mama" and the rest of the service staff is very friendly and helpfull! We will go again next time we are in Germany!

The restaurant is located in the hotel. We were spontaneously welcomed on a Friday without a reservation (but I called ahead to find out if there was still room). We were escorted to a nicely set table and our drink requests were immediately taken. Here I recommend: let the guests arrive quickly. That always gives you a bit of a breather. Nonetheless, a nice sign of service spirit. After studying the menu, we chose classic dishes from Italian cuisine in the form of carpaccio, the classic carbonara and an alternative version of pizza carpaccio with rocket and parmesan. Noteworthy: Two types of carbonara are offered. The “German” cream variant and the classic one without the cream. There is a selection of children's meals as well as a selection of classic vegetarian dishes from Italian cuisine. However, these are not explicitly marked. After a short wait, the children's meal and starter we ordered came to the table, freshly prepared. Bread was also served on the table as a greeting. The main courses were just as fresh and tasty and served in good quantities. The service is suitable at any time and questions were asked about your well-being. At the end we ordered dessert, which was also fresh and beautifully presented. During the course of our visit, the restaurant filled up noticeably (our visiting time was 5:30 p.m. to 7 p.m.), which indicates that the restaurant is a focal point for hotel guests but also for local residents and therefore represents a good indicator of quality. Conclusion: 4 stars are given for a well-run, classic Italian restaurant with a good, traditional and diverse culinary selection of dishes, friendly service and good service. Thank you. We would be happy to come back again when we are in the area.

We had ordered takeaway. The food itself is OK, not outstanding, but not bad either, grade:3 Unfortunately there were a few errors with our order. So the sauce was forgotten for the children's spaghetti al pomodoro and the arugula was forgotten for another portion of spaghetti. Cunningly, this portion of arugula ended up on the Caprese pizza. Unfortunately, there was supposed to be basil on there, which was unfortunately missing. Too bad. Overall, we were all full.

Pleasant atmosphere, very authentic owners whose origins cannot be denied (in a positive sense). When asked why you don't get a table until 8 p.m. (on a public holiday), you have to get the answer first: it's not our fault that we're so horny! Above all, it doesn't come across as arrogant, that was great cinema 😁 The food was outstanding, from Italian salad to pasta to pizza. It can happen that I leave the edge of the pizza left over, in which case the edge was so delicious that I had to eat it even though nothing else was actually possible. Only my special request for onions on the pizza was forgotten, but that was completely free. A sincere apology was made and the manner of service made up for it all.

Wir waren mit 13 Personen zum Essen a la Carte aus Bremen angereist. Steak, Fisch, Vegetarisch und Pizza wurden zeitgleich und auf den Punkt perfekt zubereitet serviert. Eine Meisterleistung der Küche. Die Pizzaesser unter uns waren sich einig. Das war der beste Pizzaboden, den wir jemals hatten. Der Service war herzlich. Und wäre all das noch nicht genug, ergab sich die Gelegenheit zu einem kurzem Gespräch und Foto mit dem Scorpions Gitaristen Rudolf Schenker!!

Family reunion at La Fontana in Schwarmstedt: We are thrilled! We have been here many times with friends, now with 15 people, we came from Bremen and met here to feast + very nicely set table in a nice ambience + Starter plates were pre-ordered and they were very good + we ordered a la carte: fish, steak, fillet, lamb and chicken, pizza, spaghetti,...very different, very individual...everything came at the same time, everything was prepared right to the point, everything was very tasty! We sat next to the Scorpions grotto, which is in the middle of the restaurant. How amazed were the three hard rockers among us when they saw them for the first time - real hard rock guitars on the wall, and then the innkeeper said to us: "Maybe one of them will stop by today...if you want, I'll let you know" and 20 Minutes later it was time: group photo with Rudolf Schenker with a short hello! + the hospitality was as super nice as always, perfect support even for a larger group like us: nice, attentive, ... a big thank you to the whole team!
